A cozy cottage behind a lovely Victorian house. It has a 3/4 bath (shower). The cottage has a brick patio and a large trellis covered with roses and grape vines set in an English Garden. Also, see our equally nice "Victorian in the Heart of Ballard" rental: https://www.airbnb.com/rooms/20928
A cozy cottage behind a lovely Victorian house with separate access and a 3/4 (meaning shower but no bathtub) bathroom. The cottage has a brick patio and a large trellis on the south side covered with roses, grape vines, and wisteria and is surrounded by an English Garden. The pictures posted should give you the right idea. (Alternative accommodation: We also have a really lovely rental space in the main house. See: https://www.airbnb.com/rooms/20928 ) The cottage: there is a microwave, a small fridge, and an electric kettle for making coffee or tea. It offers considerable privacy if that is desired. The bed is queen-sized. Extra high-speed WiFi is also provided along with cable TV, including all of the premium channels. It is also possible to close some giant wood-paneled pocket doors if you want to divide the studio into a bedroom and sitting room, if case someone wants to sleep and someone else does not. The cottage is used as a studio by Liz (who is the English gardener) when it is not being used as a guest house. So there is a lot of (really excellent) art, mostly studies in the human form, on the walls and shelves. (If you would like a cast of one of the statues, talk to Liz.) The Ballard Neighborhood is a great place to visit: *10 minute walk to downtown Ballard with fabulous bars and restaurants, great Sunday farmers market, nice three-screen cinema, and much more. *5 minute walk to the Ballard Locks, where ships enter and exit Puget Sound from Seattle waterways. *10 minute drive to downtown Seattle. Buses also run regularly downtown from close by - either to downtown Seattle or to the University District and elsewhere. Evenings are very quiet here and the air quality is unusually good for a city. We get a fresh sea breeze off of Puget Sound in the early evening. Guests find the cottage a calming and refreshing refuge from the bustle of the city.
Ballard is a fantastic destination neighborhood for restaurants and bars and music. We are an easy walk (5-10 minutes) from downtown Ballard. Great breakfast places even closer.
  • Quiet, cozy and inspiring place. Good access from the heart of Seattle in 30 minutes by bus. Without a kitchen, I recommend the place for a short stay.

  • A wonderful spot in Ballard, with no shortage of character.

  • We enjoyed our 3-night stay at Brad & Liz's place. It's a cute cabin, and it's fun sleeping in a space full of fabulous art. The location couldn't have been better for our event in Ballard (and for Ballard, in general). Check-in and check-out was super easy, and street parking was convenient/available.

    Nancy2020-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • This place is wonderful- great location, comfy bed, cool art all over, and Brad / Liz are amazing hosts! Thanks for the hospitality- I would definitely return!!

  • This place is a cozy artist studio behind the main house. Plenty of space for 1 or 2 people and very quiet and private. I was there for an event in Ballard so for me the location was perfect; just a few block walk.

  • Erik’s place and clean and stylish. A little studio, but feels bigger with tall ceilings, lots of windows and Erik’s thoughtful use of the space. Great location - safe, quiet, close to everything. Only issue we experienced was spotty WiFi — Erik was very responsive and helped us troubleshoot, but the WiFi was still a little unreliable with several “dead zones” in the space. Doesn’t look like this had been a major issue in the past, so might just be a glitch ran into. Not a dealbreaker - Just did some work in a local cafe instead off the Airbnb. There is a walled off garden space surrounding the Airbnb and it is beautiful, quiet and calm. Loved it! Erik was very friendly and gave us some great local tips since we are moving to the area soon. Very pleasant experience, good value for the money paid. ☺️

    Danielle2020-02-25T00:00:00Z
  • Erik’s place was great! Very clean and welcoming. Close walking distance to cool restaurants and sights in the city. Erik was very responsive and helpful!

  • This cottage was by far greater than what I had expected! My husband and I first time to Seattle, I was obsessed with our little cottage! From the cute decorations , the little fireplace and a huge book collection! It was so quaint and cozy! The neighborhood was amazing, we took a walk every morning! Such a Perfect spot, we walked everywhere for a bit to eat of a fresh cup of coffee! Highly recommend this cottage!! Enjoyed our stay so much! Erik was a great host, so friendly and personable! He also had great recommendations for everything!

    Tarrah2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • Having a off-road parking spot is a big deal in crowded Seattle. This cottage is a perfect spot for one or two people. The neighborhood is very quiet but you can hear airplanes flying over. I have sensitive hearing that keeps me awake so I always travel with wax air plugs this did the trick....we will stay here again

    Caroline2020-02-07T00:00:00Z
  • Erik’s place is in a wonderful neighborhood. His cottage is very thoughtfully decorated and had everything we needed for a comfortable and enjoyable stay.

  • Beautiful, cozy, perfect location for our stay.

  • The Urban cabin was perfect. Cozy, charming with use of hot tub and yoga studio. Quiet, walkable neighbourhood with plenty of on street parking. Regina’s suggestions for things to do locally were great!! Irwin’s bakery was an awesome gathering place just a short walk from the cabin. 45th St offered lots of dining choices. Our very favourite was the Urban Saloon. Good pub food and bartender Aaron was a wealth of tourist, brewery and sushi information. Thanks Regina. We would happily stay with you again.

    Vicki2020-02-26T00:00:00Z
  • It’s as advertised. Cute place to stay.

    Bennett2020-02-20T00:00:00Z
  • Nice little cozy place, very well kept. Hot tub was fun. The only thing we thought was missing was a tv. Everything was beautiful, and private. Very good communication.

