Hut holiday rentals in River Severn

Just came back from spending 2 nights here and the stay was incredible. The pictures don’t do the place or scenery any justice at all! It’s a must visit, especially the 2 farm cats they were our best pals by the end of the stay. Would definitely recommend 🙂

We had such a lovely time at the shepherds hut, a perfectly peaceful and quiet get away - just what we needed! Great location for picturesque walks. We walked along Offas Dyke took 2.5 hrs straight from the hut. The local town had everything you needed only a short drive or 20 min walk away. We grabbed a takeaway pizza from Daphnes which was very delicious. Despite wet weather all weekend it did not dampen our spirits. The covered kitchen was a perfect location to cosy up and watch the thunder and lightning. It had everything you needed to make breakfast. The provided bread, bacon, eggs & milk were a lovely addition. The bed was very very comfy and the hut was clean, tidy & cosy. The hill up to the hut is steep but the provided wheelbarrow helped. Leaving in the rain was hilarious.

Amazing stay! The hut was exactly like the photos and just as described The thoughtful touches Prosecco milk cake hot chocolate and chocolate were lovely and really made us feel at home The hut was well appointed and everything had been well thought through and we did not want for anything The fact the washing up was done for you again added to the experience! The hot tub and view were beautiful and we were so lucky with the weather we made full use of the outdoor space Great recommendations on walks and places to eat! Thank you for a fantastic stay and being an amazing host- you went above and beyond!

This is our second trip here and it certainly wont be the last! We had the most amazing stay. The setting is perfect, the accommodation is perfect and the hosts are perfect! We even had 2 little dog friend's throughout our stay. Thank you so much and see you next time!

The Shepherds Hut was amazing, so cozy, clean and comfortable. Trish has thought of everything. The table and benches turn in to the bed base, with space underneath to store your bags. The bed was really comfortable and we both had a great nights sleep. The shower was great, towels provided. It's in a really quiet location and we had the added pleasure of seeing a glorious peacock on our arrival ! Trish is a really great host, lots of attention to detail such as: fresh free range eggs, cans of gin and tonic, chocolate biscuits, milk and a bottle of cold water in the fridge. Plus marshmallows for melting by a fire and a jar of sweets. Games to play, a folder with details of local pubs (all dog friendly), maps for local walks and booklets of places to visit. We recommend the Red Lion at Castle Eaton, a really friendly and welcoming pub, with very tasty food. We really enjoyed our weekend, so much to do and right in the heart of the Cotswolds. Amazing place, beutifull surroundings. Pod is comfortable, unique experience for us ,we loved it. Although we had constant rain and wind we managed to make camp fire which was lovely(bring your own logs). We would love to come back in better weather to fully enjoy the place. Thank you Sian!

The cabin was absolutely amazing! Exceeded all expectations. It was a beautiful, peaceful location with amazing views. Amazing hot tub too! The hosts definitely thought of everything, kitchen was so well kitted out. Top tip, grab some food to keep you going from the shops in Abbergaveny on the way up!

We had the best break away staying at Sharon's beautiful shepherds hut, the scenery was so beautiful, and it was the perfect place to unwind, our two dogs loved the hut and the enclosed garden, as well as exploring all of the public walkways. Sharon is a wonderful host and you will have the best holiday if you choose this little gem for your stay.

What a beautiful little getaway! David and Jackie were fantastic hosts, friendly and responsive. The Meadow View Hut was situated in the perfect location, offering gorgeous views, sights of birds of prey and deer. The location was private, peaceful and exactly what you want to unwind to get away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. Thank you for making this great place available!

What an absolute gem of a place. Beautiful accommodation in the most peaceful surroundings. The hut was immaculate with plenty of facilities. Sitting in the hot tub with the most amazing views has been delightful. An absolute must to visit to recharge the batteries. Highly recommend this lovely hut - We will definitely return.

