Situated in the heart of the Highlands below our highest mountain Ben Nevis. Great location for exploring, cycling, walking, climbing, skiing and all outdoor activities. Rural location but with the town only 10 mins away by car.
  • A peaceful little spot. Clean, tidy, just what I was looking for, for a little break in Scotland

  • Superb cosy comfortable log cabin in a wonderful location, and Kenny was a really friendly and helpfull host. Would definately come back for another stay.

    Phil2020-01-02T00:00:00Z
  • Kenny’s place is a wonderful cabin for a family of 4. It has everything you need and is super comfortable. We also found the location to be absolutely perfect to explore the highlands. Every morning we went for hikes right around the cabin, took day trips out from fort William and did the gondolas on Ben Nevis which was covered in thick snow. And we discovered the leisure club at the Ben Nevis hotel which was great for a swim and hot tub. Kenny’s cabin comes highly recommended!

  • Can’t rate Kenny or his cabin highly enough. As other reviewers have said, the pictures don’t do it justice. The cabin is massive, toasty warm and has everything you need. The location is fabulous and Kenny is friendly, helpful and knowledgable.

    Rachel2019-12-10T00:00:00Z
  • Ideal location with enough privacy and a hands on host at ypur door step if you need him. Cabin is bigger than in looks in photos and lovely and warm.

    Stacey2019-11-23T00:00:00Z
  • Worth the travel no matter where you are in the UK. You're left in the middle of beautiful scenery and are free to come and go as you please. Kenny is extremely knowledgeable, approachable and flexible who was extremely welcome, I couldn't ask for a better host!

Our fabulous Glamping pods offer en suite facilities and the most amazing views of Loch Linnhe and the surrounding mountains. Each pod sleeps 3 adults or 2 adults and 2 small children. We supply a Duvet, Pillows and Towels. Pods are warm and cozy. You may take the Corran Ferry to get to Ardgour, however there is a road around the loch Via Fort William, We are not an Island. The ferry saves 1hr drive around the loch.
These lovely pods are fully insulated so very cosy. All are ensutie WC and shower with tea making facilities. A fridge, microwave and small heater is provided. We are cited on croftland and parking is available at the village shop next door. We accept well-behaved dogs in our space.
The area is outstandingly beautiful. Mountains, lochs, wildlife include seals, pine martins, otters, grey geese and eagles, and much more. There are opportunities to fish, walk, climb, or just relax.
  • Good reception, improved campsite in a magnificent setting

  • Amazing!

    Franziska2020-03-04T00:00:00Z
  • This place is brilliant. Fancy camping, with a loo and a shower in a super cosy cabin, amidst astonishing scenery. The cabin had everything we could have needed (and more - the fridge and the microwave were very handy!) and was a real gem of a find. Don't miss taking a wee walk to the local pub where the food looked excellent (although, we only eyed it and tried the wine - also excellent) and exploring the scenery. This place makes a fantastic base if you're walking or travelling nearby, and the hosts are so accommodating, welcoming and kind. We'll remember this trip fondly!

    Jennifer2019-10-26T00:00:00Z
  • Great comfy space and easy to find almost immediately off the Corran ferry. Amazing views with benches and grilles set up outside. The pod itself was very warm even in single degree weather.

    Kenny2019-10-24T00:00:00Z
  • We fell in love with the location of the Pod, everything was perfect, and we can’t wait to go back. Stunning views, lovely welcome from the hosts, friendly animals and a beautiful spotless pod. I did not expect a microwave and fridge so this was a real bonus. Lovely and cosy in autumn temperatures, and so peaceful. A hot shower and soap provided in the bathroom. A dimmer switch to create a cosy atmosphere, and comfy beds. Everything was just perfect. A big thank you to John and Reece for accepting us as guests. If you’ve never stayed in a Pod before, go for it, it’s a fabulous experience.

