  • Lovely and cozy cabin in an excellent, quiet location in the Adirondacks! Tacey was really quick with communication and even mailed back an item we forgot behind. Great stay.

  • This house was just PERFECT! Perfect for a weekend in family. Big house with activities around. Tacey answered all the questions very fast. Super clean.

  • Amazing place to explore Upstate New York’s nature and Adirondack. Tracey is a great host. A very nice touch is letting us use the kayaks on the lake. Would definitely love to come back again

  • Tracey's place was amazing. My two friends and I decided to have a girls weekend in the Adirondacks. I booked this place last minute, two days before arriving. Once we arrived we were in shock of how beautiful the home was. The pictures do not do this place justice! The cabin was gorgeous and sparkling clean. Everything was renovated. We enjoyed the large kitchen for cooking together. We also enjoyed how comfortable the living room was for a movie night. The home comes with a large variety of DVDs. We were only about a minute walk to Indian Lake. We spent one of the days enjoying the provided paddle boards and kayaks on the gorgeous lake. I also forgot an item at the home, and Tracey has been kind enough to mail it to me. I definitely recommend staying here.

  • This is a beautifully designed, upscale Adirondack-style home with many charming, thoughtful details. The two of us loved the twig-style log staircase as well as the handsome modern kitchen (fun to cook in!). Seating areas inside are comfortable and full of woodsy touches that were fun to study. The long dining room table is great for eating or even reading at. The porch chairs were our favorites for reading outside at any time of day. The wood paneling in the bedroom and all over the house really suits the area. On the practical side, It was great to have the powder room and convenient laundry facilities downstairs. It’s a very short walk to the lake and the kayaks (great to have these), too. Tacey is a wonderful, responsive host before and during a stay. Blue Mountain Lake and the terrific Adirondack Experience Museum are nearby, along with many hiking opportunities. We shopped for food at the Tops in North Creek on our way to Tacey’s, but if you forget any other supplies, Pines General Store in Indian Lake will likely have them. All in all, this is a lovely base for the area.

  • Great stay, lovely home.

    Jillian2019-07-15T00:00:00Z
  • Tacey's house is a lovely, upscale renovation with a great kitchen, gathering spaces and amazing front porch & fire pit, each with 4 Adirondack chairs. We cooked numerous nights on the front porch grill and had a fire in the fire pit nightly. There is just one bedroom plus a sleeping loft with several single beds and a futon. The location within a small lake community is convenient and has easy access to Indian Lake from the dock. We swam & kayaked from the dock and it couldn't have been more pleasant. The little town has basic conveniences and the access to countless hiking trails is perfect. The road noise from Route 30 is a little distracting at times but overall not a big deal. We highly recommend Tacey's house. Tacey was super responsive and a pleasure to work with.

Dizzying views of the Hudson River! Sweet cabin modest in scale, simple and pure to not detract from the richness of the views, offering a fresh, invigorating sense of “just what is needed, nothing more.” The cabin was designed and hand crafted by its owner in 2017. The rugged primitive siding was harvested from on-site cedar trees; the knotty pine interior was locally sourced. Friends gifted a claw foot tub and historic farm house sink. Enjoy a hot tub experience in our new Japanese spa!
The living room offers incredible views of the Hudson River and the meadow below. There are leaded glass windows in the bay window, a large comfortable vintage sofa and simple decorations. The bedroom offers a queen bed with duvet covers and beautiful east facing views of the Hudson River. There is an antique vanity with vessel sink, antique oriental rugs and Asian artwork. The bathroom has a claw foot tub with shower hoop and glass vessel sink. There is plenty of hot water, towels and soap. The kitchen is fully stocked with stove, fridge, microwave and sink. There are beautiful copper pans to cook with, plates, glasses and silverware. This beautiful cabin is located hundreds of feet above the Hudson River and offers dizzying views and great privacy. The cabin is not set a top the highest point of the land, where it would be fully exposed, but partway down, allowing the woods behind to form privacy and to shelter the house. Gaze out at the wildness of the site from a sheltered spot. Enjoy spectacular views of the Hudson River, a cedar forest and wildflower meadow. There is a fire pit with Adirondack chairs. We provide dry firewood and kindling for our guests. Stargazing at night is amazing as there is no light pollution. Enjoy a hot tub experience! Built within a beautiful Japanese temple-like structure on one of the most beautiful spots of our land, our all natural no-chemical hot tub is a delightful way to start your morning, relax after hiking or winding down after dinner. Available for a private experience for $25 for an hour of wonderful relaxation. Let us know if you would like to book. Join us for wood-fired pizza! On the upper portion of our land off Cemetery Road, we have a wood fired pizza oven. Here’s how it works. We make and provide the dough, and guests bring their own toppings. We fire up the wood-fired pizza in the late afternoon. By six, the wood fire has died down and the oven is about 800 degrees. From six to seven-thirty, guests come to the pizza pavilion with their toppings and we help them cook their pizzas. Because the oven is so hot, the pizzas cook in about three minutes. Lots of fun! Requested of donation of $8 ($5 for children) for firewood, dough and maintenance, please. Let us know if you plan to join us. Summers are wonderful with cool mountain breezes, nearby lakes and the Hudson River to swim, bathe or fish in. Fall is glorious with all the trees turning color. As for things to do in the area, there is white water rafting in the beautiful clean Hudson River right at the bottom of our hill offered by various kayaking companies, hiking spots galore, a nearby gorgeous completely undeveloped lake called 13th Lake, dining in North Creek or nearby Garnet Hill Lodge and great daytrips to nearby Lake George, Blue Mountain Lake, Lake Placid and such. A great deal of thought and energy went into planning this cabin. Like a tree grabbing a roothold in the slope, reaching down for water and minerals and arching up toward the available sunlight, a house must begin and grow from its site. When the design of a house has grown out of the uniqueness of the site, it will seem as natural and as integral a part of the whole as trees are a part of the forest. When the house becomes a part of the land, the site can be fully inhabited. This property is located at the end of a quiet country road and abuts forty acres of land owned by your host where we offer glamping tents and two other cabins. Please take a look at these listings and reviews to get a better sense of what we offer. The property is an easy scenic drive up 87 from NYC. If you arrive late, the house will be unlocked and lights on for you. MORE HISTORY: Since 1910, my family has owned 8 acres of land on the upper part of the land. When my great-grandparents built the original camp (Bird Camp), there were gorgeous views looking all the way down to the Hudson River. Then when people stopped owning grazing animals, and as it then became expensive to keep the meadows mowed, the trees grew up and the views were all lost. When 32 acres of land below us became available several years ago, with financial help from my brother, I purchased the land and over several winters, I had the property strategically logged to open up again the beautiful south and east facing views of Gore Mountain, Moxon Mountain and the Hudson River below. Originally I intended to return to my former business life I'd led downstate and to build vacation homes for sale. As things have worked out, my plan now is to build simple beautiful rental cabins and retain the property for retirement income, and so that I might leave an income producing estate to my daughters. I had an amazing winter of 2016 and 2017 building this camp. By December, the framers had completed the structure, the windows were in and I was able to keep warm with temporary heat all winter as I spent months happily finishing the inside of the "camp."
Camp HudsonView is located at end of a road which comes through a quiet existing neighborhood. Please drive slowly.
  • The cabin is spacious for two people, with everything you could possibly need for a great weekend. The view from behind the cabin where the firepit is even more beautiful than the pictures. Leslie was great at communicating with us, and brought us more campfire supplies when we needed it. We loved our stay!

    Rebecca2019-10-27T00:00:00Z
  • Everything about this place is amazing. The beauty outside is matched by the shabby chic/cabin and decor. Was surprised how close the neighboring cabin was, but it was so quiet it didn't matter. And, what a perfect place to step away from the chaos of every day life. Perfect getaway for adults, and dog approved too! Hosts made everything easy. Peaceful, soul cleansing...just perfect.

    Carey2019-10-14T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful views and cozy beds. Perfect to visit during fall.

    Myra2019-10-12T00:00:00Z
  • Leslie was a wonderful host. We had car trouble the first morning we were there and Leslie came right down to help us out. Yummy pizza and adorable dog! The cabin had a stunning view and the hot tub was very relaxing. Only wish we could have stayed longer than two nights.

    Shannon2019-10-10T00:00:00Z
  • Magical and beautiful. So happy I got to stay here in the perfect fall weather right when the leaves change. I would LOVE to stay here again and recommend this place to all friends.

    Nicole2019-10-04T00:00:00Z
  • Perfect all around for a peaceful, woodsy-vibe getaway. Hudson Rviver, Hiking, great amenities... Leslie is a wonderful host!