    Reuben2020-02-18T00:00:00Z
  • This place is cute, quaint, and is located in a fantastic neighborhood of Seattle. Street parking was very easy and accessible as this neighborhood is not directly downtown. About a 10-15 drive downtown, but their neighborhood has tons of restaurants and local shops to explore. The space was comfortable, and the hot tub was very enjoyable! I would definitely be staying here again in the near future.

  • Bev & Grant were lovely and thoughtful hosts! Their adorable and cozy cottage was delightful to stay in. We had a great time! Lots great personal and local touches!

    Liz2020-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • I have stayed here multiple times for it's comfort and peaceful space. Bev & Grant have created a perfect space on a great block in Ballard.

    Derek2020-02-13T00:00:00Z
  • I absolutely adore this place! It was in the perfect location because it was close enough to all the places we wanted to go in Seattle but just far enough that noise and parking were never an issue. They left some great little personal touches to greet us. Will definitely be back again, thanks Bev & Grant!

    Stephanie2020-02-03T00:00:00Z

    Connie2020-01-20T00:00:00Z
  • During this rainy time of year, I am especially appreciative of the setting of the cottage which is both private and open. I just wanted to hang out there the whole time! Lovely place.

    Jeanne2020-01-12T00:00:00Z
  • This cottage is really perfect for a single individual or couple. It was the BEST Airbnb accommodation in which I've stayed on my own. It was really cozy, everything I needed was provided, and there was also enough space for several co-workers to join me inside for a working dinner one eve. If it had been a little less rainy during my stay, we would've moved our gathering out to the comfortable, spacious deck and courtyard in front of the cottage outside. I can't recommend this cottage enough!

  • Sometimes it's just perfect to have it be just the way you'd imagined. What a lovely creation this is! We had a quick one day vacay for a birthday getaway and we loved it! Tophats off to Tipsy! (Sorry we didn't have time to sign the guest book. We are locals so maybe next time!)

    Vanessa2020-03-04T00:00:00Z
  • This was our first experience in a tiny house and it was perfect. The attention to detail was impressive.

    Lynnette2020-02-29T00:00:00Z
  • The place is groovy and fun. The repurposing of salvaged lumber is attractive and solid. The light is perfect and the bathroom is surprisingly roomy. I recommend it as a nice place to stay if you're in West Seattle.

    Jennifer2020-02-26T00:00:00Z

Conveniently located near the Island's village & Seattle ferry, this 200sq ft architecturally-designed, eco-friendly backyard guesthouse is the perfect getaway. Ride into town on the bikes, enjoy the hot tub, garden patio and fire-pit. ***Ask us about adding a sailing excursion to your stay!
This is a 200 sq ft guesthouse located next to our main house in the backyard. It has its own bathroom and shower, and kitchenette - a coffee maker with complimentary coffee and tea selection. A mini-fridge, microwave, electric tea kettle complete the kitchenette. The studio is flooded with natural light and a full suite of blinds on lower windows provides complete privacy should you desire that. Like the unit, the hot water heater is small so short showers (6 mins) are recommended (unless you like them cold). If you like long showers this is probably not the place for you. If the water begins to lose heat, it only takes about 30min to recharge. We also have a pack-n-play available upon request for a baby. Just keep in mind that the space gets pretty tight when it is in there. The guesthouse does not have a TV but you'll find a delightful patio garden with a fire-pit, gas grill and hot tub to enjoy instead. The guesthouse is located in a quiet residential neighborhood near to our little town of Winslow and all its amenities, and close to the Bainbridge/Seattle ferry. While not in the country it has a delightful mix of deep green, moss, and natural sunlight. We think it's perfect. We might have a slight bias, but still. **Please scroll down this page (below the reviews) to read more details on our location and how to get around.
Our Island guesthouse is just under a mile (.9), about a 15 minute walk from the Seattle ferry, a 25 minute (1 mile) walk to the quaint village of Bainbridge Island (Winslow) and only a 5 minute walk, through the back of our neighborhood, to our up-town shopping area: Ace Hardware, McDonalds, Walgreens, Safeway, Family Restaurants & of course a Starbucks. In a car or on a bike, it's all moments away. Our residential neighborhood is full of kind, working families and it's quiet. The place has a unique blend of being close in, while feeling a bit further out.
  • Snug, quiet cottage close to town with a really comfortable bed. Quiet residential neighborhood near ferry. East to get to. Had a good night's sleep.

    Charlie2020-02-29T00:00:00Z
  • Our stay at this little getaway was so relaxing! The space was slightly smaller than we thought based on the pictures but was the perfect place to celebrate our 2nd anniversary! We never got to meet either of our hosts but they were so sweet and helpful in our messages back and forth! There were some minor cleaning oversights but once we mentioned something to them, they remedied that immediately! One of the chilly days we were there, my husband started a smoky little campfire and roasted some veggie dogs before we hopped into the small hot tub cocooned in bamboo to chat with each other and just look up at the beautiful, twinkling stars. The atmosphere radiated relaxation and the outdoor string lights added charm and whimsy to the backyard entertaining area. One thing to note: We realized very quickly that the water temperature in the shower could shift immediately from the Misty Mountains to Mount Doom in the Black Land of Mordor. Be careful if you’re sudsing up and singing out heart out like Anna Kendrick without a care in the world and accidentally bump the water handle. I may have burned my backside slightly before I realized what happened. Definitely take short showers to preserve the hot water of more than one person is hoping to get squeaky clean but we’re used to that at home so that wasn’t any sort of adjustment for us. Overall, this was a wonderful place to stay! Even in February, there were still some things to see and do and we had wonderful hosts!

