Stay in a beautifully restored 2 bed farmhouse in Ballylooby, Cahir, Co. Tipperary in the heart of the Golden Vale. Situated on a working farm, this 100 year old farmhouse comes full with Irish charm and character.
This is an incredible opportunity to stay in a beautiful traditional Irish cottage in the heart of the Irish countryside. Located in a working farm with cattle and horses, this cottage is a real gem with the famous Irish hospitality included. Contains 1 bedroom with double bed, and 1 single bedroom.
There are TONS of things to do in the area: COUNTRYSIDE: Walk the Vee in the nearby Sugar Loaf mountains. The Vee is famous because of the breathtaking panoramic views afforded to travellers and sight seers going through the pass. The journey rises to about 2,000 feet (610m) above sea level above Bay Lough, and as it does so it gives wonderful views of a portion of the ‘Golden Vale’ between the Knockmealdown and Galtee Mountain Ranges. RAMBLING: If walking is your thing, then the area around the Vee, Bay Lough, Loughglenbridge, Sugar Loaf Hill, Knockshanahullion and Gortacullen Wood (just under the Vee following the Tipperary Heritage Way sign) offer a multitude of choices no matter what type of road walking or mountain climbing you fancy. Take a look at our Walks section to give you an idea of some of your options. HISTORY: Visit nearby Cahir Castle, one of the largest castles in Ireland, is sited on an island in the river Suir. It was built in 1142 by Conor O'Brien, Prince of Thomond. This is a magnificent must see option for any visit to Cahir. The Rock Of Cashel is also a short drive away. It's huge, it's complex, it's iconic, there is nothing like it anywhere else in the world and it's right here in Cashel at the heart of Tipperary. The Rock of Cashel (Carraig Phádraig), more formally St. Patrick's Rock, it is also known as Cashel of the Kings. Reputedly the site of the conversion of Aenghus the King of Munster by St. Patrick in the 5th century AD. Long before the Norman invasion The Rock of Cashel was the seat of the High Kings of Munster. SHOPPING: The cottage is a short drive away from the heritage town Cahir, full of interesting shops and pubs and an excellent tourist office set on the banks of the majestic river Suir (perfect for a lazy afternoons picnic!) GOLF: There are many golf courses in the area, including Cahir, Tipperary, Thurles, Ballykisteen and Dundrum House golf club. If you are a golfer this is the perfect location for you! EQUESTRIAN: Tipperary is home to Coolmore Stud in Fethard and many equestrian entreprises due to the superb quality of its limestone based grass. Whether you want to go horse trekking, racing or play polocrosse, there is something for everyone here. Cahir is a really beautiful part of Ireland and we look forward to welcoming you!

Beautiful views of the city, amazing amenities (especially considering you’re in a treehouse), and wonderful host who gave great local tips. • This was our absolute favorite place we stayed on our 9 day trip around Ireland. There are so many sweet touches that makes this treehouse magical. The croissants in the morning were warm and delicious. The bathroom has a heater which was fabulous because it was cold when we stayed. The view is also amazing! If you’re weary about staying here, don’t be. It is awesome!! Also, Richard was very responsive and helpful with our late arrival and extended our check out time because it was not nice out.

Converted Barn, set on a coastal farm. Wonderful sea views and access to a number of beaches and fishing spots.
Converted barn on working farm. Large 20-acre vista on coastal setting with panoramic sea views. Quiet beaches just a stone’s throw away. The property sits in a secluded location with plants and trees teaming the surrounding. You will find hens roaming the gardens. This property suits an escape from the hustle and bustle - take long walks or retreat to the comforts of the barn. Food mecca Midleton is the nearest town, just 10 mins’ drive away, with shops, excellent restaurants and, of course, the world-renowned Old Midleton Distillery, which boasts the world's largest pot and produces world-famous Jameson and Midleton rare whiskey. It’s also just a 15-minute drive to Ballymaloe House, the renowned Irish country house hotel and restaurant owned and run by the Allen family for over 40 years. The Barn also has access to great rock fishing. Inch Beach (where swell surf is located) and Ballybrannigan strands are minutes away.
Set on a farm 21 miles from Cork city, quite real location. There is no nearby shop so stock up en route, lots of farmers markets on locally.

