Places to stay in Poowong
A wonderful cosy cottage, located centrally in the beautiful historic village of Loch, in the heart of South Gippsland, Victoria. Located on the main street just a gentle walk to the shops, cafes and brewery (& easy walking distance to events/markets). Loch itself is centrally located along the A440 for those exploring the beautiful Gippsland countryside on a driving holiday, it is also ideally located for breaking up a long drive to Wilsons Promontory or Phillip Island along this route.
Cinta Cottage is a three bedroom traditional style cottage, with the main living area opened up to include an open-plan modern space, with a wood burning fireplace and bi-fold doors leading out to a lovely back patio and backyard with a great view of the surrounding hills. Great for spending a weekend away with friends (we can accommodate up to 8 adults per booking), but it’s still cozy enough just for two to enjoy a romantic getaway. We are pet friendly as well so you are more than welcome to bring your fur babies with you. The backyard is fully fenced with a waist high wire fence to keep them safe, & they are welcome inside the cottage as well including to sleep (but please no pets on the beds or furniture).
Loch is a lovely peaceful place, full of cute little restaurants and shops. It is a great base from which to explore beautiful South Gippsland, or as a great stopping over point to break up the long drive to Wilson’s Prom.
  • Our second time enjoying Cinta Cottage. It has a wonderful warm feeling and has all the amenities we need as a family. Very generously has great tv options and wifi, as well as lots of places inside and out to lounge and relax! Walking distance to Loch cafes and shops and the playground. Will continue to stay here in the future!

  • A great place to stay in the quiet village of Loch. Accomodation has all amenities required and has a good homely feel to it. Colin certainly knows how to look after his guests

  • Such a beautiful home! Even nicer than it looks in the pictures, with lots of lovely styling touches by Colin. Immediately started off our little holiday with the lovely smell of incense burning and walked into a spotless cozy house. Similar price to places we have stayed in previously that were not near as nice. Right in the Main Street of Loch near lovely shops and cafes. Amazing view from back deck area. Lots of pretty Rosellas and parrots came to eat from the bird feeder. Just a beautiful house, in a beautiful location, with a kind and clean host! We absolutely loved our stay here and so did our dogs.

Whether you're looking for a quiet & relaxing haven to escape & unwind from the hustle & bustle of a busy 21st Century life or a base to launch your trips to the Prom, the wineries or simply driving tours of the beautiful South Gippsland countryside, this cosy 120 year-old cottage allows for a calm and soothing getaway in the quaint village of Loch.
Greengage House is an old worker's cottage comprising 2 individual private bedrooms, a lounge room with open fireplace and a kitchen/dining room. A large shower room and a separate toilet. The house is ideal for a relaxing get-together with a couple of friends (with the 2 sofa beds we can accommodate up to 6 adults) but it's cosy enough for just two to enjoy a romantic getaway. Out the back is a large under cover entertainment deck with an extendable dining table for up to 8 or more. There's also an outdoor conversation pit with a brazier for those chillier evenings.
Our cottage is in the heart of beautiful, historic Loch Village. The Village is a quaint, quiet, laid-back place ideal for a relaxing break and getting back to basics. You can keep entirely to yourselves or have a yarn with the friendly locals. It's location is perfect for a short stroll to the charming atmosphere of Victoria Street's shops and cafes, the brewery and wine bar. Another short walk will take you to the old railway station and the renowned Suspension Bridge over Allsop's Creek. Even closer is Sunnyside Park with a marvellous children's playground and under cover electric BBQs. As well as boasting a real 'olde-world' charm, Loch is quite often a bustling, vibrant and festive place on weekends with the community market and other calendar events that welcome many day-trippers from Melbourne. The village usually reverts to its sleepy norm later in the afternoon becoming very quiet after 4pm. After busy weekends for the traders, many businesses are closed early in the week.
  • Ian's place is super cute and has real charm. As soon as we walked in we wished we were staying longer as it was such a cosy little cottage and the fireplace looked so inviting. Unfortunately, we only got to use the cottage for sleep as we were in the town for a family event, but it was such a cute space that would have been great to relax in. Ian was excellent with communication and the self check in was super easy with no problems at all. Thanks Ian!

    Lisa2020-03-15T00:00:00Z
  • Greengauge House is absolutely delightful from its cosy winter sitting room to its delightful garden and outdoor deck. We'd love to return one day.

    Leanne2020-02-14T00:00:00Z
  • Our stay at greenage house well and truly exceeded our expectations. The house was perfectly suited to us and styled beautifully. Both the back deck and front patio were perfect spaces to relax and enjoy a cup of tea. Beds were also super comfy!! Although loch is small, there is plenty to do if you enjoy quaint cafes and shops. It is evident that the town is passionate about supporting local. Ian’s place is perfectly situated near everything you will need, including the brewery/distillery.

