I thoroughly enjoyed my brief stay in Colette's beautiful, cozy loft. It was lovelier than I expected. Colette was flexible, kind and accommodating. Would love to stay again!

While my friend and I were only in LA for one night, Colette's place was a great spot for us to stay. The flat was very cute and clean and more spacious than the pictures even showed. It was also nice to have a designated parking space. Communication with the hosts was fantastic and they were very responsive. We would definitely stay here again.

Colette was great and met us at the parking lot. The apartment was exactly as described and everything was very put together. We only stayed for one night but it was exactly what we needed and was more cost effective than staying in a hotel. Would definitely recommend and would stay here again if in LA.

Mathias was waiting for me to arrive and helped me carry my suitcase up the stairs (there are many, as he warns!). He was very nice and gave a great introduction to the guest house and features. Mathias also invited me to dinner and was available my entire stay if I had questions or needed help with anything. The unit is exactly as pictured and is extremely comfortable. It also feels very safe tucked up at the top of one of the hill streets. The view is wonderful and it's a very relaxing place. I took advantage of the location and hiked to the Hollywood sign. It was exactly what I was looking for - a nice relaxing getaway, embodying the charm of Hollywood Hills exactly. Mathias takes great care in maintaining the unit and ensuring it is clean and comfortable. It was fantastic!

This is your place. Uniquely LA guest house (great views, outdoor shower, design-minded decor). I am a maniac about cleanliness and this place cleared my bar. Mathias could not be warmer or more flexible. I arrived very late and he was so gracious. I was also a woman, traveling alone, and felt very safe. This place makes you feel like you're living like a local--just much better than you could actually afford.

This was the best airbnb stay I have ever had. The apartment is absolutely beautifully designed and a total refuge after a long day in the wilds of LA. The location is about as central as you want to be and everything from the fittings to the super comfy bed was exactly what I needed. These guys are a really sweet family and there was a good separation between the studio and the main house but it was a delight to see them when we ran into each other. And don't even get me started about the projector screen! Best way to chill at the end of a long day was to punch up a movie and sit back on the couch with my own personal cinema. I couldn't recommend this place more highly. The only downside to my stay was that I feel like I may never find a better airbnb!!!! Love these guys.

Michael's place is amazing. We put up a family member visiting in LA there and we went to hang out ourselves! It's so comfortable you almost don't want to leave. Plus, the access to Los Feliz, Franklin Village and Griffith Park...there's a lot to do by foot just in the area. Highly recommend!

Our stay was great. Mike made it very easy to check in and was available when we needed anything. The place was very cute and welcoming. Great location with easy access to anything we needed. Car services were immediately accessible to get where we needed and food delivery was a breeze.

Michael and Kayren are lovely hosts and extremely accommodating. They have a beautiful little family and a sweet dog. The apartment is extremely clean and comfortable. The bedding is fantastic. I found the place to be extremely quiet which allowed me to sleep well. Parking is a little tricky, but it really did not pose a problem. It is street parking only, so one must take extra care not to get a parking citation, but such is life in LA. I would highly recommend this bungalow.

The location is very far from central LA and with LA traffic I would not recommend this location. There is no parking and it is difficult to find parking. The host has a large driveway and yet they do not allow guests to park in their drive. We received over $200 US in parking tickets. The actual space is well appointed, but not worth the parking issue.

Lovely quiet little place. Very comfortable with a nice outdoor space. If you like pets the Chickens are the friendliest. Phyllis called on us In the Morning. Added pleasure was watching the hummingbirds. Walkway is a little tricky so be mindful and sure footed and you will have no problem.

Such an amazing, relaxing space and such a great, walkable neighborhood. I found Kevin and Sara's place by accident and ended up extending my trip for several extra nights! Having stayed in dozens of airbnbs I cannot recommend these guys or their space enough. I especially loved the chickens!!! I could go on and on but honestly just book this lovely little gem and you'll see for yourself :)

Despite lots of rain we had a wonderful stay. Our 4 year old loved the chickens. The guesthouse was like a cozy little cabin. Nothing fancy but it had everything we needed, even umbrellas to walk to all the shops and restaurants nearby. Sarah was available to help us at all times and was very welcoming.