This cozy cottage is a perfect escape from our present Covid chaos. A unique piece of history in a beautiful and relaxed seaside village; the cottage was constructed in the sixteen hundreds and has a timeless homely feel. We are only a five minute walk from Myrtleville beach:) The antique stove (and central heating) provides gorgeous heat and fuel is provided for guests no matter what the season. Stunning coastal walks are easily reached and bound to impress no matter what the weather.
This charming gardeners cottage pre-dates Myrtleville House (which adjoins the cottage) and was built behind the sheltering walls of a 2 acre vegetable garden. Once said to be used as a small monastery, it is a truly unique building in a gorgeous setting. As soon as the fire is lighting and the kettle is on; the worries of the modern world should start to ease away. Over the last couple of years I have been renovating and improving every room in an effort to improve comfort while maintaining the old world charm. The kitchen is the heart of the home, with a cosy antique wood burning stove (fuel provided). It is the kind of room that's perfect for tea drinking and long chats. The low light of candles (many provided) is the best choice if you really want a trip back in time. We have two large double rooms upstairs and a single room downstairs. The layout of the cottage is slightly unorthodox but it was constructed almost 400 years ago so that can be forgiven. Out in the garden, there are hammocks and a geodesic dome which provide an excellent spot for a relaxation. Parking is provided of course, there is lots of space and it is very safe.
Myrtleville is a beach town within in a small river valley. Baile an Cuainin is its original Irish name and it means town of the little cove. Myrtleville beach is a popular destination for day visitors from the city. Going east or west along the rocks from the beach can help you to discover secluded swimming holes and tidal pools if you're interested in a little exploration. One thing that is often said about this place is that once here people rarely want to leave. Its just so easy to pass the day relaxing its hard to consider other options. The local foodstore, O Connells is great for stocking almost all the groceries that you may need. It is a 5 minute walk from our door. I always encourage visitors to take to the sea-shore, no matter what time of year it may be. There are plenty of beaches and natural swimming holes and if you want peace seclusion then you will find it there. The Myrtleville Swimmers are a local sea swimming group who swim all year round in the atlantic. There is nothing quite like the Atlantic to wake you up in the morning! If any guests are interested in taking a plunge I can give you all of the information on swim times etc. Foraging for wild food is very easy here with blackberries, mussels, cockles and sea-spinach in abundance at the right time of year. Just ask me where to go and what to look for and take it from there. For night-time entertainment you wont have to go far. There's always great live music happening locally from traditional folk sessions to some hefty blues rock in The Lodge. This little local is half way to the beach and worth a stop if you're thirsty:) A short walk from the cottage (and the Lodge if you fancy a short pub crawl!), just above the cliffs and the crashing Atlantic sits Bunnyconnellan our local restaurant where you can sit and enjoy stunning sea views. The last anchorage of the Titanic can be seen from here. Just a 5 minute drive (or a lovely seaside walk) from Myrtleville is the fishing village of Crosshaven. Home to the oldest yacht club in the world, The Royal Cork Yacht Club, and the spectacular Fort Camden where you can get a tour of the battlements and tunnels that helped to keep the harbour safe during war times. There is couple of charming little cafes where it is very easy to while away some time over a coffee, lunch or breakfast. You might be lucky enough to get here in time for one of our local festivals, like the crazy Red Head Convention, the Traditional Sail weekend or the annual Folk Festival. Kinsale is also close by, 20 minutes drive and such a beautiful town with lots to do there too. Fountainstown beach is just 15 minutes by foot (2 minutes by car) and is perfect for low-tide walks. There are many secluded swimming holes between here and there. Kids and adults alike can partake in the Funkytown Adventure Centre, where it is possible to do kayak rental and guided tours of the coastline, wake-boarding, tubing and lots more. Anyone who gets properly ensconced in the area will be charmed by the people here, its a small town with a good community of super friendly people....especially in the pubs:)

  • The cottage is a wonderland of farm and coastal life, the perfect place to rest and recharge in winter and I imagine a terrific base to visit the coastline of Cork in the summer. The rooms are decorated with comforting eccentricities and the stove tenderly heats the kitchen and living room, keeping you cosy at all times. Mark is a kind and relaxed host, making sure you have everything you need and always on hand in any eventuality.