    Ember2020-02-25T00:00:00Z
  • Great backyard hideaway. Check in was a breeze and communication was on point. We really enjoyed using the hot tub. We take short showers so the lack of hot water wasn't an issue for us. Would stay again.

Our Little House is easy walking distance from some of Seattle's best coffee, restaurants, markets and retail stores. The house, formerly a garage, was completely renovated in 2013. It sits behind our main house and includes shared access to a courtyard, outdoor seating and a BBQ grill.
When Benjamin was 9, he vacationed with his family in a loft style cabin. His love of lofts grew from there. Originally built as a guest house for family and friends and used as an occasional home office, we decided to open it up to travelers who want to visit Seattle and in particular our community of Ballard. The house is 363 square feet and contains a sleeping loft accessed by a ship style ladder. Guests access the house through a separate gate at the end of our driveway, which opens into the courtyard. The house is quiet and comfortable complete with a kitchen, small fridge, living area and bathroom. The queen sized bed is new as of September 2016.
Ballard is a popular Seattle neighborhood with a rich Scandinavian heritage and history as a "sleepy fishing village." Ballard isn't sleepy anymore. Our neighborhood is hopping with retail, nightlife and great restaurants. Independent shops including two record and CD stores, an independent bookstore and many non-chain restaurants and retail stores. We have easy access to the Metro bus just one block away from our place. A 15 - 20 minute ride by car or bus puts you downtown near the WA state ferries, Pike's market, the Space Needle and Seattle Center. Golden Gardens (one of our favs) is two miles away and has a beach including views of the Olympic mountains and the Puget Sound. Our Airbnb guidebook has recommendations for many of our top places. If you are looking for something not covered in the guidebook, let us know and we will do our best to point you in the right direction.
  • A beautiful and cozy tiny home. It was perfect for our couple getaway. The location was perfect for all the tourist attractions. Everything was clean and so thought out.

    Anita2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • Benjamin and Alyson’s home was the perfect weekend getaway spot. The tiny home was stylish and spacious and the neighborhood was fun and welcoming!

    Chelsea2020-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • Wonderful stay in a great location with an awesome host. You must try the local fresh bakery a couple blocks away - yum

    Kate2020-02-09T00:00:00Z
  • Ben and Alyson are wonderful hosts. Responsive and helpful, they thought of EVERYTHING, so many small details to make visitors feel at home in their space. The little house is GORGEOUS, stylish and immaculately clean. They did a great job covering everything a visitor may want to know in their well organized binder and when we did have a question, they answered right away. When the weather shifted, we found things we might need left for us outside the door. We couldn't have asked for a better experience and look forward to returning.

    Colleen2020-02-07T00:00:00Z
  • What a cool fun space. You climb up a steep stair case / ladder to a lofted bedroom. Fun for a young man like me or a young couple.

    Burke2020-01-31T00:00:00Z
  • Highly recommend! Ballard is unquote and charming area!

    Audra2020-01-27T00:00:00Z
  • I can’t recommend the little house enough! This place is just as lovely, clean, and cozy in real life as it looks in the photos. The bed is very comfortable and sleeps two easily. The sitting area gave us plenty of room to hang out with a friend for a late take-out dinner. The kitchen is small but has all you need. The bathroom is a little bit of an unusual arrangement (and probably best for couples/people who don’t need too much privacy), but it was a great set up and the shower water pressure was great. (Showers are short because it’s a small water heater, but that wasn’t a big deal.) The house itself is super quiet but still in a great location, with a 2 minute walk to good cafes and a 7 minute walk to the heart of Ballard. Most importantly, Ben was a fantastic host. He and his wife lent us an air mattress when we thought we might need one, and they were super easy to communicate with and very responsive and flexible. I’m definitely going to try to stay here again next time I’m in town. Highly recommend!

    Nina2020-01-20T00:00:00Z
  • What a super charming little place to stay! I was nervous about the size of the space but it was just perfect and there were thoughtful little touches throughout. They left tasty granola, milk, coffee, half and half, plenty of bath products should you forget anything, etc. Ben reached out to check in and see if I needed anything mid way through and even though it’s in their backyard; it feels very private. Less than a mile from lots of coffee shops, restaurants, etc. will definitely be returning to this place when I come back for work!