Nestled in the forest, lochs and mountains we have our spacious and eco friendly Signal Rock Cottage. With bird songs being the score for your ears and nature being the canvas for the eyes, underfloor heating for your feet we love to be able to offer this as your special holiday spot. Fun film fact: Warner Brothers used the Torren Lochen in the Harry Potter film The Prisoner of Azkaban. All the scenes with Hagrids Hut were filmed here. Dogs Welcome - £10 per dog per night subject to T+Cs.
Signal Rock Cottage was built in 2008 as an Eco House utilising a local biomass boiler and underfloor heating to make a cozy yet contemporary space. The setting within the forest makes for a true get a way feel with wildlife spotting opportunities in abundance from the window. The cottage consists of 2 double en-suit rooms which can have beds made up as either doubles or twins. The shared living area opens out with patio doors into the forest and the fully equipped kitchen makes it a perfect spot if you fancy dining in for the evening. You may find that there is someone staying in the other bedroom with whom you will be sharing the living space & kitchen. Unusually for a B&B we have a kitchen for the exclusive use of our guests. We also allow access to the cottage at all times of day so you can come and go as you like. Washing machine and drying facilities are also available to our guests on request. There is cosy underfloor heating fuelled by a wood fuelled boiler feed with wood chips locally sourced. All the water in the taps comes direct from our own spring and is filtered and passed through an Ultraviolet light to ensure purity. No Chlorine is added. We are proud of our Green credentials and have won many awards for our Environmental management. We have Wifi but the Highlands of Scotland are, according to a National newspaper, the most poorly served in the whole of Britain as far as Broadband is concerned. Service is reasonable in our area most of the time but the signal can drop from time to time, this is generally the time I take it as a sign to go outside (or look out the window if its pouring and stormy). We only accept bookings at the week-ends for a minimum of 2 nights. So Sunday night, Monday, Tuesday , Wednesday and Thursday nights are all available to be reserved on a one night basis. Only Friday and Saturday nights have to be booked together. Breakfast is provided on a self services basis and we will stock the cupboards with a selection of cereals, bread, spreads, milk, yogurt, fruit, teas and coffees. The second B&B room is also listed on Airbnb giving the opportunity for the private use of the cottage apartment. If you can't find the listing send us a message and we'll help you book this. Please note the private owners apartment is located upstairs. Dogs Welcome - £10 per dog per night subject to T+Cs. If you intend on bringing your dog please contact us prior to arrival.
Glencoe is the most iconic Glen in Scotland. Dramatic and a "must visit" for all visitors . We are lucky to live right in the middle of the Glen. As someone said to me " the silence at night is deafening!" The sky is black and on a clear night alive with starlight. We feel incredibly lucky to live here and love to share it with everyone! It was here that Warner Bros filmed the Harry Potter film "The Prisoner of Azaskaban! and all the pictures of Hagrids Hut for the subsequent films are from here. You can see the site from Torren Lochan. Warner Bros told us they needed mountains, trees and water and we had it all! The Glencoe Cottages were taken as Editing Offices and they rented Torren House as their Production Office. They were here for 5 months in 2005 .
  • Amazing cottage in an amazing part of the world! Hosts allowed us the peace we were looking for and provided good breakfast items for the morning. 5min drive from Glencoe Village there is beauty all around. Please be aware this is a shared cabin so if you don't book both room 1 and room 2 then you may be sharing the amenities

In the famous Glencoe valley, beside the river Coe and at the edge of an old majestic forest near the historical Signal Rock is our East cottage which can sleep up to 6 people. With its eco-friendly underfloor heating and its views out to the mountains this is a perfect spot to escape to the highlands. You can walk to our famous nearby lively Pub. There is car parking space by the cottage. Please note that we have a policy of 2 nights min stay at the w/e's. Dogs Welcome - £10 pdpn T+Cs apply
East cottage has 3 bedrooms each with 2 beds ( any 2 beds can be made up as a large double on request) 1 bedroom has its own private shower-room. There is a further shared shower-room. All the beds are made up with a bottom sheet, duvet with a cover, & 2 pillows with pillowslips. The living/dining/kitchen area has large glass doors giving views over the river and access to the patio area with garden furniture & a BBQ. There is also a small bonfire area where our guests can enjoy a rustic ourdoor experience. We have midge eating machines running in the summer to help with eliminating the insect life! The living room has 2 sofas and 2 armchairs a coffee table and a bookcase full of books. There is a TV/DVD player, wi-fi radio & free WiiFi access. However do please be aware that in this mountainess area we only get speeds of 0.5 MB! 3G & 4G are available and you will get better internet access on your mobile phone than we can provide you with here. I am just flagging this up because I know many people are disappointed by our low speeds. The dining table seats 6 with a corner bench and additional chairs. There is plenty of crockery & cutlery. The kitchen has an electric fan oven, cooking hob, fridge/freezer, microwave, dishwasher, electric whisk, toaster, filter coffee machine and an electric kettle. Our water comes direct from our own underground spring. It is filtered and passed through an Ultra Violet light and is as pure as any bottled water you can buy! The cottage is heated and the hotwater comes from an eco friendly central woodchip fed boiler. The woodchips are locally sourced and the wood is sustainably grown. We have a Gold award for our Eco-friendly management and take our Green credentials very seriously. This cottage is let on a self-catering basis. No food is provided. All linen and towels are provided free of charge. East Cottage has a total floor area of 60 sq.m. Dogs Welcome - £10 per dog per night T+Cs apply. Please contact us prior to arrival to arrange the additional dog booking.