Sara and Kevin's cute whimsical guest house was adorable and romantic! I booked a one night stay here hoping to celebrate my boyfriend's birthday because I really loved their backyard. Sadly the weather didn't allow me to use their backyard grill or enjoy the backyard but we still had a lovely time here. Sara is so nice and accommodating and Kevin was very helpful and warm greeting my boyfriend and I. The backyard has a chicken and its very sweet and nice. We were welcomed with a nice clean bed and like everyone said, the shower can be a bit tricky in getting hot water. The smallest knob (front) you will have to turn it to the right to have hot water but it doesn't take too long. Our stay was furnished with a microwave, kitchen area, utensils and dinnerware, towels (and many which is good), soaps, hair gel and spray, toothpaste, shampoo and conditioners, you name it and I'm sure they have it. Whats also great about this place was the location and how close and walking distance it was to York street. Overall I would come back here again if I was staying in the area. Love it here and thank you Sara and Kevin!

The guest house had everything I needed and was quiet and comfortable. Sara and Kevin were fantastic. We stayed at Jessie's cottage behind her house in Silver Lake. We went to LA by car and could easily park it on Jessie's driveway which was perfect for us. Our stay could not have been better. The cottage was super cosy and is located in a nice area close to good restaurants and bars. If we go back to LA again we would definitly stay here again.

The house was exactly as pictured, immaculately clean, and we had everything we needed for a 5-day stay. Jessie was great to work with, and very helpful. Highly recommended for a solo traveler or couple!

The Sanborn Cottage was the cutest home away from home, my friend and I felt very safe staying there and it was the perfect starting point to get to anywhere. The aesthetic of the cottage was meticulously well pull together, although I would recommend a full body mirror but that was quite inconsequential. We didn't get to meet Jessie, but there was no need, we had everything we needed. Most likely will be staying there again in the future

A fabulous studio, in a great location!

We stayed at Shawn & Scott’s house Labor Day weekend. From the moment I walked into the house, I was in awe. The home is beautiful. What you see in the pictures is what you get. There was plenty of room for us all (8 people total). The beds were comfy, there were plenty of towels, everything we needed we had. The balconies and the views were to die for! It was amazing waking up, opening the balcony sliding door, and just sitting and enjoying the beautiful surroundings. (Not to mention, the home is located a few miles from one of the best places to view the Hollywood sign – in my opinion! :) )We didn’t get to meet Shawn, but we met Scott really quick and he was very friendly. We had our privacy the whole weekend. I would love to say at Shawn/Scott’s house again if they were willing to host us! I highly recommend staying at their gorgeous home!

This experience is very special to me, I have never lived in local people's room. Shawn reply is very timely, even if we have 16 hours time difference, I can quickly get his reply. We arrived in Losangeles at 9 in the evening . Push the door open, at that moment, it's a big surprise to my family member. The room is so beautiful. The second day we also take a walk along the moutain road, the scenery is very beautiful, the neighbors are very peaceful. I hope to stay again very much.

Dave was a great host and welcomed us when we arrived. We were not at the house much as we had a day and night in Universal Studios set. However we enjoyed the time we did spend in the house. It was a great neighborhood, clean house, and a very comfortable bed. We'd happily stay here again. It was a plus having such sweet dogs to welcome us each time we came back to the house as well.

This was my second stay with Dave. House and room are still great. Fantastic location and price. His dogs are still adorable and friendly. Would highly recommend Dave's place for a couple who is looking to tour universal studios and other LA attractions.

We had a great stay at Dave's! As LA natives who sometimes need to come back home for a couple of days, his place provided the true LA experience we love. It's in a quiet, residential neighborhood where you can get a good night's sleep, but near a lot of the things we needed to do. While so many houses of this vintage have been desecrated by the granite and steel "renovations" of the artificial property boom cycles, his house still looks like the homes we grew up in. Dave has kept it in vintage character, with good maintenance of what's needed without taking out what's historic and irreplaceable. You feel like you're at home, and have access to a nice portion of the house, including living room and kitchen use, and there are two sweet dogs to keep you company. A nice touch which you almost never see is Incandescent lighting in the rooms! It's great to relax under healthy lighting, while most people are using harsh, white, deadly CFL bulbs. It added to the already pleasant and homey atmosphere. Will book again!

