What we liked: - very close to the metro - restaurants nearby - comfortable bed - friendly host What we didn't like: - smaller than expected, but still ok. - a bit loud at times (street noise, upstairs noise, stairwell noise). - the "private" bathroom is outside of the room, so not really private at all. The shower room is shared with the other guests. Overall we enjoyed our stay, and would recommend this place to anyone who don't mind a bit of noise, stairs, and the fact that you don't actually have a private bathroom or shower.

The geographical location is very good. It is located near the subway entrance of Honmago, and the sky tree is 200 meters east. It is very beautiful at night. It is 300 meters west to cross the bridge and less than 200 meters to Sensoji Temple. Aeon supermarket and Matsuya are opposite, convenient for snacks and meals. The house is very clean. It is located on the second floor. Although it faces the road, it is a two-story window. It is not affected at night. Although it is not a separate bathroom and toilet, it will not affect it at all. Room1 and room2 are written on the toilet door. Will not be used in series. The bath water is hot and large, and there is a TV kettle, refrigerator and microwave in the house. It ’s very convenient to buy cooked food for yourself. It ’s cold and there is hot water to drink. My wife likes it very much. The key is that the price is really high. Give this shop a good review, please pay attention to the tips of the homestay, respect the habits of locals and pay attention to your own behavior.

Overall, I was satisfied. The location was great, so it was easy to use transportation or convenience, and the host responded quickly to inquiries, so I could stay comfortable and comfortable. The place was very cute, clean, and ideal location. Xun was an amazing host. He offers a coffee station, and washing machine. Also the extra luggage areas are soooo convenient for traveling. The room comes with it’s own AC unit so you can adjust the temperature to what you like which is really nice. Also it’s super convenient for the Skytree station so you can get anywhere in tokyo with no trouble. I loved it here and will book in the future

Keita place was great , the location is very near to Asakusa subway station . There are bakery store and convenient store just 1 minute walking from the house . Keita provide great detail about the house. Everything is excellent . Very nice place to stay . The environement inside and outside the house is really nice . Really love it . You can view Tokyo Sky Tree before entering the house :)

Super surprise! The landlord was super nice, very enthusiastic, and sent us mineral water and small grapes. The room was very clean and the layout was very atmospheric and full of Japanese style. The facilities are very complete, and I have prepared a beautiful bathrobe. Unfortunately, I have no chance to put on a photo. The location is also very good, only five minutes away from the two subway stations, it takes about 20 minutes to walk to the sky tree, a lot of delicious nearby! The overall price/performance ratio is really high. In short, I am most satisfied with my trip to Japan!

We enjoyed staying at Keira’s place. His place was very clean, location is great. The main train/subway station is within walking distance, that is easily access to everywhere. Even though, we only met Keita once, he was a very thoughtful host, made sure we have everything we needed. Highly recommended!

Nice and affordable hostel close to Asakusa and Skytree! Walkable! great view from rooftop lounge and fast easy check in. Only downside is no actual luggage storage locker. Just a place you can lock up your suitcase on the floor you’re staying at by the door. Small locker for wallet but that’s about it.

The location is good, the travel is very convenient, but it is not very ventilated, and rhinitis patients are a bit uncomfortable if I live. The downstairs is delicious, super recommended! The rooftop rooftop scenery is great, but no one goes up, you can go and see ~

If you are on a budget trip but still want a good service, I would recommend Playsis. The beds are spacious and clean. The staffs are friendly and they are always ready to help. Its close to convenient stores and train station. There is a small bread shop near the place as well- must try.

The roof lounge at night was good

The house is really clean thanks to the daily cleaning! The location is also an 8-10 minute walk from Asakusa Station. From Asakusa Station Exit 4, go straight across the Sumida River Bridge (to the left). You can see Skytree every day from very close! Skytree from the roof of Playsis 5th floor is magnificent.

This is a great hostel with a well thought out design. The beds aren’t the most comfortable things in the world but I wasn’t really bothered by it. The bunks are really roomy with a privacy curtain and usb outlets in them which was perfect for recharging. The staff are all super friendly and ready to help and I really appreciated being able to leave my bag before checking in and after checking out so I could wander the city without my luggage. Great value!