  • This was a perfect location for the hiking we did and a wonderful (walkable distance) pub with stunning views. Loved the rushing water by the cabin, deer, ponies and dark starry nights

    Jan2019-09-05T00:00:00Z
  • Warm, rustic cabin very close to running stream in the valleys of Glencoe. So close to nature, hiking and outdoors activity for the whole family. Come for the amazing outdoors - not for the comforts of home. Deer wander freely, as do 2 adorable Shetland ponies around the grounds. A short walk to spectacular views!

    John2019-08-23T00:00:00Z
  • The cottage is in the most idyllic location. We loved watching the birds from the lounge and even had a deer stroll past. The well equipped kitchen has everything you need for a self catering holiday. Comfy beds and soft feather pillows were appreciated after a days walking. We enjoyed a night at the pub (a short walk) which serves great food, has live music (Saturday) and a couple of pool tables. Thank you Keren & Rob we had a great stay.

    Marianne2019-08-19T00:00:00Z
  • This is a fantastic place in the middle of nature, we enjoyed it very much including our kids. Fabulous views of the mountains right next to the house, great opportunities for walking and hiking, useful tips from Keren and Rob (hiking to the hidden valley was great!).

    Ralf2019-08-08T00:00:00Z
  • If you are looking for somewhere quiet, private and breathtaking views, this is the place for you. Just bring a fan if it's summer months :)

    Omar2019-08-04T00:00:00Z
  • Great location with quick access to some beautiful locations for walking, trekking. Just as advertised. Very serene with a nice stream next to the house. Very environmentally friendly family. Thoughtful messages around the house showing extreme care to preserve the beauty and wildlife of the neighborhood. We loved it

  • Great location! Lovely hosts

    Najib2019-06-23T00:00:00Z
  • Glencoe was our favorite destination as we toured the Highlands of Scotland. Truly the most stunning vistas and it was lovely to come back from a day of hiking to Keren and Rob’s charming cottage. We felt very private and comfortable; just sorry it was too rainy or windy to take advantage of the fire pit! We were thrilled to watch a deer wander right across the back garden and loved seeing all the different birds come into the feeder. It was the perfect “get away from it all” location with a handy pub right up the road.

A cosy, small, traditional stone cottage on the Isle of Lismore, in one of the most picturesque places of the west coast. It sits right in the bay at the end of the Great Glen and is surrounded by stunning mountain views. Please note: Lismore is an island that can only be reached by either of two ferry services. After your booking we'll send you an extensive welcome pdf with all the information you need about how to get here and how plan your stay.
If you're looking for a place to break away from it all, experience true peacefulness and inhale fresh sea air while green hills and beautiful mountains stretch endlessly before you, the Crofting Cottage on the Isle of Lismore is the place to for you. In our renovated historical stone cottage you get a real sense of what it means to live on an island while still enjoying all the comforts of modern life. Put on your wellies and go for a walk along the seashore, explore the small islands in the bay at low tide and return to a warm turf-roofed cottage and a cosy fire. Go for a cycle to discover the historical sites of the island and stop for some cake and coffee at our local café, get to know the welcoming island community and finish the day with a stew of delicious local lamb and a book from our varied collection, while admiring an unpolluted starry night through the skylights. The Crofting Cottage is a simple, open-plan space accommodation that is lovingly prepared for you, so you can feel right at home. It's got a mezzanine sleeping platform, a modern shower room, and a lovely kitchen corner with a handy cooker and double oven for all cooking enthusiasts. As an original island house it does not boast with space, but with cosiness, and the efficient and undemanding multi-fuel stove quickly heats every corner of it. It's not trying to provide a luxury holiday, but letting you re-connect with the simple pleasures of life, the sound of the seagulls for breakfast, the beauty of pure silence, the passing shadows on the mountains while the clouds are travelling over them, the ever-changing light and colours of a Hebridean landscape. Exchanging hurried subway connections for a leisurely ferry crossing, a mad weekend shopping for a browse through our small local shop, and the fight with software compatibilities for a fight with the wind, which, even if you lose it, somehow is so much more satisfying. It usually takes a day or two to allow yourself a much slower pace of daily life, but beware, once you've adjusted to island time and haven't let the presence of the wi-fi take away from it, you might find you could rather get used to it! The cottage is also perfect for an autumn and winter getaway, being a small space to heat, providing a comfortable reading sofa and lots of warm things for extra cosiness, including a down feather duvet. And though the days are short, the light is really at its most beautiful in the darker days of the year!
Lismore is a stunning island, with lots to see and do if you appreciate a quieter pace of life. We have a Heritage Centre with an island café (around 4 miles away) open 11 - 4 pm every day from April (check out varying winter opening times), and lots of historical buildings and monuments. It's ideal for walking and cycling, and if you would like to see as much as possible in one day and hear a few local stories, why not book an Explore Lismore landrover tour? You'll find everyone on the island very helpful, so if you get lost or have questions, don't hesitate to ask the first person to come your way! Lismore is a busy island and there's always something on, check the noticeboard at the local shop or the community website (www.isleoflismore.com) for upcoming events.
  • Thanks so much for having us. I’m still sad to not be there. Felt very much at home! A very comfortable 9 days. Great shower too! Will definitely be back.