The place is close to the heart of the Greenwood neighborhood with a number of breweries and bars, grocery stores, and cafes all within walking distance. Located near 8th Ave NW, it's a straight shot to into Fremont and Ballard, 10 minutes by car and 20 minutes by bicycle. Bus line 28 goes directly downtown and stops less than a block away; it takes about 30 minutes to get downtown by bus.
The basement mother-in-law studio is clean with wood floors. There is a small, simply outfitted kitchen with a fridge, freezer, stove, oven, and toaster. There is no dishwasher so dishes must be washed by hand. The large closet easily accommodates hung clothing and a dresser to unpack into. The house, above on the first floor, is lived in by the host. The studio access is through the backdoor into a shared laundry room and storage space in the basement. The entry way into the studio itself is a separate door and key, and check-in is available 24 hours. This house is in the Greenwood neighborhood, located with access to other sights in Seattle: Pike Place Market: 6.7 miles Space Needle: 6.4 miles Capitol Hill: 6.7 miles Golden Gardens: 1.8 miles Greenlake Park: 2 miles Carkeek Park: 2 miles Fremont: 3.2 miles University of Washington: 4.3 miles Washington State Convention Center: 7.2 miles Ballard: 2.5 miles You'll have access to the laundry machine and dryer 24/7. Wifi is accessible everywhere, including the back yard. There is a briquette charcoal BBQ available for use in the summer. Feel free to make use of the backyard and front yard patio. Chairs, tables, and the BBQ may be stowed away seasonally but are always available upon request. Your apartment is equipped with coffee and various teas. I enjoy sharing knowledge of Greenwood and Seattle. Don't hesitate to ask Tyler or Kristin about the area because we hope to make your stay memorable and unique. If you have down time, we can be found at local watering holes or events (or just chilling on our porch), don't hesitate to see what's up!
The place is close to the heart of the Greenwood neighborhood with bars, restaurants, and every day amenities such as grocery stores and a post office within walking distance. The beer connoisseur would find this neighborhood especially fun because of Naked City Brewery, Chuck's Hop Shop, Flying Bicycle Co-op Brewery, Lantern Brewing, and many other in neighboring Ballard. Located near 8th Ave NW, it's a straight shot to into Fremont and Ballard, 10 minutes by car and 20 minutes by bicycle. There are many great parks within 2 miles, including urban lakes and saltwater shorelines. Although we don't allow smoking in the apartment, you are welcome to smoke outside as long as debris and butts are cleaned up. We are 2 blocks from Have a Heart pot shop.
  • I felt right at home in this little studio. Cozy and private with a nice little kitchen space and comfortable bed. The only negative I would note is that noise does come through the ceiling from upstairs at times, also be sure and read the details about the ceiling heights-I am only 5'5" so it was fine for me but the shower/bathroom ceiling especially is very low! Beware if you are tall or claustrophobic. Personally I love this neighborhood and the space worked very well for me, I would stay here again for sure!

  • Tyler was a wonderful host! We did not see him much but he actively messaged back when we needed help or clarification with anything. Can't beat the price for what you get either. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking to travel on a budget while still feeling right at home!

  • My boyfriend and I had a really great time here, the kitchen was definitely really nice to have. Really nice location, just a couple blocks from Fred Meyer and a couple buses from everywhere we wanted to go during our stay. Great host, communicative and informative but still gave us plenty of space and privacy.

    Ciara2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • Super cute and spacious home! Very private.

    Alejandra2020-02-03T00:00:00Z
  • Really great spot! I stayed for a month and I had everything I needed. Very close to bus stops and grocery store, Tyler is very helpful and I had complete privacy. One can hear occasional sounds from upstairs but it isn’t really a problem.

    Isobel2020-01-31T00:00:00Z
  • Very quaint and cozy! This den is located in close proximity to all of the best spots in Seattle. There’s so much to do in Fremont as well as the downtown area and everything is 25 mins at most! During my stay we only had a few days of sunlight to really appreciate the locale but I can just imagine how beautiful this neighborhood is on a nice day in Spring. The hose was very responsive and accommodating to any needs and we always felt safe and at home during our stay here. The kitchenette space was perfect for late nights to cook a good dinner or snack after a hard day spent out in the rain and we were always warm in this spot. I would stay here again in a heartbeat just because of how much value is in this space’s location, amenities and hospitality. Thanks again!!!

    Jair2019-10-22T00:00:00Z
  • We really enjoyed this place and felt like home! Thanks for everything, we would love to come back one time! :)

  • Tyler made the entire check-in process very user-friendly and made all the information I needed for the stay readily available.

  • Pros: perfect location, easy check in, communication with host. Cons: old building, construction noise at 7am, cramped bathroom. Good value for location, couldn’t imagine being in a better part of the city near the main attractions.

  • This place is great, it’s really hard to beat the location and price. It looks exactly like the pictures, but what it fails to capture is the high ceilings! From pictures alone, it looks like a cozy studio, but it feels a lot more spacious. Parking is easy to find and everything was clean.

  • I had a comfortable stay at Justin’s. He was responsive and very clear in his communication. Place is sparkling clean and spacious. Am grateful for the stay. If you are a light sleeper - a bit of a noise from the stairs and upstairs room is something to consider as the this flat is at the ground floor of a town house.

    Nachiket2020-02-22T00:00:00Z
  • Exactly like it looks on the website. Very open, clean and a beautiful space. Comfortable and nice access. We easily found parking on the side of the street. There was some noise from above, so just be aware of that, but it was perfect for our needs.

