If you want to see New York, this is a great place! I walked across the George Washington bridge about 4 times while staying here

Lynn stayed up to check me in late at night, which was very accommodating. The space is roomy and close to many restaurants, shops, and WHOLE FOODS. Very fast internet. Highly recommended.

Remarkable space and very welcoming host. Going back in April, would try to stay here every time I am in the area.

Dislikes: The place is a stuffy because there aren't any windows to open. To get fresh air, you must open the door. Likes:There is a nice TV and cable. There was water, juice and individual bags of chips for me. There were notes welcoming me and well a bottle of wine. The place is quiet with a private entrance. FYI: There are several stairs to climb before reaching the room.

This place was a good location! Close to the market and public transit. Stayed with my boyfriend for a couple of nights and we also got lucky with parking! The studio itself was nice and comfortable. Two single beds but my bf and I managed with the top bed. Big washroom, full kitchen and nice set-up living room. Highly recommended for location and price. We would stay there again :)! Lyn is a good host, always ready to help out when needed!

This is a fun, cozy, little place on the third floor of a private house with it's own bathroom in Edgewater NJ. I really liked having my own bed since I was travelling with a friend. I liked the location- I really wished I had more time to eat some of the food around there: Lebanese food, Lobster shack, etc. We did eat at Brownstone Pancake Factory (0.5miles). There is also a Whole foods market (0.6miles), Trader Joe's (1.0miles), Mitsuwa (1.3miles). Parking is doable but you may have to walk a block (in a safe, residential area.) Natalia is very nice and easygoing. I love her dog- he is so laid back.

The water for the shower was not hot enough. Also, it was pretty hard for us to take our luggages up and down the third floor where the room is.

Natalia was a very nice and welcoming host. The top floor is convenient and cozy, we felt at home. Beds very comfortable. The neighborhood itself is secluded from the rush of the city and we took that as a big plus. Overall, we had a pleasant stay. Recommended!

We received warm welcome at Natalia's place. The room looked exactly like on the picture. We had all top floor for us, with the bathroom just opposite the room and the small corridor. We got towels to use for us and the bathroom was cleaned often and trash taken out. Within walking distance were great eateries for breakfast, grocery store and many other stores and services. For getting to town we used mostly the 158 bus (one way at $4,50), which takes about 45 minutes to get to the Port Authority Bus Terminal. With the boat it was $10,50 one way, and it took about 15 mins to get to Midtown by Lincoln Tunnel. We were there to see Manhattan, so we were out most of the day. Yet we found time to interact with the hosts, especially with Ilja since Natalia was traveling. He was very friendly, and told us a lot about life in NJ and gave us lot of tips on what to see and do, and in the end he had even arranged an Uber transport for us to the airport - at his expense. We had really great time and we have lovely memories on our vacations. Natalia, Ilja and their cute boys are really the best we could wish for. I recommend this to everyone who wants to see Manhattan but sleep in the quiet area.

Natalias place is super convenient and just requires hoping on one bus to get to the city. The room is super secluded and half the time I didn't even know if I was alone or not. The place is affordable and there are plenty of places to eat nearby. This place really is one of the best and most affordable places you'll get near New York. You pretty much get the entire 3rd floor to yourself and she didn't even mind when I had a guest over. She super cool and super understanding as is her son Lawrence!!

Charming room in an old house is the perfect description. There's an elegant hand-painted canopy of flowers on the arched bedroom ceiling. The decor is older home meets IKEA. A nice mix of hardwood floors and modern touches. You've got the third floor attic to yourself. That said, if you have trouble managing stairs, think twice. We're 48 and 55 and had no trouble but if you're at all shaky getting around, then skip it. There were extra blankets and other linens neatly folded in the built-ins. Communication was timely and clear. When we provided notice that due to rain, road construction and Friday pm traffic changed our ETA we were effortlessly accommodated (and it was much appreciated). We hope to stay again when visiting nearby family.

