Amazing view. Beautiful apartment with fully equipped kitchen. Long walks to get to attractions like waterfall but with the gorgeous scenery it's not a problem. Renting bikes or having a car is recommended.

The cabin was wonderful and better than I was expecting. A couple of minutes out of the local town/village, perched on a hillside with views across a dramatic valley. It is in the grounds of a guesthouse so separate from the main property but not completely isolated, which I found to be the perfect balance. The owners were lovely - very warm and welcoming and there whenever needed, but happy to leave you to your own devices and stay - again, the perfect balance for my stay. The cabin itself is simple but impressive. Very clean, deceptively large inside, with TV, dishwasher, oven/hob, fridge, a small sitting area around a table and a very cool large woodburner in the middle of the room. Lovely large double bed and en-suite were fine and just what was needed after a days hiking. You have woodland behind you and this is a working property so there were shetland ponies and Roe deer in the paddocks around the cabin - lovely to watch with a glass of something strong on the patio at the front of the cabin. The location is excellent - 40 mins from Salzburg, and in roughly an hour you have German national parks, countless valleys and glaciers and ski lifts and mountain top lakes and reservoirs and more than I could possibly fit in in the 5 days I was there. As a result, I will be coming back I hope. The town down the road is quaint and has everything functional you need alongside some lovely character, restaurants and cafes. Wish I had longer here. We had very nice days in Tennengau and would always go back. The house is vis-a-vis the guest house, so that you are not completely undisturbed but we had it very quiet.

Beautifull location!

It was an incredibly nice stay. The cottage has a magnificent view of the mountains. And the inside is very cozy. The check in and out was very straightforward.

This cabin is absolutely lovely and I cannot recommend it enough. Myself ad my boyfriend stayed there for 4 nights. It is clean, cosy and comfortable. The firs night we arrived was a bit rainy and Monika and the other people there were so welcoming, they lit the fire for us and made sure we had enough wood. We had lovely weather for the rest of the stay and sitting on the terrace looking at the view was lovely. The location is great, not far from Salzburg, we rode here on a motorbike but it would be very easy to fly and hire a car too. There is a B&B next to the cabin but it was so quiet ad peaceful, it really was not a problem at all. There is parking there. We had a lovely stay here and would love to come back again one day. The "gingerbread" has our expectations fully met and even exceeded. First of all, it seemed to us upon arrival that the cabin is even more spacious than it gives the impression on the pictures. From the level of equipment is all that you need in order to obtain supplies on the vacation itself, to tea towels and a hair dryer. Although we have not had all to spring-like temperatures in the beginning of March, it was enough, the fireplace in the evening to fire to still have a comfortable temperature in the living room and the next morning two to three hours. Just as little should come in bed to shiver here waiting good bedding and the rest a large bed. Even our little dog has felt very good: in the living room provides ample space to a dog basket, blanket etc. construed quite dogs that are larger than a pug :) The location of the cottage is also appealing. Facing south located one looks down on the Salzach, which offers both in sunshine and at night its charm ... even Salzburg is yet in sight. The cottage is a good starting point to begin the countryside, whether for a leisurely walk or challenging tours. For the latter, there is the whole area a well-linked network of signposted hiking and mountain bike trails. No question that we had is long remained open, the hostess Monika for us was always reachable by phone. Thus would the entire process from the time of booking, on arrival relaxed may not be up to the checkout. Locally her mother has provided us with very good advice for hiking, exploring, shopping and eating and was also very friendly and helpful. We had a very nice holiday here can Monika and her gingerbread house only recommend and will come back for sure!

Arrived in sunny "Salzburg" we enjoyed our stay at the Gingerbread House. The magnificent view of the snowy peaks all around impressed us. After a walk or trip to the nearby Salzburg in the evening the cozy warm room welcomed us. We spent a thoroughly beglückendes and cozy Christmas.

Great place, great location, great beds, great rooms. From the site you can go either way, into the mountains, to Salzburg. Ask the lessor to a so-called Tannenbaum guest card, then for 4 euros and down the train to Salzburg.

You will not forget staying at Christopher's historic home. We loved waking up to the Alps on the front yard. So quaint and charming!

An ideal location to explore the very pretty local town or further afield Salzburg. Serenely quiet with a beautiful backdrop of the mountains. Unfortunately, we had a power cut on both consecutive days which was frustrating as we could barely see to use the bathroom and were unable to use / do anything until it was resolved. Christopher was most apologetic and did try to resolve it quickly. We understand the issue has now been resolved going forward but was a shame for us.

Best AirBnB I've experienced! Fantastic mountain views right out the bedroom window, quiet neighborhood, and close to Salzburg. Our dogs were happily welcomed and loved the space. It's an old house, rustic and is an experience in itself. Not too far down the road is a nice trail in Golling with crystal clear blue streams, ponds and a waterfall. It's an hour from Hallstatt and not too far is the Lammerklamm. Chris was a great host, very friendly and helpful with anything we needed!