Just one word: perfect! :D We had a nice welcome and Dave did everything to make our stay as good as possible. Our room was nice and comfortable, the bathroom was clean and we were allowed to use the living room and kitchen. Bonus feature: Dave's two friendly dogs :)

This is a great, simple, accommodation. There is one flight of stairs and some street noise, but the room is comfortable. This is a perfect place if you just need a good, quiet, place to sleep and cleanup while in Burbank. As an aside, great donuts at Dad's at Victory & Buena Vista.

Wonderful time! We ubered most places because there's not a whole within walking distance. Greg and Janna were super accommodating for us. I would recommend it.

This guesthouse is beautiful and much bigger than it seemed in pictures. It's beautiful and recently renovated. The shower head is super high- so tall guests, you're in luck! A great place to stay!

The location was great, super quiet, you wouldn't know you were in a populated city. Owners were very hospitable and friendly. Also the space is a guest house so there's an added feeling of privacy. They even let us park in their driveway. Great breakfast diner within a short walk.

Bill made me feel welcome immediately. He is easy going and I felt that I could relax. His home is in a safe neighborhood. The room is exactly as it is listed, comfortable bed, private entrance, writing desk, chair for reading, beautiful modern bathroom and everything so clean.

My boyfriend and I absolutely enjoyed staying here! We were welcomed with a card and a balloon when we first arrived. We were here for Valentine's Day and Irma surprised us with a gift. Her hospitality could not have been better! She checked on us over text and asked if we needed more towels/shampoo/soap etc. The neighborhood is beautiful and very peaceful, and the view outside of the house was incredible! Jane's Cozy Cottage is a lovely haven in the middle of the hustle and bustle of Burbank's film industry, mere blocks away. Everything inside is so very warm and inviting. And the gardens and private spaces outside made us want to just sit, relax and soak in all of the citrus trees and floral scents. We especially liked the private rear entrance to the cottage, and off-street parking for two compact cars. Jane and hubby Barry are wonderfully engaging, and my son and I sat and chatted with them the second morning of our vacation. We'll definitely be booking another stay at Jane's Cozy Cottage the next time we come to L.A.

The Cozy Cottage has become my Hemingway hideaway. Situated in a quiet neighborhood but within walking distance of restaurants and shopping, this was a fantastic find. I found myself nestled into the generous porch chair, feeling like I was back in Key West. Clean, beautifully decorated and fully appointed, this cottage easily slept our family of three and gave us plenty of room to move. The full private kitchen was a bonus as was the off-street parking spot. I spent my mornings in the beautiful private gardens, enjoying the view. Although there was air conditioning, we found we didn't need it with the air flow and ceiling fans. Surprisingly quiet for being so close to a shopping district, the cottage is close to Warner Bros. back lot where we could shop, have coffee, or take a tour. It was an easy 10-12 minute walk to coffee shops, restaurants, and shopping and Jane provided a book of local resources and suggestions for us. Jane was a charming host, making sure we had everything we needed but respecting our privacy. I will definitely stay here on my next trip to Burbank!

This was our very first Airbnb stay,. What a super introduction. My friend and I travelled from Nova Scotia, Canada with great excitement to attend a horse show at the L.A. Equestrian Center. The location of this cottage was perfect, being so close to the Center, in a charming, older community of treed streetscapes, and horse lovers. The cottage itself was clean, quaint, welcoming, bright, private, secure and very comfortable. We had to flip a coin for who would get the bed. I ended up on the hide-a-bed couch, which was more than adequate. All our needs were easily met and after busy days out and about, we looked forward to relaxing at the cottage in the evenings. We took advantage of the convenient location with tours of Warner Bros. and Hollywood. The best restaurant of our stay was the Claim Jumper, Just a few blocks from Jane's. The cafeteria at Warner Bros. is open to the public and offered made-to-order hearty breakfasts at a very reasonable price. Jane and her family are friendly, genuine, interesting people. We would like to have more opportunity to visit with them. Jane, thank you for hosting us during our wonderfully fun and memorable vacation. We could not have done better. The cottage was wonderful! Excellent location, well insulated from the sound of the freeway, lots of bird song. It was a great, private place to relax while taking a break from our travels in the city. The bed is nice and comfortable. My only regret is that we didn't get to meet our host - we had a pretty full itinerary and were only there for a couple of days. This was a great find and I highly recommend this to anyone looking for a place to stay while they're in the Valley.