Ciler's home is lovely! You have your own private bathroom and the room itself is spacious. It's in a housing community so it's very safe, there's also a gym and other recreational activities available if you like. The area is great, there's malls near by and lots of food options! If you need to go into NYC, theres a bus stop right outside the community that gets you to Midtown in around 20 mins, easy and convenient! Ciler is a wonderful host and extremely accommodating. Her place is warm, cozy, clean, in a great location, and totally worth it! Highly recommended!

Skander is an amazing host! The apartment is centrally located and has amazing views of Manhattan. It offers easy access to major highways and is very close to NYC. It was comfortable private space. Convenient location to go to manhattan with public bus service. Close to grocery stores and restaurants. Fatih was supportive.

I had to extend my stay and Fatih was very accommodating and helpful in arranging it to happen. Certainly felt like home in this room with its separate bathroom and entrance. Will stay again next time if I am in the area!

Fatih was always there when you needed anything and was very welcoming. I stayed here for over a week and he always checked up on me to see if I needed anything. The location is super convenient as well. Walking distance to restaurants, coffee shops, grocery stores and more. Had no trouble finding parking for my car in this area, which could be difficult in other parts of Jersey. Enjoyed some nice runs in the morning along the water as well.

The apartment was clean, private and cozy. The host was attentive and accommodating. The location is centrally located closed walking distance to shops, cafes, WholeFoods and the ferry that takes you to Midtown. I will stay here again.

Awesome Experience!!! This was my first time at Air BnB and the experience was simply amazing. I stayed at Orit's place for almost 2 months and it was the most comfortable experience. Orit is an amazing host and a very friendly person. She was always there in case of any questions and the response was always immediate. The apartment is very spacious and it is also stacked with some snacks / drinks etc for the guest's comfort. The bus stop is just 2 minutes walk and there are a few good restaurants around. NY Port Authority bus terminal is just 20 minutes and the bus frequency is every 5 - 10 minutes. I would give this a 5 star rating and would definitely recommend this place to my friends.

This was an awesome experience! Everything was laid out perfectly. So relaxing and so clean. Better than an hotel or resort I have stayed in a while. My wife and I thoroughly Loved It! Please don't hesitate to book here, it's awesome!

My parents stayed at Orit's place for more than 2weeks and they loved loved and loved their stay! Location was perfect! They said it was way better than last stay in queens area to go visit manhattan. The way on the bus to manhattan, It was a wonderful view along the hudson river they said. Orit´s apartment was great! We had a really good time and it looks just like the pictures. Very comfortable and clean. She was very helpful answering all our questions and I wouldn´t hesitate to stay here again. I loved the furniture and every design decision in the apartment. The place was very nice and spacious. It looked even better than the photos. It was in a good location ( close to NYC) except if you plan on driving to NYC from this place, you have to pay $15 every time you want to use the road to get in. Overall the stay was very nice and Peter responds quickly to questions.

Peter was a great host! He was easy to get in touch with. His place is located right by the water ferry in Edgewater which made things easier to get into the city. The house was exactly how he described it. Definitely wouldn't mind staying here again.

Great location, safe and quiet neighborhood, clean townhouse, great deal!

For me and my wife it was our first experience of using the Airbnb service and I must say it was really wonderful. When we arrived at Joy's place we found everything exactly the way it was described in the listing. Joy was very kind and attentive to us. It was still very cold and snowy outside, but inside the place it was very warm and cozy even though it was basement level. The studio was clean and was decorated with vintage furniture, yet with modern kitchen appliances. The bed was extremely conformable to sleep on. There were plenty of plates, cups, cutlery, towels, hangers, etc. We practically didn't have to get anything additional to use the place on day-to-day basis. Joy made sure that we felt like at home and even improved our Internet surfing experience by getting a Wi-Fi extender for us. Her friends and relatives also made us feel comfortable and happy by cleaning the outside snow and even spending time with us on St. Patrick’s Day! In a word, our stay was really memorable and if we ever travel to Edgewater again, we will be happy to stay with her. We highly recommend her place to everyone who wants to get away from the NYC madness and enjoy the magnificent nature and peaceful shopping of Edgewater and surrounding areas. Thank you, Joy!!! :)

