Kid-friendly holiday rentals in Schwende-Rüte

We spent a very nice weekend here. The accommodation has everything it needs and the location is very nice: a good view, surrounded by sheep pastures, quiet and private. Karin responded very quickly and kindly to inquiries.

Spectacular location and a house that matches.. we had a lovely time, very well designed and built house, takes fully advantage of the beautiful scenery out side, highly recommended.. PS.. this applies for only during May-June ‘25 as the road in front of the house is getting repaired, it is important to note that there is only walking access to the house. This means that guests will need to carry their luggage for certain sections of the route from the parking lot.. just to provide clarity there is no option to drag your wheeled luggage to the house, it will need to be carried. Just wanted to provide this clarity as I thought this was assumed by us.. although the host had communicated to use about the access but this aspect was not clarified.

We had a great time staying at Jeannine’s. The house is very cozy and the view around the house is beautiful. Jeannine is very responsive and gave us clear instructions.

We had a wonderful stay in the very well-equipped house. The sauna and the cooling pool were especially nice.

We were there with our 21-month-old daughter and we all felt very comfortable, so a clear recommendation 😊

We stayed at Eden Cottage for 3 nights in mid June, as a family of 4 adults and our dog. Big thanks to our host Martina, who was very prompt and supportive with any of our requests. Checking into the house was very easy, and all house rules were clearly communicated. A Things-To-Do folder made it easy for spontaneous activity ideas. The house is well located in the countryside of Stein am Rhein, and is very close to supermarkets. The railway station, Rhine river and old town are within 10-15 minutes walking distance. The house itself is ideal for 4 people and a pet. All amenities are available, and the interior decor is great and thoughtful. The large garden is beautiful with many plants and trees. Our dog really enjoyed himself exploring around the garden. Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will definitely visit again!

The location where the cottage is located is really nice! You have a great view of the Säntis and can start hiking directly from the accommodation. The accommodation was as described, only the curtains were a little too translucent for us. We were on site with two dogs and felt very comfortable :-)

We were in St. Peterzell for a short trip with the vintage car to explore the area from there. The charming Toggenburg, Lake Constance, St. Gallen. The old house is lovingly and very originally renovated and we enjoyed living in it. Everything you need was available and even more, such as records, not played in ages :-) The house was sparkling clean and in every corner we discovered new beautiful things. People over 1.80 m have to duck their heads in the rooms (classic house just for the area...) Adeline immediately asked if we had everything and was immediately available for questions. We would come back, thank you very much!

The apartment is centrally located yet quiet. The train station, supermarket and bakery are a 5-minute walk away. The kitchen is very well equipped (including raclette oven and fondue caquelon). It is worth booking at least three nights to benefit from the best holiday card in Switzerland (including free check-in and return by train). We felt very comfortable with Hans and Hildegard and will come back.

We enjoyed our holiday in the very clean and super equipped apartment. By car we made many excursions and also on site we used some hiking trails. We felt very welcome, could contact Michael at any time and got good excursion tips. We will be happy to come back!

We had a blissful stay at Michael’s place overlooking the lake. As fans of architecture, we truly appreciated the thoughtfully designed space—every detail felt intentional and well planned. It was clear how much care and love went into creating this home, and we’re grateful to the hosts for sharing such a personal and special place with us. Accommodation in the Swiss countryside with a beautiful view and access to a terrace with chairs, table, barbecue and lounge chair. The bedroom is accessible by a staircase without a door. The accommodation has private access and a private terrace. Close to stables and hiking trails.

The apartment of Iwona and Martin, is an attic apartment without a balcony but with the large windows you feel as if the apartment is completely open. The apartment is actually completely furnished, you can set up additional beds and the kitchen has several utensils for almost all cooking skills. Public transport is in the immediate vicinity, so you can do a lot without using a car. Because you are directly on the lake, several restaurants and bars are within walking distance. Thx

Peters place was the most perfect stay for our merry team on our road trip from Berlin to Lucca. The kitchen had everything we could’ve wanted, the view from the balcony was spectacular and the location is perfect for walking , shops , swimming at the lake. It was a wonderful stay for all of us, thank you so much.

Really nice appartment perfectly located in Walenstadt. It's a two-bedroom apartment with a separate kitchen and both roomy bathroom and living/diningroom. Highlight is the nice view from the living room as well as the outside area. Fully and well equipped: comfortable beds, the kitchen incl. dish-washing and coffee machines, living room featuring TV incl. gaming console, grill in the exterior area. Some details went beyond expectations: bathroom with pleasant toileteries, complete equipment to grill outside. Location is really convenient. Aprox 10 min walk from both the centre of Walenstadt, as well as from the lake and the big playground for the kids. The area is residential area, at the very end of street hence quite and reassuring for the kids playing outside. Michaela was a wonderful host, preparing the appartment up to details, and also answering questions and helping us to make the stay even more convenient. Looking forward to coming back soon!

We had been looking for a modern apartment for our vacation on Lake Lucerne for a long time and then came across Roshan's great Scandinavian furnished, bright and friendly apartment. We felt very comfortable from the beginning, everything you need is there - compact, high-quality and cozy. Mattress is excellent, we slept super well. The roof terrace is beautifully situated towards the forest hill and you can hear a lot of nature. That's really great. The roof at the back protects from the noise of the road and railway tracks by the lake. The communication was exemplary and super friendly! You can quickly walk to the lake, boat, train and in the village with a bakery, butcher and Lidl. Logistically top location! We highly recommend the apartment and will gladly come back ourselves.

Was at the sporting event in Rapperswil. The accommodation is close to the train station, where you can go in all directions. Optimal. The accommodation is very quiet. Everything was fine. Thank you, Jana and many nice guests.

We were able to enjoy 3 very nice days with the lovely hosts. After a friendly welcome and a thorough check-in, we were well informed about the accommodation and all the possibilities. The apartment has some of the best views of anywhere we have stayed. Spectacular mountain scenery for relaxing in the evenings. A fantastic location to be based for hiking the Liechtenstein way for a week. All amenities you could need are provided. Bus stop 1 minute from the apartment to bring you to Vaduz with easy connections to everywhere, or Malbun in the other direction. We did not meet Sigi but she gave clear instructions and was responsive to all of our questions.

Beautiful apartment located right on the water. This was an amazing experience for my family. Had everything we needed and the beds were very comfy! We had an amazing time! Kitchen had everything we needed to cook. Amazing views and excellent location.

Large apartment that is well furnished with a kitchen, dishwasher and washer/dryer. The neighbourhood is also very quiet - all we could hear were birds chirping. We also appreciated the clear instructions given by Raphael and Dianna. Overall, this is a perfect place to stay if you want to explore the Appenzell region!

We booked to spend a weekend with friends. Thomas's accommodation is perfect, charming and well-equipped. It takes a little over ten minutes to walk to the center, but the place is quiet and the view of the lake is breathtaking.