It was great! There was a private room, and the clerk was nice too! The kitchen, washing machine, shower room, etc. are shared, but they are cleaned every day, so the experience was good!

The room is exactly as in the picture. It was very clean and the staff polite and friendly. I would recommend to add a little bit more storage in the room, because there was not much space to put our things (and we are light travelers). Other than that It was a pleasant stay. It was nice and comfy, however the room is a bit small to store 2-3 baggages in it. The Asakusa Station is very close and there are direct trains for Haneda and Narita Airports. A Lawson 100¥ is nearby too.

Always a pleasure to come back to Nomad Hostel. Everybody is really friendly and the managers are the best. The location is really convienient and there are plenty of things to do around. Don’t hesitate to ask residents if you need any advice, everybody will be willing to help 🙂

That was a good week in a place near many things.

There is a kimono and a yukata in the hotel, and they can lend it for free, so there is no need to rent a kimono for 4,000 yen, so I was very lucky! We think that it is good to person coming for sightseeing in Asakusa, and location is outstandingly good. Because it is in the center of downtown, when you leave the hotel, it is immediately crowded with shopping streets. I thought that the first place was good for a hotel in Asakusa! The staff and the shop told me variously, and it was very helpful! It's fashionable and I will use it the next time I come to Asakusa. I'm really thankful to you!

A unique space, the building is a traditional Japanese one that was remodelled into a hostel. Well done, clean, nice common areas, great communication with the hosts, all in all a great experience.

Very clean and comfortable! You can see that they come and clean the whole place everyday in the morning. There's kitchens for you to cook and also microwaves. There's coin washing machine, clothes dryer and place to hang your clothes too on the rooftop. It's 10min walk to Asakusa station, and the night views around Azuma Bridge is wonderful. Tokyo Sky Tree is visible from the rooftop of the guest house (*ﾟ∀ﾟ)

Located in a residential area, it takes you less than 10 mins walk from Asakusa station to reach the place. The staffs are nice and the private room I booked was great for me. However, I would not recommend the 2nd floor for those with weak knees and/or dislike climbing up steep stairs.

This hostel was amazing! I stayed for one night but this only being my 2nd ever hostel I was afraid! Everything was amazing with this place. The rooftop views, the homey feel, the suggestions, and the pod itself was set up in a way where you could enjoy privacy but at the same time get the feel of being in a capsule hotel. The bathroom was also very clean and I loved the fact that there was a curtain before stepping into the shower. Me, Huroki, and Erika stayed up all night in the lobby area just talking and laughing so that should show you what.i mean by feeling at home! Mahalo again! ❤️🇺🇸

I stayed here for about 1 whole week, I never had any problem, all the staff were really polite, friendly and helpful and you have all the amenities that you need, the place is close to Sensõji temple and to the train stations connecting to major cities, I'd definitely stay here again in the future.

At the beginning, I hurriedly booked without paying attention to the mixed room. After I arrived, I paid for a 8-girl room, which was very clean and very close to the subway station. 10 nights can get one night, and will choose next time.

Let ’s talk about it in detail. The transportation is really convenient. It is very close to the Sensoji Temple and the surrounding shopping streets, and it is very close to the Sky Tree. There are many places to eat around. 711 and daily are very close ... In terms of number, three people are indeed It ’s crowded, but it ’s okay if you do n’t mind, it ’s really more suitable for two people… It ’s really a doorway room, I ’m embarrassed to go in and out. I ’m a little bit minded about this… Besides, it ’s easy to find according to the map Let's go around the corner ... Overall, the price / performance ratio is still very high!

Although it is not large but complete, there is a large garbage bin beside the room to sort out the garbage in the room. You are not afraid to live in too many days and there will be too much garbage. The landlord will reply very quickly.

The location is very good, five minutes from the Ginza line, ten minutes from the Keisei line, and there is Sensoji Temple next to it. There is no washing machine in the room. You ca n’t cook. It ’s really affordable regardless of this.

