Denis and Karen are some of the most amazing people I have came across in my life. They have very nice spirits which is very much reflected on the hospitality you shall receive. The house is full of all the amenities you might think of, which makes it a great option whether you’re planning a short or long stay. The location is great for those who prefer to stay away from the noise; 40 minutes by bus from the city centre. However, pretty much everything is close by unless you want to do high end shopping. Bottom line, the house is very spacious and the hosts are great and they try their best to make your stay as best as possible, which makes your visit very unlikely to go wrong. It was perfekt. Everything was clean.The Bedroom was super and the Kitchen and bathroom are so beautiful. The Bus station is just a 5 min walk away and from the airport you can get there really quick. I can recommend it to everyone.

Denis and Karen are lovely people with a lovely home. It's about a 45 min bus ride to the city center and the bus runs until midnight. The house is quiet and cozy and they have some cute cats. A perfect spot to stay if you want to experience Edinburgh, but also get out of the hustle and bustle of the city. Thanks Karen and Denis for being excellent hosts for the time I stayed with you.

Lovely hosts and nice clean room

The room surpassed my expectations! The room has plenty of space! Well prepared and equipped! The kitchen has everything you need and loved the shower in the bathroom. All of the tenants were really nice and always helpful! There is a Lidl Supermarket nearby and also a cinema! How cool is that? The whole area is filled with green lawns and green scenarios. You won't forget you are in Scotland! Also plenty of bus stops around so getting into the city centre is quite easy from Ana's place!

Its a lovely and cozy place. A bit far from the city but just take a bus and that's fine. The place itself was pretty clean and had a nice time there.

Giuseppe’s place was great. Just as described. It’s a 25 minute bus ride to city center, stop right outside the door. He was happy to suggest anything that you had a pallet for. Super clean, breakfast amenities, and very welcoming. Easy to recommend.

If you want a house next to the bus stop 20 min to the center and 30-40 to the airport.. that is your house. The room is cosy: clean luminous quiet and with a huge bed..

My stay was very smooth. The location is great, you can see the bus stop from the kitchen, where you can reach the city in 15-20 minutes, buses work till late at night. The room was very quiet, spacious, sun-lit and clean. There were no restrictions on coming home late. Giuseppe and Maria are very hospitable, they offered me an amazing carrot cake! I would definitely come back again.

Colette is lovely, welcoming and friendly. She met me off the bus with her 2 dogs and was always on hand in person/text at all times. I would recommend staying with Colette. You must be an animal lover - both cat and dog to stay here as she has both.

The landlord is a very lovely lady, very sweet and very friendly. Room is very clean, and will provide us snacks, bath room clean very clean, very suitable for living! There are also very lovely two dogs to play with us, I am really very satisfied with the experience of living!

Hatef is a wonderful host!! Very accommodating, helpful, and great at communicating. The apartment/condo is an easy 15 minute bus ride from City centre and Hatef is very thorough in explaining about the stops, cost, and routes. The outside of the building does look run down, but the inside is clean and modern. There is a buzzer outside the main building for Hatef to let you in and then he will give you a key for easy access in and out. Walking distance to restaurants and grocery store.

Hatef was super host! The communication was great and he was really nice! Me and my boyfriend, we had only a one night sleepover in Edin and it was fine. Thank you once again. :)

We spent two nights in Edinburgh at Hatefs place. He made it really easy to feel at home. We had very nice conversations and check-in and check-out were uncomplicated and flexible.

Great place! Big and spacious! Train station right on the doorstep with trains taking only 15 mins to get to the city centre. Also a bus stop 2 mins away - direct bus to city centre. Great connections to the centre makes it feel like you already there! Also very convenient car parking!

AMAZING flat at such a great price! After staying in London for several days we came here, and from the moment we walked in my girlfriend and I both agreed that this flat is where we should have stayed longer. It was modern and spotless and the heat was already set to a cozy temperature. The Mountain View’s from the windows were a pleasant surprise. The flat is close to the airport but a bit far from the city center which we didn’t mind. Since we had a rental car we were delighted to have access to free parking in front of the building. We greatly enjoyed our stay and will most definitely return in the future.