Small Private room for 1 person on the 2nd floor of our apartment. We are an apartment within a house on Capitol Hill. A couple living used to living with roommates excited to welcome the world to our home! We are a good fit for budget travelers who are looking forward to interacting with locals and folks new to the area who enjoy shared living environments.
Hello! Our house is a couple blocks off broadway in the northern section of the Capitol Hill neighborhood. The room is one of five bedrooms in our house. We have a cozy kitchen, bathroom and living room with lots of light! You can do laundry downstairs ($1 wash / $1 dry), and hang out in our lovely living room. Our house is the tall, dark and handsome type, height / weight proportionate, with a red brick exterior (if you're into that sort of thing). Good to know we are an older home, not a hotel so the aesthetics come with the territory. We're two blocks from Broadway, with a stupid amount of cool shit and buses within walking distance. You can get to the Pike/Pine nightlife in a short 10-minute walk. Broadway has transformed from its grungy gutter-punk needles-and-heroin 90s roots. Maklemore filmed a music video here last night. Sir Mix-A-Lot wrote "My Posse's on Broadway" about it. Pearl Jam came up with their name at B&O Espresso just down the block (RIP B&O – now moved to Ballard). We also live right by the library, and we've even been there a few times. The room has a lofted full sized bed that can accommodate one person. Best to check out the pictures to make sure it is a good fit for you! The ceiling is only a couple feet above the bed so it is a bit tight and will not suit everyone. We recommend the bed for those under 6 ft in height! We lofted the room to make use of the space in the small room as much as possible! There is a desk, chair and free standing closet in the room. The room faces west and is next to our kitchen. The room is just long wide enough to fit a full sized bed and frame, and long enough to fit the width of a full sized bed and the free standing closet in the photos. It is a small room! The wireless signal isn't the best in the room, so we encourage guests to use our living room for their lounging internet surfing needs! Please note if you fall asleep to netflix this room may not be a good fit! As we have multiple listings in this house as well as roommates and one bathroom we limit the overall number of guests in the house to 5 at one time. Be aware that our house is older, and feels very lived-in. The paint and furniture have blemishes, our carpets have stains that won't quit and our tile floor looks like it needs a mopping after a vigorous cleaning. We deep clean the house a couple times a week and do daily light cleaning. While our house shows it age, it will always be cleaned up and ready for guests! We appreciate our house for the location and the people. Our neighborhood can be challenging to park in and only street parking is available. You'll be staying with the two of us and a few other airbnb guests: Leah, 31: Leah has lived in the house for 4 years. Leah is a Midwest transplant who grew up in Michigan and spent a few years in Chicago before relocating to Seattle. Living with Leah is like summer camp. Her favorite moments in life are (1) when the power goes out (camping time!), (2) summer barbecues, and (3) when everyone wants to have a dance party. She's really good at people. Leah has several part time jobs that range from working as an ABA therapy assistant (therapy for youth with Autism), staff in a young adult shelter, Residential Advisor for High School International students in a dorm setting and driving with Lyft. Leah likes to keep busy and is often out of the house. You are most likely to see her around if you are at the house during late morning/early afternoon or get a ride from her! Andrew, 31: Andrew is new to the apartment as of Jan 2017. Andrew hails from Florida and has previously worked with homeless youth and young adults in Seattle area. Andrew works with International students in a dorm setting in the neighborhood. He also drives with Lyft and is aiming to head back to school to study nursing in spring 2017. He has a place in his heart for a well crafted computer game (including story line, coding and graphics) and has a series of mods for his favorite games he has created. Andrew also likes to lift weights to stay fit and gets really pumped when he gets new personal best when doing squats. Enjoy your stay in our home!

  • Great stay. Very accommodating and friendly. Location is prime for cap hill and in a beautiful neighborhood. This room has a view of the olympics if not overcast, which is very nice. No cleaning fee so personal clean up is requested. The bunk was comfortable. I would stay here again.

    Rachel2019-01-16T00:00:00Z
  • Great location and really well thought out shared space. I was concerned about the loft bed, but it didn't feel small at all to me, and I'm 6'0". (It was a little cramped in the vertical direction, as described, but not a problem for me.) Given the price (so cheap!) I was honestly a bit surprised at how comfortable this Airbnb was.

    Trent2019-01-13T00:00:00Z
  • This was a great place to stay during my week in Seattle. It was close to the light rail and within walking distance of a lot of things. Leah was really quick to reply and they were very accommodating, letting me leave my luggage there during the day I checked out until my evening flight.

    Stephanie2019-01-11T00:00:00Z
  • I was worried about the lofted bed since I am 6'2'', but it was spacious and cozy. An amazing value. I enjoyed having a common space to relax as well.

  • Beautifully updated studio on a quiet street in Capitol Hill. Easy walk to numerous restaurants, bakeries, and grocery stores and a short Uber to South Lake Union and Amazon. Secure off-street parking. The host thoughtfully provided a video with all the information on opening the lockbox, getting to the unit, and accessing the correct parking place. Truly a gem.

  • We really enjoyed staying at Tiffany’s place for our weekend in Seattle. It was super clean and well organized with beautiful design. Also, it’s very walkable to all the restaurants and shops in Capitol Hill. Tiffany was super easy to talk to and made the check in process simple. We would definitely stay here again if we came back to Seattle!

We at Emerald Stays welcome you to our modern and stylish vacation rental condo, in a brand new building located in the hip Belltown neighborhood of Seattle. The absolute best thing about this apartment is the location, located in Belltown, the residential neighborhood of Downtown. You will be steps away from the famous Pike Place Market, Puget Sound Waterfront, Seattle Aquarium & everything Downtown. The Space Needle & the rest of the Seattle Center are also within walking distance. You will also find some of Seattle's best restaurants, cafes, bakeries, bars & lounges, just outside the building. With a Walkscore of 98 and transit score of 100, the building is a "Walker's Paradise". So you can skip renting a car. The Convention Center is just 15 mins walk away. You can also catch buses to all of Seattle from across the block and Zipcars are 3 blocks away. This condo’s location makes it ideal for both business and holiday travelers. Since the building just opened up in June 2013, everything is new, modern and stylish. As soon as you enter the building’s spacious, beautiful lobby, you will notice the well-equipped 24-hour gym to your left. At the first chance you get, take the elevator up to the rooftop deck and you will be treated to awesome views of downtown and the waterfront. The rooftop deck also has a comfortable lounging area and is fitted with BBQ grills. The apartment itself is a modern open one-bedroom with hardwood floors and excellent furnishings. The huge windows provide ample light and a spacious feel to the condo. We have furnished this place such that you will feel absolutely at home. Between the plush queen bed and futon (which unfolds to a full size bed), this apartment will comfortably accommodate 3 guests. Apart from the towels and linens already laid out, there are many more to spare in the closets. The kitchen has stainless steel appliances & is fully equipped with everything you need to cook, serve and enjoy a wonderful meal (How about taking the food upstairs and making a picnic out of it). We think Internet is a basic utility and provide dedicated high-speed Wifi. There is a 43-inch HDTV with complimentary Netflix. Please note, we do not provide Cable on the TV. The Roku box does provide you access to news and on-demand programming. There is also TV with cable in the common lounging space. Come live like Locals in one of the most premium buildings of Seattle! It is a No Smoking Building, so we will expect you to respect that. Parking : Parking in the building can be arranged ( based on availability) at $20 per day. Although if you are staying in the center of the city you don't need a car at all.

