My boyfriend and I stayed at Rachel and Tim's apartment for two nights on our trip through California and we loved it there (wish we could have stayed longer). The apartment is decorated very tastefully and has a great view overlooking a vineyard. It was spotlessly clean, the bed was very comfortable and Rachel and Tim were very responsive and helpful. We didn't meet them in person but had no trouble checking in thanks to a code-based lock on the front door. The apartment has lots of convenient features and appliances (easy parking in the driveway, a barbecue on the large back porch, a french press and Aeropress (along with coffee beans, which Rachel and Tim generously provided). All in all, we had a great time and there's nothing we missed.

The place was just perfect! Rachel and Tim have the house beautifully decorated and stocked with everything we needed. We cooked several meals, including using the grill, and thoroughly enjoyed eating on the back deck which overlooks the vineyard. The bed was comfortable, the sheets high quality, and the Roku entertaining. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and hope to return!

Our experience was excellent. The place is exactly as described. It is very close to Guerneville and wine country which makes it easy to go out and explore. The cottage itself is very cozy and private. It's very easy to spend the day on the deck relaxing.

We loved our stay at Rachel and Tim's cosy place. It's a tiny, vintage cottage but the porch expands the living space a lot. While it looks like it's isolated in the photos, it's actually on a street with many other cute vacation homes. The view over the vineyard in back is worth the price of admission alone. The place is well appointed--we found everything we needed. When we couldn't figure out the oven (because we just were just being dumb), Tim called us back immediately and was very gracious. The cottage is very clean. It has a really satisfying shower! Rachel and Tim are very flexible (check in and check out times are negotiable and they let us bring our child even though it's technically a 2-person max.). We REALLY appreciate that they use only natural cleaning products and provide for composing and recycling. Would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone. It's a really great value.

Lovely stay! Small but cute and cozy cottage! We loved the location. Wish deck faced the back to overlook the vineyard but we had a great time.

The cottage was a great spot for our two-night stay in California wine country. We used Guerneville as our home base and travelled to the local vineyards from there. Tim and Rachel were great hosts and we're very communicative. They answered all our questions and had some recommendations for local spots to eat. I highly recommend Boon Eat + Drink for a great meal. We also had pizza from Andorno's on a more laid back night and it was fantastic. Headlsburg is a short drive away but is a great town as well. The cottage was clean and well kept and had everything you would need to cook your own meals or just make coffee. The view from the back window is gorgeous. The river is a short walk away but we didn't make it out there. I'd definitely recommend this to any of our friends.

The cottage is extremely cute with a great location. Guerneville is just over a mile away, but the cottage feels even more secluded on a small street next to Russian River. The back deck is as idyllic as any place I've ever been - just a perfect, calm vineyard view with mountains in the background. Guerneville is cute, and everything from vineyards to rafting to mountains to ocean is within a short drive. Electronic key access to rental makes the process of getting in & out very easy and convenient. Rachel and Tim are responsive and easy to get a hold of. Highly recommended!

Great stay in Rio Nido! Clean, comfortable and relaxing.

Brigettes place was so cute and super homey and relaxing. The hot tub outside was sooo nice and the hammock was such a nice touch. It was so peaceful laying on the hammock and looking up to all the surrounding redwood trees. All in all it was such a good experience, with this being my first ever air bnb I could not have been happier and I will definitely be wanting to come back. Thanks brigette!

Bridgette was easy to communicate with, friendly and responsive. The house has amazing redwoods on the property and we enjoyed hiking, relaxing and wine tasting in the surrounding area. The close proximity to downtown Guerneville is great. The place was a great weekend stay, although I found some parts to be lacking in the house (plastic wine glasses?). We found the bed to be too soft for our liking, so soft that it slumps in the middle so if you are a couple then soon you are on top of each other. Overall, this place is a good bargain with a great location.

Bridgitte was very responsive and Quick. The space was really nice beds were almost too small but it worked for the price point. Cancellation policy is firm very firm I came down with the flu after chemo and made the journey anyways because I couldn't cancel. In a way it was good but it was really hard on me. It was great that it's right next to the public pool super fun for kids.

