A really nicely done space that was pleasant to stay. Quiet & relaxing. Great host! Even gave us Americans our extra needed coffee 😎. Able to cook there too. Nice small market next door. Several typical restaurants on the same block. Close drive to the beautiful Comporta beach area. At dusk, there are a lot of mosquitoes outside, so bring bug spay.

We had an exceptional stay, in a quiet environment, and a beautiful house that has everything you could need. Each room is furnished with great taste and everything has been thought of to anticipate our needs. We'll be happy to go back

We had a gorgeous stay here with our toddler. The house had everything we needed for traveling with a child and was complete with toys, beach going needs like towels, umbrellas, and beach toys, as well as a crib and high chair. We borrowed their bikes and explored town and loved visiting the gelato place that’s around the corner. At night, we listened to the frogs in the rice paddies behind the house and loved watching the bird life during the day. Getting to the beach was quick and easy and we spent two days there. Thank you for sharing your home with us!

Jerusas property is stunning. Very spacious and beautifully decorated, had everything you could need in a holiday home. Host is very clear with communication and so helpful, always ready to answer any questions. Guests should make sure to have a car as although by car you can reach many locations within 3-5 minutes, by walking it could be a little more difficult. Overall experience was fantastic and very relaxing.

We have not often rented such a well-maintained, stylish and high-quality furnished and well-equipped house on AirBnB! The rooms are very comfortable and spacious and there is more than the necessary equipment available - beach towels, bathrobes, supplies for use in the kitchen, etc. The house is not quite as idyllic in a somewhat remote new development area (which we knew from the advertisement), but it is very practical for excursions to Lisbon or to the sea. A car is definitely recommended. Thanks for the great stay, we felt very comfortable!

If you want a real local Sintra experience then this is your place. Charming house with a lot of character, charm and history. We were a group of 6 and cooked in for dinner 2 of the three nights. Very close to town center for walking. It’s a very hilly town so if you like walking it’s great for you. Maria could not have been nicer.

Just had an amazing stay here, the villa is even better in person than on the photos and the heated pool was lovely. Ana Paula was great to deal with, very friendly, gave us lots of useful tips and information . we will be back !

Fabulous villa. Extremely comfortable and well equipped. Beautiful garden and pool. Easy access to central Lisbon via ferry. Close to long sandy beach.

Our stay with José was completely successful! The place was beautiful and the view of the horse meadow was simply fantastic. We especially liked the lovingly arranged breakfast basket in the morning – a great touch! Helping with the feeding of the animals was also a real highlight, especially for nature lovers. The possibility of taking small hikes over horse and cow meadows rounded off our stay perfectly. We felt very comfortable and will definitely be back when we are in the area!

The place was modern and comfortable. I had 2 good nights of sleep in there. Shower was good, everything worked well. The location will depend on what you want. Everything was clean apart from the calcium in the bathroom glass. Honestly it doesn’t bother me at all, it is just a tip for the owners. Everything else was perfect, I would definitely stay there again depending on my needs due to its location. You can see that the owners really care about how you feel when staying at their place.

We had a great stay. Within walking distance there are great restaurants and the beach is walkable but also only a few minute drive! The place was exactly as described and super cozy. The town was also very peaceful and was generally very quiet (still off season).

I remember reading a review of one guest saying how this was the nicest ABNB they ever stayed at, and i have to say that this was spot on. the location and view are spectacular. the house excellent. Highly recommend staying here. Host was also very responsive and a pleasure to deal with.

We had a wonderful stay! Just a short summary of pros and cons: + Antonio and Maria were great hosts - communication and help was excellent when needed. They brought fresh bread every morning which means less driving to the next town as a guest - fantastic! The house has an amazing view. which is almost unbeatable. The neighborhood is calm with no hotels/noise. - Compared to the fotos it was a bit smaller and older/with signs of normal use than we expected, but of course its sometimes difficult to tell by pictures. Since its southern Europe, be prepared for some insects (has nothing to do with the accommodation but might be helpful to know) - but Antonio and Maria had us prepared with some mosquito repellents and insecticide sprays. The lower bathroom has a strange smell when the drain hasn't been used regulary - but Antonio offered help immediately after we wold him and eventually it improved . All in all a great stay just with some small hints you should know - thank you again!

