Holiday rentals with a kayak in Saco

Stayed at Bethany's place for a long weekend at the end of the season. The location is unbeatable, the house is situated on its own little peninsula in a stunning cove; it feels very private and has amazing views of the water. There's tons of outdoor space and seating, along with several kayaks. The house itself is clean, quiet, and peaceful, although it's definitely small--probably best for one or two people, or a couple with a small child. Access is down an unpaved road but Bethany's very clear instructions made it easy to find, and she was responsive to any questions we had. Harpswell abounds with areas to hike and explore, lots of good places to eat (though you will definitely need a car) and is less than an hour from Portland and only half an hour from Freeport.

What a wonderful house! It would be a perfect family vacation spot to spend quality time together, fishing, kayaking, making s'mores, playing board games, or relaxing with some reading or television.

An absolute gem! Incredible house in a gorgeous location… an ideal retreat!! Enjoyed a 5 day family reunion here and it was perfect…. Could spend time catching up, laughing with each other in common areas or while at other times, each could enjoy time in their own space. So many areas to use together or separately and so much to do on the property, or just a short drive to sights, amenities and shopping. Could easily have stayed longer and this would be fantastic for a couples getaway or a family vacation! Jason and Yvonne were so helpful and easy to communicate with, and we felt right at home from the time we made the booking. Truly a 5 star experience!! Thank you!

What a beautiful place. Chris and Erica have done a great job. Everything we needed and more. There was a problem with the hot tub and they where able to fix the problem and had it hot and ready for us when we where ready to use it. Amazing weekend catching up with the ladies. We will definitely come again.

Delightful Fall getaway. Open house design with gorgeous view of lake. Nice big yard with seating and fire-pit. VERY comfortable beds, and bathroom with 2 sinks! Kitchen had everything we needed - plus fruit and candy! Even the laundry room was beautiful! James was most thoughtful and responsive as our host. Recommend highly!

A group of 6 gals stayed here for a Bachelorette weekend and it had everything we could have needed for a cozy retreat! The pictures are exactly what the space looks like. The backyard is big and private. We spent our mornings on the porch and evenings in the sunroom. The kitchen was well stocked and spacious. An added bonus was access to bikes and other beach equipment! I would absolutely recommend this place to anyone looking to visit the Ferry Beach/Camp Ellis area but are looking for more space and/or privacy than beachside supplies.

We loved this home! It was apparent that the house had been updated indoors with a fresh look, refreshed paint, new floors, new appliances . The outdoor canoes, paddle boats, paddle boards were enjoyed by all. If I could rate this location with a 10, I would. Kudos to this location and to Patricia as a host for an immensely enjoyable experience. This is a definite return location!

Anna and Ryan’s Scandi House is a perfectly situated and beautifully, cleanly designed and furnished house (and guesthouse) that was a soothing and restorative getaway from my home in hectic New York City and a refreshing alternative to Portland where my son lives and which I have visited repeatedly over the last 12 years or so. Surrounded by water and the sky, so peaceful, and close to hiking trails and very good restaurants and grocery stores (I love to cook), I look forward to returning to Scandi House in the years to come.

This place was really nice! Its on a beautiful lake with a lot to do! Jessica had plenty of kayaks, canoes, and life vests. The surrounding is beautiful and peaceful. The location is great with plenty of restaurants and shopping nearby. It's also very close to many great hiking areas Mt Washington.

We stayed at the cottage for a little celebratory getaway. Although the weather only partially complied, we were amazed by the beautiful views that surrounded the cottage. We spent some time exploring the area and there are some spectacular little gems hidden throughout and around Windham. Maryellen and Bryan were so sweet and made sure to make this stay feel a little closer to home. Definitely a “don’t miss” property!

They were accommodating, flexible, and very gracious. They had an entire binder of information with details about where to find fans, towels, flashlights, how to work the shower, heat, grill, and about anything else you can think of. It also had emergency services, restaurants, places to have a good time, and good details about checkout expectations. Overall we were extremely happy with the property and our stay, and were honored by the personalization they did for us specifically as it was our Honeymoon and they wrote us a custom note by hand for when we arrived. Highly Recommended - Will Rent Again!