    Lisa2020-02-09T00:00:00Z
  • Our stay at Greengage House was a beautiful 3 night weekend. The renovation of this 120 year old cottage has been thoughtfully and tastefully done and we didn't want for anything. Very comfortable beds, lovely outside area to sit and chat and very quiet. Loch is a delightful little village. Would consider staying again if in the area.

    Kylie2020-01-19T00:00:00Z
  • The home is very cosy and filled with personal touches. The kitchen is well equipped with a fridge, freezer, microwave, all cooking utensils, plates, glasses, cutlery and more. The two bedrooms are comfortable and the bathroom spacious. The home is filled with aromatic smells from diffusers. We loved the outdoor area with the capacity to eat out doors on a lovely night or breakfast at sunrise. The house is very clean provided with sheets, pillows, doonas and towels. There are games to amuse yourself, a t.v with an in built DVD. The fire place is lovely on cool nights. A perfect romantic getaway or a getaway with friends or family. Highly recommend as our family has visited the home twice already.

    Isabel2020-01-16T00:00:00Z
  • Fabulous weekend getting away from it all, loved that the smallest of details are considered. Comfortable bed, open fire place and walking distance to all Loch has to offer makes this an ideal place to stay.

    Kerri2019-12-15T00:00:00Z
  • Delightful place to stay! I came here while working in the area for a few days and found it a very relaxing little home, lots of cozy spots and a nice big backyard. Communication with Ian was great, clear and easy instructions for check-in were given which is always appreciated when arriving late to a place. Thanks Ian!

This is a beautiful studio space, just one minute's drive off the freeway. You'll have a big room that looks out onto beautiful trees, with your own private verandah space facing east. A small bathroom is accessible through a sliding door from the kitchenette area. Big screen TV has online channels with HDMI cable , and WiFi included. Small dining/work station, and comfy armchair. An extra floor mattress can be brought in if needed.
Your studio space is separate from the main house, with access through your own YELLOW door just above the undercover parking space. Kitchenette has coffee machine, microwave, toaster, and kettle, with coffee, tea, and simple breakfast items (please let us know if you have dietary requirements). If it is hot, we have a portable air con, and if it is cold there's an oil column heater as well as a central heating vent from the main house. You'll be next door to the hen house (they're pretty quiet, and no rooster!) and across from 12 sheep in the adjacent paddock. We have a pool that you can swim in during summer months, and spaces under trees to sit outdoors, as well as on your own private section of the verandah.
Darnum is a tiny township just off the Monash Freeway and approximately 8 minutes from Warragul. The local pub has good, if pricey, bistro meals, and does good business with takeaway pizzas. The general store has lots of supplies, including hot chips to order that are well priced and my children say they are excellent. Darnum is part of the Baw Baw Shire, and in 2020 is due to receive a $50,000 allocation from the local government to invest in local beautification and improvements. Currently, they're working on a more extensive network of good footpaths. Occasionally, there's a crafts market that operates out of the local town hall.
  • Lovely stay out in the country, felt very comfortable here. Hosts were fantastic, and we enjoyed saying hi to the chickens outside. Very easy to get around by car here.

Glorija is a lovely host, checkin was fast and simple, and she was also kind enough to give us a lift to a wedding ceremony we were attending in town. My place is close to the Centre of the Gippsland region, family-friendly activities, the beach, wineries, art studios, cafes and local markets. There is also the award winning Prom Country Cheese Factory only 7 minutes drive from our cottage. You’ll love my place because of the cosiness, scenic farm/country surroundings. We are an easy drive from the city. My place is good for couples and solo adventurers.
  • We had a great stay at Julie and Pete's place. They are wonderful hosts and offered plenty of helpful and interesting information about the local area. The cottage was a real home away from home with a very comfortable bed. There was so much to see and do in the surrounding towns and not far from the coast. It's a great place for a peaceful getaway.

    Murray2020-03-15T00:00:00Z
  • If you're looking for a relaxing getaway, this is the perfect place. Julie and Peter were so friendly and gave us lots of tips on things to do in the area. The bed is super comfortable! We will be back 🙂

    Hannah2020-02-02T00:00:00Z
  • Julie and Peter’s place is such a gem. The location is great, just a short drive to town, but in a private and serene spot. The accomodation has everything you need, with lovely little touches from coffee, cereal and milk in the fridge, to local recommendations which helped us maximise our one night stay. The cottage backs onto a field that gives an unobstructed view of the sunset, where we finished a day of hiking with some wine - could not get any better, highly recommend. Will be back again for a longer stay next time!