The accommodation was clean and lovingly prepared! Dawn and her husband were hospitable hosts and also had one or two tips for things to do. It was also noticed that it was very important to them that I feel comfortable in their accommodation and I did that! Even though Balerno is just outside Edinburgh, both the city and the airport can be reached in about an hour by public transport, which runs very regularly.

We had a really warm welcome from Dawn, with thoughtful touches (fresh bread,cereal, milk, butter and jams). She kindly lent us her flask for a cold, snowy, wintry walk in the hills 😁 The little annexe was a perfect spot for our stay to visit relatives in Penicuik. It was so good to be able to cook and eat in, not having to go out in the cold weather for dinner. We will definitely book again on our next visit. Thank you.

Good sized room and bathroom, Joyce always take care of the cleaning, and she is so generous and kind that makes the experience even better. The house is situated near the zoo and airport and it’s in a really good neighborhood, it’s easy to take the buses.

Joyce and her husband offer a cosy place to stay including breakfast at a convenient location between Edinburgh Airport and Princess Street. In total one can choose between a minimum of five bus lines (including night bus and Airport connection 24/7) and the modern tram line to reach the city center within 15-20 minutes. Wifi is fast and the TV really big. I felt very welcome and will try to return next year.

Stay with Joyce if you want to be close to the airport, a short ride to city centre via tram or bus, and near the golf courses!! Both Joyce and her husband are wonderful hosts, offer a complete breakfast and a clean, comfortable atmosphere. Their neighbors are also welcoming, you feel you're visiting relatives and friends.

Excellent place, lovely facilities and a generous warm welcome from a lovely couple.

Great place to stay. It is about 15 minutes to the tram that takes you to the airport or to the center of Edinburgh. The walk is easy- through a quiet residential street. I liked having the ensuite and it was clean and well-stocked. I have no complaints what-so-ever.

The room is on the ground floor, and the ensuite is a great bonus. The bed is very comfortable and the room is nicely decorated with plenty of storage. Siobhan and John were very helpful and welcoming hosts, offering the use of their dining room and lounge. the area is quiet, so you get a good night's sleep, and it's not far to the city centre by public transport. It was a flat 10-15 minute walk to Saughton tram which gives you easy access to the city centre, West End, Princes Street, Murrayfield and also the airport and Gyle shopping centre. Alternatively you can walk a similar distance to Corstophine and get regular buses in to Edinburgh as well as the 500 bus every 15mins 24 hours a day to Glasgow. There is a reasonable range of local and national brand cafes and restaurants in Corstophine.

Lovely Cat & Dog if you want their company. Lovely hosts very very helpful helped us to get there and showed us the shopping area and transport links, made our stay in Scotland Amazing. We are looking forward to going back. Beautiful home very classy and luxurious. Highly recommended don't hesitate.

Very easy going host! With 2 very friendly adorable pets. Home was easy to get to via car, situated in a very lovely country setting. Home was very comfortable. Extra pillows and blankets provided. The room was located downstairs and you get your own little private sitting area but we didn’t get a chance to use as we had a busy schedule.

30 minutes from Edinburgh, in the peace of the countryside, Jimmy and Rebecca are two fabulous guests. Immediate in responding to our questions and needs. The bedroom is spacious and has a bathroom connected from the inside. For longer stays (we only stayed one night), there is a lovely sitting area where you can relax, read, etc ... A nice location, a little bit off the public transport network and away from any shops if you haven't got a car but very peaceful out in the countryside. The room is nice, the en-suite is huge and there is a nice sitting room with TV. Both the cat and dog are very friendly.

A bright, fresh and stylish space which is just a few miles from Edinburgh centre but feels a long way away from the bustling city. Spotlessly clean, comfortable, modern and with great amenities, you are pretty much guaranteed to have a lovely time here. The hosts are friendly and responsive, and my only regret is that we couldn’t stay longer.