    Allie2019-09-28T00:00:00Z
  • If you’re looking for somewhere to take in the Adirondacks look no further! Our cabin was perfectly situated with a stunning view of the Hudson River out our windows. The cabin was perfectly outfitted with everything we needed, including our own bonfire pit and overlooking the ‘Dacks with plenty of wood. While food in the area is less than expected, turns out you don’t need to go ANYWHERE for dinner at all. Leslie makes the most delicious pizzas in her homemade wood fired oven. Just remember to pick up a few choice ingredients to throw on when you are heading in and you’ll be all set! (We brought cherry tomatoes, broccoli rapini, fresh dill, and peppers 🤙🏻) Last but not least it’s a must to reserve the Cedar Spa after a day of hiking. Nothing feels better than slipping into the warm water and letting it all melt away! Such a lovely place to stay in a beautiful setting with a fantastic host. Wouldn’t pass it up!

Lovingly restored historic Adirondack Bird Camp is surrounded by wildflower meadows with beautiful mountain views. Located on family compound of glamping tents and unique cabins. Wildflower meadows to wander, a private firepit for star gazing and just down the road from beautiful 13th Lake. Enjoy a hot tub experience (summers only) in our new Japanese temple-like spa! Most nights in summer we offer wood-fired pizza. Close to rail biking, whitewater rafting and the town of North Creek.
Lovingly restored by the great-granddaughter of the original owners, this unique historic cabin still retains many original details and decorations. Many visitors say they feel like they’re stepping back in time. There are lovely leaded glass windows, a handsome rustic stone fireplace, richly stained wood walls, beautifully faded oriental rugs and original china. There is a tidy new country kitchen with reclaimed porcelain sink, new gas stove, fridge, microwave, dishes and utensils. Upstairs are two bedrooms each with a double bed, wide pine floors, and country décor. And at last --- after 100 years of our relatives using an outside “privy” back when this was just a summer “camp”, we have a bathroom -- clawfoot tub with shower hoop and beautiful vessel sink on original ladies wash vanity. Towels and soaps provided. The bathroom window offers the best view of the mountains. There are treasured family hand-me-downs as well as odds and ends which nobody felt comfortable throwing away. Like all family camps, there are bits and pieces of everyone who came before; wooden floors record the scuffs and scratches of generations. There are many photographs showing life at “camp” since the turn of the century. All this gives this Adirondack cottage its own special personality, a unique sense of space --- a treasury of feelings, sensations and memories of family and friends. The house sleeps four to six comfortably: there are two bedrooms each with double beds. On the glassed in porch is a single bed and there is a sofa in the living room. The land is truly spectacular. In summer, wildflower meadows spill down the hill, flanked by beautiful forests. We welcome your well-behaved dog as long as he or she stays OFF the furniture, isn't left alone in the house and stays on leash to protect our chickens and ducks. The Hudson River is at the bottom of our little mountain. In the spring, summer and fall, there is white water rafting for reasonable rates. You can also rent a tube and float down river (the nearby rafting company can rent you the tubes, then pick you up and then bring you back). Of course, the river offers fishing, bathing or just a great place to sit by and think. We have a happy lab dog Sammy who enjoys spending time with our guests. We have free ranging chickens (get some eggs from the henhouse) and sweet waddling ducks. Most nights in the summer, we offer wood fired pizza. So make time to get away! It’s an easy scenic drive from NYC --- just go north right up Route 87, get off just past Lake George and then a beautiful 30 miles through the mountains to our place. If this cabin is booked, take a look at our cabins and glamping tents.
We have about 40 acres of land, much of cleared with amazing views, also pristine woods, a spring fed pond. There are several cottages on our property for rent and we can accommodate larger groups. We call ourselves the North River Hobby Farm. The area is very safe ... no bears, no weird neighbors and no ghosts in the historic cemetery next door.
  • A wonderful experience. Quiet, relaxing, and peaceful. Loved the claw foot tub, the bed was comfy and the fireplace is charming and was fully stocked with wood. It was raining so I didn’t spend time outside, but the grill and outdoor fire looked like it would have been great. And I LOVED the Japanese hot tub. Definitely book it each night you stay. Fabulous!

  • Great place!

    Ken2019-10-26T00:00:00Z
  • Charming cabin in a beautiful, quiet setting. Leslie is a fantastic and interesting host and she makes a great pizza. Lots to do nearby, you are not far from hiking or kayaking. Cabin is clean, and genuinely rustic. Lots of old family photos, books, board games and VHS tapes to keep you occupied if you don’t want to be outside. And probably more importantly, no cellular (Verizon) service so you can actually unplug and relax for once. My wife and I had a great time and will definitely return.

    Jason2019-10-02T00:00:00Z
  • The cabin was very much off the beaten path, and that was the best part. At night you could see every star in the sky. The personal touches with the original pictures being in the house were really interesting. The property is beautiful, and I really hope to stay again someday.

    Courtney2019-08-31T00:00:00Z
  • Magical location. Great mix of private space with easy access to some really special shared amenities. The Japanese hot tub and pizza oven were both especially memorable. My young daughter loved feeding our food scraps to the friendly roaming chickens. Located within close diving distance to lots of outdoor adventures. A real retreat and escape from City living. A summer highlight!

  • What a fun experience somewhere between camping and staying in an inn/hotel. Leslie's Hobby Farm is a real delightful place. We stayed in Bird Cabin one night, then Glamp Bernice the next. Both were unique and enjoyable, but I think we preferred the tent! We enjoyed (more than we expected) meeting the other guests, sharing pizza toppings and wine, sitting by the fire making s'mores, sleeping in the tents (or cabins) on a cool evening, and the beautiful setting of the farm. A highlight was waking up at 1 am and sitting out under the brilliant night sky, seeing the milky way and shooting stars. Kayaking at 13th Lake was also a highlight. Leslie and Emmeline think of everything and make the stay an enjoyable experience for everyone. We were even sent home with lavender bags and fresh peaches! We'll definitely be back. August 2019

    Sharon2019-08-24T00:00:00Z
  • A quiet spot with a beautiful pollinator field filled brimming with activity.

    Michael2019-08-17T00:00:00Z
  • Leslie's farm and the Camp Bird house we rented provided our family of 4 a home away from home. Our girls loved Sammie and the chickens. Pizza was delicious. Hot tub superb. Leslie is an easygoing and highly responsive host. Camp Bird provided us with just enough privacy and utter Adirondacks quiet that my wife and I needed. Day trips to Revolution Rail, 13th Lake for canoeing and swimming, Garnet Hill Lodge for dinner, North Creek for town items, Schroon Lake for beach time, and Adirondacks Extreme for tree climbing obstacle courses were easy.

  • We had a great stay at Camp Matty! Christopher was very communicative and answered any questions we had. The deck was a great relaxing spot on the sunny days. We loved using the hot tub and steam shower! Hopefully we’ll be able to come back for warmer weather.

  • Highly Recommended for snowmobilers. Awesome mountain house, very comfortable we felt right at home. loved the wood stove, pellet stove, and hot tub, made coming home from riding all day in subzero temps great. Host provided us with a ton of local knowledge as our group had not ridden this area before. We were able to ride out to the trail system from the house without issue. We will definitely be back next season!

This delightful newly-built cabin with gorgeous beautiful mountain views offers privacy and sounds of the brook below. Camp TwoSome was built for just two (or maybe three) ... cozy, sweet and lovely. Located on a quiet road surrounded by woods. Elsewhere on our family compound, we offer a Japanese hot tub, on-site walking trails through beautiful wildflower meadows and most nights, wood-fired pizza. Close to rail biking, white water rafting and 13th Lake for swimming and kayaking.
Enjoy gorgeous views of the Gore Mountain range in this brookside newly built cabin. Camp TwoSome is a sweet “new old” cabin is modest in scale, simply furnished so to not detract from the richness of the views --- it offers a fresh, invigorating sense of “just what is needed, nothing more.” The cabin is located on a 40 acre family compound where we have four glamping tents and four cabins with plenty of privacy between each. There is a queen bed with duvet covers and beautiful east facing views of the mountains. Vintage oriental rugs, beautiful drapes and antique lamps. There is a cozy bay window where one could read, or sleep. The bay window overlooks a brook far below with a beautiful canopy of trees above. The bathroom has a nice shower and vanity. There is plenty of hot water, towels, soap, shampoo and conditioner for your use. The kitchen is fully stocked with a stove, an undercounter fridge, toaster, coffee making things and of course a sink. There are good pans to cook with, plates, glasses and silverware. There is a fire pit with Adirondack chairs. We provide dry firewood and kindling for our guests. Stargazing at night is amazing as there is no light pollution. Summers are wonderful with cool mountain breezes, nearby lakes and the Hudson River to swim, bathe or fish in. Fall is glorious with all the trees turning color. Let us know if you would like to book! Requested of donation of $8 each to cover the costs of firewood, dough and maintenance. Let us know if you plan to join us. The property is an easy scenic drive up 87 from NYC. If you arrive late, the house will be unlocked and lights on for you. ARCHITECTURAL NOTES: The cabin was designed and hand crafted by its owner Leslie and her small team of tradesmen during the winter of 2018. The rugged primitive siding was harvested from on-site cedar trees, and the knotty pine interior trim was locally sourced. The cabin is not set a top the highest point of the land, where it would be fully exposed, but partway down, allowing the woods behind to form privacy and to shelter the house. Gaze out at the wildness of the site from a sheltered spot. MORE ABOUT THE PROPERTY: Since 1910, my family has owned 8 acres of land on the upper part of the land. When my great-grandparents built the original camp (Bird Camp), there were gorgeous views looking all the way down to the Hudson River. Then when people stopped owning grazing animals, and as it then became expensive to keep the meadows mowed, the trees grew up and the views were all lost. When 32 acres of land below us became available several years ago, with financial help from my brother, I purchased the land and over several winters, I had the property strategically logged to open up again the beautiful south and east facing views of Gore Mountain, Moxham Mountain and the Hudson River below. Originally I intended to return to my former business life I'd led downstate and to build vacation homes for sale. As things have worked out, my plan now is to build simple beautiful rental cabins and retain the property for retirement income, and so that I might leave an income producing estate to my daughters. I had a wonderful winter of 2018 working with my small crew to build this camp. By December, the framers had completed the structure, the windows were in and I was able to keep warm with temporary heat all winter as we spent months happily finishing the inside of the "camp."
North River is such a beautiful, wonderful place! Picturesque, romantic, Adirondacks at its best ... People are always amazed at how beautiful our family property is ... I am very blessed to own this place, and enjoy sharing it with others.
  • Our stay was lovely! Wish we could have stayed longer and definitely will be coming back! I already miss Sammy!!

