When it was first spotted this old Umbrian cowshed had stood derelict for over 40 years and was in desperate need of some TLC. Now, newly completed (summer 2022) this traditional rural building has been lovingly restored by the owner architect, who with the help of amazing local craftsmen has sensitively combined the best of contemporary design with traditional restoration work. The 5-hectare property has 400 olive trees, several generations of pine trees, flowers and all kinds of fruit trees. We also have five chickens that provide fresh eggs every day. Pietro's apartment is located within a 7-story estate hectares of olive trees, vineyard and garden from which you can see the sea distance. The building that belonged to the Torlonia family still remains the charm of ancient houses. The apartment is on the first floor and recently renovated. The fireplace can be used on cold winter evenings. There are free-roaming animals on the property, including five cats, a cute little dog, two donkeys, chickens and a lonely turkey

Our house is located in the countryside of the municipality of Chiusdino, just 5 minutes from the two main towns of Monticiano and Chiusdino and 10 minutes from the beautiful Abbey of Galgano. 30 minutes from Siena, from Monteriggioni, an hour from Florence and 30/40 minutes from the sea. Just 20 minutes from the beautiful Terme del Petriolo.
