Holiday rentals with a kayak in Rabun County

I couldn't be more pleased with my first AirBnB stay. The place was clean, inviting, and well-stocked. I wasn't expecting spices, dog toys, dog bowls, dog cot, etc. The fully fenced in yard, lake access, available kayaks, and privacy are the only things I wanted and this place sure supplied! the hot tub, outdoor shower, and firepit were huge bonuses. Also, met and talked with the neighbor who is super friendly 😉 I stayed alone the first half with my dogs and got my peace in. The second half a couple girl friends joined and we thoroughly enjoyed paddling out the this little island and throwing rocks, trying to fish, etc. Enjoying using the coloring supplies, games, and grill as well! It did storm most of the week, but even that was enjoyable! 10/10 experience for us all.

AMAZING! Christine’s place is an absolute gem and she is an absolutely amazing host. Everything was as planned and even more. Great lake community, really peaceful with a 2 min walk to beach area. House was perfect size and spotless. This is a great spot and Christine is super helpful and responsive. Also was surprised how short of a drive it was from all the things you could need, restaurants, stores, etc. and best of all real close to Clemson!

The lake house was even better than the pictures. The property grounds were beautiful and an easy walk down to the dock. Our kids had the best time swimming from the dock and kayaking in the cove. We brought our boat and I really appreciated the nice fendering on the dock. We would love to stay at Phillips house again in the future.

We enjoyed a relaxing 3 night stay in Bobby and Dina’s beautiful, river house and they were the perfect hosts! They were very responsive to questions and even offered area suggestions including a wonderful local butcher, for our BBQ night on the deck, listening to the peaceful sounds of the river. This home had everything we needed to prepare meals, very clean and tastefully decorated. We highly recommend this home for your trip to the Murphy area and would love to return when we have more time to fish & kayak!

This is our second time staying here for new years and it was great as usual. It is very peaceful at this property. Very clean and perfect for our group size. We would stay again.

We absolutely loved our stay here! It’s the perfect get away on the lake for big groups. It is in a quiet neighborhood. The kitchen is fully stocked with anything you could need. 10/10 recommend!!

Perfect home for a family or group. Very spacious and clean, fully stocked kitchen we cooked dinner every night! The dock was perfect for tanning and swimming, our daughters also loved the kayaks and paddle board. Very peaceful location. We would highly recommend this home to anyone looking for a lake trip! This place is a great location , stocked well and can walk to everything in town . Communicate great . We were in town for a wedding at Village on Green -so easy to get to everything.

We spent Easter weekend here. As we drove in the wild azaleas and dogwoods were blooming, and everything afterwards was just as beautiful and peaceful. My teenagers loved kayaking and my daughter liked the pond so well she slept on the daybed on the porch. I appreciated the feather pillows and reverse osmosis water. Attention has been paid to every detail. I called my Nana to show her the antique desks. My small children enjoyed the toys and my middle son using the pully bucket on the porch. My daughter celebrated a birthday over our stay, more movie guests showed up than expected and I just couldn't turn these kids away. Our hosts were so kind. They of course charged a little extra as was clearly understood via the contract, they were very understanding and polite. The lock to the boat seems to be jamed, the downstairs fireplace is currently non operational, and I'm not sure I'll get back a thumb drive I forgot, but this family has worked hard to create really special place. Five star

Loved this stay! They were very accommodating in letting me move my reservation after some family things arose. The parking is as described so pay special note to that. I really appreciated all the small details along with a well stocked kitchen (spices, staples, even s’mores!) and the bathroom essentials. Would recommend and would stay again!

Great get-away for a family! Lots to do on the property, you can fish, swing, look for salamanders in the creek and look at the waterfall. Sitting by the firepit watching the river go by was relaxing.

We had a wonderful relaxing week at the lake. The house was inviting and cozy and stocked with everything we needed. The exterior was very well maintained with beautiful landscaping. Mary was very helpful and responsive to any questions we had. We loved our stay and would highly recommend.

This place was amazing! The inside is decorated beautifully and the lake/dock area is perfect for those looking to relax. There are so many cozy areas inside and outside the house to unwind and enjoy the peacefulness. We wish we had more time here to just getaway and we will definitely be coming back in the summer when it is warmer!

The Lake house was one of the quietest and most peaceful air b-and-b's we have stayed at. The new back deck is the highlight of the lake cabin. The rest of the cabin is fully equipped and functional, but we hardly left the back deck. With its fenced in area and gate was perfect for the dog. The kayaks and dock are a nice addition. It is located close to good dining at Micas restaurant and Whiteside brewery. We came for the hiking in Panthertown area. We will be back again.

Wonderful time in this home, tons of space and close to everything downtown. Lovely location with a peaceful dock to sit out for coffee. Home was comfortable and everything was as described. Thanks again!

We loved this lakeside cabin. Both the cabin and exterior were very clean and well maintained. The kitchen was equipped with everything we needed. The screened outdoor patio was great for meals. We really enjoyed the kayaks and hot tub, as well. There is a short walk to a beautiful waterfall. Access to the cabin was easy. Sarah, our host, is an excellent communicator. Our Family of 9 enjoyed our time together at the Lizard Lodge Lake house. There was plenty of room for us all, and beds were very comfortable. Fully stocked kitchen to make meals in. It is located in quiet community with lots of wildlife. I’m glad I brought my binoculars for birdwatching. The hot tub was amazing as well. The kids Loved the lake! Highly recommend.

We loved our vacation on the lake in Tamassee! The location was perfect. We went on 2 beautiful hikes in nearby Nantahala National Forest (highly recommend) and spent lots of time on the beautiful lake jocassee and keowee. The house had everything we needed, was private and peaceful, and we saw lots of wildlife. Tom was very responsive, but we hardly needed to reach out because we had everything we needed.

Cute one bedroom cottage with nice views of the lake. We really enjoyed having access to the two kayaks that came with the rental. Little kitchen & living space were perfect for the two of us - liked the convenience of being able to cook meals there. Overall really enjoyed our stay & the proximity of the cottage to all the great outdoor hiking & sightseeing was amazing!

Beautiful place and in a quiet cove. Water off the dock was deep! We enjoyed everything they had to offer.

Wow, what a truly incredible space. My jaw just absolutely dropped to the floor upon pulling up and checking everything out. gorgeous home with plenty of areas to hang out - living room, outdoor screened porchs, hot tub, fire pit and of course the boat dock. This place felt right at home and Corey was incredibly supportive throughout the process. Would be back in a heartbeat.