Our charming Victorian cottage was built around 1900 and is located on a quiet street opposite the historic train station precinct. Very close to the main street, it is a short stroll to local cafes, restaurants, supermarket and other shops. The kitchen and living area look out to beautiful hills, with a sense of privacy and being in the country, with the convenience of staying in town. We lovingly renovated our house and have included everything required for a cosy home-away-from-home.
The 3 bedrooms are at the front of the house, each with 10 foot ceilings, wood paneling and new carpet. I have been particular to make sure the beds are very comfortable with quality linen, a good night's sleep is so important for a wonderful holiday. The open plan living, kitchen and dining face north out to the hills. The kitchen is well equipped with appliances and cooking utensils, as I lived here for a time and love to cook and bake. With the large island and lots of bench space, it is a pleasure to prepare food here whilst chatting with friends or family. The bathroom is a mix of new and old, with a restored claw foot bath and re-purposed vintage cabinet for the vanity. The shower has choice of rainfall and handheld shower heads. A washing machine is there if you need it. For heating and cooling, the bedrooms have oil heaters and fans in warmer weather. In the living area, the split system is effective and fast but there is also a fireplace, with wood provided for those times you want to cosy up with a wood fire. The back veranda has a small barbeque and seating for two. There is a retractable gate, that when open takes you down steps into the large enclosed backyard. Guests are welcome to bring dogs, the fencing in the backyard is 90cm high, so obviously this is only appropriate for dogs that aren't likely to jump over. It's a really fun area for dogs, with a healthy lawn and trees with shade to rest under. There are some additional house rules if dogs join in the holiday.
Korumburra is a lovely country town, with lots of cafes and secondhand shops to visit. There's also a lovely walk close by at the Korumburra Botanic Garden, weaving alongside a creek. It's a 30 minute drive to Inverloch, with a choice of surf beach, inlet beach and the Bunorong Coastal Reserve towards Cape Paterson. Tidal River in Wilsons Promontory is 1.5 hours drive, so Korumburra is approximately half way between Melbourne and this incredibly beautiful National Park.
  • Exceeded expectations. Super host. Very clean home with all the amenities for a great weekend away! Close walk to the Main Street. Anyone visiting must go to Divas Indian restaurant.

  • A cute cottage with a fresh, modern feel. A couple of minute walk to the Main Street of Korumburra. The view of the rolling hills from the back balcony is amazing!

  • Leanne is a wonderful host and we highly recommend this cottage in this historic town. It is sparkling clean with absolutely everything you could possibly need in the kitchen including a coffee machine. The view is spectacular and the garden has fragrant rose bushes, gardenias and hydrangeas. And if that is not enough home made chocolate brownies and local fruit on arrival. Thank you Leanne we had a wonderful and restful weekend :)

  • Beautiful cosy cottage with everything you need. Gorgeous little town with loads of tips for things to do from the host.