Four of us stayed two nights. The house was well located for us and was cute comfy and clean. The hot tub was perfect to unwind after sightseeing. Brigette was extremely responsive and has a great little place that I would highly recommend for a Sonoma county weekend. Thank you Brigette for a lovely stay!

Brigette's home is beautiful, clean, and VERY comfortable! It's obvious that she considered every detail detail when setting it up, from the separate beach towels and spa towels for guests to the bottle of Korbel and chocolate left out on the kitchen countertop to the sticks of incense left in a stone-filled pot on the back patio. The kitchen is well-appointed with a dishwasher, microwave, large fridge, juicer, pots and pans, utensils, towels, etc. and more, and the bathroom included soap, shampoo, and conditioner. The beds were clean and comfortable, too, with lots of pillows, and there are empty dressers and closets everywhere for folks who don't travel light. The back patio was my favorite part because of the barbecue grill, the spacious hammock, and THE HOT TUB which is clean and well-maintained. Brigette includes fun distractions like coloring books with gel pens and coloring pencils, an assortment of boardgames, and a variety of books. As someone who meditates and practices mindfulness, I especially appreciated her decor, which includes mandalas, peacock feathers, little Buddhas, and lots of plants. The home is a short drive from the main street in Guerneville (which has restaurants, cafes, shops, a large Safeway, and more). My husband and I had a great time relaxing here and would absolutely not hesitate to come back. Brigette definitely knows how to make an AirBnB experience super positive for her guests.^^

Allen was such an awesome host! The home was very quaint and cozy! Although it did rain during our stay, hillside lodge was the perfect place to spend our soggy weekend. Allen even included a complimentary bottle of wine :) hillside lodge was also very clean neat and organised, almost no need to bring any anything at all!

The Hillside Lodge is beautifully appointed and Allan's attention to detail is impeccable. The Lodge was warm and inviting; it left nothing to be desired on a quiet and wet weekend. The welcome bottle of wine was a wonderful touch. The Lodge is a five-star experience at a fraction of the price. My friends and I will not be staying anywhere else on our future visits to G-Ville. Bottom-line is that Hillside Lodge is a hidden gem!

Allan was an excellent host. He let me access the accommodation early, which was great for my out of town guests. The place was super clean and very nice.

The Hillside Lodge exceeded our expectations of an AirBNB in so many ways. Allan was easy to communicate with through every step of the reservation and our stay. The unit is located within walking distance of Stumptown Brewery and very close to downtown Guerneville and Armstrong Redwoods park. It has a fantastic rear patio and front deck for lounging and is nestled in the woods for just the right amount of privacy. The house is incredibly well equipped with all the kitchen tools/ spices/ etc, bathroom supplies, wireless internet, TV & DVDs, and instructions should you have any questions or need any help from Allan. Our group had an amazing time at this quaint little lodge in the woods. I've already bookmarked it as one of my favorites to stay at again the next time we are in Guerneville!

We only stayed for a night but wished we could've stayed longer to enjoy the space. Allan welcomed us with a bottle of wine upon arrival. My kids loved the space and chest filled with games. Beautiful lodge, we would definitely come back again.

Allan has created a treasure with the Hillside Lodge. It's a wonderful cabin located conveniently near downtown Guerneville. Cozy, quiet, clean, and immaculately decorated, Allan's place is perfect spot for anyone looking to enjoy the Russian River Valley. A short drive down the road puts you in the heart of all the best local wineries. We comfortably fit two couples. It's the kind of place that seems to make your morning coffee just taste better. Allan was gracious enough to have a bottle of wine waiting for us upon arrival. A wonderful host for a phenomenal home in a superb location. There aren't enough superlatives. On behalf of my group-- Thank you, Allan! My only regret is that we didn't stay longer. We will be back!

This place is a dream!! It is impeccably decorated yet cozy. Like a resort tree house!! Very easy and clear communication with Allan. Very grateful for a beautiful stay in such a gorgeous cabin in the Russian river valley. We would love to come back!!

The garden studio was right by the river. Our host Ursula has a canoe and few kayaks for us to use. We hopped on a canoe and paddle upstream, and swam in the river in the sunny afternoon. It was a wonderful way to spend the afternoon. We love the river. The studio is cozy. The garden is beautiful. We grilled vegetables for diner and ate at the garden table. We ate brunch in a warm Sunday morning. The warm sun and the garden are definitely a highlight of our stay in Guernville. Our host is super friendly and gave us good tips about enjoying the area.