This is my third time to stay Eddie’s, as always the room is very clean and new, all the essentials are prepared. He also warmly welcome us and very responsible. One surprise was there were no views this time, the house is very close to next house and windows so we didn’t use the balcony and always closed the curtains.. The smaller room has better view in the same apartment. Overall we are satisfied with his room and would like to stay again!

After we booked a four-day stay, we found that our first day of arrival at the airport was too late, and we may not be able to catch up with the check in. After contacting the landlord, we quickly adjusted our stay to three days. Thank you very much! The room facilities are complete. There is no kitchen but microwave oven and refrigerator and private bathroom. Although the space is small, it has all the internal organs. It only takes about 2mins from 7-11. The bed is very soft and comfortable, and I sleep super well every day! Healed our tiring tired body in Tokyo. You can stay here next time!

Yuichi's house is right next to Agatsuma Bridge, and the bridge is Sensoji Temple, so it is very convenient to eat, shop and travel. Although at the side of the road, I was worried about noisy at night, but found that Japanese drivers would not honk, noisy, and occasionally there was the sound of passing cars. The kitchen is large and there is a dining room. There are eggs, mineral water, instant noodles in the refrigerator, and it is very convenient to make breakfast. There is a supermarket nearby where you can withdraw money, buy light meals, daily necessities and fruits. Yuchi is super nice, my son is three years old, and he originally entrusted him to order a cake for us, but he sent one directly and was very moved. The meals in his restaurant are delicious, and the overall evaluation is very good for a homestay.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. The location is great and close to transportation so getting anywhere in Tokyo was a breeze. There was plenty nearby as well in terms of food and shops and attractions for those times we didn’t want to go far. The inn itself is nice, a bit basic but as this was our first visit to Tokyo we don’t have much to compare it to. The space is clean and well maintained, and we always felt safe and comfortable. Yuichi was easy to communicate with when needed and helpful, and even left us a nice little gift upon departing. If we had to pick a quibble it would be the tricky door, until you get the hang of it, it was a bit difficult to lock and unlock which can lead to a bit of annoyance when you’re tired and want to get in, but once you get the hang of it all is well. All in all it was a good experience and we would gladly stay again if we are in the area.

Super cosy room with a wonderful warm fluffy down quilt and comfortable bed. Feather pillows so bring your own if you need neck support. Excellent shower and bathroom as well. Great to have a USB double power point in the room. The wi fi was excellent, streaming worked fine and the common room was great too. We really enjoyed having that little bit of extra space. Fantastic location we walked to Sensoji Shrine on a Sunday it was busy with lots of market stalls and people in kimonos. I would stay again at this easy to find, well priced and well located hostel.

This apartment is a great place to stay at. It’s a bit on the small side (which is expected) but it got the job done for my family and I. It has a great view of the Tokyo Skytree. It’s also a quick walk to the train station and the Senso-ji Temple. Definitely recommend staying at this place.

The landlord is Japanese but Chinese is so good that I thought she was Chinese and I am very beautiful! People are very good. If there is a problem, even if it is solved, because the typhoon has some leaks in the window of our house, she took the typhoon and brought it to repair.

You can walk to our office, Azumabashi Station, and within 15 minutes, you can reach the most lively place in Asakusa. You can go shopping for a long time, but it ’s a little early to close the door. It ’s closed at eight or nine. I do n’t know if it was because of the red day. This room is on the fourth floor. The stairs are really a bit narrow, and it is a bit difficult to move the boxes. Mattress sheets and quilts need to be laid on their own. It is okay to fall asleep. It is not too cold to turn on the air conditioner in winter. The refrigerator, microwave, washing machine and cooking utensils are all complete! It is quite convenient to use! The suggestion is to add a shower curtain, otherwise the water will easily spill out and make the bathroom wet and uncomfortable. Also, if there is a small vacuum cleaner, it doesn't matter if you live for two or three days. For a long time, the dust and hair falling on the ground are a bit unbearable ...

Suitable for one or two people, the rooms are small and sophisticated. Location is quiet, traffic is very convenient, stair steps, heavy luggage will not be convenient for climbing stairs. Great location, and a cute place. It was our first time sleeping in futons and they were super comfortable. There were plenty of combini and restaurants around, and two metro lines. Also, it was super clean and with everything you need! We’ll recommend it for sure!