One of the last original sized miners cottages of historic Korumburra. Our private cosy country hideaway sleeps 3 guests. Relax and recharge surrounded by lovingly handpicked antiques & country collectibles. Walking distance to Coal Creek, IGA, and all the local hot food and coffee spots. The cottage is privately tucked away on its own big block surrounded by established native trees.
Princes Cottage Korumburra is nestled quietly behind big hedges. Take a stroll up the brick path and up the steps to the little deck thats sits at the front of the cottage. Once inside, you will be greeted by a freshly renovated hundred year old cottage. To the right sits the main bright and airy bedroom with a double bed. There are also two beautiful cane armchairs to sit and read in. The room also has an antique desk for any last minute laptop action before you kick back and relax! To your left is the second bedroom/lounge room. With two cosy wingback armchairs and a single daybed. There is a TV in this room if you want to watch something and unwind. Continuing on to the country kitchen you will find a shabby chic four seat kitchen table with Brentwood chairs, antique benches and a small study desk. We have cups, bowls, glasses, wine and champagne glasses, baking trays and cutlery. Store any cool items in our brand new mint green retro fridge and enjoy toast & tea courtesy of the vintage inspired appliances! The reverse cycle air conditioner in the kitchen keeps the cottage cool in summer and cosy warm in winter. In the modern bathroom you will find a clean and spacious space with a glass shower and custom wood shelf. Head out through the french door from the kitchen out to the back seating area and lounge in the two seater cane armchair or rocking chair. Flick on the festoon lights for a bump in romantic ambience! The yard is large and private with baby olive trees and a multitude of succulents slowly growing in pots and alongside the house. Our stunning entryway iceberg roses put on their best show in spring and into summer! If you want a little more quiet space to sip a cup of tea, there is a cute little garden chairs and table setting up by the gorgeous garden shed. On street parking is fine, but if you prefer private parking please enter the parking at the rear of the property.
Put simply, Korumburra is a calm and relaxing country town. The shops and shop owners are local, the supermarket is a simple IGA, and you will not find a large chain restaurant in sight. The neighborhood is safe and secure, and don't be surprised if you get a "good morning" or a "hello" everywhere you go! The houses are a mixture of traditional Victorian, modern new estates and brick homes. Take a walk down Radovick to see some examples of stunning coal mine era cottages and houses! The local IGA is a ten minute stroll away if you need any necessities (like tim tams!). In Korumburra's main drag you will find ATM's, a boutique clothing and homewares shop, 5 cafes, 4 opp shops, a handmade pastry and cake shop, 2 bakeries, Bendigo and Commonwealth Bank, the Burra Brewery for woodfire pizza and craft beer. We also have Indian, Chinese and quality Fish and Chips. Take a walk through the botanic gardens and laps around the showgrounds. Sport takes pride of place in our community so catch a game of local footy or soccer at the two sports ovals of a weekend if that's your thing! Coal Creek is a must for a couple of hours to understand the roots of Korumburra. You will be blown away by the preservation of the mining community - best of all its FREE! Dont miss a visit to the old Korumburra Train Station. Although no longer in operation you will find amazing photo opportunities and a gorgeous example of the old architecture that shaped the early years of the town. If beaches are more your pace, Inverloch is a 20 minute drive with gorgeous pristine coastline and surf beaches. In Leongatha a 10 minute drive away, find even more food options, opp shops and an Aldi and Safeway and quality butchers. We are surrounded by wineries too, so if you want a bottle of vino from East Gippsland to take home you are spoilt for choice. Prom Country Cheese is another pearl of a venue to visit (plus they sell wine and do tastings #winwin) For another cute local township experience, Loch is well worth a stop. With amazing cafes and new restaurants opening up. Here you will find a tiny township that oozes country charm. If you are up for a bit more of a roadtrip, Venus Bay, Tarwin River and Wilson's Prom are easily accessible. In Meeniyan you will discover a beautiful French bakery with delicious baguettes and scrumptious wood fire pizza at Trulli Italian restaurant. We are surrounded by stunning drives into rolling green dairy farms and hills, drive through Outtrim to Inverloch at sunset for INCREDIBLE views of the rolling green hills and still dams!
  • The cottage is so lovely! The decor and the overall ‘feel’ of the place is so inviting. We would definitely stay again & will be telling our friends about Princes Cottage!

  • Jody’s house was the perfect stopover on our way between Phillip Island and Wilson’s Prom. It is a beautiful and comfortable home (probably the best sofa bed I’ve ever slept on!). We had everything we needed and the little touches for breakfast made the stay even better. Will be happy to recommend to friends heading to the area or stay again. Couldn’t recommend it enough. Thanks Jody!

  • STAY HERE!! We cannot recommend this place highly enough. Marge's Cottage is an absolutely incredible place. Having been frequent users of AirBnB, this was by far one of my partner and my favourite stays. Marge's is beautifully (and luxuriously) fitted out for a gorgeous weekend of relaxation and rest. We lit a cozy fire, had a beautiful hot bath looking out the gigantic window at a full moon, slept soundly in beautiful linen sheets with the sound of their gorgeous sheep (and their bells) running around in the background - and even ate a delicious (home-made) cake that Cheryl had prepared as a surprise for my birthday. The cottage is easy to find, super simple to self-check-in (which makes for a relaxing drive down) and equiped with everything you might need and more for your stay. Spotlessly clean. Beautiful eggs and bacon provided to cook brekky the next morning. Such a generous offering and experience. We can't wait to stay again. Thank you so much again for a wonderful stay Cheryl. 100/10, so good.

    Brigitt2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • What an amazing little hidden gem Marges Cottage is. All the small details, fresh cut flowers and greenery, the old dinning table, the day bed, and that bathroom! Just so beautiful! The sour dough bread, with butter; fresh eggs; hot chocolate; just added so much thought and comfort to our stay. We just loved it.

    Lindy2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • What an absolutely magical place to stay. We were devastated we booked for only one night. Cheryl's thoughtfulness throughout the cottage is without a doubt the best Ive ever experienced. The cottage location and serenity has left me aching to come back and stay for longer. We had a wonderful couple of days in the tiny town Loch. Thank you Cheryl for your kind hospitality and for sharing such a beautiful space with us. Cant wait to come back x

    Kristy2020-02-29T00:00:00Z
  • Cheryl was a fantastic host. Very thoughtful, responsive and welcoming. The place is amazing. Beautiful location and very well presented. You won’t be disappointed staying at Marge’s.

