Family-friendly holiday rentals in Santa Rosa

This property is amazing in every way. There’s a view from the ocean from almost every room, beautiful tile work and gorgeous, well appointed bathrooms. A sauna and extra hot hot tub. The kitchen had everything we could possibly need. The house itself is beautiful with private spaces, but also a large living room where everyone can gather around a beautiful tiled potbelly fireplace. It’s a short walk to the beach through a charming neighborhood. The host Rebekah was very communicative and generous, allowed us flexible, check-in and check out. I will 100% be staying here again.

Virginia and Rita’s place was absolutely beautiful. It was the perfect sanctuary for our stay in Napa with our family. Our baby and dog loved the backyard!

We loved the property and its proximity to the water and two large beaches. The house itself is thoughtfully decorated and has the furnishings and supplies just like it would if someone actually lived there rather than the typical Airbnb “shell” that only has the bare necessities (or less). We did have an unfortunate complication that occurred when we arrived. Things happen, but what matters more than anything is how a host handles an unexpected event. Jay was kind, understanding, and empathetic and did everything needed to make things right. We will absolutely be back.

Ryan and James were available and responsive. The cottage was well appointed and immaculate. It was obvious that quite a bit of thought went into the amenities and decor. The kitchen had everything we needed and more. The views! Looking over the Russian River where it empties into the Pacific Ocean was awesome! We will be back.

Patricia's beautiful beach house exceeded our expectations and more! The panoramic ocean views and wrap around deck made us feel like we were floating on the ocean. The home was really well equipped with everything we needed. We really enjoyed the hot tub and playing some games that were available for us to use. We could easily walk to Dillon Beach from the house to enjoy the sunshine. The home was very clean and cozy and Patricia was very kind and responsive. Highly recommend for a family beach vacation.

I loved this place. It was beautifully decorated and had amazing views. The pool was an added benefit on hot days! It’s somewhat small for a group because it only has one bedroom but still worth the experience.

We had a wonderful stay at Diego's and Rachel's beautiful home. The house had everything we needed. The kitchen was extremely well-equipped with clean stainless steel pots and pans and other essentials. All the appliances were clean and spotless. We were able to comfortably cook our own meals during our stay. There is a Whole Foods store in Santa Rosa and a Speer's Market in Forestville for some quick groceries. We appreciated the clean and comfortable bed. The house has a washer and a dryer too. The deck was certainly the highlight of this home. It's surrounded by the California Laurel and many other species attracting bees, butterflies and birds. It's a haven for bird enthusiasts and naturalists alike and makes for a very peaceful and therapeutic space. The hosts, Rachel and Diego are extremely kind, thoughtful and responsive. They checked in with us a couple of times to ensure we were having a comfortable stay. Overall, a gem of a place with super lovely hosts. Highly recommend!

We had an excellent time in the Sonoma area and the stay at Kate’s was wonderful. The space was actually larger and more spacious than I expected and was very nicely appointed. Perfect for a couple! The cottage is in a very quiet neighborhood and the grounds the cottage is on are beautiful. We spent nearly everyday out and about in Sonoma and Napa and the cottage is in great location to experience both areas. Easy driving and about 10 minutes to downtown Sonoma. It was nice to open the french doors in the morning with a cup of coffee to hear the sounds of the morning birds. We truly enjoyed the quiet of this location after long days of wine tasting and exploring busier areas. We would certainly stay again and recommend this location to other travelers. We miss Sonoma already!

We stayed at Erin's wine country cottage for a few days as our "home base" while in town for the Food & Wine Event. Their studio unit cottage was cozy, and welcoming. We ate out and didn't use kitchenette beyond making coffee, but I noticed that it looked well stocked! The bed was comfy, which made for good sleep at night. The cottage location is great as it's close to the freeway yet still in a quiet, rural setting next to a vineyard, and just about a mile or so from downtown (we walked to town every day). Erin (& Tom) are both exceptional hosts. They're friendly, helpful, and have great recommendations for restaurants & wineries. Can't forget Hurley the lab... he's super friendly too!