This charming stone cottage built in 1890 has been restored with affection and only half a mile outside of Conna village. Your booking includes tea/coffee & homemade baked goods on arrival and of course a delicious breakfast (eggs from our free ranging hens). Your private bathroom includes toiletries and fluffy towels. We want you to relax and feel free to use your private sitting room with Sky TV and WiFi, wander around the garden or indeed weather permitting eat outside on the patio.
We are located in a lovely and quiet rural setting but with easy access (10mins) to the M8 for Cork (40mins) or Dublin. Fermoy is 15mins away and the historic town of Lismore is 15mins in the opposite direction. We have a large garden fully equipped with a stream, fairy garden and mature trees, and our suntrap patio is ideal for relaxing and dining alfresco.
The area is quite rural, so there are plenty of lovely walks and wooded areas to explore if that's your thing or you might wish to partake of a pint or two in either or both of our village pubs.
  • A really great stay, quiet relaxed location, very nice house. Great hospitality, could not have been better!

  • This was an absolute delight *_* Linda is fabulous host and very welcoming. The room is cozy, clean and private. The house is very charming with lots of eye for detail that displays the effort and love that has gone into. Linda’s Dog Ruby is absolutely fantastic and very well behaved. The fresh eggs from the chicken for breakfast were an absolute delight. The tea and cake on arriving was just another added factor that made the stay in Conna very special and memorable for us. I would recommend Linda’s Airbnb without hesitation and we would definitely visit again when in Ireland :) Linda, thank you very much!

    Christine2019-08-20T00:00:00Z
  • Linda is a perfect host! She and her family are really lovely. The house is very clean, she had cooked a very good breakfast for us (also with a delicious home made cake), even if we have food intollerances. She also gave us excellent advises about our trip. All the family will give you your privacy if needed, but they are always open to a good chat. You will feel like home!

The incredible family, of those people that you want to find again ... is a perfect stay, whether you want to go for free, as if you want to interact with them ... Even better, well They are lovely! Many thanks Linda. We will be back!

  • We loved Linda's cottage, her family, her breakfast, her cake and animals! Linda was so friendly and we got a warm-hearted welcome. Linda is definitely a super super-host and has a great sense of humor. Our stay at Linda was a highlight for us and we really recommend her cottage for everyone who visits Ireland!

    Chris2019-08-10T00:00:00Z
  • Linda is an incredible hostess and goes out of her way to make people feel at home. She is quick to make breakfasts and her social demeanour is addictive. I loved her home, her pets, especially her lil red lady hens who come to greet us at the door and fence line. It seems everyone at this household is warm and friendly! Especially Her daughter, whom brought us tea and sweet bakes every time we came home. Linda goes far out and beyond what most B and Bs offer. Her home is extremely clean and decorated so beautifully. I would highly recommend this place to anyone coming to visit Ireland!

    Rob2019-08-05T00:00:00Z
  • I absolutely loved my stay at Linda's house! The room was perfect with a super comfortable bed, the shower was amazing, and her breakfasts were delicious. I really enjoyed her animals - Ruby the dog, the cats, and the friendly chickens. Most of all, Linda was a wonderful host and I had fabulous conversations with her at breakfast. Make sure you stay here - and if you are like me, you'll never want to leave!

Double bedroom available in a nice quiet house in Watergrasshill. Perfect for couples, solo adventurers, and business travellers. It is on a very regular bus route to Cork City (approx. 20 min bus journey) and is a perfect location to explore Fermoy, Midleton, Youghal and all of North Cork. The house is close to a major adventure amenity (URL HIDDEN) which has karting, archery and many other activities. Note: this room has a double bed. It is only suitable for 2 people.
  • Fantastic place to stay. Hope i get the chance to stay again.

  • Mary is a lovely lady she really makes you feel at home. Your car is on her private drive which is great. The house is always very cosy and the room is lovely and comfortable. It’s a great price so close to Cork.

  • Had a short stay but enjoyed and felt very welcome. The room was very clean and comfortable. There is a communal room to watch TV and continental breakfast is provided. Would certainly stay if down that way again

    David2019-12-31T00:00:00Z
  • Mary’s house has a real home from home feel so you get a better rest than a hotel in my opinion. Mary is lovely lady and very welcoming the last time I arrived I was greeted at the door with the offer of a tea or coffee. For the price I think it’s more than worth it and I would definitely say any time I’m in Cork.

    Jen2019-11-17T00:00:00Z
  • Nothing fancy about the place, but it’s a comfortable place to stay and Mary is a friendly host. Takeaway/restaurant and pub very close.