  • The cabin was precious! You wake up to a beautiful view, of the mountains, right outside the window. Quiet and private location, for some R&R. Pizza night and the hot tub, were a wonderful addition, to our stay

  • This is an awesome little cabin in an awesome location, with everything you need, perfect for 2 people.

    Robert2019-10-09T00:00:00Z
  • My husband and I were only able to spend one night at Leslie’s cabin, but we could imagine spending a week there! It is so cozy, and has everything you need! The views are stunning!

    David2019-10-07T00:00:00Z
  • This place was beautiful (!), especially since we were there at the absolute peak of foliage behind the cabin and all over the area!! :-O Very cozy and loved seeing the deer behind the house, basking in the sun. Used the window seat a LOT, and so glad you included it when building the cabin!

    Joanne2019-10-06T00:00:00Z
  • Leslie is a wonderful host! She responded immediately to our last minute request to book with her. The cottage was adorable, warm and cozy with many lovely touches. The natural hot tub was definitely a treat after our wedding weekend. I highly recommend this beautiful place!!

In the heart of the Adirondacks in upstate NY . A beautiful four season camp on Lake Abanakee . The camp is adorned with Adirondack art and furnishings made by my artisan friends and I. • This cabin was amazing. The listings doesn’t show how amazing this place really is. It was so spacious and welcoming. Absolutely recommend this to anyone I ever hear talking about going to the Adirondaks. Host were supper friendly and helpful.

  • The place is clean, beautifully decorated and comfortable. It was a privilege to enjoy their wonderful, cozy place.

  • Absolute gem! Peaceful, clean, quiet. I can’t say enough great things about this place. We will be back for sure!

    Sarah2019-10-20T00:00:00Z
  • There aren't enough good words to describe this Adirondack paradise. The communication with Robert was outstanding, responsive, and thorough, and the cabin ... stunning in every respect. It is warm, welcoming, homey, and made us feel as if we could stay for months, even though we had only booked for 2 nights. The setting is quiet, peaceful, serene and the break that we both needed badly. Robert and Carolyn have outdone themselves with their cabin, including both indoor and outdoor details. We especially enjoyed taking a canoe out around the lake, walking the roads near the house, and enjoying coming back in from a brisk time outside to the warm stove in the living room. Every room was filled with intriguing, artistic touches and items that were thoroughly enjoyed and savored. We just can't say enough good things about their place, and most definitely WILL be back to visit when we can. If I could give it 10 Stars, I certainly would !

    David2019-10-10T00:00:00Z
  • The cabin is clean and the décor is very "Adirondack" without being over the top. Beautiful view of Lake Akanabee. Great spot for kayaking, canoeing, hiking, relaxing. The wi-fi works just fine, but the best thing to do here is unplug.

    Edward2019-09-27T00:00:00Z
  • The photos do not do this place justice! I had a great weekend there with my friends (a family of four). Plenty of space for us all, very clean, and a beautiful view.

    Katie2019-09-22T00:00:00Z
  • The ultimate Adirondacks getaway! Beautifully decorated (every room is like a treasure hunt-how many Adirondacks designs can you spot?), lake-front (with kayaks and canoes for guests to enjoy!), fire pit under the stars, all the comforts you need for your stay. Highly recommend!

  • A stay at Dan’s is always wonderful. The cabin is welcoming, comfortable and clean and has everything you need for a pleasant stay. The design of the spaces is such that you can really appreciate the beauty of the woods. This is my first visit in the winter and it was great to arrive to a plowed driveway and a warm cabin!

    Janet2020-02-20T00:00:00Z
  • Just returned from a weekend at Dan’s cabin, very cosy and comfortable, great for a family and not too far from Gore Mountain, we would definitely return.

    Rob2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • Clean and comfy! Dan was super responsive and shared lots of great tips. Well stocked kitchen and perfect for a family.

    Jessica2020-02-09T00:00:00Z
  • Really great space, lots of beds and the sauna is great and it is super easy to get to gore mountain from here. Dan was super helpful with providing directions to the cabin as when you get close there is no service and also provided a lot of great information about the area! Also the sauna was a great perk to have post snowboarding all day!

    Joseph2020-01-26T00:00:00Z
  • We really enjoyed Dan's cabin in the woods. It was convenient to Gore Mountain skiing and Garnet Hill cross country ski facility. We enjoyed the sauna and the toasty wood stove.

    Melanie2020-01-20T00:00:00Z
  • This is a lovely, rustic home that is extremely clean and definitely feels lived in - lots of family photos :) Our family of five stayed here to ski for several days at Gore. The town road to the house has some potholes, so be cautious. Google mapped it exactly right, so it's pretty easy to find! There are four single beds and one queen; the queen is in the same room as two of the singles, and the upstairs has two more singles. You can push the single beds together, but they're not quite the same height so it's not exactly like sleeping in a queen. There are four thermostats, so you will stay toasty if you wish. There is a dishwasher and a washer/dryer, both of which we used while there. There is also a lovely sauna, which is a great perk. There is no television - well, there is, but it's one of the VERY old school ones from the 80s. :D The WiFi works well, so just bring a laptop and stream if you want to watch tv. The home has plenty of pots, pans, dishes, towels, etc. It has a lovely Adirondack feel, and we're very happy we stayed here. Thank you!

    Petra2020-01-03T00:00:00Z
  • That’s such a lovely private place: private, spacious. There is a pool table! And the wood burning stoves... the place is set to cook. And close to the lodge if you’d rather eat out. We really enjoyed this cabin.

    Marina2019-12-24T00:00:00Z
  • Tucked away in nature. Perfect balance between cozy and plenty of space. Using the sauna was an excellent perk!

You can meet the locals at the lodge's small tavern with a wonderful fireplace. The lodge restaurant serves local trout!
  • Shasta’s place is lovely with lots of great games, puzzles, and books. It feels like it has a lot of history and character. It’s location is ideal for cross country skiers, and Garnet Hill is a gem.

    Mary2020-02-21T00:00:00Z
  • What a perfect location for Garnet xc skiers ... it is literally right on a trail that is just a few hundred feet from the ski shop, and just a 7 minute snowshoe on the ski trail the their lodge Yet it is very private and in the woods The layout of this place is very cool - the loft that opens to the living room was my favorite We plan to return... we are avid skiers and this place couldn’t meet our needs better

    Regina2020-02-12T00:00:00Z
  • Great cabin

    Kevin2020-02-09T00:00:00Z
  • Perfect Location in Garnet Hill. Private but just up a small hill from the ski shop. Very comfortable and warm, both the temperature and decor. I have loved Garnet Hill in every season for over 30 years, and this house is just the right size and layout for 2-4 adults (plus a few kids). I will definitely rent again

    Susan2020-01-22T00:00:00Z
  • We had a great time at Shasta’a cabin. The location is unbeatable. And we got almost everything we need for our stay. Cannot wait to come back in the near future.

    Juan2020-01-02T00:00:00Z
  • Shasta is an excellent host! Was super helpful, always kept the communication to be sure that everything was good, was like family. The place is gorgeous, amazing windows to the forest. The 3 days we were there, we don't even used the car, we did a lot of hiking, snow shoeing, was so much fun! you can find a lot of games at home, my daughter has so happy to play with all of it. Was really nice and relaxing.