Joy has a lovely private space perfect for almost anything. It's super close to the bus stop that takes you to port authority in 30 minutes on weekends and 40ish minutes in the morning during work rush hours. I recommend downloading the NJ Transit app to pay for the bus fare easily. Vito, Joys husband, and Ayla, her daughter, were who I interacted with during my stay. They periodically checked in on me and made sure I had what I needed. Super friendly and welcoming. They went out of their way to make sure I'd always have a place to park. It made me feel welcomed and like a true guest, not just someone renting out a space. I'd definitely stay here again. The home had everything I needed and I enjoyed my time there!

Stayed at Joy's place an extra couple days. Although it was last minute notice, she was able to accommodate us and extend our stay. She is so so attentive to any needs the guests may have. Her studio is well furnished and has all the amenities. Also she has all the utensils to cook rather than go out to eat all the time. Her studio has everything you could possibly need. Joy is such a gracious host and her studio has a very cozy, at home feel. I really didn't want to leave because her studio was so convenient to everything and she always checked up on us to see if we needed anything. I would highly recommend anyone visiting NYC to stay at Joy's place because it is very convenient to the city via ferry , bus and car without all the busy traffic of the city. Her place is close to so many places to eat out and grocery market is down the street. Joy is such a gracious host and I would definitely recommend to stay at her studio and in the future, I will definitely stay there again.

Joy's place is a great place to stay. Joy had stepped out so when we arrived, her daughter was there to greet us. She was super sweet. The studio had a very warm and cozy feeling. Everything you could possibly need is provided for you. Along the main road there are so many places to eat and there are many shopping centers to do some grocery shopping and some general shopping. Very accessible to NY via bus and ferry. Also the GW bridge is very close by so even driving into the city is very easy as well. Joy's studio was very convenient and Joy is super nice. She always asked if there was anything we needed and was she was more than happy to help us with anything. In short notice, when we needed to extend our stay for a couple more days, she was able to extend our stay which was much appreciated. She is very efficient when needing to get in contact with her and answers promptly to any questions or concerns. I definitely would recommend her place and in the future, I would stay here again.

Joy's apartment is in a great location and served as perfectly on a business trip! (Appreciated reserved parking spot-a must for us and hard to find in the area :)) Joy was very responsive and attentive. Thanks for coffee and cold bottled water in the fridge!

My husband Adam and I stayed at Joys place for 5 nights... Joy is a very welcoming host... prompt to answer emails, txt msgs and very helpful with information.... and even tho we were arriving a bit late she waited for us and even met us at the bus stop so she could show us where we were staying.... She welcomed us with a lovely basket of wine, cheese and crackers....Just as Joy states in her information it was an easy 40min bus ride into NYC, and the bus stop was just around the corner from Joys place... Her place is just as it shows on the photos, clean, tastefully decorated and comfortable. We found the best, quickest and most affordable way to get to Joys from JFK was via a shuttle bus straight to Port Authority Bus Terminal ($16pp) and then a bus directly from there to Joys place ($4.25 pp).... (total cost approx $20 per person). Even though Joy lives upstairs she was never in our face but kept in touch via txt msg on occasion just to make sure everything ok and we were having a good time... Thanks Joy for a great stay and if we ever come back to NYC we would definitely love to stay with you again....

My friends and I stayed at Leo's place for about 4 days and it was fantastic!!! The apartment was really clean and felt as if we were home. Finding the place was not difficult as Leo gave me a detailed description of how to find my way there. We unfortunately didn't meet him in person, but he was always helpful and nice when asked about something! He let us use anything we wanted in the apartment, which was very nice! I can truly recommend him further!!!