    Sharon2019-11-04T00:00:00Z
  • Highly recommend Mary’s place. The house is lovely and warm and homely. The room I had had 2 single beds. The mattress was very comfortable. The room was spotless and I had a sink, dresser/desk and plenty of storage space. The bathroom has a nice big shower. Also guests have their own sitting room with tv etc Also in that room you get a selection of cereals and cereal bars tea coffee milk fridge kettle and microwave. Mary is a very nice lady and was very welcoming. Delighted to find such a great place. I’m actually rebooking it again for two weeks time before it’s snapped up.

My place is close to public transport, which gets you in and out of Cork City very quickly. Watergrasshill has loads of family-friendly activities. You’ll love my place because of the comfy bed and the neighbourhood. My place is good for couples, solo adventurers, and families (with kids). Note: this is a room with 2 single beds. There is only room for 2 people in this room.

  • Great stay, kind hosts

    Jonathan2019-08-05T00:00:00Z
  • Mary was away and fergal checked me in, i was down in cork for the night from Dublin, a quick tour of the house and i was given the wifi code with the offer of tea/coffee/biscuits but just around the corner of the house is a centra shop (very handy!) and i had just bought snacks for myself so i kindly declined, The house and bedroom was clean, 90s decor which was nice, the matress on the bed was abit hard for me if i was to be any what critical but im use to my own memory foam bed, pillows were nice and fluffy! I would have no hesitation of staying here again and would recommend it, very fair price and its only 20/25 min drive to cork city centre. Pros: Nice location, welcoming, wifi, cheap, quick communication between Mary and i before i checked in. Thanks Mary!

    To be filled in!
  • Erics home was exceptionally clean and everything we needed at hand for us. Eric was a fantastic host and would be visiting there again soon. Outstanding variety also for breakfast and access to the lough and kicthen whenever you wanted, it was like coming from home to home and be and great comfort.

    Niamh2019-10-27T00:00:00Z
  • Truly enjoyed staying at Eric’s place! Amazing hospitality and is always around to help out when needed. We arrived late at night and he was still available to help us check-in/etc. Definitely recommend!

    Alisha2019-09-22T00:00:00Z
  • Eric’s home was amazing, from his directions to the hospitality, it’s been one of our best Air BnB experiences. The location and nearby services such as a service station and McDonalds was perfect. Having the use of the kitchen and complimentary guest food was second to none. Eric’s home was inviting, welcoming and an amazing place to stay. If we were visiting the Cork region again, we’d add extra driving to our itinerary to ensure we could stay here again. In fact, Eric’s home maybe the reason we visit Cork again but we’ll bring some friends along this time. Thanks for an amazing stay!

    Kath2019-08-31T00:00:00Z
  • Eric’s place is only 30 minutes from airport and very close to Fermoy a lovely town. It has all the amenities and great showers. The food for breakfast was very good with a great selection. The room was spacious and the whole place was heated to a very comfortable temperature.

This is the lowest price I can go through Airbnb. I have the place advertised independently as well on Gumtree.
Completely detached and separate entrance for great privacy. Microwave, toaster, kettle and fridge available. There is no kitchen. The property has a spacious hallway with a wardrobe, table and chairs; a bright living area/bedroom with a king size bed, chest of drawers and big screen TV. The wet room has a power shower, a sink with a cabinet, a wall cabinet and a toilet.
Quiet and safe cul de sac, with a great range of options in the immediate vicinity. There is free parking available in the square.
  • My first time staying there, I was very happy with the accommodation. It's private, spacious, TV and Wifi are great, it has everything you need to have a comfortable stay and its great value. There are shops close by and its only a 20-minute walk to the city centre. Alin was very helpful and quick to answer questions. Would be happy to stay there again.

    Fergal2020-03-13T00:00:00Z
  • Very private and big room with lots of light. It was a bit furthen from city centre that we expected but got there and back easily. Easiest to take a taxi there from airport or city centre with lots of baggage. The busses were easy enough and close enough to use.

    Jacki2020-02-04T00:00:00Z
  • Perfect, very new, modern and clean. Amazing TV, WiFi works great, I hardly see better in Ireland.

  • Amazing place, best value ever, super nice and comfy place. 100% recommended

    Isma2020-01-05T00:00:00Z
  • The studio is nice and clean. It is within the premises of the hosts' own apartment and opens up to the garden which was great for our little one. Alin gave us useful tips about sightseeing and local amenities.