Lori was a wonderful host for our trip up to Maine. My girlfriend and I enjoyed doing yoga in the entrance room when it rained and a nice sunrise kayak trip out on the lake across the street. My in-laws stayed with us too and we all had great laughs together and enjoyed good food all weekend long.

The cottage was lovely with a fantastic view of the lake. The space was well-appointed and cozy. Lots of greats hikes. Conway has a lot of charm. Highly recommended!

Marina’s little cottage is a gem which we highly recommend. It is situated high above the peaceful and quaint lake providing interesting views. The sunrise while sitting on the dock was a favorite. A great place to get some reading done without everyday distractions. Everything was clean, neat and organized! The new kitchen was a treat! For a small place it is very spacious inside, beds and sitting areas comfy and everything one needs for a pleasant stay. Marina gets an A+ for communication. We may be back next year and will recommend it to friends and family. Please don’t hesitate to book this place for a relaxing getaway.

Lovely cottage and hosts! We had a great time hiking and being outside, and Joe and Shirley gave great local recommendations.

Helen was actually wonderful. She returned calls and everything. It was a great place to stay beautiful and hope to stay there again someday.

We had the absolute best time at MJ’s place, highly recommend !! The house is spatious yet very cozy and quiet, with a nice back porch to sit and enjoy the surrounding woods! Home is also very close to town and to Poryland/coastline, and the cleanest lake to swim in that we’ve ever been to! MJ was very helpful and quick to respond. Stay here! We hope to return sometime soon!!

We had such an incredible stay! The first day was pretty rainy, but the house was so relaxing and comfortable that it didn’t matter - we enjoyed staying in and looking at the gorgeous view of the lake while doing jigsaw puzzles near the fire. When things did clear up, we had a great time playing in the yard snd kayaking. I was surprised at how quiet it was, especially during Memorial Day weekend. The beds were super comfy, kitchen was great, shower and tub were wonderful. Lisa left great instructions and checked in with us to make sure we had everything we needed. And she was very kind in allowing us a late checkout, which was very helpful with three young kids. I can’t wait to visit again!

Beautiful place. Lovely decorated. I would say that it is probably a little expensive for staying there in the winter/ fall time. Only one of us could sit on the couch at a time due to its location by the tv. The shower is really small and there is no room for toiletries in the bathroom at all. There is a rack but I had to keep all my bathroom stuff in bags the entire time because it is just lacking in space. I would think The price is worth it if you’re staying there in the summer and get to use the lake.

Wonderful Stay in a Great Location! Zak and Emily’s house was exactly as described. It has a fully equipped kitchen, a grill, and a fire pit outside, making it perfect for relaxing evenings. The house is stocked with towels and other essentials, so we had everything we needed. There’s also a ping pong table, which was a lot of fun, and a great collection of movies for entertainment. Check-in was super easy, and the house is conveniently located across from Crystal Lake, offering a peaceful and scenic setting. Communication with Zak and Emily was excellent—they responded quickly and were very accommodating. Overall, it was a fantastic experience, and I would highly recommend staying here for a peaceful getaway. Thanks again, Zak and Emily!

Alexa’s place was comfortable, well furnished, and impeccably clean, and she was extremely easy to get ahold of and communicate with! We had a fantastic two days away from home at this place.

If I could give 10 stars, I would. First time a place was even better than the photos. Private. Clean. So quiet. Comfortable. Everything we wanted plus ! Felt like we were millions of miles away and a short drive to all attractions. The kayaks, canoe, fire pit and hot tub were used and enjoyed. 3 nights - could’ve stayed way longer ! Don’t hesitate if you’re looking to relax, unwind and enjoy nature. Hands down our new favorite spot and can’t wait to go back ! John and Cassie were very responsive and excellent hosts !