What a lovely place! Super cozy and beautifully decorated. The skylights bring in a lot of natural light and the patio is so sweet. I was greeted by two little birds singing their songs each day. Highly recommend! :)

The property is beautiful. My two kids (2 and 4) loved wandering the grounds, saying hi to the goats, chickens, and dogs. The guesthouse is very well kept and kitchen had everything we needed. My husband and I agreed it's one of the nicer Airbnbs we have stayed at. We will definitely be back!

We have stayed at Nathan’s cottage several times and each time is absolutely incredible! The cottage is so comfortable and beautifully decorated, the surroundings are stunning, and Nathan is so wonderful to communicate with. You just feel surrounded by the nature and beauty of the area. We spent so much time being outside on the lovely deck just soaking up the ambience of the outdoors. It’s such a treat to visit time after time.

Our stay was lovely! The beds and linens were comfortable and the rooms were quiet. The entire home was well stocked and it felt like a second personal home in terms of the quality of items - sharp knives, well stocked pantry for cooking basics, foil, etc. We brought two dogs and it was a paradise for them. The outdoor area is truly magical. The fire pit is great, the downstairs dog shower is handy, and the landscaping is sublime.

Casa Relaxo is the perfect mountain getaway in the midst of wine country. We spent our days visiting vineyards and tasting wine and our nights barbecuing and enjoying the wines we had purchased during the day under the stars. The unit is a secluded, peaceful cabin that I hope I’ll have the good fortune to return to one day.

We had a wonderful stay at Ted’s place. The home and grounds are stunning, and in a close location to a beach and short drive to town. Ted was very helpful and the trip went smoothly. Highly recommend!

Nice unit. We did have some plumbing issues with the toilet but the front desk was able to assist. The AC unit also kept reseting itself to 75°. The air circulation is weird so it caused the unit to be extremely hot at night. Otherwise, the property was nice. Will definitely reserve again.

If you’re looking for a nice & relaxing place to get away from your everyday life this is the place you want to be!

If you're looking for a quiet place to unwind and relax, we HIGHLY recommend Barrel Lounge. Whether you want to chill in the hot tub, lay in the pool, or lounge on the deck while grillin' out, this place has it all. Beyond the amenities, the hosts, Kathy and Jim are incredible. They were very accommodating, providing everything we could have needed. They are two of the most kind-hearted people. Every interaction with them was a delight. Top notch experience: 1000/100 as our son would say. Many thanks to Kathy and Jim for making our honeymoon one that we'll never forget.

Eliza's place was wonderful for us (two parents and a 4 month old baby) for a weekend - we had everything we needed and it was incredibly easy to check in and out. Eliza and her family were there and great to spend time with, but we also felt we had space to ourselves to rest and relax. We will hopefully be back!

I almost don't want to tell you how good this place is, so we can rent it again sometime. :-) But it's that good. We visited over spring break with our daughters, eight and 11, and had one of the most amazing stays we've ever had at an Airbnb. The home, the land, the pool, and the local area are all 100% amazing. And the sunsets. You know how you sometimes stay at Airbnb's where you feel like the hosts did the bare minimum to qualify to list it? This is *not* that place. There is everything you need and more. I’ve been eyeing Cena and Roger’s place for well over a year and had tried to book another time when it wasn’t available. This year I finally was able to stay and I honestly didn’t want to leave. What a special, unbelievably delightful stay it was. I’m a huge nature nerd and the amount of flowers and greenery made it feel like Hawaii. Tropical paradise. Complete with birds and lizards flirting about. This trip I was in town mostly for Bottlerock but I ended up just lounging around most of my mornings, reading and slowly getting ready for the day. It was hard to leave to go out every day because the property is that peaceful and beautiful. I am so thankful I got to enjoy this stunning space and cannot wait to hopefully stay there again. Roger and Cena are lovely, sweet people. They’ve made this their own little slice of heaven, which they so graciously share with others. Fabulous experience. Thank you!