My sister and I stayed at Ursula's little apartment for 2 nights. Ursula was a gracious The garden is lovely and inspirational, and the river was beautiful as well. The apartment was clean and very comfortable. I especially loved the sounds of her chimes making music in the breeze.

Good directions, easy to find. Ursula is a charming host and her garden level studio space is nicely appointed. The garden is so sweet and has direct access to the river. Her attention to detail is evident throughout, I will definitely be back.

Ursula was very nice and welcoming and was flexible about arrival time after we got stuck in traffic. The house was in a fairly crowded neighborhood but she had a lovely private garden. We weren't there during the day so we didn't get to see what it was like then. Didn't feel like we were in our own place as we were right underneath her but we did have our own entrance and bathroom, etc. Overall a pleasant stay.

We had an excellent stay over the weekend with Ursula at her beautiful garden studio. We enjoyed use of the two kayaks and spent most of our time in her beautiful, sunny garden. The studio was very clean and had everything we needed for cooking and comfort. We can't wait to visit again!

Ursula's place in Guernville was fantastic. It was exactly what we were looking for. Quiet, Charming and not right in the center of town. We loved chatting with her and exploring her gorgeous garden. If the river was a little higher we would have kayaked as the place is right on the river. We would recommend this place to anyone.

I had a restful experience in her home. I highly recommend this listing. This was my first time using airbnb and everything went very well. I highly recommend the room!

I loved Camila's cabin "B". It was bright, comfortable and very clean. It was an easy walk to town for breakfast and the beach. The WiFi worked well since cell service is spotty in the area. I would recommend this cabin to friends and family for sure.

Camila was perfectly nice and sent me all the information I needed to check in and check out. Her cabin was very nice - the bed was very comfortable and everything worked properly. The only thing that I would warn is that there was no shower amenities (shampoo, conditioner, soap, hair dryer) -- I didn't look closely enough on the listing and just assumed she had those things, so just flagging for others who may miss it like I did! Also, there is no bathroom sink, which was fine for us but others may want to know that. Overall, adorable place and great location!

Nice place. Newer digs. Location was great for access to downtown area but a little removed so it seemed remote. Perfect for two people.

We thoroughly enjoyed the cabin. As described, it is within walking distance of restaurants and attractions. Communication prior was excellent and it was assuring to know if we had any problems we could contact Camila during our stay.

Very Clean cabin with modern features. Nice quiet neighborhood with a fantastic Taqueria at the bottom of the road. Not far from the main street with a Safeway to get breakfast items or restaurants for meals. Camila was very prompt and check in & check outwas a breeze. Short distance to the Russian River, Sonoma Coast and all the wineries on Highway 116!

The cabin was exactly what we were looking for. It was in a quiet and secluded spot on the edge of Guerneville, walking distance from everything in town. As we were there for the Vineman triathlon, the fact I could walk to the swim start at Johnson's beach in the matter of minutes was a big bonus. Size-wise it was perfect for the two of us (maybe a bit too cosy for more). Would definitely stay here again.

I would prefer to keep Chad's place a secret but in all fairness I must give the proper feedback. This place was AMAZING! I'll try to hit just the highlights. Location, view, amenities, all fantastic. 2 Digital showers (I've never even seen/used one before, (So great!)), wifi, spa, 2 beautiful kitchens, cieling fans, super comfy beds and pillows, Netflix, nice flat screen TVs, ceiling fans, AC, paddle board, nice kitchens, bbq's, vaulted cieling, sky lights, track lighting, clean, secure, quiet + quiet neighbors & more. I feel like Chad thought of everything a person could ask for in a vacation house. You can tell a lot of work and has gone into the place. It was so so great! 2 adults, 4 kids, and we all absolutely loved it! Thank you Chad, it was amazing! Really hope to come back someday!

Chad's place is awesome. Super chill and remote, but also a short walk to a little grocery store and Russian River. Great jumping off point if you plan on wine tasting around Sebastopol, Healdsburg, etc, doing some hiking, or just hanging in the hot tub.