We had a wonderful stay at Helen & Chris’s shepherds hut! They are the perfect hosts—friendly, welcoming, and incredibly responsive. The hut itself is absolutely beautiful, immaculately presented, and thoughtfully equipped with everything you could need. Set on a quiet country lane with stunning views towards the Malvern Hills, it’s the ideal spot for a peaceful countryside retreat. It truly has everything a couple could want for a relaxing escape. We highly recommend it and will definitely be returning in the future!

Amazing 2 night stay!! Super easy to find and in a nice and private location with really good local food restaurants. The hut was clean and provided everything we needed to cook when we wanted to as well as a nice relaxing garden space where we could hear the local chickens, horses and sheep. Georgina also gave us some amazing recommendations which we made good use of during our stay!! Check In was super quick and easy! Short walk from a great pub / restaurant called the Fox at Oddington where we ate on our second night. Overall, great stay. Highly recommend

Lovely little hut in a beautiful place, overlooking the fields and rolling hills. Hut was spacious and had all we needed for a few days away. Super dog friendly with the fence having wire on it, especially for our 8 month old cocker spaniel who was very intrigued by the cows! Becky was also responsive and helpful when my clumsy partner 😂 accidentally broke a glass and she came and hand delivered another later that evening. Would definitely stay again and recommend to others!

Had a wonderful stay. The location and hut are beautiful. Laura was very welcoming and the hut has everything you need. Plenty to do just a short drive away. I would advise anyone going in the warmer months, to take a fan, if you dont like sleeping with the window open. We will definitely return.

Popes hill was such a lovely stay , took my partner for his birthday along with our dog. Absolutely stunning views , lots of nice places to eat in the local area with a short drive , loads of lovely walks on your doorstep. Surrounding by wildlife and views. Bens place was lovely , spotless , a lovely hot tub, good size shower and bathroom. Perfect little stay. Highly recommended.

A lovely place to go away for a weekend retreat to relax! Beautiful scene and views. We took our little dog and the enclosed area around the hut was great for him to run around in nice and secure - the gates do have a little gap under so just keep an eye if you have a small sneaky escapee dog!

We had a lovely night away at the Shepherds hut, The host was lovely and greeted us when we got there and let us know if we had any issues with the hot tub we could message her The lodge was clean, modern and cozy and we would definitely recomend to others x

An absolutely beautiful place to stay! My husband and I spent our 1st wedding anniversary here and couldn’t have chosen better. Waking up to the stunning countryside views was incredibly peaceful and serene. Each day, we took short trips into Bath to explore the city, then returned to the calm and comfort of the countryside in the evening, it was the perfect balance. Laura was a wonderfully friendly and responsive host, ensuring everything was spotless for our arrival. She even left us some delicious local food, which made for the perfect breakfast on our first morning.

Arrived at 3pm check in, the road down there is a bit hectic but fine if you take it easy, my Fiesta managed it just fine. The Hut on the Hill was exactly like the pictures, inviting and cosy, and Mandy and David had gone out of their way to make personal touches such as fresh eggs, fresh bread and beautifully creamy fresh milk. Usually when Ben and I have gone to other locations with hot tubs the towels have been small and limited, but Mandy and David ensured there were large towels, and spare, and sliders too! Plus some beautiful towel dressing gowns. Mandy was very responsive and reassuring when I wanted to ensure we were parked in the right spot. The hot tub was already warm and easy to navigate, and we slept so well in the bed! The dog too enjoyed his freedom which was a major highlight for us. You can order food and wine from the hosts and if we'd stayed longer, we definitely would of. This place was beyond our expectations and would love to come back.

Fantastic spot nesseled in the Beautiful Welsh Valleys This place truly has everything you could ask for. It’s private and secluded with breathtaking views of the valleys, offering a real sense of escape - yet it’s just a short 15-minute drive to a large supermarkets for all your essentials. We were fortunate with the weather and took full advantage of the outdoor gas BBQ, which was a fantastic addition. We also made the 1.5-hour drive to Snowdon and climbed the mountain early Sunday morning - an unforgettable highlight of the trip. We would still highly recommend this spot to anyone seeking a peaceful, nature-filled getaway with easy access to adventure.