    Denise2020-02-11T00:00:00Z
  • The Croft is amazing and is in an amazing location! Lismore is the hottest holiday destination of the decade👍

    Caspar2020-02-05T00:00:00Z
  • This is a truly lovely cottage. It's ideal for one person or a couple looking for a calm and cosy retreat to enjoy this amazing part of the world. We had very wintery weather so really enjoyed staying in lots! The fire was great and kept us cosy all week. The kitchen is brilliant and had everything we needed for cooking nice dinners. The bed platform is small and slightly tricky, but if you move the bed a little away from the wall you can sleep two people fine, listening to the rain on the roof is very cosy. The bathroom and shower is great, really hot water! There's lots of nice warm welcoming touches like slippers, hot water bottles, blankets etc. Plus a great selection of books and good WiFi. One tip I'd like to give future visitors - the local shops on Lismore and over on Appin (10min ferry from Lismore) are really great and stock everything you might need from all your normal groceries to plant based milks to nice wines, newspapers, etc. We stocked up in Oban before our trip so didn't use the local shops much but it seemed a shame when we realised how well stocked they are - buying from them is a great way to support the local economy while you're on holiday. Thanks Julia!

Even if my boyfriend is quite tall, it wasn’t too much of an issue and he managed to shower and get around comfortably. We loved the little touches such as the highland cow and purple theme, which added personality to the stay. We really had a great time at the pod and would love to stay again!

  • Jeannine was so lovely! She’s very personable and helpful. She offered tips and advice for things to do in the area and where to eat. The room and bed were very comfortable. I loved staying here!

    Kristen2019-09-19T00:00:00Z
  • Jeannine’s place exceeded expectations. The room was clean and spacious; much larger than we had anticipated. Jeannine was so lovely and accommodating. The breakfast was excellent, with cereal, yoghurt and fruit, all the tea and coffee you could need, as well as ham and cheese for sandwiches. Absolutely loved our stay!

    Samantha2019-09-18T00:00:00Z
  • Jeannine's place was awesome. A true gem. Outstanding hospitality and excellent breakfast choices. What a lovely stay. Make sure to look out for the Corran Gardens sign as the pin drop takes you past the house.

  • Jeannine is a lovely person, she welcomed us very well in her house which is very well located to enjoy Glencoe and Glen Nevis. Thanks again for your time and your warm welcome ! We enjoyed our stay very much.

    Victor2019-09-16T00:00:00Z
  • We had a wonderful stay. The room was very clean and comfortable. Breakfast was amazing. And Jeanine was wonderful to talk to. We could not have asked for a better place. We highly recommend staying here when in the area.

    Mark2019-09-15T00:00:00Z
  • We stayed only for one night at Jeannine's house but it was like coming home for a few hours. After a long journey, he wanted us. The welcome we received was the best, so much so that for the whole time we thought of finding ourselves in a hotel instead of an airbnb. The private bathroom and the table already set for an abandoned breakfast have certainly helped. I wish I had more time to listen to Jeannine's suggestions on things to do and see around. We will definitely be back. Thanks Jeannine!

    Tabata2019-09-11T00:00:00Z
  • She is an adorable hostess who welcomes you to her home. The room has a bathroom and breakfast is self service with a lot of choice. Very good address!

    Mathieu2019-09-07T00:00:00Z
  • Highly recommend! Jeannine is an incredible host who couldn’t do enough to help us during our stay with her. The house is lovely and in a great location.

We would definitely stay there again- clean, you can connect to Netflix if you have an account, cute little Scottish shortbread was there and an AMAZING shower.