    Arvind2019-05-19T00:00:00Z
  • Alin's place is amazing. It is quaint with a beautiful view and within walking distance of Cork city. I will definitely stay here again when I'm in Cork. He was very fast with responding and introduced himself to us at the beginning and asked if we needed help when we were leaving. Very kind person and wonderful home. Very grateful for the hospitality and having our own private space.

    Katie2019-05-12T00:00:00Z
  • Clean and spacious private apartment. Well located. Difficult to find cheaper. Ease of check in and checkout. Definitely a 5 stars.

    Julien2019-05-06T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely private, quiet location. Everything you need for a few days stay. Easy parking. We didn’t walk to Cork City Centre as we took the bus 214/203 €2.60 every 20 minutes. Alin was very responsive when we wanted extra pillows. Shower was hot. Massive telly! Would definitely highly recommend. Excellent value for money. Thank you Alin

Private double bedroom with adjoining bathroom available in large modern newly built house 20 minutes from Cork airport/20 mins from Cork city. A car is required for this location as there is no bus stop. Due to COVID19 use of the kitchen is not included
You will be staying on the ground floor of a large (total house size 305 sq mt/3200 sq ft) free standing modern family home surrounded on all sides by farmland. Despite the beautiful rural setting it is only a 20 min drive to both Cork airport + Cork city. The family sleep + shower upstairs. We are an irish family local to the area. There is ample free parking outside. We can advise you of places to eat/drink during your stay. There is very good WIFI in all rooms of the house. The bathroom is equipped with a shower with powerful water pressure + hot water 24/7. It is a newly built modern insulated home which is maintained at a constant comfortable temp all year round. The house also has a ventilation system so the bedroom has a constant supply of fresh air while simultaneously wet air is extracted from the bathroom without having to open any windows. The house has a modern security system installed. The mattress and bed are comfortable. The room also has a sofa, a corner unit, a small desk, a hanging rail, and 2 bedside lockers. There are black-out blinds + curtains on the windows + the room faces a quiet country road. The bedroom + adjoining bathroom are also down a corridor away from the main drag of family life.
The house is in the middle of the countryside with shops, cafes, restaurants + pubs all within 10 minutes drive. It's a 25 min drive to Cork airport without traffic. Traffic is only there during the school term Mon-Fri and only during rush hour (morning + evening). Our house is a 2.5 hour drive from Dublin airport without traffic

Located on the N25 (main route between Cork and Rosslare) just outside the busy market town of Midleton, we are a detached bungaloe with ample parking. The house is surrounded by green and lush farmland and close to a number of state managed forests which are excellent for walking and getting close to nature. The Studio faces south and is bright, warm and cosy.
We aim for 5* standards and offer guests standards of comfort and hygiene that they would expect in an hotel.
We are ideally located close to all amenities but at the same time in the country. Guests enjoy the benefit of both. There is no shortage of free or paid activities on our doorstep including forest walks, beaches, heritage sites, activities for adults and children, and many more.

Friendly family home with a spare double room, ideal for students. Breakfast and dinner are provided and I can drop you near the city centre in the mornings. located in a quiet housing estate with bus stop in walking distance. Males only please.
  • I had a great stay at Scott and Linda's. Their place is a bit outside of the centre but their hospitality and the rented-out room are excellent. It is a good base from which to explore Cork and a good first home away from home if you are looking to work or study in the city. A good portion of Airbnbs in Cork do not give guests any access to kitchen facilities and Scott's does so and also includes breakfast and dinner. They are both friendly and also enjoy giving tips about the city etc...

    Kristine2020-01-31T00:00:00Z
  • Scott's place is an absolutely great double room in an amazing home with hosts that have thought of pretty much everything - clean, comfortable, great location to Cork City, can cater for pretty much all dietary requirements with tasty healthy real whole foods :) Wonderful hosts, thanks Scott and Linda 👍

  • We had a really good time at Ethel and Denise's apartment, which is a very sympathetically converted stable building. Spacious and comfortable, there is also a mini-kitchen, and Ethel left us tasty homemade bread and marmalade, as well as butter, milk etc The house is in the heart of the country, surrounded by green, with birdsong and the ducks knocking on the bedroom window the only sounds! It's ideally situated for visiting Youghal (a few minutes drive), Cobh, Middleton and Cork city. Thanks again to all the family for your hospitality, hope to see you again.