We really enjoyed staying in such a charmingly rustic, old house...from 1690! Our host was friendly and helpful. He provided more than the basic amenities (milk, eggs, coffee and even beer!) He is obviously taking his time doing a thoughtful and thorough restoration. He is still in the process, but we think you will still find the cottage cozy and comfortable. The location is wonderful! It's 30 minutes from the south of Salzburg. Our children loved the llamas, cows, and free range chickens all around. We loved the view of the Alps from the front door!

If you're looking for a quiet and out of the way place this is for you. Rustic, authentic with lots of modern touches. Chris is a fantastic host and let's you explore the house and area. Renovations are still on going but we love that type of thing. Loved the history and the story of the farm village. Great little town, Gooling, great restaurants and bars in the foothills of the Sound of Music Alps. Enjoy

Staying in this historic home from the 1690's was an experience we will long remember with fondness. It felt like we had gone back in time. It was cold at night until the furnace started to take effect, but other than that the ambience and picturesque location were amazing! Our host was very kind and helpful, communicating with us multiple times about directions, sights to see, and even a local restaurant and waterfall that are must-see's! The home is definitely old but for us that was unique and fun. The views are breathtaking.

Chris' house lays very charming in the countryside near Salzburg. Old farmhouse with plenty of space. The house has nice old details, some things have to be fixed, but for us it has its charm. And Chris gives our family a warm welcome. With our family (3 teenagers) a lovely place to stay for a few days.

Me and my husband spent a couple of days here, we were very happy with everything. The host was friendly and helpful to us, providing information and tips about the surrounding area. The view from the house is gorgeous and the cleanliness impressed us. We would certainly recommend it.

Cosy rural farm house in a clean unspoiled virgin Alpine contryside. The room with own bathroom was perfectly clean and comfortable. Marvelous view from the terrace to the valley and mountain peaks of Alps. Little bit far from the civilization. Comparing with high prices of the accommodation in about 8 km distant Berchtesgaden the required price seems to be very reasonable. Perfect and rich breakfast is included.

A wonderful short trip! Both the location is terrific - in the middle of a small mountain village with an overwhelming view (& 20 minutes by car to different sights), as well as from the family hospitality. Every morning we were expecting a delicious breakfast, lovingly lighting a candle - we were looking forward to it every day. The dear hostess always found a few words for the exchange and gave us tips. Every day our beds were made and looked after towels etc. The price-performance ratio is exemplary. We will definitely be back!

Golling is small and tiny town but lot of attractions around. Margrit is wonderful host who is always ready to help. House is in quite place, 5 mins walk to city center with shops and restaurants. Beautiful view from rooms, fully equipped kitchen, you can even cook a cake is you want. There were a lot of games for our daughter to play in the evening. Margrit prepared folder with attractions round Golling where you can go. She also did for us Tennengau card which gives discounts to sightseeing and transportation. We spent wonderful week in Golling in Margrit's apartments. It's a place where you want to come back!

We have visited the accommodation of Margrit by 5 people. Margrit has received us very warmly, offer advice and vouchers for the children and even done telephone reservations. The apartment was extremely clean and cozy. The view of the mountains is impressive. Many attractions are within a short path. On our trip through Austria we can all agree that staying with Margrit was the best time of the holiday. Thank you so much for the wonderful time. We will definitely come back again.

Our family of 5 had a great stay at Margrit's house. Golling is a lovely town about 25 minutes outside of Salzburg. It was a great village location outside of the city. We found it very easy to get around to different places, (Salzburg, St Gilgen, Berchtesgaden). Margrit made us feel very welcome. She had tips on directions and parking in Salzburg. The house was very clean, the view was beautiful, the beds were comfortable, and Margrit did our washing at a reasonable price! For future visitors: The Salzburg Card was very good value for our days in the city. It can be purchased from the tourist information office in Golling. We highly recommend this house and hope to return one day soon.

We had a wonderful time staying in Margrit's house in Golling. The location was great- about 30 minutes to most of the attractions. The small town was very nice and there was a supermarket, coffees and restaurants close to the house. The house had everything we needed and even board-games for the kids. The only disadvantage was that there was no garden for the kids to play in. The garden that appears in the picture is not accessible. Margrit, who lives at the top floor of the house (her parents live at the bottom floor. We lived in the middle floor, between them), was very kind and welcoming and answered all of our questions warmly. We would definitely like to visit again.