Whats special about our place? Our 6ft5 Great Dane Dougal of course. If you are not a Dog person then this house is not for you! We are in a very friendly neighbourhood within a small crescent. The car park is a 5 second walk from the house which is very easily accessed.
Spacious double bedroom includes a TV with sky tv. Tea and coffee making facilities in room, use of bathroom outside of room, shower and bath (Towels provided)

The main road to our house is on the bus route which runs regularly, there are also local taxis if required. Being in the highlands we are surrounded by hills and lovely walks. As we are situated further up the hill we have a number of walks right on our door step with beautiful views!
  • Great stay! Very warm welcome from Brian and Dougal. Attentive host and lovely walk to the town centre.

This room is a very small single located in the attic, therefore limited head space due to slopping ceiling Room measurements 2.7x2.2 Door measurements 1.7mx600mm
  • The house is centrally located and short convenient walk to plenty of pubs and restaurants. Ben Nevis park is not too far either. The onsite parking is a huge benefit as well because parking seems tight in the area.

    John2019-10-11T00:00:00Z
  • When you just need a bed and not a place to hang out, this works great! Lots of thoughtful little touches make the efficient space work well. Close to the train and bus station with super easy check-in and out.

  • As stated it's a small room but plenty big enough for one person.

    Jenny2019-09-27T00:00:00Z
  • A simple, very clean room under the roof. It is very small, but quite sufficient for a person with few needs. The location is very central (about 10 minutes walk from the train station). Uncomplicated check in / out and a very nice and helpful contact with Sandra. I would love to come back.

    Denise2019-09-26T00:00:00Z
  • Sandra's home is great, VERY close to the center of Fort William, easily within walking distance to shops and restaurants, and just barely off the main roads in and out of town. Her home is very clean and very comfortable. I would certainly stay here again when visiting Fort William!

This is a stand alone log cabin, which has just undergone extensive renovations. It has few neighbours except for myself. It's situated in a wild garden, with access to 3 hectares of beautiful woodland behind. There's a main living room, a galley kitchen, a double bedroom and a bathroom with a large shower. There's also a wood stove to keep you warm There's a plasma TV with chromecast, a speaker system and a guitar for campfire songs! There's also a firepit available for use 30m from the cabin
**Coronavirus update** My guests' safety is of utmost importance to me. I understand people will have concerns and fears coming on holiday and away from their homes. This area is beautiful and wild, and still allows you to restrict social contact whilst also enjoying the great outdoors. In addition to the usual deep clean of my property after every stay, i'll be undertaking additional cleaning of all surfaces, light switches, remote controls and door handles using alcohol wipes and antiviral spray. I'll be distancing myself from all guests as a precaution, but of course, i'm available if anyone needs me. Bedding and towels are provided, and there are a plenty of blankets and cushions to make yourself comfortable. If you require allergy-safe bedding, please contact me to get it ready for you. Heating is provided by a wood burning stove in the living room (all wood felled and split by me from the woods around the cabin) and electric heaters in the bedroom and bathroom. The bathroom also has a heated towel rail. There is a firepit in the garden (please don't light fires elsewhere) and there is a small firepit on the side of the loch to watch the sunset from. Children or babies are allowed, but the cabin is not specially set up for them, so you'd need to take responsibility for them, and provide your own cribs / highchairs etc. Pets are permitted, and a dog bed can be made available on request. Extra guests may be accommodated for a fee but you would need to contact me to confirm availability.
This is a secluded cabin in the grounds of the old school house. It is located 60m off of the quiet road on the south side of Loch Eil. There are woods behind the house to explore, and access to the lochside on the other side of the road, perhaps a minute's walk from the cabin. There are walks up onto the mountain behind, but otherwise this is a quiet area. Apart from the occasional car on the road, the only sounds are the birds and the wind in the trees. The nearest shop is in Corpach which is a 20 minute drive away. This is a beautiful, tranquil area, which makes a great base for exploring the highlands. The woods have deer and pine martens in them and there are many birds. The west coast is only an hour down the road and you can be at the base of Ben Nevis in 40 minutes.
  • We had a really relaxing stay at this amazing place to stay. It is in a nice sport in the woods and Pete was really helpful and easily contactable.

    Oliver2020-03-21T00:00:00Z
  • We stayed here for my girlfriends birthday and this cabin is just perfect! It's so clean and comfortable and in a perfect location. Close enough to fort William to stock up on provisions but remote enough to feel like you are in the middle of nowhere. Pete was brilliant with his messages and couldn't do enough to make our stay perfect. Pete had the stove going for us on arrival which was great. Loved sitting out on the front porch and looking at the stars. I can't recommend this place enough and I've already told my girlfriend I want to come here again for my birthday. Stop looking for other places and book this place now.