Thomas and Peggy have an exquisite home in Burbank; it has an open airy feel, the room is spacious and light and the outdoor porch/cabana is a colorful splash -- a gem. Peggy made sure we had what we needed; she also provided an environment of joy. She has incredible touches throughout the space that create comfort, ease, and energy. The photos are true to life. As someone else wrote, this airbnb is like a five star hotel. Everything from the fluffy soft new bath towels, bathrobe, remote control fan/light, shampoo, body wash, assortment of snacks fancy sodas and iced teas (which unlike a five star hotel, are free) makes this a place you will want to stay again and again. Peggy and Thomas's home is conveniently located in the most charming neighborhood in Burbank! From horses strolling the streets to cute cafes- it was a unique experience. Their space is very tastefully decorated and immaculately clean. What we valued the most was Peggy's welcoming nature, attention to detail and thoughtfulness. Breakfast each morning was such a fancy treat, especially in the outdoor converted horse stable! It's a hidden gem that we were grateful to stumble across.

Quiet, clean and private. Peggy and Tom were gracious hosts and thought of the little things. Coffee in the morning, home baked cookies. Loved it and hope to go back next year during the horse show.

Veronica's loft is perfect. Very comfortable (the bed was great!), the space is well maintained, well lit, private—it was really ideal for my short stay over. I'm just sorry I couldn't stay longer and spend more time with Veronica and Martin, who are both lovely people (well, she's truly lovely and Marty's lovely in a manly sort of way). Couldn't have been nicer. The neighborhood was quiet and neat, and very accessible to main streets, groceries, Starbucks, etc. – 3 thumbs up!

Veronica's instructions were clear making it very easy to start enjoying the room right away. The room is comfortable, private and nicely furnished. You can't beat the location.

Marty and Veronica both greeted us when we arrived to LA. The neighborhood was safe and the listing is exactly the same in person. Veronica was EXTREMELY welcoming and made us feel right at home! Veronica reached out with a lot of information up front to help my girlfriend and I be all set when we arrived. Upon arrival, Marty walked us through how everything works and gave us privacy to relax. The unit was in GREAT SHAPE, the little notes all over the space were cute (and informative) and the location was perfect as we were meeting several friends throughout Burbank over the weekend. Veronica even reached out to remind us about the street sweeping so we wouldn't get a ticket (talk about going above and beyond the call of duty!) Next time we are in LA, we will be trying to stay here again!

Veronica & Marty's loft was spacious, attractively decorated, and quiet. The bed was comfortable, the bathroom was small but efficient, and there were several extra touches, such as CDs and a player, numerous books (good ones, too!), and cards from local businesses along with a few recommendations. Also appreciated were two bottles of water, small packs of fruits/nuts, and several Keurig coffee pods. I have low back pain and V&M kindly provided me with extra pillows and a foam wedge. I would stay again without hesitation.

I stayed with my boyfriend for three nights at Veronicas and Martys place to visit LA. Our hosts were very friendly, competent and helped us in every way. Their place was very comfortable, nice furnished and had everything we needed. The location is perfect in order to reach all the famous spots of LA. It is just a few minutes away from the universal studios. We would definetly recommend this nice place and come again whenever visiting LA!

Bed was super comfortable, a number of nice touches that Veronica provides. I will definitely stay here again on upcoming business trips!

Veronica is a wonderful host. The unit was very clean and Veronica provided a great selection of snacks and breakfast items. The check-in was very simple using the lock-box. The neighborhood is very quiet and seems quite safe. The unit itself is very private and peaceful. Finding street parking was not a problem. We would stay there again.