    Luisa2019-12-30T00:00:00Z
  • Ritreata cabin is a warmly decorated gem in the Adirondacks. I loved the privacy of the trees on all sides, while being a short walk to the trailheads. If you’re looking for a secluded place to take in extraordinary fall foliage, look no more. Pick up some firewood on the way in and enjoy a bonfire out back. My favorite thing was definitely pulling out the reclining lawn chair and watching a meteor shower in the front lawn. When the lights go out this close to wilderness reserve, the night sky is dazzling. It would have been really easy to rent mountain bikes as the shop is at the bottom of the driveway. While the bathroom is renovated new, the cottage clearly has history as a special place for the Jensen’s. Thank you Shasta & all

    Nick2019-10-27T00:00:00Z
  • Ritreata exceeded all our expectations for a "base camp" during our week in the Adirondacks. Clean, warm, comfortable and only steps away from the trailhead. Shasta was a pleasure to communicate with, and could be reached easily. Thanks for sharing your wonderful cabin with us... hope to visit again soon!

The Spruce, at Camp Driftwood, is a bright and breezy cabin overlooking Indian Lake.

You venture out into this amazing natural realm from our 900 feet of lake shore, using the kayaks, canoes, rowboats and sunfish that are all provided free of charge. Or, you can simply plunge into the sparkling, clear waters for a refreshing swim. Enjoy the cool evenings around a campfire. Firewood is also. provided free of charge. The cabin has a fully equipped kitchen and a screened in porch
  • The spruce was outstanding ! The view, the cabin and our host. Everything was beautiful.

    Yimara2019-09-23T00:00:00Z
  • This is a typical rustic Adirondack experience. The cabin is cozy, it's nice to have the option of putting a fire in the woodstove on a chilly Fall night. The hosts are very friendly but non-intrusive. They were flexible with our late-ish arrival (8:30 pm) and offered a late check-out because the cabin wasn't booked the next day. Beds were not super comfortable but they weren't terrible either. Would definitely stay again.

    Jane2019-09-15T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful serene space that we fell in love with . My wife and I hope to start a new tradition by coming up every year

At the edge of a wildflower meadow with mountain views, this beautifully furnished glamping tent has a king-size water bed, sofa and private deck. Each tent has a kitchenette in the Lodge. There is a sweet new Bath House. Enjoy wood-fired pizza and our new all natural wood hot tub. Get fresh eggs from our henhouse. 40 acres of meadows, woods, pond, streams and trails. Nightly bonfires, star gazing, a nearby lake and rafting in the Hudson River below. Golf cart service to your tent.
We have four glamping tents, Glamp Richard, Glamp Suzanne, Glamp Bernice and Glamp Thomas which are spaciously set apart for privacy yet an easy walk to the Bath House and the Lodge where each glamping tent has its own kitchenette. The tents have a “fly” over them so they stay remarkably cool during the day and completely waterproof. At night, zip up the canvas windows and doors, and stay cozy under handmade feather quilts. The new Bath House has a women’s side with two toilets, a shower and double vanity with glass vessel sinks; ditto for the men’s side. In the nearby Lodge, there is also a lovely new bathroom with an old-fashion claw foot tub where you can enjoy a deep bath with lavender salts. We provide nice towels and soap. In the Lodge, there are individual kitchenettes for each of our four glamping tents. It has a sink, one burner cooktop, coffee maker, compact refrigerator, dishes, cutting board, glasses, utensils, napkins and basics of salt, pepper, sugar. Bring your own coffee and cream. There are open shelves for you to store your groceries. Outside are several charcoal grills and a gas grill. We provide charcoal and lighter fluid. We spent the fall and winter of 2019 building an amazing all natural cedar hot tub. Located on one of the most beautiful spots of our land, our new Japanese wood hot tub is a delightful treat for our guests. Built within a small post and beam temple-like structure with gorgeous views of the mountains beyond and wildflowers below, our spa tub is a wonderful way to relax during your stay. $25 for an hour’s retreat of happiness. Most nights in the summer, we offer wood fired pizza. Here’s how it works. We make and provide the dough, and guests bring their own toppings. We fire up the wood-fired pizza in the late afternoon. By six, the wood fire has died down and the oven is about 800 degrees. Starting around six o’clock and ending about eight, guests come to the pizza pavilion with their toppings and we help them cook their pizzas. Because the oven is so hot, the pizzas cook in about three minutes. Lots of fun! Oh, most toppings should be sautéed in advance since the cooking time in the oven is so short. (Requested donation of $8 / $5 for children to cover costs of firewood, dough, etc). At dusk, we get the bonfire going so guests can relax in hand-built Adirondack chairs to watch the fire and the stars. There is no “light pollution” so it is an amazing experience to see thousands of stars, night clouds, moonscapes. Enjoy getting your breakfast eggs from the henhouse. Our flock of chickens and ducks are fun to watch as they free range all over the property. The ducklings enjoy it when there is fresh water run into their little swimming pool --- they are so joyous when they’re in water. The ducks are sweet but shy away from people (oh no! humans!). Unlike the chickens that wander all day and come back together to the coop only to sleep, the ducks are co-dependent and stick together all the time; if one duck is separated, they all quack until they get back together. So yes, country life can be noisy with the chickens cackling and the ducks quacking! And of course there is Sammy Dog, a lab/shepherd mix, who bounds around the property, visiting all our guests, laying down on the porch and steps waiting for people to come home. Be careful coming down the driveway because he sometimes leaps unexpectedly in front of cars all goofy and happy. He can come in and even sleep over if you want (just send us a text message so we know where he is). Our cabins are set up for visiting dogs, but unfortunately we cannot host dogs in the tents. The lake is three miles down the winding road …13th Lake it is called and it is just beautiful. Totally natural and quiet with no sign of civilization on its shores. The Hudson River is at the bottom of our mountain; clear beautiful water; you go tubing or rafting with the various rafting companies located right nearby. The town of North Creek is five miles away off the main Route 28 road but it’s easy to miss so look for the 3 or 4 signs that mark the entrance to “town”. North Creek is a scenic little town with some great restaurants, a grocery store, liquor store, some shopping places and a scenic train called the Saratoga/North Creek Railroad which takes folks in antique train cars along the Hudson River. Another great experience is nearby Garnet Hill Lodge, an historic lodge offering lunches and dinners … beautiful property, amazing views, great food. It’s located right up the road in North River. They rent mountain bikes and have all kinds of walking trails. Lots and lots more to do … check our online Guide Book for more suggestions! So .... Enjoy amazing mountain day views and glorious stargazing by night ... this might be the most special vacation you’ve ever had! Quiet and tranquil … safely and privately located at the edge of our Hobby Farm where you can enjoy a beautiful tent, ducks and chickens, and sweet lab dog. If you're looking for additional space, we have other cottages on the property as well ... Authentic Adirondack Bird Camp which has two bedrooms, Farmstand Guest House. Camp Hudsonview and our newest Camp TwoSome (each with one bedroom), all of which are listed on this site.
We own 40 acres of land so it’s very private and quiet, and safe! We have open meadows to walk, woods to explore and even the road we’re on is wonderful for walking; you’ll pass by some wonderful old cemeteries and farmhouses.
  • This was a pleasant and peaceful getaway for my wife and I.

    Nolan2019-10-14T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful acres of land, beautiful well thought out, glamping tents. The lodge is a great place to cook, play games and enjoy with friends! We enjoyed the chickens and Sammy’s company and amazing wood-fried pizza from Leslie, plus the eggs for breakfast!!

  • Place is very beautiful full of nature beauty all around. Had a lovely time with my hubby. Hot tub experience was great and highly recommended if u visit this place.

  • I expected a lot from this AirBnB after viewing the posting... and it totally exceeded expectations! Our brief stay was packed with pizza, a campfire, chickens, and the beautiful Sento Spa. Leslie and Emeline were such warm and gracious hosts and made the experience truly memorable. This trip was too short, and I am now dying to get back! If you have the chance, definitely try some dessert pizza and take a much needed mini-vacation in the hot tub!

    Michael2019-09-15T00:00:00Z
  • Leslie’s camp was the best! Beautiful location and real fun experience “glamping”. The property has lovely touches — from the gorgeous flowers everywhere to the spa and wood oven pizza, everything was charming. And Leslie was a great accommodating host. She went out of her way to make my 18 month old son feel at home.

    Alyssa2019-09-14T00:00:00Z
  • This place was such a relaxing experience. I came here for a solo trip to get away from my hectic life and it went beyond all expectations! The property is GORGEOUS with rolling meadows and cute animals. The tent i stayed in had the comfiest bed and a porch overlooking the forest. The kitchen area had everything I needed to cook a meal and also the wood fired pizza at night was delicious, which was cooked in a big brick oven and you could bring your own toppings. I enjoyed how quiet it was and the Japanese bath house style private hot tub was well worth the money. This place was a gem and I would totally return again.