We live 2km from the sleepy village of Ballyporeen, between the Knockmealdown and the Galtee mountains . Our house is 12 km from Mitchelstown, 20 km from Cahir , 50 km from Cork city. Mitchelstown caves are close, also Cahir castle, Rock of Cashel, Althasel Priory, High crosses of Ahenny, Ormond castle, Main Gaurd; So an ideal base to explore the culture and ancient places... Do come!
Our house is renovated to modern standards. It is an original Tipperary county council cottage built in the 19th century for the workers and their families. One of the double beds is in the 'new part', but we have two more rooms in the 'old part'; We'll have to share the bathroom and kitchen as this is my home. and not a hostel/hotel :)
The neighbourhood is very green, we're surrounded by fields, with cows. The local village has 3 pubs, but it's ok to BYO....
  • Hilary's cottage was warm and welcoming and full of lovely Irish character. She was a wonderful friendly host with lots of information about places to see in the area. I'd be happy to recommend her place to stay :-)

  • This was an incredible experience. We booked last minute on the afternoon we needed a place to stay and Hillary was very accommodating setting us up with 2 rooms with private bathroom and super quick responses via messenger. Most adorable cottage, breathtaking views, quaint decor. Incredible hospitality. We swapped stores over tea and she gave us travel tips for the next day. We will always look back on our first night in Ireland as a peaceful and beautiful rest.

    Emily2020-01-15T00:00:00Z
  • The Rock is a lovely quirky home in a beautiful rural setting. Hilary is a font of local and regional knowledge the suggestions and tips she gave us for Cork were spot on. I was over with my son for a cousin’s funeral in the neighbouring village so we do kind of know the area and have our connections there. The house is solid, warm and comfortable and there was a fire blazing every evening on our return. The basics are all there for a great stay and Hilary is an interesting and generous host.

Our home is situated in a very quite area with private parking. Just 4 miles from Midleton and 25 minutes from Cork city. 25 minutes to the picturesque town of Cobh, where one may view the Cathedral, the Titanic Experience and Spike Island. We are also just 10 minutes from Jameson Distillery. We are just located 5 minute drive from beautiful woodland walks and great walking paths along the waters edge in Rostellan. There is a great choice of restaurants in our local area. Plenty to explore.
Our room is located on the ground floor and it has its own access door which guest love the freedom of being able to come and go of their own accord. You can pull your car up right outside the door which is ideal for bringing in luggage.
We are very lucky to live where we do. The beautiful Ballycotton Cliff walks and island tours are 15minute drive from us. Midleton the home of Jameson Whiskey and great restaurants is only 4 miles from us. We can recommend good local gastropubs. Plenty of local beaches and woodlands within minutes drive. Cork city and Cobh not too far away either. The famous Ballymaloe House only 7 minute drive from our home. We are spoiled for choice.
  • We still have very positive memories of our stay with Catharina and her family. We almost felt at home. We have been visiting Ireland every year for over 10 years and have never had such wonderful accommodation. As already mentioned several times in the reviews, we can only report positive things. Everything was just beautiful and relaxing. Those who are lucky enough to stay with this loving family will not miss a hotel. Nothing was missing.

    Olaf2020-01-27T00:00:00Z
  • All around fantastic! My sister and I had a wonderful stay at Cathrina’s. Our favorite part was the “welcome tea” and the breakfast set up. She gave us awesome recommendations and provided incredible education on many of our planned stops along our road trip.

  • It was an absolute pleasure to stay at Cathrina’s beautiful Cosy home, the house itself is fantastic with old world charm in a new home,it is decorated with great taste and every aspect is thought off,the room is lovely with a very comfortable bed and you have you’re own private entrance,a lovely continental breakfast is provided in the amazing front room,Cathrina is such a beautiful person,so easy to talk to and her and her husband and two adorable children are the real stars of this Airbnb, you are made so welcome,it’s like you are just visiting a friend rather than just staying in their home, enjoy your stay with this delightful family, you will not be disappointed

  • 2 persons, 2 night December stay, booked early Pros - Very clean home with very friendly hosts, lots of local tips, close to attractions in quiet location, house always quiet as well, all amenities provided, and parking available Cons - none Me and my husband loved our stay. The home was very cozy with Christmas decor all around. We recommend this bnb and would definitely stay again!