I LOVED this place. It's a guesthouse with a private entrance. It's so comfortable and more than enough. Veronica was an incredible hostess and provided everything we could have needed and more. I slept like a baby and hope to stay here again next time I'm in LA.

First of all, great value for this area. Comfortable, cozy, great air conditioning, nice touches for guests as far as the kitchen, linens, TV and internet. The bed is soft and comfortable, easy to melt into and get some good rest. The perfect little cottage getaway! And the host, Veronica, was super responsive, easy to reach and fast with communications. Friendly and helpful. Couldn't ask for better.

This is our second time staying at Chantal's beautiful cottage. It was even more beautiful than we remembered. The grounds around the cottage are absolutely amazing. The beautiful foliage and koi pond makes you feel like you are on your own tropical island. So peaceful and private. There is a pool just a few feet outside of the cottages French doors. The patio is equipped with a grill if you like to cook out. The cottage was spotless when we arrived and all and more than what a 5 star luxury hotel would offer at a third of the cost plus a new cooktop and full size refrigerator had been added since we were here last. A safe, quiet and private area. Chantal is a gracious and very sweet hostess she goes above and beyond to insure your stay is nothing but spectacular. We now refer this to our home away from home. We absolutely love the cottage and the Beautiful hostess.

If you have dreamed of living in a doll house with an enchanted garden, the Rancho Guest House is perfect for you. The cottage is fully and beautifully equipped and located in a peaceful and friendly neighborhood. Chantal is an engaging, thoughtful and gracious host. We have rented this unit on a long term basis and have loved our time here!

If I had to describe Chantal and her guest cottage in one word, it would be PERFECTION. I stayed with Chantal for a little over a month, and I actually cried when it was time to leave! Chantal is a wonderful host, and has thought of every convenience imaginable for the guest house. The cottage is even more charming in person than it appears in the Airbnb photos. I felt like I was both at home and in a 5 star hotel at the same time! Chantal gives you all the privacy you want, but checks in frequently to make sure you have everything you need. Parking was never an issue, and I enjoyed seeing the neighbors walk their horses around the neighborhood. The washer and dryer, refrigerator/freezer, convection toaster oven, gas cooktop, and garbage disposal were all welcome conveniences, and there were plenty of restaurants and grocery stores nearby. I highly recommend the Rancho guest cottage, and look forward to returning soon!

This place is awesome. Chantal was very nice, and was the perfect perfect host. The neighbourhood is very quiet, and clean. We had a good time.

Picture a rose covered cottage nestled into a quiet tree lined neighborhood…that is our interpretation of our host’s wonderful little getaway. The pool house rental will whisk you away to your own one bedroom, one bath hideaway. The cottage is open and airy and feels quite large. Walking through a screened entry door takes you directly into the kitchen, which is open to the living room. The living rooms double French doors open out to a waterfall pool, surrounded on 3 sides by an eight foot high, ivy covered walls. The cottage koi pond waterfall will truly lull you to sleep each and every night. We took a leap of faith when we rented the pool house sight unseen from airbnb, for a TWO-MONTH stay. Safe location (very walk able), clean and serene. We almost hate to give the cottage/pool house such a wonderful review, as we want to keep this place entirely to ourselves! It is almost a guarantee you will find the host as we did; genuine, warm, accommodating and very helpful.

My husband and I had the best stay ever at Chantal's beautiful guesthouse! She is a lovely woman and she made us feel welcomed and right at home. Location is close to everything we needed for our visit to LA. The guesthouse and all the surroundings were so peaceful, serene and 5 star quality! We can't wait to visit again!!

Paradise! Beautifully decorated, sinful treats (chocolate, nuts, muffins, yummy coffee, and more), private patio. Sat out by pool every morning with my coffee watching birds, squirrels, koi, occasionally hearing nearby chickens! Chantal is the best - lovely, warm, helpful, accessible. I not only feel like I have found a new home for future visits, but a new friend.

Chantal is such a great host, charming, warm and helpful. Mostly importantly she likes kids and make parents travel like us feel very warm. The cottage is just as the description while I think it's even beyond my expection as Chantal maintains it in good condition and looks so beautiful. The cottage is located in a quiet area, easy to park. Very kids friendly as there's a nice park with only 3 min to walk. As Chantal is originally French, this is house well represents her decent sense of interior design, like a French garden and definitely the most pretty one on the street. The best thing is, there's a private pool just when you open the door, I pretty much enjoy having fun with the water. We had a great time in Chantal's house and will definitely come back again!

