Fitness-friendly holiday rentals in Red Hook

Our stay at Nanyamka’s place was really nice. She was kind, proactive about things like power outages, and helpful. The unit is new with lots of indoor space. Other reviewers mentioned that the interior is dark—it is true that there is not a lot of natural light (all windows do look out onto a rock wall or storage space), but we weren’t there during the day, so it was fine for us. There are amazing beaches not that far away so we spent our daylight hours there! The exterior has a separate and shared porch with amazing views. There were a few amenities we needed to purchase like dish soap, toilet paper, cooking oil, and Cascade, but we used them during our week-long stay, so it was worth it. Like other guests, I cannot recommend strongly enough renting a car—we got a Jeep and are so glad we did. It is a bit remote. We are not used to such steep roads, sharp curves, and avoiding huge potholes, so the Jeep made our whole stay on this island so much easier and safer-feeling.

The location is excellent within an easy drive to Red Hook and several beaches. All the necessities were included such as beach chairs, towels and a washer and dryer. The complex has a gym, a small pool and is walkable to two restaurants.

We loved this condo. Well appointed kitchen including a dishwasher and all the appliances you could ask for. Washer and dryer were very useful after a day at the beach . Everything was so close that we didn’t feel we needed a car (even tho you get a dedicated parking space). Shared taxis to the beaches are just 5 mins walk away. We appreciated use of the included beach chairs which were easy to carry on trips .

Great host, was easy to reach as well. Her condo matched the pictures that she posted. Check in was very easy she made us feel like we were at home. Definitely going to book with her again.

Loved staying at Lime Tree! We stayed at 2 places in St. Thomas. This one, and one at Sapphire Beach. Lime Tree has a more secluded beach. It's small, but beautiful. If you're more into amazing view than getting in the ocean, this is great! There are some reefs around to snorkle (rent from the shop at the resort), but other than relaxing and eating, there's not much to do immediately around. The grounds were kept very clean. I would definitely stay here again for a lazy, relaxed retreat.

I like these locations for local staycations. I have stayed with Dell multiple times and look forward to staying again. Locations are private, can be noisy but it’s quiet MOST times from my experience, and just a minute walk away from my favorite beach. Coki Point. I definitely recommend if these are some of the things you’re looking for!

This unit was a beautiful location overlooking the resort pool and Cruz bay. The unit was clean and well kept. I can’t wait to go back!

Tracy’s place is perfect! Walking distance to great restaurants in Cruz, the ferry, and the taxi stand. Could not have chosen a better area for our first trip to STJ. Her welcome guide is super helpful and the condo has beach chairs, coolers, towels, etc. so you can pack light. Would definitely recommend having a few things delivered from the grocery store (we used Dolphin Market but it is walkable). Don’t miss a happy hour at Beach Bar!

As stated - two bedroom villa in the Marriott Frenchman’s Cove. Beautiful view from the deck. Not much at this resort in terms of restaurants. Will need to rent a car or take taxis everywhere from this location. Taxis charge per person, not by the mile so for bigger groups a rental car is needed.

The resort was perfect and the staff was very helpful and friendly. However, the only thing that saddened me was that the wave pool and jacuzzi was no longer on site. I figured it out once we were heading down to enjoy it. But overall I enjoyed eveything else and the place was very clean.

First time in St. Thomas and it won’t be our last. Super convenient staying here. Lots of food options near by, checkout Vinny’s/Chester’s/Shoreline/Luckys. Coki beach was a short walk away. Pools were great, the reggae music entertainment was fun.