The house is beautiful, everything works perfectly well. We had only one problem, on the last day the hot water failed and it did not return until we left. Unfortunately on this day the host did not respond promptly as usual and the solution presented did not work. However, I considered this problem to be something punctual, since the house was wonderful and everything worked very well. So I think it was an isolated situation and I didn't let it influence mew review in general. I recommend the house and would return peacefully. Everything was very well presented, the house is modern, super clean, excellent bathroom, perfect shower, my passengers loved it.

We had a wonderful multi-generational family gathering at Lisa's house. The living room and pool area provided a comfortable gathering place enhanced by the beautiful landscaping and convenient location. Lisa was very helpful and accommodating and even sent photos of the baby crib and highchair in advance to reassure us that our 9 month old grandchild would be comfortable. She helped us plan our day trip to Lisbon, provided a chef, and a wonderful babysitter for our last night dinner out. She was super responsive and friendly and made the whole experience easy. The house is very tastefully furnished and the layout is well designed. Having the heated pool was a special treat. The manual for the house was such a helpful resource with links to recommended sites. We appreciated the effort taken to communicate all the information about the house and area in such an organized way. Thank you Lisa and Peter for a wonderful stay at your lovely Comporta home.

Duarte was a communicative, responsive and helpful host - we really appreciated this as there's only so much you can research online. The location of Casa da Encosta is magical, the fact you can't park outside makes it all the more special with no immediate road noise. The small terraced garden which surrounds the house is totally charming, offering plenty of little places to separate yourself from others should you wish and read a book or enjoy the view. Fixtures and fittings are of a high standard and the renovation executed thoughtfully. The feeling of being inside a jewelled box comes to mind. Yet it feels like someone's home and you feel welcome in it. A thoroughly enjoyable stay in a remarkable region of Portugal. Thank you.

We can highly recommend this accommodation! The house with the pool, great rooms and bathrooms as well as lounges was just wonderful. Everything has been thought of in the furnishings and equipment. We loved everything about this house! The sunset in the nearby lagoon made the stay perfect. Mafalda is a great host and communication was always friendly and extremely helpful. Sintra is a magical destination. So many people make it a day trip from Lisbon and, in so doing, miss out on the heart of this community. We were thrilled that Hugo and Laura provided this opportunity for us to more fully explore this amazing place. Their Casa das Rosas is exactly as described, very compact and usable. It takes a little getting used to the arrangement of floors with bedroom and shower on the top floor and bathroom and kitchen two floors below, but it works. Laura and Hugo are most gracious hosts and we received very clear instruction regarding parking, entry, use of space and departure. The welcome gifts were much appreciated as well. Great shower! Well equipped kitchen. We would recommend this place to anyone who is OK with climbing stairs.

The place was very nice. Very well appointed. The bed was very comfortable. But the thing that stood out the most was the covered balcony on the roof. To sit up there in the evening with a glass of wine was our favourite thing to do while in Palmela. We did find the streets a little noisy especially in the mornings. And found it a little far from Lisbon but worked perfect on our way down to the Algarve. We enjoyed our stay it worked great for us.

Jaques' apartment is just like the photos, everything is new and you don't lack anything... Jaques left some gifts and we saw him at our entrance, apart from the fact that you don't lack anything. She left salt, oil, sugar, basic items that, many times, in other apartments, they leave you nothing! The apartment was super clean, the bed is very comfortable, the location is very quiet... for those of you who want to rest, it's the right apartment. To go to Lisbon, we went by car and parked there, so we can't comment on the ferry or bus that takes you to Lisbon... we liked it a lot, we hope to repeat! :)

We had a fantastic stay at this beautiful home in Arrábida! The view of the sea is absolutely breathtaking. Waking up to the sight of the ocean every day was a dream. The rooms have a sea view and were very comfortable. The kitchen has everything you need and more — all the appliances were top-notch, which made cooking super fun and easy. We especially loved the fireplace in the evenings. Mariana made sure there was plenty of wood, and it made the space feel really cozy. Mariana was friendly and helpful, making sure we had everything we needed throughout our stay. Highly recommend this place!!