  • This place was amazing! Perfect space for all 4 of us. There was extra blankets, pillows, towels and toiletries for us to use. It was super cute! There was a bit of street noise, but ear plugs are provided and they work wonders. It was in a really nice part of town, as well. I felt very safe. • This place was a perfect and cozy!! Super close to a lot of main attractions in Seattle! Uber trips around the area to go to some main attractions were only around $8 a trip! Trips that were slightly a bit further out were only about $12-$15 a trip! Super convenient! Walking distance to Pike Place and Starbucks Reserve Roastery! It has a sky view ceiling right above where you sleep! The sound of rain was amazing to fall asleep too! Just loved everything :) Door is a little hard to open but definitely not a problem!!! Couches were supppppper comfy!!!!

    Paulina2020-01-10T00:00:00Z
  • Rachel’s place is charming and artsy. Quick responses, easy check- in. The best thing about Rachel’s place is the natural sunlight. The amount of natural sunlight this place has makes it bright and cheerful. Even if it’s raining everyday and every night. It’s also in a great location. Felt safe in the neighborhood. I would stay here again and my son was sad to leave. He loved hanging out on the patio.

    Amy2019-12-27T00:00:00Z
  • I loved staying in Rachel’s sweet home. It is peaceful, beautiful and comfy, filled with wonderful houseplants, great library and lots of good energy. Slept so good in the cozy loft! Location was excellent, cute charming neighborhood central to downtown, easy to Lyft and take public transport, with tons of cool restaurants and bars within walking distance, Trader Joe nearby and I was able to park my rental car on the street easily. I would definitely stay here again!

    Wade2019-12-09T00:00:00Z
  • Pretty much repeating what most of the previous reviews have said because it's very accurate. This place is a quiet and cozy, little loft located in a great part of Seattle. It even gets a lot of sun in the morning, when Seattle weather permits. Highly recommended for solo or couples. I was traveling solo so it was the perfect size. It's prime location is a great starting point to navigate the city and is near numerous bus stops. I would definitely stay again.

    Brandon2019-11-22T00:00:00Z
  • Rachel's place was cozy and felt like staying in the tiny house you always wished for. The views from the porch were nice to return to. The lofted bed was cozy and she had the most thoughtful details to make you comfortable. I enjoyed staying here and would definitely come back again.

My house location is south of Seattle with Puget Sound views. It is conveniently 12 minutes to Seatac International Airport and only 10 miles to Seattle's downtown. The ocean view bedroom is on the second floor of the hidden gem home that is spacious and includes a comfy queen bed, an optional comfortable twin bed, shared bathroom. You will have everything you need during your stay, including WiFi, kitchen, free coffee/tea, and stunning water view deck.
Shorewood on the Sound neighborhood in a serene setting overlooking the Puget Sound and Vashon Island. Less than 10 minutes away is located Olde Burien. Which is Burien's quaint downtown area with many ethnic restaurants and shops. A wonderful alternative to downtown Seattle, less crowded with ample free parking. A 8 minute drive will take you to the Vashon Island ferry dock where you can enjoy one of the Seattle's unique highlights, a ride on one of the famous Seattle ferries. Short 8 minute drives will take you to some amazing local parks around the neighborhood, which display why Seattle's nickname is the "Emerald City". Seattle Metro bus stop is located just 20 minute walk from the house, and it's easy and convenient to everywhere in Seattle area ( to downtown Seattle only 40 minutes by bus)
A safe and quite neighborhood that is very popular with dog walkers, joggers, and walkers enjoying the views.

    Corinne2020-02-03T00:00:00Z
  • Lars is a wonderful person and his place was so comfortable and cozy. It was perfectly what I needed and I thoroughly enjoyed my stay. I looked forward to coming "home" each day after work. His kitchen is fully + thoughtfully stocked and I was able to cook various meals for myself, which is so nice when traveling. I loved the variety of teas + little chocolates he provided. The place is nice and warm even in Seattle winter, with two heaters and a bed with an electric blanket. There is also a radio that's tuned to a station that plays classical music (24/7 it seems), which was pleasant to play in the mornings + evenings. I recommend Lars' place. It's a treat and he's a joyful spirit.

  • Beth was an amazing host. It is unfortunate we didn’t get to meet but Dede welcomed us and made sure we were comfortable. Our stay was great, the only thing we struggled with was the shower because we couldn’t figure out how to get it hot, but with a little playing around we figured it out! Other than that everything was awesome and we’d love to stay again!

    Surbhi2018-09-11T00:00:00Z
  • Great value for a comfortable nights sleep. Location was accessible and felt safe.