Our stay at "Haus Margrit" was a fantastic experience. The accommodations were very comfortable and pleasant, and the view of the Alps out of the living room window was breathtaking. The house is located in the charming village of Golling an der Salzach, Austria, which is located about 30 minutes south of Salzburg. It was very convenient to drive into Salzburg for sightseeing, and we also enjoyed exploring the little shops in Golling itself. The host, Margrit Hörbiger, was very friendly and helpful. She speaks English well enough to make all the necessary arrangements, but it is a bonus if you can speak German with her. It is then that her true charm and personality really come through. I highly recommend "Haus Margrit"!

The home of Margrit Golling gave birth fine, everything we needed was available. It was clean and looked neat. Comfy beds, plenty of space, nice view, good location near Salzburg, and half an hour from ski Flachau. We were looking for a house for eight people, while we arrived at the home of Margrit. After booking, showed that the cost of six people were mentioned. For eight people, we could have an extra room to rent extra 196 euros. Since we ultimately went with six people, we have to pay., But 98 euro Fine resolved, the extra room also liked fine, extra bathroom with shower and toilet! Beautiful walking environment and excellent sauna next deur.We like to come back once more.

It was very nice stay. It´s not so far away from Salzburg and you can easily use train, if you dont want to go by car to Salzburg, it takes just 20minutes... very clean and nice room as well. Thanks.

Everything was as expected. Communication was good. The apparentment is in a quiet area close to the highway, which is convenient. About 20 minutes drive from Salzburg. Tip, if you're arriving on a Sunday, make sure you've already done the groceries. Everything in Hallein was closed.

Apartment is located in the heart of the historic part of Hallein and easy walking distance from the train station. It takes about 25 minutes to get into Salzburg while offering a smaller town feel when you want it. Places to hike or bike, small shops and lots of choices for coffee or a meal.

Really wonderful apartment, in a great position to easily reach also Salzburg and nearby attraction. Really really good looking and clean apartment, and nice host. My only little problem was the absence of blinds and the 78 bell dings at 6AM, but having to be up early anyway it was not that bad. Other than that, really great experience.

Wow, what an amazing place. The scenery is breathtaking an dis in a secluded quiet location complete with baby goats next door! We really enjoyed having a drink on the balcony over looking the mountains after a day of sight seeing. This is the best Airbnb I've ever stayed in and everything one could expect from a trip to the Austrian alps! Anja's place is the POSTCARD CHALET and the small details (like a little chocolate under your pillow) are just adorable. This place has everything you'd expect and everything you would've wanted but forgot at home! AMAZING!

So much better than we could have expected. The home is a few miles off the main road and overlooks a meadow surrounded by snow capped mountains. Within walking distance of the house are mountain trails, a waterfall and an adorable little chapel. The house was clean and comfortable. We particularly enjoyed the magnificent views from the porch (we even saw red deer early in the morning). Anja was the perfect host, very responsive and had her sister waiting for us when we arrived. Our party had the upstairs two bedroom apartment. There appears to be rooms available downstairs as well, but we had the entire house to ourselves during our stay.

Anja and Leo were perfect hosts for this perfect home. We loved the atmosphere, the view, the tickling of the nearby sheep bells. Plenty to do in the area. And the view of the stars! Breathtaking!

Elfi's house is an amazing farmhouse that has been transformed by Helmut her husband and artist. There is a wonderful garden with plenty of apple trees where some hens and ducks run around. For you breakfast you will get some fresh eggs and other local products. Elfi and Helmut will provide you a very warm welcome that you won't forget. We stayed in August and the scenery and location of Elfi's and Helmut's house is breathtaking! The house was lovely and rustic, and Elfi recommended and arranged a beautiful meal for us all at a local restaurant. Highly recommend this stay, and only 25 mins from Salzburg.

My family with two young children have been backpacking across Europe for two weeks now and this is the most lovely place we've stayed yet. Elfi's hospitality makes you feel like you are a part of her family. Her home is beautiful and her husband is a fantastic artist so the room is filled with artwork and charm. She fills your fridge with meats, cheese, breads, eggs, and milk for delicious breakfasts and plenty for evening snacks too! Thanks you Elfi for making this such a wonderful stay!!

We adored our stay at Elfi and Helmuts. The air was fresh, the garden inspiring and a wonderful night sleep and hearty breakfast. We loved driving through the Austrian countryside to arrive at the beautiful historic home. Elfi greeted us, even though we were late, and made sure we had everything we needed.

Elfi's house definitely is the one of my favorite experiences with airbnb. They're the most warmth and kindest host that I had. Their house full of art and you can see alps just sitting in their balcony. Also, this house is full of history(almost 700 years) that's so incredible! I'm highly recommend that you should experience once in your life and I'm sure you will enjoy this as I did.

Our stay in Villa Karin was perfect, we loved the apartment, and were warmly welcomed by Karin. The views out the windows were beautiful, and the balconies lovely. bedding comfortable, and kitchen well stocked. Would stay happily stay here again.

