Holiday rentals with lake access in Sawyer County

Very nice location, house is very clean, quiet, and has anything you may need. Close to town and restaurants. There was plenty of room for our family. Didn't have time to check out the ice for fishing but would definitely go back.

This place was absolutely perfect for a big boys trip. The place itself was amazing and had everything we needed. The surrounding area was beautiful and secluded and there was plenty of room outside for activities. Overall 10/10 stay it was the perfect weekend. Alyssa was a great host and did everything right.

Tim and Kelly were proactive in their communication leading up to our stay. The sub-zero temps and diminished snow cover had caused issues for the sceptic ahead of our trip; Tim was on the ball lining up local services to resolve the issues ahead of our stay and made sure we had a fun home-base for Birkie week events. This is a comfortable, spacious, and well outfitted cabin in the north woods. Thanks again to Tim and Kelly!

We own a cabin just down the shore line from ViewTopia and needed extra space for some out of town company. This cabin is beautiful and lives up to it's name! I've stayed in many AirBnB's and this one is so well done. They included a lot of little touches and conveniences I've not seen in many others we have used. Great location! Great Hosts! Loved our stay!

Love, love, loved our family stay at this beautiful home on the lake!! We enjoyed everything from our constant view of the water, space for our family to play & sleep! This home was clean & well supplied with everything we needed to enjoy the space both inside & outside, cook & relax! My kids especially loved exploring & playing on the beach & shoreline as is offered shallow waters to explore. We also enjoyed an evening by the fire roasting smores & enjoying the sunset. Proximity to downtown Hayward was handy for grocery stores, cute shops including a super fun candy shop! We will definitely be booking another visit! Thanks for sharing this space with our family!

Our stay was perfect. House was clean, spacious, and perfect for all of us to feel comfortable. We loved the covered deck and the sunsets. Also had fun water “toys” to enjoy the water. We will return!! Rebekah is an amazing host and always responsive to our questions.

We’re very selective about where we stay, and this place absolutely checked all the boxes. It’s a very nice cabin, and we wouldn’t hesitate to book again. Highly recommend! Everything was spotless and very well stocked - we had all the amenities we needed for a comfortable and relaxing trip. The beds were comfortable, and we loved how calm and peaceful the lake was. We enjoyed drinking coffee in the mornings on the deck overlooking the lake and had many meals out there as well. It was the perfect place to unwind. The property itself is beautifully maintained and clearly well cared for. Brent was fantastic with communication, responding quickly and was helpful to any questions we had. The location is also great if you're looking to explore Copper Falls State Park, a must-see in the area!

This was our second stay at this property. We loved it just as much this time as we did the first time. The home is beautiful and the property is peaceful and serene. Makala was prompt and responsive to any questions I directed to her. Our stay went off without a hitch and my family made some wonderful memories. Thanks to Rich and Makala, our time at their property was amazing! We will return.

Perfect place for our quick mini-moon getaway. Nice and cozy on a quiet part of the lake, where I was able to fish off the dock (caught a few including a bass and a northern) while my wife and dog watched while reading a book from the comfy outdoor lounge chairs. The house had everything we needed to cook a few meals and a nice coffee maker for our morning coffee and tea. The house was also extremely clean and everything was in working order. Hayward itself had plenty to do, despite us being about a week early for most of the summer activities. Donna was a very easy host to work with. She reached out prior to our trip with instructions for check-in. She also proactively reached out to make sure everything was going smoothly. We would highly recommend a stay here if you’re looking for a very nice, dog friendly, stay on the lake.

Great location to get away and spend some time on a gorgeous lake. The cabins were so clean and just what you need on a weekend getaway.

It’s a beautiful location. It’s a great space for several people yet a nice living area for everyone to hang out together and privacy within the 4 bedrooms!

We had a wonderful visit. The cabin is beautiful and really well designed. Our kids loved the bunk beds, the canoe, the firepit and the boardgames. We loved the peacefulness of the area and the beautiful views.

We had a great time staying at the cottage and Brittney was really quick to respond to questions and messages throughout the stay. We would definitely stay again and would recommend renting out both cabins for a larger group :)

This place is an absolute gem! Owners and resort workers are incredibly nice and welcoming. The cabins were incredibly clean and provided my group with everything we needed to enjoy a long weekend. The resort offered great amenities for cabin and lake side entertainment, sadly it was too chilly to enjoy. Definitely coming back again

Rodrigo's cabin is beautiful, located in a peaceful area. Everything was as described. The place was very clean and well kept. We appreciated having access to the kayaks. He also provided a good list of restaurants and hiking ideas. My only suggestion will be to provide a map to locate more easily the cabin. I highly recommend this place to others.

Our family decided to take a mini vacation at the last minute and on a whim picked the Fred Thomas Resort. What a win! Family owned and operated, this place had great charm. The staff was so nice and accommodating. Dan and Ted went out of their way to make sure we were never in need of anything. Big Chetek Lake is picturesque! The flower gardens there were outstanding and a great place for colorful photo ops. Our kids had a blast on the playground that was perfectly placed in the center of the cabins you you always had a good view from your cottage window. We tried our hand at fishing from the dock several of the days. Bait, boats, it's all there in site! Took the older kids canoeing and kayaking. Younger kids had fun swimming and splashing around on the water mats. We also burned many calories on the basket ball court. Only slight disappointment was that the rec room was currently closed due to that pesky virus, but there was so many other things to do that it was quickly forgotten. Kids are already asking about when we will return. Definitely worth it if you want to get away from the hustle and bustle of life. A spontaneous decision that did not disappoint. Special thanks to all the staff! We will be sure to book again!