    Adam2020-02-24T00:00:00Z
  • Regular Airbnb users will be familiar with the experience of turning up somewhere only to discover that the place isn’t quite as polished as it looks in the pictures. Well Cheryl’s place is the complete opposite of that. Pictures can not fully do it justice as they can’t capture all the attention to detail that has gone into making this place such a lovely stay. Beautiful linen on the beds, plush towels, slippers to keep your feet warm, locally sourced breakfast supplies to name a few. A wonderful place to enjoy some solitude and calm. We are seriously hoping to return and stay for longer.

    Tola2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • Outstanding place. Absolutely beautiful part of the world. Helpful, thoughtful hosts. 10/10 in every way.

    Ben2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • The place is as beautiful as the pictures shown, with even more thoughtful touches inside which you’ll understand once you get there. The entire house is wonderfully designed and the bathroom is an absolute luxury. Would highly recommend for anyone who loves being away from the hustle and bustle to be amongst the quiet, tranquility of nature!

    Michelle2020-01-26T00:00:00Z
  • Outstanding! Marge's Cottage is like coming home - so warming, peaceful and grounding. The space is beautiful, stylish and cosy. Cheryl is so thoughtful and generous with the amenities and goodies she provides. Beautiful brekky options as well. Will be returning!!

    妙宣2020-01-31T00:00:00Z
  • We checked into Anne's place after a busy few days in Melbourne and a long drive. Immediately impressed with how neat and clean everything was. There was freshly baked bread, home-made jam and the most amazing cookies waiting for us in the kitchen. The apartment is small, but it has everything you could need for a comforable stay with lots of thoughful touches. The bed was the most comforatable bed I have ever slept in! I slept so well while staying at Anne's place. The garden is gorgeous, I enjoyed my morning cuppa watching the birds. I highly recommend Anne's place to anyone looking for a little slice of heaven in Leongatha :)

Just 105 Kms from Melbourne, come visit green, rolling hills and quaint villages. We offer two couples or families our home as a gateway to country living: witness milking, feed the birds and animals; use our kitchen, vegetable garden and loungeroom.
This separate apartment has two large bedrooms with its own entrance through the front door or the garage where you may park your car. The smaller third bedroom has bunks for two children, a table and chairs. Comfortable spa bath and separate shower, with a separate toilet and hand basin. If you are a couple, you will have this apartment to yourselves. If you are a couple travelling with another couple you and your friends will share the bathroom. If either of you have children, we have the bunk beds for two of them....any more than 6 persons and we do have other options for another two singles, or a couple prepared to have single bed accommodation, adjacent to the house for an extra charge. If you wish to cook, we have the large and fully equipped kitchen for you, and we invite you to partake of our vegetable garden which we are now establishing. In our kitchen, we provide a fridge for your use and we welcome you to use our kitchen and dining area for your family breakfast. We do leave a generous Continental breakfast for you. Outside seating and BBQ is provided for your relaxation, and a fire pit inside our pavillion - weather/season permitting. This all weather shelter for BBQ and outside cooking/eating - has magnificent views to the West. Generally, you will feel that you have the house to yourselves, not just your apartment.
From the house we have 360 degree views. Walk out onto the 7.5 acres green grass and roll down the hill, sit under the trees, climb the trees, experience the quiet and watch the cows and other animals and wonderful birdlife all around. Coal Creek Historical village; Philip Island and Wilson's Prom not far away. Jindivick Art Trails and Loch Meenyin Fish Creek Festivals. I love that we can stroll down our driveway and we are there in the Village of Loch. Stroll through the Village, several coffee shop and restaurant choices, a wonderful Gift Shop with the best and inexpensive gifts available, unique design dress shops soap Bakery and fresh local produce; Antiques are often on sale and the Owner of Carringtons will deliver to Melbourne, anytime. Amalia’s superb Italian Restaurant and the Loch Wine Bar. There is a great playground for children, picnic area, skate park and walk under the Highway to the quaint railway station whose train is temporarily suspended due to damage to a Bridge along the normal route between Leongatha and Nyora. In this location we hold Farmers Markets during the warmer months; while Winter Markets are held in the Town Hall - 2nd Sunday monthly. Geoff and I can recommend local sheep and goat's cheese tasting opportunities: Prom Country Cheeses, and markets, particularly the very popular Kongwak market each Sunday. The Gippsland Wine Co. is in the Village, and here you commence the Gippsland Wine Trail, have a yarn with Mark, and try his outstanding award wining wines! Dinners are available close by at The Poowong Pub; Amalia’s The Grove and other places we can recommend...or use our BBQ/spit! Our own boutique Brewery has received much Press lately, as well as the Winery across the Hwy - wine tasting extravaganza!