Everything is kept extremely clean. The living spaces are co-ed but women have their own bathroom and shower, so no worries there. The bottom floor is a gallery promoting local designers and artists, and the reception at the same time in case you wonder. The reception staff speaks perfect English. Buy some merch to support the local creators! The whole hostel breathes that famous Japanese functionalism/minimalism. Marie Kondo would be proud - Denchi sparked joy! The location is EXTREMELY good if you want to stay and discover Tokyo. One of the main metro lines is 5 minutes walk from the hostel, connecting you to all the rest of the city. Or if you want to explore the famous Asakusa area, the hostel is literally IN Asakusa, so you'll be short walks away from Senso-ji, Orange street, shopping/dining districts, SkyTree, etc. You can find some world-famous foodie spots too: try the fluffy pancakes in Benitsuru, judge whether Ippudo or Ichiran serves more mouth-watering ramen, feel guilty stuffing yourself with karaage (fried chicken) at Yukari, and many many more. Some points that certain guests might mind: 1. The locker is small and there isn't extra space for your suitcases, so you have to leave it 'outside'. So unless you rent a private room, I wouldn't recommend bringing too much luggage. The place is completely safe though, so unless your neighbor guests are kleptomaniacs, there is nothing to be afraid of. 2. Apart from a curtain to close your bed capsule and ear buds, there isn't much privacy or means of noise cancelling, it's a capsule hostel after all. If you are unlucky and get some less self-aware neighbor guests like me who prefer conference calling at 3AM... there is not much you can do. I appreciated the quick response from the owners though. 3. There is no food available in the hostel, so don't expect a breakfast. You're literally seconds away from plenty of amazing food spots though. 4. Bring your own towel.

Very hip and artsy space. Very clean and great lighting. A bit cold at night so back and extra set of socks and long night wear. Very fun and accessible space to shops, food and transit. Will be back.

This place has a very friendly vibe. It's a brilliantly unusual place which still has the room selection photos in reception from the love hotel days, and the spacious room had a light control panel by the bed to control the led floor and room lights. The reception staff were very helpful and friendly, and the free modest breakfast is a lively affair! The location is on the doorstep to Asakusa attractions like markets and a temple, so plenty to do without even taking the metro. Recommended for something different in a Tokyo stay.

This is a very unique hostel. Being a converted Love hotel means that the private rooms have their own showers and toilets, (while shared rooms do not). The staff were extremely hospitable, and a few breakfast was provided every morning (mainly toast and coffee, however it’s free so I was more than happy). The only thing to keep in mind is that, although the private rooms have a double bed, they are more futons on a base, rather than mattresses, and can be a bit small depending on your height (we are both very tall so it was a squeeze). That being said, it wasn’t an issue for us and we enjoyed our stay very much!

The hostel is located in an area with many restaurants and shopping centers. You can walk to Asakusa quarter and the Sky Tree. If you use the Tokyo metro, it is a little walk from the station to the Hostel (about 10 minutes). The staff is super friendly and will help you with everything (they recommended good restaurants to us and were also open to a chat). The atmosphere is cool, because you stay in an old Love Hotel and you will find old gadgets from that time in the room! So one can say you sleep in more or less in a museum (what also includes that the furniture is not the newest) ;) The kitchen is shared with all the other guests, but the bathroom is only for you (it also has a bathtub!)! We would stay here again. It s a good place for a few days of sightseeing and when you are on a small budget.

It’s in a very convenient location - near Asakusa. I recommend you to explore the Sento(public bath) 10min away from the hostel. It was very local and authentic. Also, the host was so friendly and kind. He went out of his way to help me with my needs. Thank you so much for your hospitality!! Highly recommended

One of the kindest hosts I've ever met! Property is also very centrally located... just a few steps away from the train station! The hostel occupies only one floor so it has this intimate feel. Will stay here again, that's for sure!

