Kid-friendly holiday rentals in Rio Hato

This home was perfect! In a luxury, private peaceful gated community of Buenaventura. Home was exactly what we were looking for while celebrating our 25th anniversary. You can lounge by the backyard pool or walk 50 feet and play in the hotel pool! Very well stocked kitchen. Comfy beds and last but not least it always so reassuring to have a good host that you can rely on. Sandra and Esi were just that!

Rustic house sitting on a gorgeous property in a beautiful town! Two large outdoor areas to relax and soak in the beauty of the property. Location is just one block from the main street making it an easy walk to town. The kitchen is dated but had the basics needed for our cooking needs.

Great stay. The place was as described and the view was just amazing! Live right on the beach - great. Nearby are some restaurants (e.g. Surf Shack) with top dishes, cocktails and absolutely friendly staff. It was a wonderful stay and the reliable and extremely friendly communication with the host also contributed to this. We will be happy to come back!

The house is excellent comfortable with everything you need. The super cozy pool area to enjoy as a family. La playa suer nearby and with bohios to rent. We had a wonderful month here in April-May 2025. Follow the written AND photo pictures she provides the 1st time you try to get here - there is one turn that is confusing but her picture for that turn completely makes it clear. The kitchen is very well equipped. We especially appreciated the air fryer. The location is quiet. The people we have met are friendly. Massive couches were comfortable. House was in good repair. Large yard with fruit and other trees. The climate was great, we only needed the A/C sparingly especially with the pool. All of us (my wife, one of our adult children and our 4 younger kids 12,11,10 and 9) will return. Asados Fefa: tiny & tiny menu but great food at low cost &La Paradita Grill Restaurant (try their Chorizo Tableño) are worth going to though only open weekend evenings, there's a wonderful low cost panadaria a km away, though we never figured out what its hours were! Try the fruit/veggie vendors East of Rio Hato and West of Anton, lots of variety, low $

Since we arrived, we felt a special energy: the cozy atmosphere, the thoughtful decor, and all the amenities one might want to rest and enjoy as a family. It was days of total disconnection, laughter, games, good food and unforgettable moments. The house allowed us to reconnect, share without haste and enjoy every moment. Every corner invited you to relax and feel at home. Definitely a 100-point experience that will remain in our hearts. Would come back a thousand more times!

Sergio’s place was simply amazing. I loved sitting outside smelling the fresh avocado trees and relaxing in the pool. Sergio was responsive and gave great recommendations. Emeralda was so helpful ! Her cooking was better than restaurants we ate locally. I highly recommend the BBQ mix . It was awesome!

My favorite Airbnb stay to date, and best host I have had to date. Maggie was super helpful, responsive and friendly. Place is great. Highest recommendation.

An amazing place which for sure we will return to. Close to the beach, a great pool with nice staffing. Overall atmosphere was amazing and we really felt 'home' amongst the other guests.

Awe man…where do I start??! This was by far more than we expected! The hosts were amazing, which matched the condo! We were just in awe of the views, the well stocked kitchen, and all the little extras like the liners for the coffee pot and even the air fryer! Beautiful bathrooms, bedrooms, and OMG the balcony looking over the pools and ocean!! No doubt we will spread the word and already know where we’re staying the next time we’re in town!! Thank you Madeline and James for making this a dream come true for my family!! I don’t have one single complaint, and believe me, that’s not like me!!

I had an amazing stay at this beach apartment! The location couldn’t be better—in a family oriented community, a short walk from the beach club, gym, beach and pools. The apartment was spotless, well-equipped, and exactly as described. The host was responsive and made check-in seamless. Highly recommend this place for a peaceful and memorable getaway! Would definitely book again.
