Saltwell Cottage Seahouses

Available from Monday 4th July 2022 Gorgeous fully renovated detached cottage in the heart of the bustling seaside village of Seahouses. The property has undergone extensive renovation to provide a stylish, luxury four bedroom, four bathroom cottage with sunny gardens to the front and rear. A spacious open plan living, dining, kitchen with bi fold doors leading on to the garden with sunny patio, provides the ideal sociable living space for a holiday with family or friends. At Saltwell Cottage, there are four bedrooms, three king size with en-suite bathrooms and a twin (full size adult singles) which has use of the family bathroom together with free standing bath and walk in shower. There is off street parking for up to three cars. The cottage is very well located; only a short five minutes walk down the main street or the Heritage Path to the beautiful beaches of Seahouses and its bustling harbour. The cottage is close to the village shops, delis, cafes, pubs, restaurants and club and of course Seahouses' many award winning fish and chip shops! Some of the beautiful villages of the north Northumberland coast are just a few miles away. Both Bamburgh and Beadnell are less than three miles in either direction and are accessible by foot along a sealed path. The town of Alnwick, with its 'Harry Potter' castle and stunning Alnwick Gardens is only a 20 minute drive and the glorious Cheviot Hills can be easily reached from the cottage. Or if you just want to stay put, Seahouses has loads to offer from boat trips to the Farne Islands, crabbing on the harbour, boarding in the dunes to crazy golf and amusements. Topped off with some popular bars and restaurants. Golf enthusiasts will love Seahouses golf club, enviably positioned on the links overlooking the Farne Islands. Comfortable, quiet, harbour-front holiday apartment with spectacular views and accommodation for 4 (we can take 6 but send a message to us before booking if there are more than 4 in your party) on the edge of Seahouses. Views out to the Farne Islands where you can see countless sea birds - or stay put and watch the wildlife from the apartment. It is situated only a 2 minute walk to the golf course and less than 5 minute walk to the beach, town centre and local amenities. Please note in peak months and school holidays bookings are Saturday to Saturday

The Byre is a delightful upcycled 19th century listed cow byre on an old farm. The room looks out on to the farm courtyard. There is a large garden for visitors use, and dark skies above us. We are an eco friendly family, and the Byre comes with a private composting toilet in a separate wooden shed, and a water supply just outside.Think of it as cosy camping in a stone tent.

We were a group of six friends and stayed in this lovely part of Northumberland for a long weekend. The house was very clean, comfortable and spacious. The garden has sun all day and we enjoyed sitting out for breakfast and early evening drinks. It was lovely to be so close to the beach too. Rebecca was a super- responsive host, gave clear info about how to find the house and where useful things like beach towels and picnic rugs were stored ahead of our arrival. She also sent great tips about the local area and suggestions of where to eat. Thoroughly recommend.

A home from home. This stay was fantastic. Attention to detail was fabulous, stunning views and little gifts for the children, snack box, everything we needed was there. Quiet and relaxing. We hope to venture back in the future. Genevieve was also really responsive to any questions, very kind and helpful.

This is the most amazing Airbnb with stunning views from the first floor sitting room. We loved our stay there particularly the view from the sitting room looking out to the harbour. There seemed to be so much thought given to every little thing & there is nothing that we didn’t like so would highly recommend it & hope very much to return. The area is wonderful with great beaches & castles & we loved our trips to the Farne Islands & to Lindisfarne. All in all we had a brilliant time.

The apartment is exceptional! Everything is of a high quality and Sonia has thought of everything. The communication and information pack, before our stay was very comprehensive and useful. The apartment is a wonderful, peaceful space and the views are incredible. We loved watching the seabirds. Seahouses is a very special place and we hope to return to The Lookout. Wouldn’t want to stay anywhere else. Thank you for the delicious handmade biscuits and cava. xx