    Emma2019-08-31T00:00:00Z
  • We booked one of Leslie's glamping tents because we needed a place to stay for a wedding we were attending, and our only regret was that we couldn't spend more time on the property or in the North River area! This is the first AirBnB that made us both say "we would come back JUST to stay at this place again", so hopefully some day in the future we'll be back and have time to eat pizza or take advantage of the cedar spa! This is such a fun and unique experience, and everything was perfect. Even though it poured one night, the sound of the rain on the roof of the tent and the rumbling thunder was so soothing. We loved spending time with the various animals wandering around - the chickens are SO sweet and funny, and Sammy is such a friendly pup (but do heed the warning that she runs towards cars, even late at night!) The glamping tents themselves are super cool, not to mention spacious - the waterbed and its sea of pillows and blankets was a dream and it was so cool that our tent had a little front and back porch to relax on. You'll probably wonder what the shared bathrooms/showers are going to be like, but they are very clean and charming and even have space to keep your toiletries. Being in the area for a wedding I was also pleasantly surprised to find a makeup mirror in the bathroom as well! A lifesaver. We will definitely be back, for the unique and fun experience of the Hobby Farm itself, and for the little details that took it from "a great AirBnB experience" to "an AirBnB to come back to".

  • We took a quick snowmobile trip and found visiting with Lin a wonderful bonus. So gracious!

    John2020-02-21T00:00:00Z
  • Lin's place is an authentic Adirondack cabin...which is exactly what we were looking for. It is warm, cozy and welcoming. Lin is equally as warm and welcoming and makes a great host. Although Lin's place is a great value, it is eclipsed by what Lin brings to the table as a host. We had a great time and highly recommend her and her home. Ann & Jim Gedney

  • Lin’s cabin is warm and cozy and just what we expected and wanted for our ski weekend at Gore mountain. Lin is a gracious, well traveled and warm host who is a great conversationalist and who creates a welcoming and relaxed vibe for her guests. I highly recommend staying at her place. We can’t wait to come back and check out the area in summer!

  • The perfect place to stay on a trip to the Adirondacks. Close to XC and downhill ski centers!

  • Amazing host, a fire place, snow . One of my favorite stay

    Nicolas2019-12-09T00:00:00Z
  • Lin was probably the most hospitable airbnb host we have ever had. She welcomed us into her home like we were cousins that haven’t seen each other in a few years. Her dog Rudy was very fun and got along great with our pooch. Her conversations were interesting and exciting. Lin is a very intriguing woman with great stories and insights. The morning breakfast made it hard to leave. We will most definitely be back soon.

  • Great place. Enjoyed the wood stove and fireplace. Had everything you needed plus more!

    Michele2020-03-15T00:00:00Z
  • Lin’s place is the perfect spot for a quiet and relaxing getaway. We came up for a Saturday if skiing at Gore and a hike before hitting the road on Sunday. The cabin is conveniently located to both - only 10 minutes from Gore and surrounded by lots of great hiking options. The place was clean and cozy, the fireplace was great, and the fridge was nicely stocked with the essentials (some beer, water, eggs, etc) upon arrival, and Lin even left a bottle of wine for us to enjoy! Next time we are in the mood for an ADK getaway this will be where we stay!

    Eric2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • Lin's place was perfect for our weekend trip to Gore. Very spacious and comfortable for all of us, including the dog. Lin left us some wine, beer and food for breakfast! Highly recommend.

    Lisa2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • Adorable classic Adirondack style cottage...Lin made certain we were all set during our stay as well. The home is very cozy and clean. The wood stove and propane were more than adequate for heat. She leaves food for your first breakfast along with a sampling of local wines and beer. It is very close to both Garnet Hill and Gore Mountain for skiing. We are looking forward to our next stay! Food shopping is nearby as well in North Creek.

    Lisa2020-02-19T00:00:00Z
  • What a fantastic location for anyone who loves winter in the Adirondacks! Lin’s place is up Thirteenth Lake Road, about as close as you can get to the best cross-country skiing in the Northeast at Garnet Hill. Lin’s hospitality is above and beyond - the kitchen is stocked with everything you could want for breakfast, not to mention beverages and snacks when you arrive in the evening. There’s plenty of dry firewood for the open fireplace and the excellent woodstove, and Lin’s instructions for both are clear and complete. The two bedrooms are cozy and look out to the woods and the mountains. And throughout the house are photos and mementos of life outdoors, in the company of beloved animal companions. Thank you Lin, for a great stay; looking forward to returning.

    Joan2020-02-15T00:00:00Z
  • We very much enjoyed the cabin and Lin's thoughtfulness. There was wine, beer, coffee, and seltzer, as well as eggs, and other snacks that we could partake in. Plenty of firewood for the fireplace, as well. The house is bigger than we realized. The shower water was hot and pressure strong. We liked that we could bring the doggie. The cabin does share the driveway with another house next to it, but the opposite side of the yard is a bit more secluded. Close to cross-country skiing trails and rentals (short driving distance.) We were glad to choose Lin's cabin and felt welcomed there. Thank you, Lin.

    Michael2020-01-01T00:00:00Z
  • If you want to stay in a cozy, rustic cabin in a pretty part of the Adirondacks, this is your place. Lin was the most gracious of hosts—she sent photos of her home just to make sure we found it easily—and was super responsive to all of my queries. The cabin was immaculate, coffee, milk, eggs, beer, and wine were left for us to enjoy, and she even placed lavender sachets on all of our pillows to help us have a sound sleep. It was perfect for what we needed. Thank you, Lin, for a lovely stay!

Located in the heart of the Adirondack Mountains in Long Lake, NY. Camp has magnificent views of southern end of lake from the newly built front deck and from inside! It is 1 mile to the town center where there is a public beach with restrooms, restaurants, shopping, churches, seaplane rides, marina, state boat launch and town dock. The house has two bedrooms, 1 with a queen size bed and 1 with a double. There is an open living room and kitchen with dining space.
House is located on Emerson Road, which is a side dirt road which stems off Route 30 and comes back out to it. There are 3 residential homes on Emerson Road. The house sits on a hill and overlooks a marshy area where lots of birds and wild life can be seen. There is some highway noise, but the view, house and location make up for that. We rent weekends with a 2 night minimum, weekly, bi or tri weekly or a month or more. . .
Long Lake has several restaurants, a pizza place, a local craft brewery, Stewarts, public library, churches and post office. It is a very special place in the heart of the Adirondacks and the people are what make this town so special. In addition, nearby you will find Buttermilk Falls, hiking trails, fishing, swimming and almost anything that a lake community should have.
  • Very clean , nice place and Laura goes above and beyond for her guest and she is very helpful and the location is wonderful ... my boyfriend can’t wait to go back we would give more than 5 stars if we could

    Lisa2019-10-13T00:00:00Z
  • Great overall, as promised and described. Very convenient for our Central Adirondacks activities!

    Tom2019-09-08T00:00:00Z
  • As advertised, the cabin is quite small, but very clean and exactly what you would need for an Adirondack weekend! The fire pit is great and you have an awesome view of the stars from the front deck. They even provided a window fan in the Master bedroom! My only suggestion would be to bring extra bath towels/wash clothes and possibly an extra blanket if you are staying in late summer or fall. This place is adorable...and the price is right!

    Pamela2019-08-25T00:00:00Z
  • The cabin is true to it’s pictures. Beautiful view, close to shopping and restaurants and clean. It has a wonderful deck for viewing the lake, reading or lingering over a cup of coffee. There is a nice little area to have a fire as well. Will definitely book it again. Laura is very friendly and quick to respond to any questions.

    Carolyn2019-08-18T00:00:00Z
  • The view was as magnificent as it was described to be. The cabin was fresh and clean upon our arrival. All in all a comfortable, pleasant and affordable place to stay while in Long Lake.

    Ronda2019-08-11T00:00:00Z
  • Laura’s cabin provides a clean sturdy budget accommodation complete with a porch for viewing sunsets and listening to loons. The location is excellent within short drives for a diverse array of hikes and kayak/canoe trips, including designated wilderness areas. The cabin is pest proof with no signs of mice and the newer windows with good screens keep the bugs at bay. The kitchen is set up for some very basic cooking for two or three people. Check with the host beforehand about any specific kitchen tools you may need, as I think Laura and her husband are still equipping this new listing. Self-check-in with a lockbox was easy and Laura, who we did not personally meet, responds quickly to questions. The cabin provides lots of privacy. Yes, you hear road noise but it’s not an issue. There is only one neighbor that you might hear and they’re pretty quiet. From the porch, you don’t see any neighbors. We enjoyed our stay and hope to return in the future.

  • We had a wonderful time at Rose and Bruce's place in cottage number four!! It was an incredibly beautiful setting, and we cooked out and had a fire each night we were there. Our only regret is that we couldn't stay longer!