    Tom2020-03-18T00:00:00Z
  • Pete's cabin is just the perfect place for a vacation! It's a charming cabin in the woods, lovely interior design and loads of nice touches to make you feel home. Not only the fireplace warms up the cabin very quickly, but it really makes for a magical atmosphere! We would love to be back for another escape from the city :) Thanks Pete!

  • What a great place to stay- this was a very spacious cabin, stylish with character and with very cosy atmosphere, really a gem!Pete was very welcoming and had lighted the fire in the stove before we arrived so it was warm and lovely! The place is environmentally friendly, spotless clean and has everything one might need(from board games to face masks and toothbrushes), fresh linen and amazing views from literally everywhere in the cabin. It was very easy to find and Pete was very quick to respond to my queries. One of my best experiences in the highlands. I'll be back soon- totally recommended!

  • We had a fantastic stay in this lovely apartment with great views and everything else you’d need for a great base to explore the local area and beyond. Suzie was an excellent host and very friendly, which made us feel welcome. Although the apartment is an additional space added to the side of the house, it is totally private, so you don’t need to worry about annoying the hosts as they can’t hear through the thick brick walls. Would recommend this as a great place to stay!

  • This is the most beautiful mountain escape, check in was super easy, we got a full tour of the apartment and info about local amenities. The water pressure in the bathroom should be mentioned: just perfect! You don't find that often in Scotland. Cosy, warm and beautiful!

The cottage was really clean and there was even a coffee machine and walking gear you could borrow if you wished. Rosey was a great host and responded to all my messages really quickly and was very accommodating! We will definitely be back.

Quality built apartment, perfectly situated at the start of Glen Nevis in an area of natural outstanding beauty, yet only a 10 minute walk into the town centre and a 20 minute walk to the start of Ben Nevis footpath.
  • Great place to stay. Apartment is in the perfect location, close to the town and glen Nevis. Would return again if staying in the area, apartment was modern and very well kept.

  • Everything was lovely and clean. Janet was incredibly friendly and a great host! The kitchen was well stocked for cooking, plenty of storage space and comfortable, homely furnishings.

    Alex2020-02-29T00:00:00Z
  • I stayed at Janet's place for a last minute trip to Fort William with a friend. Janet's communication was great from the outset. Due to storm Ciara I was delayed with my check in but Janet helpfully made alternative arrangements for me as I got there quite late. The property is a 2 minute drive from the sign pointing at Glen Nevis at the Ben Nevis Visitor Centre Roundabout, on the left hand side. There is a pebbled drive outside the property. The house was sparkling clean and warm on arrival, with helpful touches such as toiletries, towels , kitchen utensils and dishwasher tablets. Janet greeted me in the morning and gave me some local guidance. I loved my stay at the house as it was comfortable and centrally located, with all of the beautiful attractions close by. It was furnished beautifully also. I definitely recommend this property for any visitors to Fort William. I am looking forward to returning in the future.

Perfect for couples, hill walkers, bikers and outdoor enthusiasts. The cottage has central heating and everything you need for a comfortable stay. There is one double bedroom and a small double sofa bed in the living room. There is also a lovely open fireplace in the living area for an evening fire.
  • Great cottage in a beautiful location. Fraser was a nice guy who made us feel very welcome. We loved the fact that he had made sure there was firewood provided.

    Vera2020-01-05T00:00:00Z
  • We enjoyed a few cosy days at Fraser's. The cottage was well equiped and we truly loved the fireplace (which helped keep the cottage cosy as it was already quite cold outsider!). Apart from the road that was quite passing during the day, we loved the location and cottage. Thank you Fraser!

    Camille2019-10-26T00:00:00Z
  • Fraser’s cottage is just incredible! It is in the most beautiful location and is full of thoughtful and hearty touches from the amazing open fire to the super comfortable bed. The kitchen is fully equipped with anything you could want and it’s super warm and cosy at night. Fraser and Jessica were both lovely and happy to help with anything we needed! We also really enjoyed taking warm baths whilst it was pouring rain outside, it was just an overall wonderful place to stay. Can highly recommend!