Chad communicated quickly and responsively before and during our stay. We had a great time! The showers are a wonderful experience, with many knobs and jets as well as a great view of trees!

Chad's Starlight River-View Chateau is wonderful. Exactly as described. The hot tub was waiting for us on arrival, so was a bottle of wine. It was the perfect spot for my group of 5 to unwind, we only wish that we were able to stay longer.

Chad is a great host! Small touches like the bottle of wine, bagels, and orange juice he left for us were really appreciated. The place is quant, quiet, and extremely clean. Chad was more than accommodating and went the extra mile to make sure we were happy. Thanks for sharing your place with us!

Wonderful place! I spent about 24-hours here with a bunch of my friends (7 of us total). It was very comfortable to share the space – easy to hang out as a group, easy to get some privacy. One of the two (!) hot tubs was out of commission, but the other was wonderful. Quick, easy walk to the river, as well as a well-stocked convenience store. All the kitchen you need for a vacation. OUT OF THIS WORLD showers! And plenty of towels for all this getting in and out of water. Chad was my ideal host: available and communicative, friendly and welcoming, but pretty hands-off overall.

We has a wonderful vacation in Johnny's place in the woods. Johnny is a responsive host and patiently helped us figure out the location of the key and the exact studio apartment that we had reserved. It's possible to get confused, since the studios look and feel alike. The housekeeper may not be instantly available for urgent needs, although she did call back afterwards. I can definitely understand given it was Christmas. I was not able to watch cable, so settled down and watched some movies instead. The place is really cosy, once it heats up. It does take some time to get warm, but then it was Christmas and pretty cold. The wifi worked fine, other than dropping off for a few hours a few times. The upgrade looks great and the decor is warm and delightful!

Wonderful little place tucked away in the trees while still near reasturants and town. We discovered the tunnel to the Russian river which helped us avoid the madhouse at Johnson's beach over Labor Day weekend. The "hideaway" is well equipped with everything we needed. The Rio Nido roadhouse was a blast!

The cottage is in a great location - close to Armstrong Woods, the Russian River, and walking distance to a cafe. The cottage was warm for a winter stay, with everything we needed; even warm fleece sheets. It was nice to relax and watch a movie at night (from the DVD library). The foam bed was super soft; too soft for our liking. So if you like a firmer mattress, be warned. Then there's always the futon sofa to sleep on (we didn't try that). Overall, we enjoyed the place and our stay.

I needed a place to stay for a month and a week while I looked for more permanent lodging in Sebastopol ( a highly sought after town to live in). Johnny made it easy for me book the Hide Away in Rio Nido for the time I needed and he checked in with me periodically to see how I was doing and wether or not I needed anything. I was initially disappointed by The Hide Away when I discovered that it is in fact a duplex and not an entire place/apt as listed. So it took some getting used to once I had neighbors on the other side of a not so thick wall. That was the only major cramp in my style that I felt challenged by and as I got more and more used to being in a duplex temporarily I found that the Hide Away met my needs and all in all it was a comfortable and productive stay/experience. I particularly appreciated the Hide Aways proximity to Armstrong Woods which I found particularly soothing when I needed a peaceful and quiet walk among the Redwoods.

Great place tucked away in the trees of Rio Nido. Check-in was a breeze, and it was nice to have a couple bottles of wine waiting for us. Best bonus was that it was a 2-minute walk to the Rio Nido Roadhouse, where there was a cover band playing on the lawn and good food and drink.

Great space, convenient, clean, and perfect for what we needed for the weekend. Highly recommend, close to the city center, and the host set everything up to make the space accommodating. He also responds very quickly to emails and questions!

The room was great. Big, clean and the bed super comfy. Surrounded by huge redwood trees. Lovely! I didn't get a chance to talk on the phone with host but we played phone tag and he was clear with instructions and polite.

