Tiny house holiday rentals in San Mateo County

I've stayed in at least a half dozen other airbnb places in the Palo Alto/Menlo Park area over the last years, and this location was by far the nicest. It's very quiet and nicely appointed; easy parking and easy access; close to downtown Palo Alto; and above all, Bob was a wonderful host. Very easy to communicate and responses were almost instantaneous. I hope to have the chance to stay again the next time I'm in the area. Highly recommended.

very clean and convenient, kitchen was stocked well with with coffee ,teas cooking oil etc.. and had both microwave and stove facilities . Internet was very good . Host highly accessible. Walkable access to coastline was the highlight

I spend 1 month at Rosa's and Andy's beautiful home. I had a small room with a shared bathroom which I used with one other guest. Rosa and Andy were both very friendly and helped me whenever I had a question. I especially liked that I could use a screen for connecting my laptop, the laundry machine and dryer, and one of bikes to get to the university. There is also a small shared area with a water boiler, microwave and toaster, and some snacks for everyone to eat. If I get the chance to get to Palo Alto again, I would book the same Airbnb! Such a serene location! Nestled amongst the trees, this Airbnb will have you feeling like you’re a world away without being far from amenities at all. My husband and I enjoy staying here tremendously. The place was spotless and has everything you could need for a comfortable stay. Lea was one of the friendliest hosts I’ve ever come across and made us feel warm and welcomed. Can’t wait to visit again!

I love Tom's place! This was my second time staying. It is a beautiful oasis. Super quiet, peaceful, comfortable space, perfect for writing, working, and rest away from the city, yet still convenient to all the amenities of Los Altos. Tom is a lovely host and goes out of his way to be accommodating. This is one of only a few affordable and high quality Airbnbs in the area. Highly recommend!

Felt like it was just lke my home accept they have a hot tub that I used almost every night during my stay also had a beautiful garden. Is very quiet and relaxing.

Julie and I had a wonderful time at Margaret and Phils. It was near a neighborhood I grew up. The accommodations were great, private cottage and beautiful gardens. They have a dog, Sadie, who was a delight. We hope to go back in the future.

Such a cute and cozy little stay! Although it was in a residential area, parking was never a problem! It is a tiny home, but had everything we needed: a bed, mini fridge, a microwave, a toaster oven, and a small electric stove. It was a cold weekend, but to our surprise, the upstairs bedroom did not feel cold at all - unless it was their cozy blankets that helped keep us warm, but even then we had the small window open to let in the cool breeze. Janette was easy to talk too and message if I had a question. Would definitely recommend if ever you’re up in Pacifica area! :)

I had a great stay! Everyone is friendly, helpful, and relaxed. Though the place is small it makes extremely good use of the room available. Being situated in the backyard, there is a good feeling of privacy and one can also be sitting outside for breakfast or to work. I can only recommend the place.

Jon and Amanda were amazing host and super friendly. They responded really quick and were very helpful from the time we arrived until we left. Loved the scenery from the windows, the view from the patio, the lights at night look amazing, the fire place felt really cozy. Would definitely want to get that experience again at the Fuselage!

This place was amazing, recently moving from another stay we had to rent for 2 weeks while we waited for our things. This place had everything we could have needed. If you have dogs Ela’s place will be perfect for you, the backyard is fenced and my dogs loved it. The location is also great as there are a lot of stores, supermarkets and restaurants nearby.

Nice and quiet, much preferred to stay at hotel in nearby area! Able to get work done, had all I needed for prepping for business clothes for meetings, able to take nice local walks, and all amenities were as needed. Shower pressure was awesome for tired mornings, as was the invaluable nespresso coffee maker! Solo, older female, felt very safe in area and will def use again if available.

I had a great three-month stay at this peaceful accommodation in Eric and Rebecca's garden while visiting Stanford Research Park. The hosts were incredibly kind, regularly checking in and offering helpful local suggestions. The space was quiet and tranquil and the sunny outdoor area made for perfect breakfast spots among the birds and fragrant flowers. Eric and Rebecca shared delicious oranges from their tree. The location is excellent – 15 minutes to San Antonio train station, with nearby bus stops, Safeway, etc. The free Palo Alto Link service to the research park is just five minutes away, making car-free exploration easy. Secure bicycle storage is available. The accommodation felt modern, clean, and well-maintained with great natural light, comfortable sleeping, and a functional workspace. The bathroom and shower were modern, and the kitchen included fridge, dishwasher, washing machine, and storage (no cooktop or oven). Perfect for long-term research visits – highly recommended!

Clean, comfortable, and private space. You can hear the Caltrain, but it doesn’t run too late into the night. Janice was a very responsive host!

Mara is a great host, charming and thorough.........a great combination for us! Her detailed instructions and "hands-off" thereafter approach was perfect for us. The unit was just the right size for us and had everything we needed for our week plus stay. We hope to visit and stay again in the future as the location is perfect for us.

Connie’s place was a peaceful respite for the end of a trip before heading back home to NYC. Such beautiful surroundings with a little redwood trail and gorgeous Mountain View’s. I thoroughly enjoyed the outdoor shower and communal fire pit!

I had a lovely, long stay with my pet at Dongxue's place. The tiny house is amazing—very modern, quiet, private, peaceful, and safe. There is also an office attached to the tiny house, which adds great value to the space. My cat loved hanging out in both the tiny house and the office. The office has a window that opens into the tiny house. Dongxue is very kind and sociable, she responds fast to the messages. She introduced me to local shops and Costco, and she occasionally brought me fruit from her own garden.

Ela was so friendly and we felt at home right away. The guest house is perfect for visiting Palo Alto, San Francisco and the bay area. we really enjoyed our stay and will keep this spot in mind for our next visit!