  • My second trip this year to Helen's place, this time with my partner Julie. Such a relaxing place, beautiful garden and great conversation with Helen. Lovely brekkie. And that Pugalier, Bessie! Gorgeous.

    Peter2020-02-14T00:00:00Z
  • What a great weekend at Puggle Hill farm! It was an amazing experience. A bright, healthy, beautiful, peaceful environment and the best place to bring your doggie along. We will return!

    Mayken2020-01-27T00:00:00Z
  • This is a sensational place. Helen is a great host, interested in guests and up for a chat but gives you space if you want. And the space is lovely. The farmhouse is beautifully decorated, and I sat reading in the beautiful garden both afternoons. However, there were distractions. One was the pack of alpacas in the paddock. Beautiful. The other was the two beautiful dogs. The younger puppy was just gorgeous, and persistent! I had a ball with her. Helen is lucky she didn't find her way into my car for the trip home! A beautiful, serene place to chill out.

    Peter2020-01-03T00:00:00Z
  • Helen is a kind, thoughtful and friendly woman and one of the best Airbnb hosts we’ve had. We booked quite last minute due to needing emergency accommodation from the Gippsland fires and Helen was very quick to reply. Her house is set on the most beautiful property, surrounded by farmland and gardens. It’s only a few minute drive into town, the room and bed were super comfy and the breakfast spread was exactly what we needed for our long day ahead. I would highly recommend staying with Helen as your base to explore the area- the town is gorgeous and so close to both Melbourne and Wilsons Prom!

  • I can sum this property up in one word ”Impressive!” I stayed here for a night with my Partner and Daughter and we were all super impressed with this stunning, feel good property. Honestly, I am a little OCD when it comes to cleanliness and this property outdid my expectations. All the little extras left by Karen were a wonderful touch and her communication was outstanding. Perfect Host! Thank you Karen for allowing us to stay in your superb AirBNB and we look forward to booking this gorgeous property when visiting South Gippsland in the future.

  • This is one of those places where five stars are not enough. Karen is a fantastic host. Very welcoming but also leaves you alone to enjoy the place. If I could stay for weeks I would. You will not regret this "Cozy" retreat. (The other property called Snug Cottage, next door, is also a an awesome place. I was fortunate to have a sneak look. )

    Dan2020-03-13T00:00:00Z
  • Loved it! 😁 Definitely recommend staying in this beautiful home! We instantly felt at home, everything was clean and cosy. Karen was so easy to deal with and we definitely would love to come back!

  • Karen's place was a great place to stay when visiting Korumburra and surrounding areas. It was sparkling clean and very comfortable and the treats were a lovely added extra. We thoroughly recommend a stay at Karen's place if you are visiting the area or just passing through.

  • Lovely quaint two bedroom house with very thoughtful finishing touches. I rented this Airbnb for my Dad as we were attending a wedding in the area. Karen had left a lovely bottle of Red Wine for him to enjoy which was much appreciated. The place is filled with beautiful flowers, fresh milk and plenty of little goodies in the cupboard. Very close to the town and a short drive to neighbouring areas. In a small quiet group of units off the main road with a lovely little outdoor area. The communication with Karen before the check in date was GREAT and so comforting that everything would go to plan. I would highly recommend this place to anyone wishing to stay in the area. Thanks Karen.

  • I actually made a mistake by thinking that the accommodation was for the entire place. It was 100% mistake on my side. but Shane kindly let us use the kitchen. Shane also let us experience the "calves milk sucking power" on our hands which my niece and I really enjoyed. My family had really good time and definitely recommend the place!!

  • Loved Dave and Win's flat. Huge shower, fabulously comfy bed, great coffee, nice extras such as grain bread and butter (which I wasn't expecting) and a comfy reclining chair to relax in. Plus how could one not be happy when it rained all night and the roof is tin!! Thank you Dave and Win - another home away from home with Air BnB

  • Dave & Win were very helpful hosts upon check in. We only got to meet Win in person but she gave us a number of tips on local food and sights. The place itself is super cozy sort of suite at the end of the house with a hotplate to cook, a fridge, comfy bed, nice clean bathroom and a TV with chromecast which was great. Overall, a great base not too far from town, and not too far away from some beautiful walks.