I had a good time at Hostel Haru. The host, Masa-san, was very nice and helpful. He even lent me his bicycle for a day. I also made some nice encounters in the shared area. The bed was confortable and the shower was clean. Can only recommend 👌🏻 まささん本当にありがとうございました 🙇‍♂️

Good hostel, recommended if you want to be in Asakusa. There is no elevator so be careful if you have heavy things.

The hosts made me feel welcome right away. They were really nice and accommodating. They gave me lots of useful tips on how to get around Tokyo. Hostel Haru is just several steps away from a subway line which proves very convenient for travellers. I didn't need to worry much about getting home late. There are lots of quaint restaurants in the neighborhood as well. Then there's a Don Quixote shopping mall just across the street where you can get most of your necessities.

It was a bit confusing at first, but later I talked to the landlord and came down to pick us up. Generally speaking, it was very good.

The location is great, the transportation is very convenient, and the boss's guide picture also made us check in smoothly. The room has a locker for luggage, so the whole room is very comfortable to move. There is a washing machine and a balcony to dry clothes. Unfortunately, there is no bathroom drying function or clothes dryer. You can only find a way to dry it indoors and let the heater dry the clothes.

I accidently booked here thinking I was booking a whole house for my family of four. While this stay wasn't what I wanted for a family (this was my mistake for not reading the listing properly), this cute, quaint old style Japanese house was sparkling clean, had good heating, and comfortable beds. We had a private room for the four of us that was seperate to the other guests, who were quiet and easy to share the space with. The house was in a great location, close to the skytree, a train station and a really yummy bakery. While it wasn't my ideal situation for our family group, I think it would be perfect for younger or single travelers who don't have a family in tow.

I think the only bad place is the stairs are too steep, so every time I go upstairs and downstairs are very careful, not very suitable for the middle-aged people over 40 to live (if the body is not good at climbing stairs). But the room is beautifully decorated, and it's not sleeping on the floor, which is very comfortable.There was a TV to watch (although I could hardly read Japanese haha) and the landlord's family was sweet and lovely.The toilets are also very clean and the showers are very convenient.There are 711 stores nearby.Here you can experience the daily life of Japanese residents.Also, you can see a big turnip building nearby, which may be related to the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games?! The house is very easy to find. It is very close to the subway station, two or three steps away, and there are many convenience stores, drug stores, like a commercial street. Although the bathroom is shared by two rooms, there is generally no conflict in use. The toilet is a room, clean and hygienic-the key bathroom is large! This is great ~ the privateness of the house is also very good. The stairs leading up are steep, so be careful. The host is super friendly and a lovely family! The male owner is holding his daughter to ask us if we have any questions, very caring! The host was very thoughtful. The kettle, small refrigerator, microwave, etc. are all available in the room. It is really very thoughtful!

This hostel is such an amazing place to stay, literally everything is perfect there: you're really close to Asakusa Station which is close to a few of Tokyos highlights like the Asakusa shrine, the Skytree and the National Museum. It is also very clean and the beds in the dormitory room are really big and comfy. There is a nice roof from where you can an incredible view of the Skytree and the most important thing is the staff - everybody there is really helpful and friendly and you can just stay at the lobby, watch some TV and talk to whoever is working at the moment and have a great time. I highly recommend this place.

It is close to the station and easy to find. The dormitory is a handmade bunk bed, so the ceiling is high and there is no feeling of pressure. The toilet and shower were new and beautiful. The contact was smooth and the reply was received immediately.

This place is the best guest house that I have ever been in my life since 1996. Super clean and everything I can wish for is all there. Very close from major stations and a heart of Tokyo. I would like to come back all the time whenever I come to Tokyo.

It is a very nice place to stay, the rooms are clean, comfortable and even if its a kind of capsule, they have enough space, the kitchen is big and very complete, and the location its great, you can walk on the surroundings, its a quiet neighborhood.

I totally recommend Nomad Hostel , everything was perfect during my staying there. The place has a great location, in a quiet neighborhood but just a few minutes walking you can be in the Senso Ji Temple and Nakamise Street. It's also near the metro station to go to other areas of Tokyo. The staff was very attentive and the cleanliness of the hostel is impeccable.