Johnny's proximity to Guerneville is very convenient. The studio well appointed, new, modern and clean. Unclear from the photos but good to note that the bedroom is part of the main living room/dining room separated by a screen; convenient for us to keep an eye on our toddler from bed. Not a whole lot of natural light, but we got by with windows, front door, bathroom door open(sky light in bathroom). That all being said it is a good studio, with all the creature comforts you could need. What made our stay difficult wasn't Johnny's fault. The bedroom wall is shared with one of his other rental properties. Walls between are thin and bad luck for us to be there on the night of a wall/bed shaking loud party next door. We let Johnny know and he phoned them. They quieted down shortly after midnight by shutting off music with the actual party ending at 3am when they all left/stopped talking. Normally those situations would be amenable with earplugs but when you have a toddler that's difficult to get to sleep, it became a rough night. To make up for our experience, Johnny offered us a free future stay of 1 night which was unexpected and generous of him to offer.

This place was fantastic. Looks better in person than in photos. Very fairly priced and has all the amenities you need for a comfortable stay. We had a wonderful time here.

We had a great time at Riverview. The space and amenities are exactly the same as photos and descriptions. The bed was comfortable. The kitchen was well stocked. It was such a nice place to hang out between activities and the view is lovely. We'd love to stay longer next time.

Loved the space! Super comfy, nice, wide open upstairs with great, fully equipped kitchen. Downstairs bedrooms are comfortable and clean. Decks are wonderful with great views of redwoods and river. Peter was very easy to work with and super communicative. Very relaxing stay. Would happily rent again!

Peter is the recent owner and has a nice property and understandably wants to keep it that way, so has a few extra screening steps required to vet prospective guests since he doesn't meet you in person. It is worth the extra effort though to enjoy such a clean, well designed space in a gorgeous setting where feeling relaxed and comfortable are unavoidable. The house and the bedrooms are quiet, the upstairs has lots of natural light, everything is convenient to the property, the views are great and you will appreciate the time spent in this private vacation retreat.

Perfect setting for relaxing and enjoying the company of family and friends, and perhaps a bottle of wine. The pictures are beautiful, but still don't do the views justice. Peter also provided some restaurant recommendations for our first night. We just loved our whole stay.

Great place with wonderful view of the river!

My friend and I loved Riverview! We wanted to lay low and cook in the redwoods with lots of quiet and chill around us. The cabin totally delivered! The kitchen is new and nice which was a really nice amenity. It was also nice that the living room is on a different floor from the bedrooms. It is a big space, for this area! A lot of the cabins in Monte Rio are much smaller, and less updated. Would totally rent again and thank you, Peter, we loved it. :)

This is a great little getaway spot. Monte Rio is very quiet but there's also not much to do. We were on a "working vacation" so this was fine for us. Take the short drive in to Guerneville to hit the Safeway for groceries. There's a bit more night life there, restaurants and shops.

Jennifer was friendly and responsive. The neighborhood was quiet and peaceful, truly steps from the Russian River. We loved the view from the backyard and the quaint town of Guerneville. It was a peaceful vacation!

Great little place right by the river! Had everything we needed, even some life jackets for our small kids and a canoe. Great place for families.

Jennifer's little house by the river was the perfect retreat for me and my friends. We had friends visiting from Germany and we wanted a central location to explore a bit of Sonoma County and the coast and this was definitely the perfect spot. Jennifer's house is wonderful and cozy with sweet little touches all throughout and the garden is so special and provided a great outdoor place for relaxing end enjoying our meals. The neighborhood is very quiet and we took walks in the evening I was able to enjoy running in the early mornings. We all agreed we would highly recommend her place and hope we can visit again in the future. Thank you Jennifer!

A truly beautiful house! Our family of 6 had a relaxing break enjoying your very well appointed house. The outside area is just perfect for a sun lit morning coffee and a good book. Very nice house with separate cabins and bathrooms. Rooms were very clean and neat. Well equipped including TV with Netflix, heaters and even heated mattresses. Nice features to have when the weather is really cold in the winter. Host has made every effort to make house welcoming and comfortable. Neighborhood is quiet, convenient to the river and town (15 minutes walk). Lots of wineries and restaurants nearby and easy drive to pacific coast. Very good value and would recommend.

These little cottages are just magical. There are so many lovely design details throughout and everything was very functional and comfortable. The two cottage set-up was great with kids as we could stay up without worrying about waking them. It would also be great with two couples as you can have your own space. We loved the short walk to the river so we didn't have to load up the car. Jennifer is a wonderful host, we'd love to come back again!

