This was a great location for our friends and family fishing trip. Getting up in the morning to watch the sun come up on the river didn’t suck either. Beautiful!! We all enjoyed our time at the cabin. Great, proactive hosts too!!

I’m so happy we picked this one! The location was really great. Easy to launch our boat and find the dock, which by the way is a great dock. Close to town, where I went too often to get an iced latte and raspberry white chocolate scone at Sulu’s. 2 different trails that could take you to Soudan or to Tower. If we ever have the opportunity to stay again, I would bring our bikes. The house was spacious, super clean and had everything you could think of. It kept our 5 year old occupied when he didn’t want to go out fishing. Not once did he ever complain that he was bored.

This was a quiet comfortable space in a beautiful area off the beaten path. Many fun extras and care included. Will definitely stay again when we need some downtime. On our last evening we were greeted by seven deer just outside the patio door. The whole family enjoyed the weekend.

Westwood is a rustic and beautiful home on a large, private lakeshore lot. Richard and the lodge management staff were very friendly and ensured we had a great stay. Had an amazing visit and would highly recommend it!

We had a beautiful week with beautiful weather at this wonderful home. Every morning we were greeted with the sunrise over the Lakefront. The house was just as described online and Joy was a great host and very responsive.

Great host! Locked ourselves out on a stormy day,,but we were back in within minutes! Also,,,the garage was an absolute life-saver when a hail storm came through!! Saved our vehicle!! Although it was high mosquito season,,,no bugs of any kind made it into the house. It was easy to access the highways around the area, with some great restaurants in Chisholm (Valentini’s),,,also Sammy’s Pizza in Hibbing,,,,,and Canelakes Candies in Virginia! Plenty of lakes for swimming and enjoying,,,especially McCarthy State Park Beach nearby! Duluth is just over an hour away; go visit the lift bridge, lighthouse and museum on Lake Superior, and nearby is the Aquarium. Had a wonderful time, comfortable beds and WIFI/Roku so everyone was happy!

Perfect place for the guys golf trip. close to course and walkable to bars and restaurants for the nights.

Travis place was cozy. Tv worked well. There was a white squirrel that was running around the trees in the morning very cool to see. If i needed to stay in the area would definitely pick this place again.

Incredibly secluded and everything was home like. Very clean and well stocked kitchen. Grilling was great. Kayaks were in great shape. Fire pit was huge and ample wood for it. Outdoor dining was available. Room for 10 when dining inside and another 5 outside. Ducks, geese, an otter and loons swim by. Ample towels, extra pillows and blankets. Prepare to oversleep if you don’t set an alarm to get up being it’s so peaceful.

This place was a large space for up to 12+ people that want to enjoy some of the best golf in the US - amazing up north Minnesota vacation area. Our 8 guy golf group had plenty of things to do in the evening after golf - some did fishing, others cooked on the amazing covered grill area, while others just enjoyed the outdoor large deck. I would suggest this location for larger family gatherings that enjoy spacious sand beach area on a lake also!