This place is such a hidden gem! The hosts were lovely and the house was immaculate. We travelled into Edinburgh city centre for dinner which only cost £6/7 in an Uber to the train station and a £2.50 return train ticket. We will definitely be visiting again! :)

This is a really gorgeous place. Close to the airport in a peaceful setting but not too far from the city. Stunning decor, well-appointed, warm and comfortable. We really appreciated the milk, butter, juice and breakfast goods. In particular, a last-minute hitch meant we were in a rush on arrival but Vicky’s husband kindly gave us a lift to Murrayfield which helped enormously. Thanks for a brief but lovely stay!

I stayed in Mathilde's place for a week when I arrived in Edinburgh this month. The place is very clean and modern and the flat is well-connected to the city centre so represents great value! The bed was comfortable, the shower was warm and the kitchen was well equipped. Mathilde was very friendly and welcoming whenever we saw each other and was very quick in our communications before and during our stay. Recommended!

Seriously enjoyed our stay at the Potting Shed. Transport links are fantastic, the bus routes for Edinburgh & the airport are seconds from the property. It's about a tenner in an Uber to get into town also. It's a really comfy environment and you're made to feel really at home. Would certainly stay again next time we're here, would highly recommend it to others looking to stay in the area.

We had an amazing experience with James and Laoise in their home. They were flexible with our late arrival. Their appartement is beautiful and clean and we also had a nice and clean room. They offered us a breakfast so we didn't need to take care of it which we found very nice. They were in contact with us during our whole stay and made us feel comfortable in their home. The location is very convenient, close to the airport as well as to the city centre. Thanks again!

It's close to the airport , with frequent buses a short walk away and the tram a slightly longer walk ( the bus is easier 'cos you can pay on the bus itself, marginally cheaper, plus it's closer). The room was clean, comfortable and quiet and James & Laoise are very engaging and welcoming hosts.

We had a brilliant stay at Steve and Gillian’s place. Highly recommended for any couple looking for somewhere just outside Edinburgh City. It was really easy to get in and out of the City - just one bus journey away (45 mins). Gillian and Steve were brilliant hosts, couldn’t be more helpful and communication was easy. They provided us with bread, eggs, cereals, tea, coffee etc for when we arrived, and accommodated our late night check in. We would definitely stay again!

Room in an apartment located between the airport and the city center. Tram & bus less than 5 minutes from the accommodation. Ideal location for exploring Edinburgh. It is neither "sad" nor "a dormitory residence". Perfect !

Great room for a night to rest before a flight

Gemma's place is quaint and well connected - she had everything you could possibly need on hand for a decent stay, We only spent two nights, but much longer would have been just as comfortable. There isn't much in the immediate vicinity, however the public transport connections are fantastic and it's super easy to get to and from both the City Centre and the airport. The space is stylish and thoughtful, it's obvious Gemma puts lots of thought into the presentation of her home to make it clean and comfortable for those staying. We would happily return!

Gavin is a great host. The place is exactly what the picture depicts. Beautiful neighbourhood for good walk to the nearby reservoirs.

Staying with Lynda in Edinburgh was lovely and I would stay there again next time I visit Scotland! She was very accommodating and provided tips about the area, breakfast, amenities, and a comfortable and stylish room which was only a short walk to the train station to get to Edinburgh city center. Lynda made my first experience of Scotland a wonderful one! I highly recommend her as a host.

The best host I’ve ever met. Getting up early for my breakfast, tells me the time of bus. Moreover, Very convenient and nice place for living, I’ll check it’s available or not if I would come Edinburgh again !!!

Lynda is a very pleasant hostess and especially very attentive. She waited for me with delicious homemade soup despite my late arrival. The room is very comfortable. And the house is well located on the road to the airport which is very convenient. I recommend staying at Lynda :)