    Mary2019-07-13T00:00:00Z
  • Cute little cabin with plenty or room for 4 people, six would have been doable but a little crowded with the pull out couch. Kitchen worked great and the charcoal grill was also nice for burgers and hotdogs. Be sure to bring charcoal if you want to grill. Two minute walk down the hill to the lake and a nice little beach area. Bruce was very friendly and suggested a few hikes for us.

    Jennfier2018-10-09T00:00:00Z
  • Rose and Bruce's place is wonderful--right on the lake, beautiful grounds, and close to the village. Gracious hosts, very responsive. Cottage #4 was cozy; had a lovely screened in porch perfect for breakfast. Charming and quiet. We look forward to returning.

  • These cottages are a great find, nestled on the shores of Indian Lake. It was great for 4 of us and our dogs. We walked down to the beach for a quick dip and rented a boat from the marina conveniently next door to allow us to explore this beautiful location. • We've been coming to ADK for 7 years... and this has been our favorite trip by far! Ron and Robin's cabin is the perfect place to stay for a great getaway. The cabin sits in a great location which is a short walk from Indian Lake, and a short drive from several great trail heads. Each night we found ourselves talking with the locals as everyone around the neighborhood was very friendly (and quiet during the evening hours!!). We really appreciated the great communication with the hosts prior to arrival. Since the cabin was ready a day early, they offered the opportunity to check in when we were ready at no extra cost. My wife and I both felt that this went above and beyond being a gracious host and we will not hesitate to book this cabin again if we are lucky enough to reserve it before someone else does! :)

++ A message about Covid-19. I have intentionally blocked reservations until Memorial Day 2020 to keep Evergreen Lodge from having Covid-19 exposure. I will assess the situation as it continues to evolve. Safe travels- Joan Its an outdoor paradise in Indian Lake and our cozy cabin is ready! Inviting year-round Adirondack living space with scenic views. Sleeps 6-8. Private access to Cedar River with easy snowmobile trail access. In the heart of the Adirondack Park.
This property was built by my family and has always been in our family. The building was originally built in the 1950's but has been updated. It has normal wear and tear of an adirondack place. Though it is clean and comfortable it is not a five star hotel. It is a space you can relax and enjoy a true adirondack experience.
There are few riverside properties in Cedar River. It is a protected scenic river- meaning it has limited development.
  • We spent an amazing Thanksgiving break in Joan's cabin. The cabin is really big, everything we needed was provided (especially for cooking), the decoration was lovely and the surroundings beautiful. We will definitely come back !

    Emmanuelle2019-12-01T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful and quaint cabin. Amazing views right along the Cedar River. Private and tucked away yet so close to town and Indian Lake

  • An excellent retreat with an uncanny view and wonderful accommodations - super clean for city folk like myself who are afraid of anything in ‘nature’ and just a pleasure to wake up in - make sure to read the plaque under the mounted dear head to get a sense of most likely the owner’s sensibilities - was just me and my wife but could have probably fit my entire extended family and a local circus comfortably - thanks!

In summer and fall, take a hike in the wilderness area, enjoy the private beach on Thirteenth Lake, or launch your canoe or kayak for a peaceful paddle. Thirteenth Lake is a beautiful wilderness lake for boating, fishing, and swimming. You can see loons as you explore its nooks and crannies! Nearby Garnet Hill Lodge offers restaurant and pub. This part of the Adirondacks offers many more activities, including many family-friendly actvities.
  • Nice private cabin close to Garnett Hill. Well appointed and organized. Communication was easy.

  • Beautiful place, nestled in the woods and snow, nicely secluded. Presidents Day weekend started of really cold, but the wood burning stove kept us cozy and warm. The house has stunning views and the road up there it self is so pretty too. 13th Lake is great to visit and walk around. We spend our days skiing at Gore Mountain which is a 18 minute drive from the house. Rebecca is quick to respond and left little notes throughout the house to explain how everything worked or where to find it. The listing is accurate and the view from the loft is just as beautiful as in the pictures. 1 thing to note for families with younger children, the masterbedroom is upstairs, the other 2 bedrooms are in the lower level, with the familyroom, leaving the living and kitchen in between. If you would like to sleep close to your kids, you´re better of all sleeping downstairs.

    Esther2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • Rebecca was a wonderful host. Very easy to communicate with, we enjoyed our stay.

    Jill2020-02-07T00:00:00Z
  • Had a weekend ski trip with 3 couples and one single and Rebecca’s place was perfect. Beautifully nestled in the woods and super cozy feeling. It snowed one night while we were there and we were a bit concerned about getting out of the driveway, but it was plowed before everyone was even awake! Would happily stay there again.

    Emily2020-01-26T00:00:00Z
  • Tucked in the woods, it's a short walk to trails for hiking or cross country skiing and there are plenty of maps in the house. The kitchen is very well equipped, and the wood burning stove keeps it cozy. Thank you Rebecca!

    Molly2020-01-21T00:00:00Z
  • Wonderful house with stunning views of woods and sky throughout. There is a trail leading one of the most beautiful lakes we’ve ever seen. We happily lit fires in the wood stove at night, baked pies in a kitchen that had everything we could possibly need, and grilled lunches at the grill in the covered grill porch. Just sitting outside soaking up the surrounding nature was memorable. Great vacation.

    Greta2019-09-21T00:00:00Z
  • We took our family of five for a week of Adirondack living. Our stay was amazing. By the first day we were making our plans to come back. This was the perfect place for us to see and do the things we'd been dreaming of for the last ten years. Within a walk or short drive we were able to swim and canoe in a pristine mountain lake, hike to the peak of a mountain for sunrise, and eat dinner at a lodge near a burning fire-pit while a classic rock band played cover songs and a silver-haired group of slightly tipsy birding enthusiasts danced together. On the one rainy day we lit a fire in the wood stove and experimented with a lentil stew in the open kitchen while the kids worked on one of the puzzles we found in the house. I have only good things to say about the house and the surrounding area.

    Samuel2019-08-25T00:00:00Z
  • We enjoyed our week at Rebecca's place. The proximity to Thirteenth Lake was great. There were no surprises and everything was as described. Would definitely come back again!

Adirondack cottage with lake access. Tucked into a lakeside association on Loon Lake, this comfortable home offers all the experiences you look for in a summer Adirondack vacation. Walk to the two association beaches, or 60 second drive to the lake's only public beach. Surrounded by trees, take in the sights and sounds while sitting on the porch, second story deck, or around the fire pit. I am less than an hour away and eager to address any needs you may have. No separate cleaning fee.
Open living room and dining room, with natural pine ceiling and lots of light. Dining table easily seats 10. Bedrooms are darker, with lower (7')ceilings. Master bedroom and one full bathroom on upper floor. The other two bedroom are downstairs with their own full bathroom. No tubs, showers only in each, with both fixed and handheld showerheads. Both floors have an exterior entrance. Full kitchen with oven/stove; microwave; dishwasher; toaster; coffee maker; dishes and glassware. Also a popcorn air popper; toaster oven; blender; pots and pans. Small propane grill on the porch, and a table that seats 6. Metal fire pit on the front lawn with Adirondack style chairs. Wood for fire pit provided. I always keep one night vacant between guests to allow proper cleaning/disinfecting.
5 minutes from the highway (I-87), literally just one turn off the exit ramp and one turn to the cottage. Great information center halfway between, with maps, brochures, and great suggestions. Quaint town of Chestertown 4 minutes away with shops and restaurants - you can walk the whole length of main street. Deli / Market 1 minute drive. Grocery store 4 minute drive. Extended hours convenience store and Dollar Store 5 minutes drive. The marina is less than two miles away, and offers rentals of boats, kayaks, and SUPs. Lake George Village, with it's nightlife and activities, is 25 minutes away.
  • Ray is an excellent host with a beautiful cabin. Everything that was mentioned and more was included. We had no shortage of things do to due to the material Ray left us, and he responded promptly whenever we had a question. We had absolutely nothing to complain about and were quite pleased with the spaciousness of the cabin. Thank you for a wonderful vacation!

Units 1 or 2 are half the double cabin you see on my other listings. Sleeps 4 with a private bedroom, bathroom, living room and a fully equipped kitchenette. Each have Wifi & Direct TV, outdoor grill & fire pit. All cabins are in the Adirondack Rustic Style and are cozy and comfortable. Just an FYI- there are many, many lakes around us, over 30 nearby but we ARE NOT lakefront property. We are open year round. If you like the outdoors this is the place to be.
We actually have 4 cabin rentals that can accommodate up to 28 people. See other listings.
There are over 30 lakes within a 45 minute drive from our property. The Wild Center, Adirondack Museum, Enchanted Forest (water park) are wonderful family attractions. The rounding lands are a 6 million acre preserve, dedicated by the Adirondack Park Association as "forever wild". A pristine haven for outdoor adventures.
  • Great destination for snowmobiling. Direct trail access and plenty of parking space for our trailer. The area of blue mountain lake is absolutely stunning. Our cabin was very clean and our host Lenny was extremely helpful. We will be back!