We weren't able to use any of the amenities (river access, canoes, patio, BBQ etc.) due to the nature of our trip, but all was clean and well appointed. The cottages were comfortable, cozy and fit our party well. It was raining, so even the cute patio went unused. It was there and inviting. Nice to see out the windows.

Arriving to find so many well thought out details was refreshing and getting comfortable was easy. The fully equipped kitchen is a great social setting and open to a courtyard full of herbs fruit and flowers. The weather did not encourage use of the canoe but we enjoyed exploring near the river and being a short drive to the coast too. This is a great quiet and cozy place to stay and I imagine warmer weather opens up many reasons to stay even longer.

Cute, clean, and comfortable jumping-off point for two old friends exploring Sonoma County. The hot tub was hot, the bed and sofa bed were soft and warm (nice linens), and many thoughtful details were taken care of -- from robes in the closet to a stash of hot cocoa to power strips right where you need them to charge your devices. We counted 46 items of nautical decor -- stay at Heather's place next time you're in the area and check our work!

I had a great stay. Everything was exactly as described and went very smoothly. Getting in and out of the house was easy and convenient and we felt secure and comfortable. In fact I have never slept on a more comfortable pull out mattress. Thank you for having nice furniture and keeping everything clean and tidy. Since it was raining during one of the days it was the highlight of the night to just stay in the hot tub which was plenty big enough for myself and my three other girl friends. We felt welcome and especially surprised by the bottle of bubbly! Thank you for hosting us for a girls weekend and we can't wait to visit again.

The beds were so comfortable and the place was just what we needed. It was very close to wineries and Irene left some amazing eggs and bread to start our day. I'll would stay there again in a heartbeat.

We felt very welcome with open feel of the house, and stocking the kitchen with a few key items was a wonderful touch. The beds were very comfortable and everything was very modern. We were pleasantly surprised by the fresh bread, sodas, eggs, coffee, cream, shampoo, etc. Patio area was sunny and relaxing. But less pleasantly surprised by the lack of other basic amenities such as coffee maker, toaster, and microwave, not clearly listed on the amenities. The house instructions were rather sparse, had to look up how to use a french press, and turns out pets are not that welcome on the all white furniture. Odd only one end table for both bedrooms, and the second bedroom has no windows. No much lighting in living room. Location is great - quiet street, short walk to river access and the best burgers in N Cal (Garden Grill). As long as you are prepared, it is a great place for a River weekend and a great value!

Super cute house in the woods. Location is private but also very close to the main drag of guerneville. Very close to Armstrong woods for some really great hiking and redwood tree viewing. House was super clean and the front door lock is controlled by code which makes it very easy/ convenient. Irene was a great host and left us with some local coffee and treats. Definitely recommend this house if you are visiting the Russian river area.

We had an amazing stay. The house was so peaceful and incredibly close to town and the Armstrong State park. We will stay here again! Our host answered any questions within minutes. Next time we will stay longer than a weekend.

Irene was very responsive to my questions before I arrived. My best friend and I used the space for a work retreat. The location was convenient to restaurants and a grocery store, but perfect in its privacy from the hub-bub of the city. The house was comfortable and clean and the yard was charming. It was a good value with plenty of space. I wish I had made time to go taste some wine or do some sightseeing in Sonoma county, but instead we got tons of work done.

This is a great cottage. It is nicely appointed, the fireplace is fantastic, and the deck is really nice. It feels bigger than it is due to all the light. We had a great stay. Irene left us a great bottle of Korbel Brut Rose which we devoured upon arrival :). I was able to bring my 2 dogs, and Irene was very accommodating. The linens were clean and fresh. Very cozy place and it was close enough to Jenner and the coast for us to easily explore. I would definitely stay here again! Great place.

The place is extremely clean and comfortable. Entrance to the house was easy, and there was plenty of room to park. The house is within walking distance of Guerneville and a short drive to the gorgeous Armstrong Redwoods State Natural Reserve.