Leo's place was affordable and clean. It only took me 2 minutes to walk to the bus for NYC, which was a convenient and affordable way to get into the City. He texted me the day of my arrival with the lock box code and Wifi password.

Leo was from the time of booking very friendly and diligent. The apartment was in perfect condition room, had all the services offered by Leo. Additionally Leo offered us their help to guide and easily locate the different sights of New York and New Jersey. The neighborhood where the apartment of Leo is very safe, quiet, tidy and easily accessible. Leo also helped us get a rented car and took us to the airport the day of return. For all that Leo is a fantastic and out of this host. The next time you return to New York would certainly rent the apartment of Leo.

Leo was a host of choices. The evening of our arrival, he even brought us in a supermarket go shopping ... An angel! And we left it introduced us to a place he loved bcp, view of a bridge leading to New York, and we transported despite the congestion in our car rental! Kindness, listening, availability, a great experience!

Leo's place is very neat and clean in a quite neighborhood. The place is spacious with hardwood floor and next to a wooded empty lot (backyard?). We like the place because the atmosphere is cozy and open. Leo allowed us to check in early in the morning of the first day we arrived. His place is really cozy with a fireplace in the center of the house. I bet will be really nice to have his place in the snowy winter day. From our own experience, the best way to get into Manhattan is using Uber. We got ripped off by a taxi driver by using him crossing the state line from New York to Leo's place.

I stayed for five days in this unit with my kids. The apartment is as on the photos.Fully equipped. A beautiful view of Manhattan. The two large beautiful rooms. The area is very secure and easy access to Manhattan by bus 158. The host is attentive to the smooth running of your stay and is very available. I returned without hesitation on my next vacation.

Amazing place to stay around New York

The beds were amazing and communication from the host was superb.

My stay at Kensho was magnificent! The bed was big and confortable, had a great sleep. The apartment itself had everything I needed. Furniture was new. The kitchen was equipped; cooked home and had a nice meal while looking at Manhattan view. The media unit had Netflix which I enjoyed watching. The apartment also had a perfect location, only 15min to Manhattan by bus. Buildings gym was clean and available to me, breakfast cafe was good. Host was extra helpful answered immediately to all needs. Definitely will stay again!

The host is nice and fast in responding. The instruction for check in was clear and on point. The location is close to public transport and easy to navigate around the neighborhood. I would choose this place again if I were to visit again.

My family had a wonderful, relaxing time staying at Kensho. It was a very neat place with a decent city view, located in a nice and safe neighborhood, very convenient to drive in and out of the city. This apartment is very very very amazing! The rooms are even more beautiful and comfortable than the picture. Moreover, the transportation and restaurant are also perfect. And Ada and her husband are so nice. They reply any questions really timely and patiently. Staying here is definitely a good choice.

The aptmt was homey and comfortable and the kitchen is great if you plan to cook. Location is ideal with Trader Joe's and Whole Foods close by and other shops within walking distance including a movie theater.

they are the most wonderful hosts. We were in the process of relocating there and they were so helpful. Ada had a fruit platter ready for us and wine. The house is cozy and lovely. We felt right at home the moment we entered. I would recommend this place.There is a bust that goes into the city and the ferry terminal is not far.

Very nice view of Manhattan just meters from the building (private access to the pontoon). recent quarter, very clean and very quiet. Check-in and check-out in person. Bus stop a few meters from the building. About 25 minutes by bus to get to NYC (Port Authority Terminal) (Cost of a passage: $ 3.50) Nearby: Dunkin Donuts, Five Guys, CVS, pizzeria ...

Very good place! Actually closer to Manhattan than I thought. Starta is a very good host, she showed me everything I need to know at the first day, and provide us a clean, big and nice place for us to live.

Arty is a nice young guy, who made our stay in New York a very comfortable one. The room is spacious, and we really appreciate the central air condition after whole hot day in New York city. It takes 25 to 35 minutes bus ride to Port Authority Bus terminal, costs $4.50 one way. The place is located in a very quite community.