    Kerri2020-02-10T00:00:00Z
  • Unit two is small and simple. Great for a couple looking for a getaway. Bathroom is located off bedroom and leaves for no privacy while in bed if staying here with friends. Owners are very friendly and accommodating. Location is really nice with lakes and snowmobile trails right near the property. Beautiful country!

    Wayne2020-01-26T00:00:00Z
  • This was the perfect “home base” for our winter weekend of ice fishing and hiking/snow shoeing. Quick access to Lake Durant and Blue Mountain Lake, and a short drive to Adirondack Lake and Indian Lake for fishing. Less than an hour drive for access to the Tupper Lake Triad for hiking. Amenities were as promised, and Lenny did an excellent job quickly responding to my many questions as they related to things to do in the area as well as the accommodations themselves. Almost hesitant to post this for fear of wanting to keep the place a secret for myself! Highly recommend!

    Lindsay2020-01-20T00:00:00Z
  • Our stay with Lenny and Boka was extraordinarily nice. Their wonderful hospitality and the striking beauty of the surrounding nature made us want to stay much longer. The cottage itself was clean and the kitchen was well equipped. We really hope to come back at some point and stay at Blue Mountain Rest again.

  • Cozy cabin located near the Adirondack Experience was clean & had all the conveniences we needed: fully equipped kitchen, large bedroom & attached bath with shower, lounge with 2 sofas & TV with HBO (which really pleased my husband!). The cabin was clean, had extra towels (always a plus), plenty of blankets. Hosts very friendly & have great advice for local venues. Definitely recommend you stay here!

  • This is an absolute gem. The house and grounds are spectacular. The view is magnificent. The area wonderful. We have had such a relaxing family time. We didn’t want to leave. Also, Glen is a very responsive host.

  • Tower Hill Lodge was a great place for our family-ages 20 months to 66 years-to get together. We loved the private road to walk on during the day, along with the quick access to town, deck area to relax, and the fire pit with wood to wrap up the day. Thanks for helping make this a great vacation!!!!

    D2019-07-19T00:00:00Z
  • We loved our stay at Glen's home. The location was perfect, not too far from town but far enough to feel like a true getaway. The view from the home is breathtaking and so is the hiking nearby. Thanks again for having us!

    Christopher2019-06-25T00:00:00Z
  • Views were spectacular. The house was welcoming and nicely equipped. We had a large party and we were able to sleep everyone comfortably. The host responded quickly when I had questions and provided great local tips.

    Jim2019-05-27T00:00:00Z
  • This house is exactly as described. First thing I noticed was the overall cleanliness of the house and the spectacular view. Home just happens to sit above a scenic overlook. With all the screens in my family’s faces these days its nice to find a view that can distract us from our devices. Inidan Lake is a small town but has all the needed amenities for a fun family getaway. We spent our days skiing at Gore which is only 16 miles south.

Tastefully furnished, full kitchen, wi-fi, auto door garage. While the house can sleep up to 6 people, there is an extra fee per person per night for groups larger than 4 people.
This is a cool house with craftsmanship evidenced everywhere you look. The porch off the kitchen is a beautiful sitting nook, there's a large cedar deck for gatherings, and flower gardens surround the house. The auto-door garage is convenient for the winter season. The kitchen has a new stove, island for food prep, and is fully equipped. A nice space for a Blue Mt. Lake family gathering.
Quiet neighborhood with few neighbors. Easy walk to town and public town beach. No access to snowmobile trails.

  • Anyone looking at the Central Adirondacks for a vacation should stay here. You will feel like you are living in your own home with abundant special touches too many to mention but here are a few: child and family friendly with a well equipped doll house and a library of board games, nightlights in every room of the house, a pre-laid fire in the woodstove ready to be lit, and by far the most well equiped kitchen of any airbnb I have ever seen.

    Tom2019-12-31T00:00:00Z
  • Always a relaxing place to go! This has become our family tradition to stay over the holiday weekend, 5th year in a row. Great place to unplug and slow down, with lots of cozy touches.

    Amanda2019-12-01T00:00:00Z
  • Jamie’s house is the perfect home base for exploring the Adirondacks. The kitchen is well appointed for cooking big meals. The beds were very comfortable and warm. The living room was very cozy. Everything in the house is easy to find thanks to expert labeling.

  • This was our second stay with Jamie. Words can't really describe how nice her place is. Our teen age son brought a couple of his friends and they had a great time too. • This cabin was a great location for a weekend up in the Adirondacks. We had a wonderful time and would go again!

    Luke2019-10-27T00:00:00Z
  • We loved this cabin! Pleasantly secluded and peaceful with a lovely location right by a stream, which was very soothing. The home itself was cozy and comfortable. Our doggo loved it too and felt right at home exploring the property. The cabin had everything one might need, especially in the kitchen, where we did plenty of cooking. We enjoyed that a lot. The cabin is certainly rustic and seems to have been in a family for many years, and it shows (in a good way) - lots of character! There's no cell signal or wifi, which we wanted and expected, but just as a heads up for others. Thanks so much!!

    Diane2019-09-06T00:00:00Z

  • My stay at Colleen's cabin was amazingly peaceful. They had a lot more amenities available than expected. Like a full bathroom with a hot shower and a full stove and fridge to store food in. It was just on the edge of the wilderness so you could feel like you could unwind and relax while still being close to local shops for groceries or wine. I loved the location right by the creek and how homey the cabin felt. I felt right at home and would definitely look to stay again!

    Rhianna2019-07-01T00:00:00Z
  • Our stay was better than expected. Here is what to expect: Access to the cabin is by bridge. Parking is on the side of the road by the bridge entrance. The hosts are kind and very informative of the area. The sound of the brook is soothing and you can open the windows to hear it all day. Excellent location for hiking and trails. 5 minutes away from stores if you forgot something. Cabin has full kitchen, laundry, bathroom, skylight, and plenty of beds. No cell service, enjoy the privacy and forget about time. Experience camping with the convenience of a cozy log cabin!

  • Lin hosts the PERFECT rustic and cozy pine-cabin experience with heaps of hospitality!

    Paige2019-10-14T00:00:00Z
  • It is easy to see why Lin has been rated a 'super host'. You could not fault her airbnb and the care she takes to look after her guests. She has a great deal of local knowledge and a passionate commitment to the beautiful Adirondacks, the spirit of which she captures within her 'camp'. The building was one familiar to be having spent summers 60 ago just a short walk away. The neighbourhood kids all hung out together, including the original owners of Lin's place. So it was a marvellous walk down memory lane. So Lin, thanks for the hospitality extended to my nephew. I wholeheartedly recommend Lin's airbnb as comfy accomodation in North River to anyone seeking a real Adirondack experience.

  • This was a perfect winter retreat! It was exactly as advertised and Lynn was great about getting in touch and providing very clear and easy directions for checking in and checking out. We walked to Garnet Hill to XC ski and Gore Mtn was an easy drive for downhill. The house is well appointed and comfortable for two families to cook, play games, and have separate spaces. Beautiful scenery and area too!

  • Lynn and Brian were great hosts! The place was cozy and warm and well lit when we arrived. It’s extremely spacious. Though there was only two of us there was plenty of room for more. Lots of extra amenities. And plenty of things to do that don’t involve being plugged in. A great Christmas getaway. Thanks to Lynn and Brian!

  • Wonderful location in quiet, wooded community with too many hiking paths to count! Large well-equipped home.

  • Lynn's place was even better than expected. Beautiful cabin in a peaceful area of the adk. It was perfect for the large group we had. Would stay again in a heartbeat.

This single room is light and airy. It is apart of the Blue Mountain Lake Inn an is across the street from the Blue Mountain public beach and is walking distance from the Arts Center, boat livery and tennis courts. Guests have access to a common living and dinning room, a guest refrigerator and an outdoor grill. Breakfast is serve at a time of your requesting.
  • The Blue Mountain Inn is in an excellent location and the inn keeper is really a delight, helping with local tips and genuinely liking her role and having conversations with guests. The inn is right in Blue Mountain Lake; if you are looking to do hikes and be in this area, it is one of the few opportunities you have. Close to Sawyer, Blue Mountain, the museum, Long Lake and Hoss' country store, etc. The inn advertises itself accurately. It is an old inn, with its charm, and also it shows wear. I would describe it as quirky and historic, nothing fancy. It is comfortable and the inn keeper is great, and responsive. Breakfast is filling with yogurt, pancakes, bacon, and a homemade quiche each day. Read the description and see the photos. If you are looking for something fancy this is not it; if you are looking for a comfortable place to stay this is it. It's like visiting your relatives in an old farm house. You don't expect it to be perfect and find the charm. I will definitely come back here. The side porch, by the way, is amazing, especially at night as they lit it up. They even put a heater there for people like me who want to be outside at night and enjoy the surroundings and read a book.

  • The kindest hosts I’ve encountered — thank you so much for your hospitality!!