This stay far exceeded our expectations! The home felt very new, very clean, and had a great location (close to downtown)!! Our hosts were so flexible with check-in/check out, and communicated clearly and often. Everything we needed for our stay was available - a well stocked kitchen, laundry, heaters, tons of extra blankets and towels, a gorgeous patio, and lots of natural light coming in. It was also situated in a great suburban neighborhood, and perfect for walking around, especially to the downtown area. It was a great getaway for our group. We were so impressed - we will definitely be coming back!

The Olive Cottage is a clean, cute and conveniently located in Guerneville. We easily walked to shopping and places to eat. We loved the quiet and and peaceful setting so close to everything. The cottage is well maintained, super clean and we would gladly stay again!

This place is so cute. Perfect for you and your dog. Clean, quaint, great location. Pay 10$ to use highlands pool from 10-6pm. My only gripe is that it's booked through the summer. I would highly recommend this little cottage to anyone. Hosting was fast and efficient as well. No complaints / 5 star

A lovely cottage, suitable for 4 people. Feels recently updated, cosy with the gas fire. Really nice to sit out on the deck in the afternoon. Only a short walk into town. We really enjoyed our stay and thought it was good value.

Such a lovely, relaxing place. The house is darling and very clean. The hosts were quite nice and easy to work with. They let me know they were there if I needed anything but let me have my privacy. They also thought of everything - so many little niceties. I spent the evening, and the next morning, on the patio, enjoying the gorgeous weather and listening to birds and crickets. I had my dogs with me and appreciated the gated deck so they could hang out and nap in the sunshine. Wish I could have stayed longer.

Great cottage in the heart of the Russian River Valley. Walking distance to shops and restaurants. A very short drive or bike ride to Armstrong Redwoods. The space was super clean, and well stocked with extra heaters, fans, blankets, and pillows. There was even a piano for those that play. Didn't even miss the lack of a TV. The host made everything easy for us. This location is a great jumping off point to the coast or the many wineries in the area. Would definitely recommend the Olive House.

Conveniently close (by car) to downtown, serene surroundings, amazing amenities! Fully stocked kitchen with all the basics. Lovely host (from the two minutes of interaction). There was a bottle of red on the table and even a bottle of Jack Daniels in the freezer, which was a nice touch. Also, towels for days. All the towels you could possibly need. The coffee table seems like it's a puzzle, but after 15 minutes of flipping it around trying to figure out how to open (what seemed to be) a drawer, my partner and I concluded that it is just a coffee table with a mysterious box that can't be removed. Perfect for a weekend getaway to Guerneville. I'm at my lame desk job in the city wishing I could be back there.

Had an excellent two nights here. Very comfortable bed- an all around cozy place. We took advantage of some of the restaurants recommended in the description and they were right on. Lovely area too.

Ocean and his mom were great hosts. The wireless router crashed, and they had it replaced immediately, so the internet was back up and running within the hour. Thanks again for that, Mina! I recommend a visit to nearby Armstrong Woods to walk among the giant redwoods.

About the hosts: they responded quickly, were flexible and tried to accommodate us (though we weren't able to take them up on their offers because of our own schedule). About the place: I ended up not being able to go at the last minute due to an emergency so my husband went alone. He says it would have been a nice, cozy place for two people with a great location. However, he found the studio to be very unclean. So much so that it made his stay pretty physically uncomfortable. He didn't share with the host during the weekend for fear that it would make for an awkward remainder of the stay. Upon his return we did communicate in detail about these issues and the hosts were very responsive. It is almost impossible for us to be able to get away so the condition of the home did make for a disappointing experience especially at the price we paid.

The house is beautiful and made our stay extra special! You can tell Bob really cares for the house – a lot of time has been put into decorating and making the space feel cozy. The views were stunning to enjoy in the morning and in the afternoon while grilling. We definitely plan on coming back!

Bob’s place was a fantastic find. The home was more than spacious for our group of four. The home and bedrooms were all extremely clean and eclectically styled . Most importantly, the deck is beyond commodious and invites you to enjoy the beautiful view of the trees, where you can sit in the hot tub and listen to the sounds of nature. I would highly recommend Bob’s place for anybody looking to a nice getaway. I plan to return next year.