Karin's place was one of the best places I've ever stayed! A 5 star hotel quality in a cozy village near Salzburg. Almost everything was brand new and very clean. It was big enough for 5 people. 3 balconies to enjoy the winter sun and birds singing in freezing cold. We had our own car, so the transportation to Salzburg was not a problem. But due to the heavy and unexpected traffic in the city center first day, we parked the car at the train station and get the train in the second day. From the train station we took the bus to the center. There was a supermarket nearby and we found everything. Karin was so sweet and very helpful all the time, and she was offering much more then we expected. I thank Karin for her perfect hospitality and being a great person. I definitely recommend the place.

Our family of 6 plus my mom really enjoyed our stay at Karin's place! She was extremely responsive and helpful with our stay in Salzburg. She was so nice to meet us when we arrived late in the evening and came to say goodbye prior to our departure. Her place was beautifully decorated, comfortable beds, gorgeous views, quaint village, and she was kind enough to provide a high chair and pack and play for our 1 year old. We would highly recommend her place to anyone looking to visit Salzburg but not stay directly in the city. Easy drive into the city. Wonderful little bakery and market in the center of town as well as a beautiful church. We throughly enjoyed our stay!

Had unit three in Karin's building. We have stayed with Airbnb about ten times now and Karin as a host was one of the best (we've met some really great hosts) and Karin's apartment might have been the best. You are surrounding by picturesque scenery on multiple sides of the apartment, and itch three aides having Windows and balconies with views of valleys or mountains. The 3 bedrooms were all well separated and gave everyone privacy. Parking was easy, the apartment was well furnished and Karin greeted us and explained the area and gave us great advice. The location was also a great launching point to Hallstatt and Salzburg. This unit was fantastic in October and I can only imagine how wonderful it is in summer when you can be outside on the balconies. We appreciate Karin going above and beyond and will recommend to our friends her place in the future. Thanks Karin.

We loved our stay at Lisa's place. The communication with Lisa was fantastic. Due to traffic problems, we arrived too late, but she understood. The appartement was really clean and cosy. It's a great place to stay if you want to visit Berchtesgaden.

Had a great time in Berchesgarden and loved the place we stayed in.it has everything you need. Its Cosy, comfortable and has a beautiful view of the mountains. We had a swim in the indoor pool located in the apartment block our first day, it was great. Lisa is a great host and gave us good recommendations of restaurants and also gave us a local beer to try in the fridge. We had dinner for my birthday at the place called "Kurz a Curry" great food! Its close to Eagles nest and lake Koningsee. And theres a few shops near by. Very convenient.

Lisa gave us a very nice and showed us important in the property. Moreover us a great trail recommended which we tried the same. Super thank you!

I felt very comfortable in Lisa's cute apartment. It was everything you need, the view from the balcony is fantastic, Edeka is around the corner and the train station is only 10 min. Walk. Lisa was very helpful, picked me up from the train station and gave lots of tips. If I come again to Berchtesgaden (and I will be sure), I will gladly stay there again.

Joe and Ale's place is in the perfect location for hiking and to go to Konigsee. As part of the tourist tax you have to pay you get free local bus travel as well, so that was an added perk! I loved the area and Joe was super friendly and helpful throughout. I only met Ale briefly, but she was also lovely. The room is basic but if you are spending your time out and about (which I was), this is not a problem. Thank you Joe and Ale for having me in your home!

After traveling across the world to multiple countries and places, Joe and Alejandra's place in Berchtesgaden was easily our favorite. Their apartment is clean, cozy and central. You can see the Mountains from their apartment and easily catch a bus to hike in them.The price offered to stay at their place is the best you will find in the area, and is the best deal. The were very welcoming, helpful, and kind. They helped us choose where to eat, hike and even how to get to neighboring cities, like Salzburg,Austria and Strasbourg, France. Overall, fantastic and memorable experience. Booking with them will be the best you can get in Berchtesgaden.Thank you Joe & Alejandra!!!

Comfortable room and great communication with the hosts. Joe & Alejandra were very welcoming and kind. Would definitely recommend their place. :)

There place was very nice and Joe and Alejandra are so friendly and great hosts! It was just a little complicated bringing rolling luggage up one of the paths to their place, but it is doable! I wish we were able to stay for more than one night!

Very centrally located, clean and absolutely functional for our stay one night in Berchtesgaden. Joe is a great host and very helpful with everything.

The bed was comfortable. We didn't get any towels. There was a lot of noise inside and outside in the morning. A good location and joe is friendly - never met Ali.

Lovely couple and nicecly located. Would have love to spend more time there - unfortunatly my shedule was really tight. I didn't bother me much but be prepared that The room is rather noisy - I could hear the other guests all the time.
