Family-friendly holiday rentals in San Clemente

The location was great, close to many restaurants and shops, great ocean breeze, great ocean view from the room, beautiful grounds, and 5 minutes from my sons house on Camp Pendleton!

This place was HEAVEN!! We fell in love with the place. The place was spotless and looked exactly like the photos. A 15 min walk to restaurants and shops. We enjoyed the view from the couch every morning and the view from the lifeguard chairs in the evening. The Airbnb hosts were helpful and responsive. This place felt like home and can not wait to book again! Thank you!

Our recent stay at Michelle’s Airbnb in Leucadia, California, was nothing short of exceptional! From the moment we arrived, it was clear that Michelle has thought of every detail to make her guests feel at home. The property is absolutely beautiful, spotlessly clean, and impeccably maintained, creating an inviting and comfortable atmosphere that rivaled the coziness of our own home. The kitchen was a standout feature, fully stocked with everything needed to whip up almost any meal. From cookware to an impressive array of spices, we had all the tools to enjoy home-cooked dinners, which made our stay even more special. It’s rare to find such a well-equipped kitchen in a vacation rental! The location is perfect for soaking in the local culture. Right on the beach, we loved taking daily walks to explore the vibrant Leucadia community. The highlight, though, was watching the sunset every evening from the living room or deck—pure magic! Very clean, cute decor, comfortable and spacious (for our family of 5people), has a lot of ample amenities even for kids! Clubhouse, pool & jacuzzi access. Securities at the gate were friendly and the Neighbors mostly seem don't mind having Air BnB guests in a gated community. Walking to Waldorf hotel took about 10m, beach about 20m. But the restaurants and stores were in short driving distance. We really enjoyed this spot. Thank you!

Robert's place in San Clemente was great! Despite the heavily packed houses close together. It is still a very quiet neighborhood. Very close to the beach, unfortunately the walkway down to the beach was closed off due to potential landslide, so we had to walk a few streets up and down to get to the beach or drive. The house is clean, lots of space to eat outside.

View was spectacular! Loved the decor style! It’s an older unit but still well maintained. Loved the amenities and proximity to the beach and restaurants in Oceanside. Would definitely stay here again!

Brenda's place was cozy and felt like home. Location was perfect and great views. We enjoyed our stay and would definitely return for another stay.

The beach bungalow was as described. The location was ideal, just two blocks from the beach. The hot tub was a standout feature for our visit. It was clean and we had no issues with temperature. The home is a bit no-frills but that was as expected, still a great value. Host was responsive and shoutout to Pete, manager, who was kind and helpful throughout. Our family would stay again. P.S. the train did not really bother our family, some who are light sleepers, during the stay. It will not wake you up in the middle of the night.

Loved this treehouse! So much fun for my friend and I. Two sixty-something ladies in town for some fun and tired of boring hotels. The detail and craftmanship Dan has put into this treehouse is amazing. It is unbelievably solid as well. The bathroom and shower are adorable and look like an outhouse. Wish we could have had more time to spend on the beautiful upstairs balcony but our schedule was too packed. The AC worked well for the hot days we were there and wireless was also good. If stairs and ladders are hard for you, this may not be a place for you to stay. But if you want adventure, something totally unique and in a safe area near lots of things, this is for you. It would be amazing if you have kids. My friend and I didn't want to sleep in the same bed so one of us slept on the couch. There is also a spare matress you can use but the couch was fine for us, maybe not for a larger person. I highly recommend, and when we come back to OC we'll definitely stay here if we can.

This is a great 2 bedroom in a safe and quiet neighborhood. It was well equipped and comfortable. Easy access to the beach and restaurants and a quick drive to Balboa Island. The car ferry was a fun, old fashioned activity! Would love to come back!

I would recommend Kamilo & Maria’s airbnb to anyone looking for a place to stay in SD! The hosts are amazing, responsive, and friendly! Super cozy place too!

Five stars, 100%, A+! If you have the chance to stay here at Tonya’s beach cottage, don’t miss it! Perfectly appointed, clean & spare but warm and welcoming design and furnishings. Darling neighborhood with lovely walkable streets and a flower-lined pedestrian bridge leading to the beach a short 10 min walk away. And Tonya’s hospitality is truly a gift that she enjoys sharing with others!!! Gorgeous charcuterie board and a bottle of chilled wine were waiting for us upon arrival. And, by some magical combo of a lovely mattress, crisp cool sheets and ocean air, I experienced truly great sleep! Thank you so much Tonya!

The grounds were immaculate. Very roomy guest home. Well stocked with entertainment and kitchen/bath essentials. Would stay again.

Vivian and John‘s cottage was a perfect place for a three day stay. Very peaceful and calm with beautiful surroundings and close to everything I needed to get to. I would love to come back at some point.

This was our second year staying here. The home is large,spacious and very comfortable! We brought our 4 young grandchildren and the lovely outside patio area was just perfect for them to eat, play, and run around. The kitchen and laundry was stocked with laundry and dish soap, paper towels and basic condiments. We were a large group of 6 adults and 4 small children and we loved all the family time and comfort this home offered. When we return to Huntington Beach we will most definitely stay here!

Everything was wonderful! My daughter and I loved it. Eva and Zach truly covered every little detail! Staying here has renewed my love for Airbnb's. I have noticed that some rentals have become less personal and more of a management style. Eva and Zach were responsive and detailed to my messages. Because of all the trees and plants we felt as if we were on a tropical vacation. The pool was nice, we had it to ourselves. The inside of the home felt as if it was newly remodeled, very clean. I agree that the stairs to go up to the bedroom area are a bit steep. However, I'm clumsy and I did not have an issue. The roof top deck was peaceful. The location was perfect not far from attractions, but also away from the traffic and noise. We are hoping to make this home our annual mother, daughter spot. If I have to use one word to sum up our stay it would be Zen! Oh! And take their recommendation and eat at Uncle Tony's! Seriously the best Italian food and old school customer service.

Great place! Modern simple, deep tub, steam shower, comfy beds and pillows, peaceful environment. Wall-to-wall window doors look out into palm trees, chirping birds, lots of natural light. Note-there’s 2 entrances to underground parking of this. Parking entrance is LEFT side of building down the hill. Great to have dedicated indoor parking! Lovely stay

First off I want to say the pictures don’t do the back yard any justice. It’s so beautiful and the perfect get away trip without having to break the bank. Definitely worth every penny We loved it and we will be returning again! P.s. Just make sure you bring some bug spray there is a bunch of mosquitos in the back yard, we didn’t have any so don’t be us lol. 🙌

Nicolas was a great host and has a gorgeous property where my family and I felt right at home! Not once did we feel uncomfortable, everything matched the description and then some! The one question I had he responded within minutes and was very clear and consider. Would definitely book again!

We had such an amazing time. So many activities to do at Kathleen’s. Our kids love the pond, swimming pool, fishing, pickleball, and appreciate all the outdoors amenities. Definitely a gem to visit for families. The home is a little dated. But all the outdoor activities make up for it.

The guest house on Kris’s plot was as advertised and just what we needed for our stay in North County SD. Thanks for the wonderful time! My kids had a particularly good time.