Wow! What a treat! Beautiful "home away from home" in a lovely neighborhood. Gary and Leanna were the consummate hosts! So friendly, so eager to help, and just overall wonderful human beings! Three of us (adults) stayed in the guest house and were very comfortable. Pictures don't do it justice. It was immaculate, private, and well-appointed. It seemed that they had thought carefully and included nearly everything we could think of. Beds were comfortable, and the kitchenette was perfect. And right outside the door was the magical pool/patio area!! Wow! The patio area made us feel as though we had been transported to Tuscany - beautiful landscaping and lighting. Fantastic area to relax by the pool, eat a meal and enjoy the area. Many gorgeous fruit trees laden with pomegranates, oranges, tangerines, limes, kumquats and more surrounded us, providing such a tranquil respite. The outdoor kitchen area included a wonderful grill and wood-burning pizza oven. Additionally, we learned that Gary is a gourmet chef, and my only regret was that we didn't have enough time to take advantage of the opportunity to indulge in one of his culinary masterpiece dinners! But we all agreed that we definitely want to return to this spot when we're back in Burbank, and hope to arrange for the dinner extravaganza at that time! Communication was terrific. I highly, highly recommend this property. Fantastic in all ways! Thanks again!

The apartment was very cozy, clean and welcoming. The outside pool area was gorgeous, and we definitely enjoyed sunbathing and drinking our morning coffee out there. Gary & Liana are amazing hosts, always one text away if you needed them. Will definitely come back here when traveling to the LA area!!

This was a wonderful place to stay. It was spacious and comfortable. There is not a toaster, stove or hot plate to cook with however.

It's places like this make Airbnb my exclusive go-to travel app. Gary and his wife are wonderful hosts, staying up late to greet us from a delayed flight and checking in occasionally to see if we needed anything. I slightly hesitated to describe my full satisfaction with this gem, knowing it will likely drive new travelers to Gary. You see, I'm selfish and want to always be able to stay here when I'm in LA. Seriously, book this place now- but seriously, move along and stay somewhere else so I can keep this lovely place all to myself...

This was a lovely place. It was just as described. The hosts were very friendly and welcoming. I highly recommend this home as a quite place near the heart of LA.

Wonderful guesthouse! Very enjoyable place.

Dede and her beautiful studio were exactly what my boyfriend and I were looking for! The neighborhood is lovely and quiet, with plenty of food and activity just around the corner. Dede welcomed us warmly but then left us to come and go as we pleased. We had plenty of privacy as the studio is nestled quite a ways back from the main house. The studio itself was very spacious and had all the amenities (and more) that any fancy hotel would have. She generously provided coffee and treats as well as total access to the lovely pool and backyard. I highly recommend staying here and will definitely be back myself.

This was our first experience and it couldn't have been better. Deirdre was a great hostess and had the guesthouse very well supplied. The setting was lovely-wish we had more time to enjoy!

The experience was excellent! The guest house was beautiful and immaculately clean! The neighborhood was so beautiful and an inexpensive Uber ride to Universal Studios and Hollywood Blvd. It was also in walking distance to great places to eat, our bank and several other convenient places. The pool and yard were beautiful as well. We had a great experience with our first airbnb! Thanks so much to the hosts!

Everything in the description was accurate. The place was very nice, quiet and private. The neighborhood is very beautiful and we especially enjoyed the Chinese restaurant down the street, Toluca Garden. Deirdre was very helpful and gave us a lot of information that was very useful for our stay. Her place is very close to Universal Studios. We even went to Santa Monica Beach!

You'll drive a lot in LA. At Deirdre's place, you can stay home or walk anywhere and be quite happy.

The guesthouse was absolutely perfect! Clean, quiet and with a beautiful pool. We couldn't of been happier with the location and decor. We would recommend to anyone and couldn't be more grateful with all the personal touches the host incorporates.
