Cottage holiday rentals in Reading

We stayed at Paul’s lovely property for the second time as we loved it so much the first time round. Our recent stay was made even better by the addition of a hot tub , the ping pong table and loads of board games and activities. The bedrooms were clean and comfy like before and we loved the living and dining space. Our 3 kids had an amazing time running around in the garden and going for little walks around the grounds. The welcome basket was a lovely surprise and we loved having freshly popped popcorn for our movie evenings at the house! The property is close to Millets Farm Centre which was great for the kids as there’s always a lot to do there!

A beautiful cottage, small but perfectly formed! Private, everything you need, great hot-tub, cosy, tastefully decorated, lovely area!

This lovely cottage has been renovated to an exceptionally high standard and is the perfect place for a family stay. It has everything we needed, including high chair, stair gates etc which saved so much stress, and the deck and garden areas provide really lovely outdoor play space. Louise was easy to contact and very welcoming. We will definitely come back again soon!

The White Cottage is a truly magical experience, and combined with Sally’s as the perfect host, we came away from our short break with memories that will last a lifetime. The location is breathtakingly peaceful. A garden within a garden set in landscape where time has good still. The stream that runs through garden is a playground for wildlife and you’ll be sharing your breakfast with ducks and moorhens. If you want a break oozing peace and quiet, a chance to unwind, and forget the day to day life the white cottage has it spades. Sally is a delightful host. Nothing is too much trouble. You arrive as a guest and leave as a friend. We loved it

Had a good stay and used the location as a base to explore the North Wessex Downs. The house itself was as described and the kids enjoyed the hot tub. Large garden for kids to run around in.

We just had a wonderful long weekend in Wherwell in Rob & Sue’s beautiful cottage. Such a stunning village, the cottage exceeded our expectations, Rob & Sue were fantastic hosts & the breakfast pack was great. We finished the weekend with a lovely soak in the hot tub. Thank you Rob for the lift on the Saturday & your kindness.

Lovely cottage, all the amenities you need and a private garden. Whilst not an issue for us the entrance is down a few flights of steps from where you park your car so anyone with walking disabilities may struggle. Chipping Norton whilst not the prettiest of the Cotswold towns certainly has everything you need. Would recommend the Fox Inn for a drink or a reasonably priced meal.

The Barn was a lovely stay, very spacious and well looked after. John was very communicative and would respond to us very quickly there was a few things which would have improved the stay quite significantly: 1. The WiFi really was not very good. 2. The barn needs a new frying pan, this has been burnt from the amount of usage it’s had. We were going to have sausage and bacon sandwiches but it kept burning our sausages so we gave up. 3. There was a lot of dust in certain areas (especially the bathroom and ceilings). Overall, though a very lovely stay, and if we come to the Cotswold we would stay again. Thank you.

We had a lovely time. Love the location. Perfect for walkers. Inside was light and airy. Bed was very comfortable. The animals were happy and friendly and the area has lots of wildlife. We enjoyed going for walks and visiting Hungerfords Elaine's for lunch. Look forward to visiting again.

Had a great stay here and everything was perfect. We managed to try the only local pub and the food and beer was excellent and value for money. The Indian restaurant was better than and from my local area in Stockport. The location is great for Oxford and we did a day trip to the Diddly Squat Farm. Tracey is a great host and we would definitely stay here again next time we are in the area.

We had a wonderful stay here, the cottage was really clean with everything you could need including lovely toiletries/soap/hand creams, a well equipped kitchen and tennis rackets for the court outside. It was located in a really peaceful area, with easy access to paths straight from the cottage. Lots of choice of places to eat nearby . The outside space was great, our children loved having a go on the tennis court and we even saw a deer in the garden! Georgie was quick to respond to pur questions, helpful and offered flexibility around check in/out. we would definitely come back!

Fabulous little cottage in such a peaceful area. A shop, cafe and pub all within walking distance. Chipping Norton or 'Chippy' as it's locally known, is a lovely area too with lots of pubs and restaurants and a great antiques centre. It was easy to drive to all the destinations we had looked at before going. Janice also has lots of local knowledge and books if you're stuck. The cottage was clean and comfortable, with lovely outdoor seating when the weather behaves. There was also milk in the fridge and amazing fresh crumpets to greet us after our drive. We would definitely return and recommend to anyone. Thank you so much for a very memorable stay.

Excellent host. Hannah’s property is in an ideal location for Cotswolds wildlife park and gardens. Lots of excellent villages/towns nearby; Bourton-on-the-Water, Burford and Stow-on-the-Wold to name a few. The property had everything we needed, great sized rooms, very comfortable, a home away from home. The beds were so comfortable; we had the best nights sleep during our stay! The garden was a lovely space, despite the wind we made good use of it! We will look forward to staying at Hannah’s place again. Thank you.

What a wonderful place to stay in a beautiful area. Highly recommend if looking for somewhere to stay away with your dog. The converted stable was clean and tidy, and the bathroom was big and modern. Also had one of the comfiest beds we’ve stayed on! Short drive away from Goring and Lardon Chase which have some beautiful walks. This was our first Airbnb as well, so the bar has been set pretty high!

The place was spotless, communication with the host was smooth and responsive, and everything was exactly as described. The setting was incredibly peaceful with amazing views over the surrounding fields—perfect for a relaxing getaway. The local area is full of charm, with great pubs nearby and stunning countryside scenery all around. I’d absolutely recommend this place to anyone looking for a quiet retreat in the Cotswolds. Would love to return!

A wonderful Airbnb tucked away in a peaceful, quiet neighborhood in Kingston Upon Thames. Loved how easy it was to get to the train station and to lots of restaurants and shops. Would recommend staying here to anyone!

I and my guests absolutely loved our stay at Rosamund’s property. The property was a great place to enjoy slow mornings and evenings. We enjoyed the gorgeous views, the quiet of the village, and the cosy fireplace. We found the location to be a great base to explore the rest of the Cotswolds by foot and car. There are some great attractions both local and a little further out. Rosamund greeted us on our first night and gave us some amazing recommendations to avoid tourists traps. Outside of that first meeting we had complete privacy to enjoy the property - not that we wouldn’t have loved to bump into Ros again! I’d absolutely love to go back and stay again. I hope I will!

We had a lovely stay in Henry’s apartment. Do be prepared for the steep stairs and smaller spaces, but these were offset by good design- ample built-in storage, well-placed outlets- that made our stay comfortable. The neighborhood is beautiful and the location provided an ideal combination of peace and privacy, but with plenty of activity just around the corner. Finally, Henry was generous and flexible with us when our plans didn’t align with the check-out hours. Many thanks for a lovely stay.

Super stay at Rose Cottage! Located on a beautiful peaceful farm, yet just 1 minute from an excellent pub and great villages. A great base for our Surrey hills adventure! Colette was an excellent, responsive and helpful host! The cottage was immaculately clean and well stocked! Colette kindly brought us over some farm eggs and introduced us to her lambs! It was a delightful week. Thank you!

Our group came from Manchester and spent just one night here. The cottage was definitely a change of scenery comparing to the busy Manchester city living style. The cottage is situated in a secluded area where there are ample walking trails for people who love nature. Julie, our host’s mom, was very accommodating and she was very friendly in explaining and introducing the cottage to us. The cottage definitely meets our expectations as a place to spend a quiet night for our group cooking our own dinner and spent a night chit-chatting.

What a great place. Well-equipped with comfortable furnishings throughout. The welcome pack of tea, coffee, milk, etc wasn't expected but was most welcome.. Thank you for letting us hold our "family gathering lunch" on Sunday afternoon and allowing our 7 young granddaughters the run of the garden.
