Kid-friendly holiday rentals in Sao Vicente

The villa was beautiful - stunning location - and perfectly furnished. Lovely walk to Ponta do Sol village but the walk back is not for the faint hearted - Bolt is available :-) Whilst there were a few teething issues on arrival, Rita was super responsive and helpful in sorting any problems and our stay was great. It was a lovely stay in a stunning villa with amazing views and we would love to come back.

Absolutely stunning stay! The views were like something out of a postcard—so picturesque, we almost didn’t want to leave. The house was spotless, and every detail was thought of: towels, blankets, shampoo, even spare wood for the outdoor barbecue. There’s AC in every room (though we didn’t need it), plus a washer, dryer, and plenty of supplies like soap and dishwasher pods. The host was incredibly responsive and attentive at all hours. The garage was a bonus, especially in the rainy weather, giving us extra comfort. The area itself is very peaceful and quiet, yet only a short 7-8 minute drive to cafes, restaurants, and shops. If I ever return to Madeira, this is where I’ll stay—no question.

We really enjoyed staying with Valter and Marlene. The place was very clean and we felt very comfortable. The hosts were always immediately available and very friendly. The roof terrace was the highlight of the apartment. The place was a bit remote and there was nothing special to see. But if you want peace and quiet, it's just the thing. 😊

I rate the stay as very successful - the cottage was clean and well-maintained. The communication with the host was seamless, and as a gift, we received delicious wine from the owner's vineyard and local delicacies.

Hello, José is a welcoming host, his home is very clean and comfortable. We arrived at night and were treated to sandwiches with cake, some eggs, fruits and vegetables, and cold milk. It was nice to stay in this accommodation. 😊

A nice unique place that incorporates the cliff side. Clean and well equipped. Parking is on the road below, about 35 steps up to the house. You can see the highway from the deck. There is some road noise but not bothersome. The path to the beach was closed.

The place was great. The view from the beautiful terrace! Nuno is an extremely kind host. He responds quickly and gave us plenty of recommendations. The departure and arrival at the accommodation was made very simple and pleasant thanks to him. In addition, Ponta do sol is a very convenient place: a supermarket with gas station just down the village, great restaurants and the beach being a beautiful place to see the sunset. I can only recommend this place to stay in Madeira. It's been a real favorite!

Such a gem for such an affordable Price! Right down in the heart of island you’re a 2-10 min walk from everything! I loved it and you will too!

The accommodation was beautifully located in a very quiet location with a breathtaking view. Everything was clean and furnished with love so that you can only feel comfortable from the first moment. It had everything you need, we also loved the many kitchen utensils and the grill, which we used every day. The terrace with whirlpool, lounge, loungers and table were the highlight. We spent a lot of time in the accommodation because we felt so comfortable. Calheta beach is 5 minutes by car and highly recommended. We also found the private parking lot great. Bruno and Maria are very accommodating and also asked how we are and if we need anything. The location was perfect for us, very quiet, lots of privacy and yet we can get everywhere by car. Just back from a great stay! Photos of the accommodation didnt do it justice - the view from the balcony was absolutely beautiful. All the little things had been thought of (beach towels, coffee maker with filters etc) and the welcome pack of maderia wine, fruit and biscuits was really thoughtful. Our host was excellent at communicating and great at giving suggestions. We’ll be back!

Being in Valley of the Nuns was spectacular and the views from our cozy apartment were epic. It's a beautiful drive to get there and the little town is charming and even has its own pool though we didn't use it. The apartment was large and airy and Manuel was very helpful and friendly. We visited their little coffee shop below in the morning and it was all just perfect. If you have a car you can get anywhere pretty easily if you don't mind beautiful, curvy roads. We didn't want to leave!

Even though we traveled all over the island, caught some surf and hiked to the highest peak, something about your place in Sao Vicente really felt like home. Just to add the house itself and property is beautiful, up to date and had everything we could ever need. Location is a short walk to hikes, natural ocean pool, restaurants and the awesome surf school that we also highly recommend. It's a short drive to Seixal Black Sand Beach passing a notable waterfall and to the bet set of volcanic natural pools. One of the best Airbnbs we've ever stayed in and hope to again soon!

Very nice and clean appartement that has everything that you need. Sofie is alsof very nice and responds very quickly to messages. She gave some good tips on activities and restaurants in the area.

The stay at Juan’s House let us to relax in great atmosphere. The apartment is well equiped even including cofee machine. There is a view at ocean from taracce. It is very clean and very well prepared for guests.

Leonardo let us check in early. Beautiful clean environment right next to the water. He provided a clear and quick video to watch for instructions. Parking is a little complicated but your car is safe in a garage which is nice. Definitely recommend.

A lovely apartment: convenient, well-situated and pleasant views. Good location if you have a hire car; Funchal isn’t far at all, and there are many local shops and restaurants. Host-wise, unless you speak a little Portuguese, it can be slightly difficult; Jose is happy to call and speak for his mother. Very friendly and welcoming!!!

The apartment was perfect for our family, a great base to explore the island. Well equipped for a family though we only used for breakfast, eating out in the many local restaurants . The bakery downstairs is fabulous , serving breakfast, lunch and snacks..

This condo was beautiful, clean, and had an amazing view. Plenty of seating, close to a grocery store and many restaurants. The infinity pool which looked over the ocean was lovely. We would definitely recommend.

We enjoyed the individuality of the apartment and the outdoor space . It is up a hill but all good exercise ! The bus stop for the ride to Monte Palace Gardens is close by and makes a lovely day out . Carlos is welcoming and the apartment is lovely and clean .

I consider my stay in Jennifer's apartment to be one of the best I have ever had. Our group felt very comfortable in the apartment, we had a lot of space and everyone could spend time freely. The view from the balcony was great, the view of the ocean and the surrounding banana plantations pleased our eyes. We prepared meals ourselves in the kitchen, which was fully equipped and there was a lot of dishes and cutlery. In the room with a grill and billiards, we had a great time in the evenings, everyone found something for themselves ;) I highly recommend staying with Jennifer, the best option you can find on the island.