Bob was very responsive with the booking and additional questions that came up prior to check in. The home was beautiful and the all the windows provided great natural light that made you feel like you were always outside. The home is on top of a hillside, and makes you feel miles away from the ordinary, but you are still within a couple miles from town. The welcome book provided all the details you needed about the area and the home.

Bob has a beautiful home with a lovely view of the redwoods. The book was extremely helpful in figuring out where things were and even had great restaurant suggestions! The house also is a great place to just stay in and grill.

Everything! This was one of the nicest places I've ever stayed. Loved the decor, the layout and the amenities. Would love to come back again. It really felt like you were secluded among the redwoods - the outdoor shower on the deck is amazing.

Bob's place is stunning. The views of the forest are incredible. The interior of the home is just as lovely and made for a very relaxing break. The location is an easy 5 to 10 minute drive from Guerneville, though you probably won't want to leave the house once you arrive! Bob is a great host and I will definitely stay here again.

Wow. Just wow. There are friggin' redwoods outside Bob's house. In the yard! If you've never been to wine country or seen the redwoods or the rocky pacific coast, Bob's house is the place to stay! Our party was 4,two couples, and we stayed comfortably in the home. The decor was absolutely phenomenal. Bob is quite gifted in interior design. For our trip, we went to the austin redwood reserve (10 mins away), guerneville (5 minutes) napa (60 minutes) healdsburg (excellent wine area) (30 minutes) the pacific coast (45 minutes, to the northwest). We cooked using bob's pots and pans which were sufficient, and saved a lil money on the trip. I would definitely stay there again should the need arise for another large party trip to the mountains.

Very lovely cabin in the redwoods! We especially enjoyed the view from the dining area, the fireplace, and the jacuzzi. Craig was extremely helpful and communicative!

We loved everything about our visit! We were looking for a comfortable, well-appointment home with lots of privacy and surrounded by trees. That's absolutely what was offered! Our biggest mistake was not staying longer!

Overall, we really enjoyed this home! We loved the sunroom and actually spent most of our time hanging out at the dining table looking at the trees and the squirrels and listening to the rain on the glass. The layout of the home was great and the light in there was wonderful. The hot tub was clean and the temp perfect, and we loved how private it felt. (The stairs getting to it are long and steep, though, so if you have mobility issues, getting to the hot tub might be a challenge.) We also really, really appreciated the great technology we had access to--excellent Wi-Fi and a nice entertainment system. I would recommend bringing your own pans to cook with, though, as the ones there are pretty worn. And if you don't want to be responsible for washing towels, I would bring your own. The couch is very tired but was comfortable. Shane and Craig were excellent hosts and were very accessible and answered emails/texts within minutes. We would definitely stay there again!

The place was great. Everything was as described. The hot tub was awesome. The satellite cabin was super cool. Shane and Craig are really quick to respond to any issues you might have during your stay. Would definitely recommend.

This is a wonderful place!! It's surrounded by redwoods yet the all-glass solarium and the skylight (that is beautiful situated so that you are looking up at a very large redwood) bring in a lot of light. The kitchen is clearly designed for cooking and the fireplace plus comfy couch make for many hours of quality lounging. It's less than 10 min from Guerneville and Armstrong Woods, so many food, coffee and hiking options. A bonus was watching the woodpeckers come and go to the bird feeder outside the kitchen window. A treat to see them up close!

We had a great time at Velouria for our girl's weekend. The space is clean and well-stocked, and the setting is beautiful. We had some issues with the smoke alarm when cooking or using the oven, but Shane and Craig were on top of it and it ended up being no big deal. The hot tub was awesome. The road in and out is bumpy- glad we had a truck. But that's part of the charm for being a little bit off the beaten path, and the house is a quick drive to town and wineries. It was great.

We thoroughly enjoyed are stay. The place was clean and the layout was novel -- and completely usable. The “yard”, the external “cabin” and the tub area were all spectacularly beautiful. The hosts were very communicative and responded quickly to any of our inquiries. We came in late at night and had trouble finding the property. They remotely turned on the lights and we spotted the right place immediately. Recommended.

Seriously wonderful place in the Redwoods. Shane & Craig were super easy to communicate with and had everything laid out so check-in was simple. This place is a dream if you're into quiet, relaxing forest getaways. Thoroughly recommend!
