No complaints at all about this place! It was a hidden gem and well worth the price. The location was good for us - quiet, in a smaller neighborhood, a very peaceful retreat. It was off the beaten path, so would not be for people who want to see or hear the ocean. However, it was SUPER clean, the beds were comfy, A/C worked great, the parking was easy and secure. The gardens were immaculate and offered a jungle feel which we all loved. It is a 3-minute drive from MaxiPali for groceries, etc. and a few more minutes to Quepos.

This place was perfect for our family of 4. It was spacious and the outdoor living space was beautiful. Two pools in the complex were perfect for our kids and the neighbours were all welcoming and friendly. We will definitely be back!

It is located in a very good spot as it is very close to the beach, the facilities are very nice, comfortable and the cleanliness is quite good, I would recommend it and I would also stay again

This home over exceeded our expectations. What an amazing stay, along with the pool and property maintenance. It was a surprise trip for my girlfriend and 9 month old son which I had plans to purpose a few days after, which went absolutely perfect. 5 stars across the board! Highly HIGHLY recommend! The whole accommodation was great, we had enough space, could relax by the pool, cook and enjoy the time. We were able to easily spend two more nights there on request. Would recommend this to anyone.

For a vacation of a lifetime book this beautiful home - it's OUTSTANDING. The whole experience is 5 star. The home is incredible - the wildlife you see is unbelievable - monkeys Toucans huge butterflies Humming birds the list is endless. Andrea the wonderful housekeeper keeps the house immaculate, the gardener picked us fruit and the maintenance is first class. The BEST concierge we have ever had Susan was like having a PA and made our vacation seamless. Scott was very welcoming (your house is off the chart) and we had everything provided to make this a holiday of a lifetime. If you visit the National Park get a guide - or you will see very little they have telescopes that makes the experience. Chef Renzo and Roberto - Michelin * level. Best meal of our vacation - we could not thank them enough - every dish was melt in your mouth delicious. Any food left in the fridge is donated (this filled my heart) This house captures Costa Rica's Pura Vida 100%. Thank you to the whole team .

Two words “ absolutely breathtaking”! I think that pretty much sums up this place. The Host and his team were all super helpful. The property is located on top of a Mountain with INCREDIBLE views. You get a full on view of the tail once the tide recedes. The place was extremely modern and clean. I absolutely loved every piece of decor throughout the villa. I would recommend this place over and over again, to everybody. One thing I would recommend, is that you take the hosts’ advice and stop at the Supermarket at the foot of the mountain before going up. It’s a good 20mins just to get back down for some water😂

Where do I possibly start my summation of this paradise? I'm writing this now while on the plane home. Reliving my experience at Chris & Kristen's propery gives me a smile on my face even when I must return home. The personal touch stood out in a magnificent way. The knowledge of the country, the region, the local places. I felt like I was the only person on their property to care for during my stay. After a rain storm, late at night... I was treated to a tour when the vegetation was at its glory. The sounds, scenery, plant life, and different species of life were amazing. The carefully planned out grounds are a treasure... And constantly being upgraded and cared for everyday. The Villa was awesome. Had everything needed. Beautifully air conditioned, and kept. Bed comfortable, great size refrigerator, and perfectly configured stove. The view from my Villa was incredible, to say the least. My new friends will see me again. Their striving for my comfort was unmatched! TY

Couldn’t have asked for better. 11 of us from age 9 - 63 stayed in this lovely home and everyone enjoyed it. The house is spacious and bright with air conditioning in all of the five en suite bedrooms. The bathrooms are all a generous size. The kitchen is well equipped with two full size fridge/freezers. The entire property inside and out was spotless. The pool is beautifully maintained and there is plenty of outdoor seating and tables. The neighborhood is peaceful with lots of wildlife to appreciate. The beach is gorgeous and never busy. We swam everyday. There are numerous activities within a half hour drive. Finally, Malwina was a truly gracious host, helpful, accommodating and responsive. Elizabeth, the property manager was also wonderful. We looked at dozens of homes in Costa Rica and are delighted we selected Malwina’s. I can’t recommend it highly enough

I booked this listing for a group of 8 women. We all needed time to get away from our busy lives in the U.S. The six nights at La Sombra were peaceful and inspiring! What a beautiful location and beautiful grounds. We were all stunned by the property, in a good way:) It was even better than the beautiful pictures provided. Each villa was appointed beautifully with quality linens, towels, robes, bath soaps, dishes, etc. We especially enjoyed the patio views and the design of the structures that incorporate natural light and the surrounding nature. We ate dinner each night on the patio of the main house, and found a spot for morning meditations on the bridge. Catherine and Ryan were available and responsive before, during and after our visit. And, I cannot say enough about the local cook, Marta. We all wanted to take her home with us! What a treat:) Thank you for sharing your home with us, Catherine and Ryan!

Hillary and Johnny were amazing hosts. Very responsive and attentive to our needs. Always easy to reach and quick to respond. Helped to curate and make this one of our most memorable trips. The property is absolutely amazing. The views are stunning. The drive up the road and the driveway into the home is not for the weak at heart, but it is well worth the effort. My husband and I have stayed in Costa Rica multiple times and this is one of our favorite locations. Road was in much better condition than many of the other roads we have traveled in the past.Hillary helped arrange groceries to be delivered to the Villa prior to our arrival as well as directed us for local private chefs, and private in Villa massages. They were readily available for any needs that arose while we were there. It should be doubted that there are only curtains in one bedroom however that was not a drawback for us. Our stay at Casa Nueva Vida was exceptional in every way. An amazing property in a beautiful part of Costa Rica. From our initial inquiry, until we said good bye with "Pura Vida!", our family of seven thoroughly enjoyed our week-long stay. Pablo's team, headed by our extraordinary concierge, Mefi, was terrific; Mefi was always just a text away and was responsive to our every request. His goal was clearly to make our stay unforgettable -- and he did that! A nice added service was laundry done by our housekeeper, Judith, who also took good care of us. The property is stunning. Plenty of room (indoors and out) for us all, a terrific pool/hot tub with breathtaking sunsets, gorgeous landscaping, and regular visits from white-faced and squirrel monkeys, scarlett macaws and toucans. The monkeys were great entertainment! The villa was a short drive to both Quepos and Manuel Antonio, so well located for excursions. We simply loved our stay. We will be back! I cannot say enough about the beauty of this location. The view is unbelievable. The house is so well sited to take advantage of the view. The porch is gorgeous and soaking tub is lovely. The house is glass on two sides to take full advantage of the view but also completely private. Modern decor with a serene and peaceful vibe. Isaac responded immediately to our questions when we arrived. Great weekend getaway. We will definitely stay here again!

Wilber and his wife are amazing people, keep in mind that there is no restaurants around the area or any shops, but they cooked delicious meals for us. And, keep your repellent close