    Chelsea2019-10-22T00:00:00Z
  • This cottage was amazing and everything we had hoped for! The cottage was surrounded by beautiful mountains, had free WiFi, lots of plates, bowls and cooking equipment. The log fire worked perfectly and kept us very warm! There are no normal tv channels but the tv did have Netflix and YouTube which suited us fine. The cottage is about a 20 min drive to a big Aldi and M&S, 1 hour drive to Loch Ness, 30 min drive to Ben Nevis (which is why we went to Scotland!). As mentioned in previous reviews the water is a funny brown colour, but was absolutely fine to drink, shower and cook with. Fraser was an excellent host who responded very quickly and helped us out massively when we had to leave a day early! Thanks Fraser!

    Haylea2019-09-25T00:00:00Z
  • The cottage is very cosy, well equipped and nicely decorated. The fireplace is superb! Great location, very short drive from Fort William. Frazer was a great host and gave us some vegetable from his garden.

Clachaig pub.....dinner sorted!

  • We arrived soaked and cold after a long day of walking the WHW under pouring rain. Katy kept in touch with us during the day to make sure everything was ready for us when we would arrive and offered us tea to warm us up. She and her kids are the nicest. Also, she let us stay a little bit longer than scheduled. Thanks again Katy, we have put an end to this adventure in a great way thanks to you and your family !

Orchy Villa is an Edwardian detached house just off the A82. It's only 5 minutes walk from the railway/bus stations, the town centre, and with fine views of the Great Glen. Private parking. At the rear of the house is a footpath giving access to Glen Nevis and the Cow Hill overlooking Fort William. A great base for exploring the stunning scenery, history and wildlife of the West Highlands. Christine and Brian are a friendly couple who are happy to share their local knowledge with their guests.
Unfortunately all our guest rooms are upstairs on the first floor and therefore unsuitable for guests with mobility issues.
There are lots of things to do and see in our area. Interesting places to visit including the West Highland Museum, Lochaber Geopark Visitor Centre, Glen Nevis Visitor Centre, Old Inverlochy Castle, Neptune's Staircase, The Clan Cameron Museum, The National Trust Visitor Centres in Glencoe and Glenfinnan. Explore the Ardnamurchan Peninsula, with it's ancient castles and extinct volcanos, and visit the places associated with the Jacobite rebellions of 1715 and 1745. See Loch Morar the deepest freshwater loch (lake) in the UK reputed to have it's own monster called Morag. Not as famous as her Loch Ness cousin but there have been reports of something in there for many years. If you are an outdoor person there are so many opportunities in Lochaber, the area known as the Outdoor Capital of the UK. You can climb Ben Nevis the highest mountain in the British Isles, visit Nevis Range with it's world class mountain bike trails and much much more. If you prefer something a bit less energetic there are many low level walks in Glen Nevis or along the Caledonian Canal. For film fans there are opportunities to take a trip on a steam train to Mallaig, going over the Glenfinnan Viaduct, and see other locations made famous by the Harry Potter films. Other films have been made in Lochaber including Braveheart, Rob Roy, Local Hero, etc. In the evening there are many excellent restaurants and pubs to enjoy a meal and a night out. But beware, once your hooked you'll come back to Lochaber again and again!

  • The view is superb!

    Stephanie2020-01-29T00:00:00Z
  • The view is stunning. Room is clean and facilities are fully equipped. The seafood bar in the holly tree hotel has got great food. But the heating in the apartment doesn’t work very well. Actually freezing cold, you have to stay in bed all the time to keep yourself warm. Other than that everything else is perfect.

    2020-01-28T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful views and really great value for money!

    Kalyani2019-12-02T00:00:00Z
  • What a location! It was beautiful to watch the sun go down over the lake - it made our trip. Despite the cold, we also managed breakfast on the decking to make the most of our stay. The accommodation was cosy and it was great to have access to the spa facilities in the hotel next door. The food in the hotel was also excellent - really handy to have it close by. We would definitely recommend a stay here.

    Ian2019-10-30T00:00:00Z
  • It is a cottage with a wonderful view. As it was a part of the hotel, I did not struggle to check in. There was a restaurant, and the food there was very delicious. We recommend that you bring a bathing suit to use the hot tub and pool.