  • My stay was one night only but the experience was nice. Nice open patio was a great outdoor spot to enjoy the afternoon. The small beach access right across the street was also nice to enjoy the sunset.

  • Charming Inn right next to Blue Mountain Lake and Deborah is a great host. Relaxed and social vibe, with beautiful porch area overlooking the water. Fantastic breakfast in a genuine setting!

Authentic log cabin on gorgeous Lake Pleasant. 3 acres of privacy. 2 Kayaks and 2 paddleboards, firepit, grill, binoculars and spotting scope supplied. Lots of wildlife has been seen out front! House sits on 3 acres of wooded lakefront, very private and romantic spot, perfect for one or two couples, or up to 4 friends. Lots of hiking, waterfalls and other lakes in the area.
Classic Log Cabin with total privacy on 3 lakefront acres. Huge wrap around porch and lakeside gazebo for relaxing, bbqing and enjoying the view. The second bedroom is ultra private, it's in a seperate "glamping" cottage with queen bed, chandelier and amazing views. Hiking, kayaking, swimming, boating, waterfalls all out front or nearby. Enjoy that first cup of coffee on the wrap around deck while the song birds welcome in the day, then breakfast on the lakeside gazebo while spotting the beavers, eagles, otters and mergansers frequently seen out front. Kayak or paddle board onto beautiful Lake Pleasant and take a dip in the clear waters. Nightime is for star gazing, roasting marshmallows and telling tall tales around the firepit. 2 sets of binoculars, a spotting scope, 2 kayaks and 2 stand up paddle boards with life preservers are provided. Hiking, road trips, museums, tennis, golf, dinners out and lots of other fun stuff are available nearby...but you may choose to never leave the seclusion of this property. One recent guest told us that "we felt like we were dropped into a fairy tale land". You will have access to 2 cabins. The log cabin has a fireplace, full kitchen, bathroom and sleeping loft with one double and two twin beds. The wrap around porch is furnished with adirondack chairs, dining table, grill, cool night lighting and one truly magnificent view. The second cabin is about 100 feet from the log cabin. This sweet cottage has a luxurious queen bed, chandelier designed for the ultimate "glamping" experience! The view from here is picture perfect. This can be used as your master bedroom or as a luxury second bedroom. We supply nice bedding and linens, bath mats, kitchen and hand towels, but we do ask guests to bring their own beach and bath towels. What's to LOVE about this property? Ultimate Privacy (a rare find on the waterfront!), Views, Wildlife, Cuteness, Uniqueness and Plenty of Room to Roam on and around the property and on the lake. We really do all we can to assure that you will have the ultimate ADK experience here. What might you NOT love? Our lakefront is accessible for launching the kayaks and paddleboards, but is not good for swimming. To swim you take the kayaks down a short path (50 feet) to the lake and swim off of them. There is no washer/dryer here. We do not have a/c (rarely needed), but we do provide fans for those warmer days. Also, RECYCLES are not picked up by the town, so guests must agree to take home your bottles and cans...or you can take them to the recycle center yourselves before you leave which is nearby. Sorry in advance for the hassle, but we can't rent this house without guests taking on that responsibility. Exact instructions found in the cabin. No pets or smoking on property. Due to our close proximity to the lake, we have a sensitive septic system and limited well water. Please be gentle with both. As a result, this property cannot to be used for family reunions, parties or entertaining. No more than 4 people to be here at any time. We just bought and renovated this, so we have very few reviews, but see our other properties for guests experience with us! If this sounds good to you, send an email with your requested dates.
Lake Pleasant is in the Southern Adirondack Mountains, the area is surrounding by other lakes, mountains, hiking and waterfalls. The amazing ADK Museum is a 40 minute drive. Southern ADK's are within driving distance for a weekend away from NYC (4.5 hours), Albany (1.5hrs). This area is the much less touristed than the Lake Placid region, and easier to get to. We supply a complete list of things to do in the area.
  • Beautiful little cabin on the lake. Waking up to the view from the bunk house was breathtaking. The bunk house also has the most comfortable bed! Pillows are really soft so of you have a bad neck and need more support I'd suggest to bring your own. If you want to jump right in the lake and swim this cabin may not be for you because you have to kayak out to swim . But if your like me who enjoys kayaking and scenery it is definitely worth it. She left a list of hiking trails and local favorites and it was so helpful we went to many of the recommended! I would go back a million times ! I will definitely be back.

  • If you are looking for a place to relax and rejuvenate, look no further. Maura and David's cabin is a wonderful getaway for city folks who enjoy being surrounded by nature and quietude. We had such a memorable stay and will surely return. Maura and David are awesome hosts!

  • Our stay at the cabin was relaxing! We spent the day on the kayaks and hiking. Then we spent nights by the fire. The rental looks just like the pictures with a beautiful view! We cooked in for every meal but stopped at Common Grounds Cafe for coffee less than 10 minutes away. I would recommend the hike at Panther mountain via Echo Cliffs Trailhead. The bed in the cabin was a little too small on the first night but the second night in the bunk house was much more comfortable! I would recommend this rental to anyone looking to stay in the area!

    Alicia2019-09-16T00:00:00Z
  • Peaceful, beautifully isolated, lovely owner communication. We stayed five nights and enjoyed every minute.

    Valerie2019-09-14T00:00:00Z
  • Maura’s Place was the perfect getaway. I recommend staying in the second cottage at least one night for views of the beautiful sunrise! The Maura’s list of fun things to do was extremely helpful. The hikes and water falls are worth it!

    Sloane2019-09-01T00:00:00Z
  • Our stay was absolutely fabulous. Maura was quick to respond with any questions or concerns. We enjoyed watching for wildlife. We saw Eagles, Herons, Hummingbirds, and so much more. My husband and I enjoyed having a separate space from our teenager and the view from the bunkhouse was beautiful. We would definately stay here again.

This tiny, magical, rustic, cabin is situated overlooking a large pond on a private property of 200+ acres. Though the cabin is very small (about 10x12 ft with an upstairs sleeping loft) it is quaint and lovingly made with hand split cedar shingles and locally harvested wood. There is an outhouse and no power/running water, but a 5 gallon cooler of spring-fed drinking water is provided.
This cabin looks like a fairy tale - nestled beneath tall Scotch pines and though small - well equipped. It has a single cot on the main floor and there are two large camping pads in the upstairs loft. Make no mistake - this is camping - but in a delightful setting.
This is a large, private property, mostly forested with a few open meadows. It is paramount that our guests respect the privacy of the other inhabitants on this property. There are trails on the property available for use - if you find yourself near someone's dwelling area please give them space and be considerate.
  • The Tiny Cabin was so cute and wonderful! The lake right outside was an awesome thing to wake up to. It was a little difficult keeping the fire going through the night but that's because I went alone. There was a lot of ice on the walk to the cabin, so be careful! Otherwise, 10/10 amazing experience, and I'll definitely come back again sometime. Pots/pans/utensils and more were provided, even a teapot!!! I highly recommend staying here!

  • This rustic tiny cabin was the perfect getaway from it all. Accurately described, simple, and peaceful accommodations. We stayed in the winter for the 15 minute drive to Gore Mountain. Would love to come again for the summer season.

    Christy2020-02-22T00:00:00Z
  • Was so nice the first time we had to come again! Wood stove is super cozy and we would come back in a heart beat in any season! Perfect location for visiting Gore Mountain. Since this is winter its of note that you may need snow tires/chains to reliably get around after heavy snow. After coming a few times I would also recommend a headlamp/nice lantern for extra lighting options. (Many are provided, but I preferred my gas burning lantern) Many thanks to Margarete for being a great hostess! The cabin is thoughtfully cleaned and stocked each time we've visited!

    Ben2020-02-05T00:00:00Z
  • Margarete’s place is where you can find serenity and gratitude for the simple things in life. We enjoyed exploring the woods, sledding down a hill, journaling under snow frosted trees, the warmth of the wood stove, and just simply observing nature. Thank you for sharing such a beautiful part of the Adirondacks.

    Jacob2020-02-02T00:00:00Z
  • The tiny cabin is wonderful and cozy. The trails on the property made for fantastic winter hiking and beautiful surroundings. My friends and I had a relaxing and fulfilling time here.

    Hannah2020-01-26T00:00:00Z
  • Great communication

    Alfredo2020-01-06T00:00:00Z
  • Absolutely magical escape. We had a great time exploring the winter wonderland with our pups. Very grateful for the crampons that were so kindly provided in the cabin and for the wonderfully maintained private hiking trails.

    Anna2020-01-01T00:00:00Z
  • Margarete’s Tiny Cabin, set back in the woods beside a small lake was the epitome of peacefulness. The cabin itself, while limited in amenities, makes up for that by being an inviting and cozy space. The setting could not be better, on the shore of a serene small lake with access to beautiful forest trails. For those looking to get away and unplug (literally), a more perfect location could not be found. This is a place I would return to again and again, any season.