Had a wonderful few days - Karen has thought of everything you might need and lots of special touches too. We visited Wilson’s Prom which was so beautiful. Would definitely recommend staying here if you want peace and quiet

    Denise2020-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • Very nice place with beautiful view and the Karen is very kind as well. Will definitely choose Karen’s house if I go to Australia next time.

  • This is a sensational property that is spacious, with all the amenities you could wish for in an AirBnB stay plus some more. The kitchen is a joy to use with some nice little touches and pleasant surprises added in for our stays. There are plenty of relaxing area including multiple lounges, a sun room, and outdoor seatings. Karen was absolutely amazing with her welcome and explanation but will stay an arm-length away to make you feel like this is your home to enjoy for the duration of your booking. The view from the sun room is absolutely stunning at dawn and the rolling plains provides a serene and relaxing outlook during the day. The property is bang in the middle of three medium sized towns, so you are secluded yet not far away from all the modern conveniences that come with supermarkets and bottle shops. The NBN connection makes it super easy to stay connected to the world (though maybe you wouldn't want to...) The property was so amazing we had difficulties getting out of the house each morning to explore the area. Highly recommended to anyone wanting the perfect gate away.

Our families both in Sydney and Korumburra couldn’t stop crediting what a wonderful space Karen has created. Outrim Hill is definitely a returning location for all family members.

  • From the moment we arrived to our regretful departure, Karen and her home offered everything we expected and so much more! The home itself has been so tastefully renovated to the highest spec, a beautiful, functional kitchen with every utensil and pot required to cook up a feast! Generous living areas, lovely bathrooms and super comfy beds! Netflix, good internet and plenty of magazines to keep you occupied but that's only if you can tear yourself away from the incredible view! Delightful, thoughtful and generous touches didn't go unnoticed! Thanks again Karen, we can't wait to return for a winter escape!

"Relaxing, clean with beautiful sea views". Whole self contained ground floor apartment directly overlooking the sea in isolated Jam Jerrup village, 1 hour from Melbourne CBD. Great for relaxing, reading or scenic walks along beach and cliff path. Awesome sunsets from the living room and bedroom. 2 bdrms sleeps 1 or 2. Still open during the Coronavisus epidemic. Professionally cleaned. BYO linens. No contact with host.
The guest apartment is on the completely separated ground floor of a 2 story house facing directly onto Westernport Bay in the quiet seaside village of Jam Jerrup. Facing due West to French Island we get some fantastic sunsets you can watch from the lounge, terrace (or even in bed!). There is a Nespresso machine and coffee pods are provided as part of the free continental breakfast which includes, when available, eggs from my backyard chickens! The apartment consists of a double bedroom, tv/living area, kitchenette/diner and bathroom as well as a European laundry. There is also a second bedroom with 2 large single bunk beds suitable for adults or kids. There is room for up to 4 guests. Pets are very welcome and the front yard is fenced (1m) and gated. Jam Jerrup is a very dog friendly place and your furry friends can walk off leash or run on the local sandy beach.
Jam Jerrup is a small hamlet of 40 houses facing west onto French Island directly across scenic Westernport Bay. There are no pubs, shops or cafes here so you need to bring your own food. It is very peaceful with lovely nearby walks in the bush, the cliff path or along the beach. Awesome sunset most evenings, especially in Winter. There is a tidal sandy beach which is suitable for sunbathing, paddling or fishing when the tide is in. All my guests agree it is a beautiful and special place and particularly nice to watch the sunset from the terrace. It is also a very dog friendly neighbourhood. Sprinter (Spring-Winter) is a great time to visit as the golden wattles bloom, the birds return and we get some amazing sunsets over the bay towards Mornington Peninsula. Spring starts early down here so no need to wait till September! There are no shops in Jam Jerrup and the nearest town, Lang Lang, is 10 minutes away by car only. It has a very good takeaway (pizza, burgers, fish and chips) and a small supermarket and liquor store, pharmacy as well as the bistro at The Palace Hotel which guests have rated very favourably. San Remo (30km) before the bridge to Phillip Island has a very good supermarket and great cafes and restaurants. There are other great places for dinner like Kernot Store I can recommend, please ask. The Penguin Parade is at the far end of Phillip Island and is about 50km away. Koo Wee Rup is about 25kms away has a large Woolworths and other stores as well as a 7 day chemist (8am to 8pm). Other bigger towns are Cranbourne (40kms), Pakenham (35kms), Wonthaggi (45kms), Melbourne SE outskirts (40km), Melbourne CBD (90kms, 75 minutes without traffic), Melbourne Airport (120km, 90 minutes)
  • James has set up a beautiful space with thoughtful little touches. The view was incredible, with views of the ocean from your bedroom and lounge room! A great place for a couples retreat to relax and watch the sunset.