COVID-19: I am offering my apartment to COVID-19 responders at a very significantly reduced rate. It is situated less than 15 minutes walk from the Belford Hospital. I am following Airbnb enhanced cleaning and safety protocols. Airbnb are also waiving their fees. The ground-floor apartment is located in a secluded side street with no through traffic. It enjoys an elevated position overlooking Loch Linnhe and has an off-street parking space.
The spacious ground-floor apartment consists of a living room, kitchen, bedroom, bathroom and hallway. It is immaculately and luxuriously decorated throughout in a modern, understated style with a subtle Scottish theme. The bedroom is sumptuously appointed around a superking bed. The bed can also be split into two singles, just let me know which you would prefer when you book. The view from the bedroom window looks across to Loch Linnhe. There is also a 22" HD TV with Freesat receiver in case you find it challenging to leave the comfort of the bed. The large, elegant living room has a comfortable two-seater sofa and armchair in front of an electric fire. The sofa can be converted to a double bed and has a memory-foam mattress. There is a 40" Ultra HD TV with Freesat recorder and a Blu-Ray/DVD player and a small collection of DVDs. A dining table and 3 chairs are set to one side. A selection of books and local guides is provided for your visit. The fully-fitted kitchen is equipped with all the crockery and equipment you are likely to need during your stay, including kettle, Nespresso pod machine, toaster, oven, hob, fridge/freezer, microwave and dishwasher. The modern bathroom has a double-width walk-in shower with rainfall head and a heated towel rail. Central heating and hot water are supplied by a combi-boiler and can be set to a temperature of your choosing. There is an understairs cupboard containing a washer-dryer. Free high-speed broadband internet through WiFi is provided. There is a small patio with table and chairs and views to Loch Linnhe which you are welcome to use when the weather permits. At the back of the patio is a padlocked shed which you can use for storing equipment such as bikes and skis. A single parking space is located to the rear of the apartment.
Fort William is a brilliant location for visitors. The High Street boasts a large number of shops, galleries, cafes, restaurants and a museum within easy reach. The surrounding landscape of lochs, glens and mountains is stunning, and you will be at the foot of Ben Nevis, Britain's highest mountain. The apartment is a great base for many outdoor activities such as hillwalking, skiing, mountain biking and climbing. Each year the town bounces with major events such as the Scottish Six Day Trials and the UCI Mountain Bike World Cup.
  • Everything about this place is AMAZING! Perfect location, very clean, cozy and stylish, so many lovely little touches to make it feel extra homey. There was everything there we didn’t know we needed. Andrew was an excellent host, he’s literally thought of everything. A sweet welcome basket filled with goodies and so many recommendations from places to eat to awesome things to do. By far the best Airbnb I’ve stayed in. Excellent value for money. Highly recommend for anyone wanting to stay in the area. We will certainly go back.

    Katie2020-03-21T00:00:00Z
  • This little place was amazing. Perfectly situated for a walk into the town centre and amazing views. Was definitely like a home away from home for me. Next time I am up in fort William I will definitely be booking in again.

    Kyle2020-03-06T00:00:00Z
  • Andrew made the stay very easy and gave us lots of advice and tips on the area, a great host I would recommend to friends. A friendly and welcome introduction to this part of Scotland and a very nice place to stay. Thank you Andrew!

    Rhys2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • This was probably the best Airbnb we ever stayed at! Very lovely place, equipped with anything you can think of, great location and we felt at home right away. Andrew had some nice tips for hiking and dining and a welcome-basket with some tasty things. We hope to be back soon!

    Philipp2020-02-26T00:00:00Z
  • This place is fantastic. The pictures don’t really do it justice, old style building that’s been developed into an amazingly modern place to stay. Perfect location for the loch and the Main Street of Fort William, I think we visited 5 bars in total and missed a coupon out but all a very short walk - Thursday Night at Garrison West have live music. Andrew made some great suggestions, one being An Steall waterfall which I would heavily recommend. We stayed here whilst skiing on Nevis Range which was a 10 minute drive away. I’d also recommend Ben Nevis Distillery - £5 for a 1 hour tour and a glass of whisky. All in all a great place to visit.

    James2020-02-21T00:00:00Z
  • Fantastic place to stay, spotlessly clean, host is very friendly, extremely cosy place - has everything you could ever need for a weekend away! Will be back for sure.

    Nathan2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • Andrew provided a great stay, the place was super clean and cosy! Location was stunning! Thank you!

    Lauren2020-02-14T00:00:00Z
  • Andrew’s home is AMAZING. It was so clean, stylish and comfortable, that my girlfriend and I were really bummed to leave, despite having half our trip ahead of us! Andrew met us for a quick introduction and show around, he was very friendly and kind. Additionally, Andrew left us with a lovely little gift basket that we enjoyed immensely. All that is to say, if you’re going to Fort William/Glencoe/Ben Nevis, definitely book Andrew’s place if it’s available. You won’t regret it. Oh, and the bed is suuuuuuper cozy and comfy...probably best we’ve had during our numerous stays in Europe.
