Charming blacksmith barn in Welsh border village

LizzieRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
The Fforge is the most beautiful barn conversion we’ve ever stayed in! It is such a relaxing, cosy and calming place to be. The interior design is perfect. The shower is amazing. So nice to use the log burner on a rainy/cold evening! The hill right behind has 360 degree views over the surrounding countryside. We also walked to the tennis court in the village and played there one morning. We went to the Hay festival in Hay on Wye which is nearby and one of the great towns to visit in the area. Would love to come back one day! Thanks so much

Little Loft: a light and bright studio with a view

CatharineRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
The Little Loft is a lovely place to stay with beautiful views, peace, quiet and parking. A homemade loaf of bread, with butter and milk were great welcoming touches too. The roads are narrow to get to this little haven, this adds to the remote and secret feel of the place (there is a little stream on the property too!)however the roads did take me a little while to get used to. Kate is very good at helping with any queries or issues that might occur.

Beautiful Cottage with Suntrap Garden

CiciRating, 5 stars1 week ago
Do not hesitate to book this place if you’re staying in Hay. Beautiful little cottage, great location close to the river walk and the village, not far from the bus stop. Two bedrooms upstairs with comfy beds, great shower/tub, wood-burning stove downstairs, well appointed kitchen with everything you need, lovely garden out back with chairs to sit in the sun and listen to the birds. Would definitely stay here again.

Stylish Hideaway in the Black Mountains

DamienRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
We had a fantastic time in the beautiful Black mountains. Lots of walks from the door and the location is very tranquil. There is an epic vinyl collection for music fans to explore and the accommodation was really comfortable. The sauna is excellent for rejuvenating tired muscles and you can lounge on sun beds to cool down for a real spa-like experience. The hosts were very welcoming and made our stay memorable, with lots of local recommendations. Hugo cooked us dinner one evening to eat in the garden surrounded by the mountains and it was delicious! Our daughter also got to feed the farm animals and play in the play area with rope swings, a trampoline and a zip wire. The town of Crickhowell is a short drive away and has lots of pubs, a couple of good coffee shops and two great butchers. There are several great restaurants in the area to explore and we will definitely be back as we ran out of time and this is a truly magical escape.
