Waterfront holiday rentals in Setesdal

You feel yourself surrounded by a long waterfall with its beautiful water ambience and snow capped mountains. There is a breeze whose freshness is immediately felt once you open your lungs for it. The cabin is noise proof. Bathrooms are in top condition and kitchen is well equipped. Beds are very comfortable and we never felt tired after waking up daily. I stayed for two months in a beautiful surrounding environment. There was a beach where you could refresh right near the accommodation, and the surrounding neighborhood was quiet, so it was good for a comfortable rest. It was a season when the weather was cold and it rained a lot, so it was a shame that I couldn't enjoy the outside environment freely, and because of that, it's a place I want to go again in a season when the weather is good. However, it was a shame that the ceiling of the house was a little low.

The apartment is really great and surrounded by water. We were there over Pentecost and it was wonderfully quiet. Rune's supermarket is right next door and unfortunately was closed over the holidays during our stay. Otherwise, it's super practical. Rune is very friendly and we also rented his little boat to sail across the Lysefjord. A great experience!

We enjoyed our time here! Brit is a welcoming and caring host, communication was very smooth. The accommodation is very well equipped, furnished and decorated with care. Sand is a peaceful corner and the view from the terrace is incredible. We strongly recommend! Aymeric & Emilie

A great accommodation - the best we had on our round trip! The apartment is optimally cut, everything is available, top clean and the hostess is very friendly. We highly recommend it!

We've had a lot of fun with Judith and Bouke. We felt very welcome from the first moment. The house is delicate and well-equipped and the view is simply magical. It was very pleasant to cycle Gamleveien to Folkestadbyen and relax on the beach near the house. Judith's gallery was the very highlight of Folkestadbyen. The finest place there. We have acquired two fine works that we took home and hung on the walls. How lucky we are to have such wonderful memories from our trip! Our daughter got to play with the cat and she had a lot of fun out on the sunny terrace. Many thanks to Judith and Bouke for their hospitality and kindness! This place is highly recommended!💖

We were lucky enough to stay at the property for three nights. Everything looks very lovingly and attention to detail furnished. Just a dream. There was nothing missing. There are various seating on the beautiful terrace. The water is in walking distance. There are beautiful sandy beaches a few minutes away by car. We felt completely comfortable. Warmest recommendation for this home.

We spent 9 days at Lene's house, and we loved it very much. Even though the weather was mostly rainy and overcast, we enjoyed the spectacular view from the house. Nature around is stunning, going for a drive gives you a surprise at every turn of the road, there so many beautiful fjords. We were concerned about the street right next to the house, but the traffic is moderate and it didn't disturb us at all. The house is meticulously clean, and it looks the way you expect after seeing the images. Lene is very responsive and friendly, when we had a question about heating and using the stove, she came immediately out to show us how it works, and she gave us some helpful information about the area. All in all it was a wonderful experience, and we would definitely like to come again, maybe in spring when there is a better chance to have some sun.

Really nice place with access to small beach, hot tub and cozy conservatory to enjoy the view from. Large window section in living room/kitchen overlooking the fjord and mountains. SO nice! Walking distance to ferry to Lysebotn, Flørli, etc. Very good and nice host who gave us great recommendations for great trips with small children and answered questions minutes after we wrote. We'll definitely be back someday 😍

We had a really good stay at Karin and René's coziest cabin in Øvre Ramse. The most relaxing cabin, overlooking the most beautiful lake and in beautiful nature far from city life. The impressive mountain and the waterfall that you could hear at the house is so beautiful. There are beautiful and good hiking routes close by or a little drive from the cabin, we had a 3 year old on a trip. Their Youtube videos are easy to follow.

The house has a great location and a beautiful view of the fjord. There are also many beautiful hikes that start nearby. Anne Marie and her husband were very friendly, helpful and always quick to reach. We would definitely come back.

Eva not say enough about this beautiful house. The location was picturesque and tranquil, we enjoyed sipping our nespresso looking at the view. There was more than enough space for two families, even though we were only three. We had a sauna every day and were lucky to have some snow. The beds were heavenly, we slept in every day. We did some skiing at Panorama Vradal right down the road. Kiki was super responsive in helping us figure things out. Her place is perfect for rest and relaxation. We will be back!!

This house is simply a dream. There is everything you need and with the fireplace and the view of the water you just feel comfortable. The hosts were always available and very friendly. We can recommend this place and were sad when we had to leave. It's really worth a reservation. Thx

Anne’s place is a hidden gem! It looks good in the picture but it’s even better in real. The location is ideal with mountains, lake, trails, parks for kids and groceries. The home was athletically decorated, the beds were very comfortable and the living space was cozy with a beautiful view. The kitchen was well stocked with essentials. Anne has been very kind and welcomed us to the apartment warmly. She shared local recommendations and made sure our stay was comfortable. We would love to revisit! Thanks much Anne ❤️

We rarely found such a clean apartment. And on top of that, superbly equipped, chicly furnished and with a great cozy terrace. The location is also great to explore the coastal region around Lillesand and Kristiansand or if you want to use the ferry. Everything was just right 😃👍

Very nice accommodation with large garden, private small area and jetty directly on the water overlooking the fjord estuary and the small harbor directly in the village. Stavanger can be reached in ~40 minutes and the nearest small town of Jorpesland is about 20 minutes away. In the village, however, there are 2 small supermarkets. Nature is incredibly beautiful and there are many hiking trails such as the Preikestolen, Sollifjell, Uburen within 30 minutes reach. The boat tour directly in Forsand is also highly recommended. Torhild was super nice and accommodating. She gave us a lot of recommendation for activities, shopping, restaurants and much more. We were able to contact her 24/7 on site or via app. Overall, the accommodation has been very nice, the surroundings are full of impressive nature and there is no lack of activities / tranquility. The week-long stay was perfect for us. We would not do anything else in retrospect! Thank you :-)
