An absolutely amazing trip. We booked the boathouse to get away from the world for a few days and experience one of Minnesota's beautiful lakes. When we arrived at the boat landing, Julia was waiting for us and took us out to the island. During our visit, we never went further out then we could paddle. The island is a very serene setting - a perfect blend of awe inspiring nature, as well as rustic, yet very comfortable anemities. We spent our days sleeping in a comfortable bed, cooking lunch in the full kitchen while taking in the beauty of the lake, taking in the smell of the pines and exploring the waters on kayaks, paddleboards, and the aquabike. We enjoyed a beautiful sunset every night from the shore, and took our time looking at the endless stars before before retiring to the boathouse for the night. At night, we listened to the waves crash against the shore and loons sing to each other. To the people who grew up visiting the Northwoods, this will feel very nostalgic, and people who have never been will enjoy the new memories and experiences greatly. A perfect place to disconnect from the world. In addition to the wonderful nature and great boat house, Julia is an absolute gem of a person. From the moment we met her, she was so kind and welcoming. You can tell she has a great love and appreciation for the island. She was extremely responsive to questions prior to arriving, as well as when we were on the island. I cannot thank her enough.

Very nice place and in a great location. Would stay again in a heartbeat. David was very clear on the communication and made sure we had everything we needed. Cabin was well stocked with miscellaneous items in case you forgot something.

Pristine little cabin at an awesome resort with lots of stuff to do for adults and kids alike.

We stayed at Westwood Cabin for a week and had a truly great experience. The view of Moose Lake from the cabin was spectacular — it was great to start each day with the sun rising over the water. The cabin itself was cozy, clean, and comfortable, with everything we needed for a relaxing stay. Our kids especially loved taking advantage of all the resort amenities — from swimming to paddle boats, canoes, paddle boards, there was always something new to keep them entertained. Overall, it was a peaceful getaway that gave us the chance to truly disconnect from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. We are looking forward to our next stay.

Our young kids had so much fun! The highlights for them were definitely the swing set and the boat rental.

Beautiful area in the pines that provided a great city escape. Shawn was a great host and I really couldn’t rave more about the location: so peaceful with classic Northern MN charm.

This cabin was quiet, clean, full of amenities and comforts of home. David communicates in a friendly and professional manner and responds quickly to emails and texts. The restaurants in the area are all amazing and everyone was incredibly friendly. I would highly recommend this stay, including families with children and pets. Thank you David!!

This cabin is fantastic! Very comfortable and great amenities. I wish my kitchen at home was as nice! There were endless bedrooms and the view was gorgeous. I didn’t want to leave.

Can’t say enough great things about this cabin. Such cute decor, clean as a whistle, such a well stocked kitchen, comfy beds, awesome location. We would head back in a second!

Thank you Shawn, Everything was clean, convenient, and comfortable. All in working order. The view is spectacular. We so enjoyed the deck overlooking the Lake...peaceful. We were here for the golf and it did not disappoint. Two are in the top 100 public golf courses. We will make this trip again and definitely stay here.