    Joanne2019-12-28T00:00:00Z
  • I would like to award 10 stars for this wonderful accommodation. Everything was just perfect. Cathrina and her wonderful family are as positive and warmhearted as I have not experienced in a long time. Bedroom and bathroom were sparkling clean and spacious, and so lovingly decorated by the design that we immediately felt at home. The Wi-Fi is super fast and tea with chocolate snacks were in a huge, very classy and tastefully decorated living room ready for us. We were not only allowed to share the living room, but it was even available for our sole use, so that we could spend a wonderful evening in it. Also we had to our room a separate entrance, in front of which we could park our car. The next morning we got a fantastic vegetarian breakfast with a delicious apple muesli and were then provided with plenty of helpful tips for our further route through Ireland. Anyone who stops in the Cork area can only warmly recommend this great hostess. Everything is definitely right here!

Everyone had their own bed, and the kitchen was super great! We were able to have a home cooked meal! Eric left special touches of cookies and other treats in the kitchen to snack on, which was very considerate. He’s a super kind guy, himself, also! I’d definitely go back!

College Road runs along the UCC. Shops, cafes, bank and pharmacy nearby. On the city bus route 205 . Just a 20 minute stroll to the city centre. The small single room is cosy and bright. The large bathroom is spotless . Also, you can relax in the back garden. I have a dog , Charlie, a very human friendly springer spaniel. He will be happy to welcome you. It is kept outside except when the weather is bad. It is a valuable security asset.
  • Michael is an awesome guest! Always open to help and for a talk. The place is just across the street from UCC University, and 3km from CIT University. Bus stop is just 20m far. Finally Charlie is a lovely dog, never heard him bark! For this price you won't find better in Cork!

  • Fellow Travelers, At Michael's you can expect to be treated like a king/queen. As well, you will have great facilities, a host who thoroughly knows his city, and a kind, caring host. I use BnBs a lot and Michael's makes my Hall of Fame list.

An ideal location only 5 minutes drive from Cork airport and 5 minutes from South Link Road. A perfect base for exploring the city or nearby attractions such as Kinsale, Blarney, Cobh or other coastal areas. Douglas village is only a few minutes away by car and offers extensive dining and night time experience
We would like to welcome you to our family home. Although some members of the family are out at work most days, we hope you will experience a warm welcome during your stay with us
We live in a lovely quiet neighbourhood and as we are on a cul de sac, there is very little traffic noise
  • Anne was a lovely host, felt very welcome and comfortable there. The room was warm, has access to the kitchen and good WiFi. Very nearby the airport which is handy. All good :)

  • The treatment has been unbeatable, the hospitality too. It has helped us with any questions. The language has not been a problem. There is a bus nearby (206) that leaves you in downtown Cork, well located. I would repeat in this house without a doubt.

  • Sadly, this was a very short sleep stay before an early flight. Very comfortable accommodation and great breakfast spread. Lovely hosts. Highly recommended for the area - airport, Cork, Cobh, Bandon etc

  • Great stay with Anne, warm welcome, king breakfast and she even advised me places to visit. The house conforms to the photos, I felt wonderful there. And it is 5 minutes from the airport and 15/20 minutes from the city center, that's great! Thank you for everything.

Single room in the center of Cork City. Two single beds available. Private bathroom. Easy access to the airport, train station, bus station, universities, tourist spots, hospitals and more. Near the residence you will find the best pubs and restaurants of Cork City, supermarkets and so on. We provide a small breakfast with tea, coffe, milk, cereal and toast. We are looking forward to welcoming you to our home.
  • They are great hosts, so sweet and welcoming into their home. The space is very clean, and there are clear instructions for the heater and shower as well. The nice offer of tea, coffee, toast, etc. is a great touch too! It’s a perfect location just a 6 min walk into the town but perfectly nestled right over the bridge, with a fun bar and coffee shop 3 min walk away. I stayed with my boyfriend and the pull out bed and twin bed situation was not a problem at all. They even went out of their way to introduce themselves. I would recommend to stay with them :)

  • Lilian's place is the perfect spot for on-the-go travelers. My friend and I stayed at her place for 2 nights and she was incredibly kind, helpful, and accommodating (she let us check in 3 hours early!). The room is plenty of space and the shared spaces are clean and well taken care of. Highly recommendif you are here for a short stay. Thanks Lilian!

  • Very nice room with enough space for everything.

  • Basic but very clean, and close to the centre. I didn't see the host and her husband much, but they were friendly and flexible.