    Kristin2018-08-13T00:00:00Z
  • My daughter and I stayed one night at the Ethiopian Airbnb, hosted by the owner, Beth. The home is a very inviting and comfortable space. The room was cozy, the bed comfortable, and we each slept peacefully, feeling very safe and secure. Unfortunately we arrived late due to many delays along the way, so at the time Beth was out for the evening. Though when I called her to request the code to get into the house she responded right away. This morning I had the opportunity to have a wonderful conversation with Beth, she is a lovely woman, warm and open, easy to talk to. If ever we are back in the Seattle area, and in need of a space to land, I will most definitely check to see if she has space.

Gaze out at an unforgettable view of the Space Needle from the open rooftop of this contemporary studio. This urban getaway is in a historic building, making excellent use of the space, with hardwood flooring, a clawfoot tub, and stylish furniture.
A cute studio with a bedroom nook that fits a queen bed, (bed has high quality pillows and 1200 thread count sheets!). High quality towels provided as well as bath gels, shampoo and conditioner. TiVoli blue tooth stereo and cable tv!
This studio is in the northwest area of Seattle. It is the most vibrant neighborhood in the city and is within walking distance of restaurants and classic local coffee houses.

  • It was clean, comfortable, and centrally located, in a beautiful historic building. Highly recommend to others!

    Lisa2020-01-08T00:00:00Z
  • Matthew’s place is in a prime location in Capitol Hill. I loved how close it was to walk everywhere. While my stay was great and nothing was misrepresented, I did not realized how old the apartment was. It gets very cold and we were not able to heat the unit up the first night because of how dated the central heat is. We even used the space heater in the closet and it was still very cold until we had heat on for about 12 hours straight. The bathroom is also very small and very dated which made it a little uncomfortable. Overall it is a great place and could not be in a better location, but if you’re looking for a modern and comfortable place for short stays you may want to find something that has been updated. The roof deck has some truly unbeatable views though!

We recently added a Spiral Staircase to ensure ease of access to the loft for all guest. This comfortable Cottage is conveniently located in the heart of Fremont with private parking in driveway and a fenced-in courtyard. The Cottage is within a short walking distance to downtown Fremont, Greenlake, Phinney Ridge, Woodland Park Zoo and several award winning restaurants and coffee shops.
The Cottage was custom built in 2017 and fitted to make you feel at home. It is located in the rear of the main house, detached, which provides extra peace and quiet in an already safe and restful neighborhood. Unexpectedly, just two city blocks away, you will encounter the vibrancy of Fremont Avenue. There, you will find authentic Seattle coffee shops, coffee roasters, a locally sourced Grocery Store and wide collection of bars and restaurants offering craft-beers and outstanding food.
The cottage sits behind the main house on a quiet street, near good coffee shops, restaurants, and the Woodland Park Zoo. The neighborhood's dramatic hills offer spectacular views of Downtown, the Space Needle, and surrounding mountains.

    Brent2020-02-28T00:00:00Z
  • The very first thing that one notices when you enter this space is just how immaculately clean it is. Having stayed in several Airbnb's up till now this is one of the very first (hopefully not last) that I can honestly refer to as spotless. The check in is seamless and the location is better than I could have asked for. No suggestions for improvement at all from this happy vacationer. Special Note: Every time we finished up a night and looked up directions home my partner exclaimed "thank goodness we got a spot so convenient". That alone was worth the rental to be able to provide that level of comfort.

    Daniel2020-02-25T00:00:00Z
  • Right next to pike’s place market, a lot of food and drink places nearby, super easy to get to using public transportation, quick responses, and building has a gym and pool.

    Cirina2020-02-21T00:00:00Z
  • Great place with excellent location, ideally for two people but haa enough space for more. Two blocks away from the Pike market, also breweries and excellent restaurants at a walking distance

    Amanda2020-02-18T00:00:00Z
  • Awesome place to stay, it’s close to gum wall and pike place. Check-in was smooth would definitely recommend friends to stay here. The only thing you have to be aware of is that you have to pay for parking but not expensive, paid about $36 for both days.

    Adeleni2020-02-13T00:00:00Z
  • I was in Seattle for a work trip and staying at Chris's place was perfect for this. It was very easy to walk anywhere from and I felt safe in the area.

  • The space had everything we needed and more. Beautifully designed without being over the top. It truly had us feeling like we were on vacation (which we were!) It has a great location with quick access to the Ballard neighborhood. Have I mentioned the rooftop patio?!

  • Fraser’s home was clean, comfortable, and very accommodating. Check-in was simple and we had no issues throughout the stay. Would definitely recommend!

    Eric2020-02-18T00:00:00Z
  • By far, and I mean no disrespect to other places we have stayed, this has to be the *best* Airbnb experience. Fraser has thought through every small detail that a traveller might need and the decor and ambience and the neighbourhood and the access to public transportation (including the Orca cards) was spot on. The attention to detail, cleanliness, hygiene and the amenities are nothing but top notch. Thank you Fraser and Jan for making our stay so comfortable and memorable. I’d give 10 star rating if I could :-)

    Ranga2020-02-14T00:00:00Z
  • Fraser and Jan were welcoming and thoughtful hosts. They always replied very quickly. They have little details like some treats in the room and transportation cards. They also let let us store our bags past check-out time. And their dog Kobe is cute and friendly. The place was exactly as the pictures show. It was nice and clean. Check-in was easy. We will try to stay here again if we come back.

  • My husband and I stayed here for two nights for our “Baby Moon” and couldn’t have been happier! The location was close to everything and within walking distance to all of the local shopping and tourist areas. The apartment itself was absolutely spotless and so thoughtfully decorated! The kitchen is fully stocked with anything you could need for your stay and all of the furniture was very comfortable. It was really convenient that parking was included with the stay as well. I would highly recommend staying here! Alex and Jose were great hosts; very quick to respond and helpful with providing recommendations for restaurants and sight seeing!