Anna was awesome and easy to book with. Margaritaville is St. Thomas at all cost. The place is extremely inconvenient to get to and there is nothing the area. The beach is covered in sea weed that's a foot deep and goes out 50 feet from the sand. You will get zero sleep at this resort and the staff is not helpful at all. There is a high pressure sales team in the lobby trying to talk people into time shares so avoid them at all cost. The food and bar staff is slow and rude. Food is horrible and over priced for what you get, plus the drinks are weak and watered down. There is no nearby parking so you have to walk 300 yards from parking to the lobby area and then climb steps up the mountain to your room. I booked a room close to the lobby and still had to climb 40+ steep steps then walk a couple blocks. Lord help you if your at the top or front of the property. If they offered me a free return trip for all the issues, I would still not go back.

The front desk staff was pleasant and the condo was beautiful and comfortable. The beach has a lot of sea grass, but we rented a car for easy access to other beaches plus shopping and food. Parking was also convenient.

Extraordinary! That is exactly how I describe my experience of staying at the extraordinarily beautiful home belonging to Shirley and Ken. Everything about Shamalie deserves the highest accolades from the home’s spectacular and elegant design, cleanliness, swimming pool, and top-notch amenities to the convenient location with breathtaking views of the harbor. Shirley is the consummate host. Personable, friendly, attentive, communicative and provides outstanding service to ensure a comfortable stay. It’s a 5-star plus property. I’m designating Shamalie as my official “go to”AirBNB whenever I need a home away from home on the beautiful island of St. Thomas. I can’t wait to return!

The place is beautiful. The views are breathtaking and the apartment is very well equipped. Not easy to find at night the first time around, but Sonny was extremely helpful to get us there and for everything else that we needed during our stay. It was great to have Sonny to help us with any questions we had. The access to the beach can be challenging for seniors or those with disabilities. It is great to have the Sugarcane restaurant nearby. The food is very good and the service extremely kind. Finally, I'd recommend to place in advance an order for groceries and booze with Riteway. In our case, it was delivered from Tortola before our arrival date and it made our stay much easier.

Pura Vida was lovely! The entire home was spotless. The views and the outdoor pool was our favorite. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook our meals. The grounds were beautiful and interesting. The ruins had its own little history lesson and we loved the shell book and its history to previous owners of the home. We couldn’t have had a better experience. Thank you so much!

10 out of 10, not only was the place amazing, but K was the best host. She checked in with us and gave us all the information we needed to enjoy our stay. K was super accommodating as well. The views were absolutely stunning! One of the best sunrises I’ve ever witness, and the cool thing was, you didn’t have to go anywhere to see it, you literally just walked out on the balcony and there it was. Place was extremely clean and well organized, pool in the back is perfect for a relax and chill kind of day. The location is on the north end of the island, you can walk to the local market, we would get groceries there. We went to Sib’s, bar/restaurant close by, one of the oldest restaurants on the island I believe. The food was great! If you want a super private, check out for a couple of days, to rest and relax, this is your place. Do not hesitate, go ahead and book it. Thanks again to K for being the best host and allowing Sami and I to stay at your place. We will be back for sure!

Lynn’s place was fantastic. The kitchen was truly amazing. I have never had a kitchen so well stocked. It was excellent. Everything you could ever need. The. Entire place was perfect.

We are an incredible stay at the Hills. The property was exactly as described, beautifully appointed, exceptionally clean with every amenity. The views were amazing. The staff was very helpful in arranging for grocery delivery... We will definitely return.

Flame Villa is nothing short of paradise. The property, view, beach, and access to the resort amenities were 5 star. It was peaceful, and private, but could easily access the club and restaurants by foot. Communication was outstanding and the house was very well appointment. We wanted for nothing except a longer stay! We will be back for sure.

We had an amazing stay in Charlotte’s home! Her local friend, Penney, was so sweet and helpful to us. She communicated directly with our charter service to help us find the home, she stocked us with a few supplies upon our late evening arrival & she ensured to stop in and make sure we didn’t have any questions about the home. The views were amazing and there were several beach spots/restaurants within walking distance. We loved the unique location and all the fun animals who visited during our stay! The home was clean and spacious - perfect for large families or groups of friends! Thank you again for a lovely stay!!