It is very quiet and peaceful, bright and airy. You can enjoy some lovely walks along tracks or on the beach, read a good book on the comfy chaise, do some fishing. It a wonderful place to slow your mind down and relax. James is a very accomodating and thoughtful host. • Perfect place if you want to take kids to Penguin Island. This place is recommended. The master bedroom has a sea view, the kitchen has a good rice cooker, the warm and thoughtful host, and even prepared chopsticks for us. Everything is so perfect. The landlord told me that there was a Chinese restaurant and a grocery store opened by the Chinese in a place before going to Penguin Island. Of course, you must come in person to know where. Perfect place, if you're going to take your kids to geese island. This place is worth recommending. The master bedroom can see the sea view, the kitchen has a very useful electric cooker, the warm and thoughtful landlord, and even specially prepared chopsticks for us. Everything is so perfect. The landlord told me that there was a Chinese restaurant and a Chinese grocery store in a place before going to kiee island. Of course, you have to come in person to know where it is

  • Heather is super accomodating and the little things made the biggest difference. Epsom salts for the spa bath, fresh flowers, a great range of cutlery and utensils which many air bnb hosts often do not provide! And the comfiest bed ever! Thanks for a great stay Heather 🥰

  • Beautiful location . Nice accommodation, perfect place to relax.

    Jess2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • It’s always the little things that make a difference and there were plenty here to make your stay a delight: bath sheets not towels, olive oil which many miss, the bottled water to help with smokiness, the chocolates on arrival and the beautiful handpicked roses. All of that with an amazing spa, comfy bed, clean surrounds and peace and quiet. Witsend is a true gem!

    Brendan2020-02-09T00:00:00Z
  • We absolutely loved every thing with our stay. Very peaceful and quiet part of the country. The place was like stepping into a home beautiful cottage. Very comfortable, there was a large selection of dvds to watch. We also loved to sit on the verandah and sip away on a cuppa taking in the natural surrounds. Nice getaway from the hustle and bustle.

    Susan2020-01-27T00:00:00Z
  • It was lovely, clean and had a gorgeous lookout. We loved our stay here. The cottage had everything you could need. All I would say is that the owners place is quite close, just something to keep in mind. They did keep to themselves though.

We've accommodated many friends over the past 25 years & we've loved sharing our home with them all. Now we move into another phase of inviting others from far & wide to come & stay in any of our 3 Parkside Avenue accommodation options -all onsite, amidst our lush green garden, quiet, leafy tree-lined court, on the walking/bike track, only 700m to the shopping centre with great cafes and restaurants. With the Studio, you even get your own private garden with barbecue & outdoor dining area.
Garden Studio We're your hosts, Bill and Leanne, and we live upstairs in the home. The Garden Studio is located at ground level, with private entry at the front of the property. Self check-in is provided with a key safe, however we like to greet you on arrival whenever possible, just to make sure you settle in well. The Garden Studio has a QB, with a SB in an adjoining room. A portable stretcher (adult capacity) is also available, including all linen. A baby portable cot, bath, change table and high chair can be provided on request. Continental breakfast is provided on request. The Studio is self-contained, including kitchen, living, dining areas, with Queen bed, ensuite and an adjoining single room. There is no need for aircon in this cool studio; a fan is provided to move the air around and works a treat. The heater makes the studio warm and toasty for the cooler days. We're on a quiet, beautiful tree-lined street on a no-through road, overlooking a Reserve. On street parking is available for your vehicle. The property is a no pets and no-smoking zone. (Our grandchild, with congenital heart disease, is terrified of most pets, so we don't want to add to his stress and trauma with his knowledge that there is a pet on the property.) Our 4.5m swim spa is mostly available for a fee, on request, depending on hosts' availability to set up/pack up the spa for you. Beach towels will be provided on request.
Parkside Avenue is located in inner Warragul, 700m to the shopping centre and a 15min walk from the train station. Cross our little street and you're right on the walking and bike track that runs north and south through the lovely town of Warragul, linking major parklands, wetlands and playgrounds, including the Leisure Centre and Indoor/Outdoor swimming pools. The track joins the two-towns’ bike and walking trail from Warragul to Drouin. We’re less than a kilometre to our favourite cafes and restaurants. The Country Golf Club with an 18 hole golf course and excellent dining and function centre is only a short stroll along the walking track.
  • The place is exactly the same as it is in the photos! It's very clean and it's in a very nice suburban area. Great amenities and some of the most wonderful hosts who really put a lot of thought into their air bnb! Would definitely recommend!