  • Everything about this airbnb is A+. My family of 3 stayed for 4 nights and had an excellent experience in every way. The hosts are outstanding and the location is close to everything - we easily walked to the Space Needle, museums, the Pike Street Market, Amazon and Pioneer Square. The home is incredibly well decorated and super comfortable. The bathroom has me rethinking our bathrooms at home b/c I loved the gorgeous tile work and the shower was perfect. These gentlemen know how to treat their guests. Everything down to the extra soft toilet paper showed how important they consider their role in their guests' experience. If our daughter chooses Seattle U, we'll definitely be back!

COVID19: We fully sterilize between every guest! Turnip is a cool and eclectic houseboat with a Japanese design features, etched glass, and old timey woodworking. She is moored in South Lake Union boasting lovely views of the activity of the lake and the cityscape. Great rooftop sitting for enjoying the lake and riding kayaks. Seriously, She is my favorite. See my other Root Vegetable houseboats for rent in my profile. Ginger, Turnip, Carrot, Radish, and Jicama.
Renting for Summer!! :) COVID19: We fully and thoroughly sterilize between every guest with bleach and sterilizing wipes on surfaces throughout the boat so please rest assured. Also, we, myself and the cleaning crew, have been hard hit by all the COVID cancellations and have dropped our prices significantly already to try and stay afloat, figuritively speaking. ;) As such, we really appreciate your business! Turnip has a cool feel and is great for someone who wants a genuine, interesting houseboat experience yet still all the comforts of home. She has a junk style design, which is a common in Asia, a great roof for sitting on, and hobbity archways inside that really create a space that is surprisingly roomy and comfortable inside. This houseboat is comfortable place with all you will need - for the adventurous and open eyed. Managing people's expectations are difficult business so lets start now...please only book if you want to enjoy this home and have a curiosity for an unfamiliar way of living, as it is not a hotel or a house. See section "Other things of Note" to ensure you are fully on board with this experience. If you are, I am thrilled to have you stay on my boat. I love her and put a lot of care into owning her well. - 1 queen size bed - 1 sleeper sofa (1 person) - 1 six foot sleeping nook (best for children) - 1 full size blow up mattress and sheets available - Sleeps 4 on the above furniture pieces - 4 total overnight guests allowed - The place is awesome for 2 people, suitable for 3 and more of a crash pad for 4 people. - Full kitchen (refrigerator, stove, coffee press, kitchen essentials) - Heated (2 portable heaters + 1 wall heater) - Full bathroom (japanese style shower, toilet, sink) - Wireless internet - Kid friendly - Indoor and outdoor breakfast/eating nook - Deck and roof lounge - Parking out front the marina office building at a cost of $1 per hour. Weekdays, it is free before 9 am and after 4 pm. Weekends are free as well. Note: due to guest parking passes being taken by guests repeatedly, they are no longer available. - (3) kayaks - first come, first serve. No reservations.
The area sits conveniently close to downtown Seattle and tucked between Fremont and Ballard. For those checking out the city, this is a great location. For those on business, also super convenient and comfortable. The closest grocery store is about a mile away in Fremont (PCC) so keep that in mind.
  • We had a great stay. We really enjoyed being on the lake, the marina buildings block any road noise, so you are in a quiet spot. We also enjoyed hearing and seeing the seaplanes taking off and landing on the lake. Inside, the wood interior of the boat is a nice change from typical Sheetrock. We appreciated the no hassle ability to kayak as we wished in the afternoon. For any winter visitors, the boat has heaters, so it is warm enough, but it can get chilly.

    Alan2020-02-17T00:00:00Z

  • We had a delightful time on the boat. It was very spacious for two people, the bed was very comfortable. The location was superb. One space heater generated enough heat for us.

    Andrea2020-01-01T00:00:00Z

  • This is such a fun place to stay. Of course, as mentioned, it is a boat. As such there are a fair number of quirks about staying here compared to a normal abnb, but if this appeals to your sense of adventure it is absolutely worth it.

  • We absolutely loved staying at Andrew‘s place! Everything was super clean and really good described! We really enjoyed having a microwave, refrigerator and the coffee machine there! And you get to the airport super fast!

  • Everything was very clean and organized, they had an efficient system of cleaning dishes which was convenient. The host were really nice and this was overall the best airbnb I've stayed at. Thank you Andrew and Anya!

  • Andrew was a wonderful host. He saw to my every need. I felt very safe and comfortable in his family home. I will be staying there again if I ever venture back to Seattle. The bus stop was close and very convenient walk. He even drove me back to the airport as a favor! Now who does that these days? That is the kind of person you would be staying with. I would highly recommend staying here. Thank you Andrew.

  • Left here very upset- upset that we didn’t decide to stay here longer! The room was very spacious, clean, and contained everything that we needed. We were out and about during most of our time in Seattle and didn’t get to meet anyone other than Andrew but even then, it felt like we were staying with a family member. I hope to visit again soon Also, I loved the location and price of this place so I took a shot despite the fact that I’m allergic to cats (they only had a few kittens) I know everybody’s different but my allergies weren’t effected at all! I highly recommend this place and I hope to visit again soon

Very comfortable furniture, amenities, and a nice park across the street. Andrew was super accommodating, providing great tips for exploring Seattle and even helped me out when I lost my luggage and had to get new clothes. Would definitely stay here again!
