Family-friendly holiday rentals in Qala

Our expectations for Villa Bernadette were extremely high, and those expectations were thoroughly surpassed. Victor was extremely easy to deal with, providing timely and helpful instructions with a useful visit at the start of our trip. The area is quiet, not far from the beach and the views are stunning. As a big group, the privacy and space was excellent. Each room was spotless, with spacious communal areas that provided plenty of options. Especially good were the outside areas and the huge terrace and pool with all day sunshine and sweeping views. Overall - a fantastic stay at a brilliant price. I can't recommend Villa Bernadette enough, so much so that a second trip was discussed before the first ended!

Arnold is a super host. The villa was superbe. We stayed with three couples, and had a relax and very comfortable time at this place. We definitely want to come back!

Twilight is a lovely villa, tucked away along a quiet lane but a quiet and beautiful walk away from two Lighthouse supermarkets. There’s also a lovely restaurant on the church square in San Lawrenz. Having an en suite each was great. Wi-Fi was fast and worked well by the pool. Aircon was excellent. The pool was the best feature of the house… the pool terrace is lovely, gets the sun all day and that view! Also we were always able to find shade… didn’t use the hot tub as it was so hot but a great addition for cooler months. Take bug spray we all got a few bites. We also bought a citronella candle for evenings. Great communication from Kevin, nothing too much trouble.

Great house! Spacious, beautiful, and equipped with everything a family could need. The kids especially enjoyed the pool, swimming every day! The location is fantastic. Just a five-minute drive away, there's a great beach with a restaurant where we had lunch several times. There’s also a pizzeria and a store with all the essentials just a few minutes away. Stephanie was an excellent host. She sent useful information before we arrived and greeted us on arrival. There were one or two minor issues with plumbing that were sorted promptly and in a friendly manner. The place is really lovely especially the pool area. There were six of us but there is ample room for up to ten people . The Bolt taxi service is good but I would say a hire car is almost essential if, like us want to explore a lot of Malta. Mellieha is an excellent hub for water sports and the ferry to Gozo. Overall I think Citrine villa is a beautiful if a little faded gem.

Lewis was amazing, considerate and attentive. Communication was immaculate and super supportive he’s the best Airbnb host I have had, the place was just as amazing as the apartment itself, definitely worth the price and much more.

We were very satisfied with the place! The description of the villa was very accurate and the host always responded quickly to questions! Check-in/check-out also went smoothly.

One of the best and most interesting places we’ve ever stayed! Mind was blown from the moment we walked in and exploring every corner of this huge property. Was the perfect home base to explore all of Malta during our 6 day stay. All amenities came in very good use and absolutely loved the layout. Highly highly recommend for a memorable stay!!

Moritz was super host- super quick to reply. The apartment is in a great location in my favourite place in Malta, super outside space for relaxing and enjoying the views of Spinola Bay You have an amazing choice of superb restaurants right on your doorstep. Fantastic villa with a breathtaking view and the host was extremely welcoming.

Pawlu is a fantastic host. Super friendly and helpful. Great with recommendations and clear and easy advice on how to get from the airport and how to check in. Pawlu's place is a real 'home from home' type of place, we all settled in really well and had a fab stay. We'd highly recommend Pawlu's property to others. Marsakala is also a lovely place to stay, away from the main tourist spots, giving you the opportunity to really enjoy Malta as a local. The bus service is also excellent and we had no trouble travelling to various locations around the island. Thanks for having us.

My partner and I had the best time at Sim's property. It is a beautiful flat, spacious and comfortable. Sim's recommendations were spot on and not like anything we had seen before - his level of detail in the information he sent before check in was unheard of. We are very happy to have stayed at Sim's flat and definitely recommend it!

Thank you for having us! Lucy's place was very cozy, private, in a more quiet part of the city but easy to reach the rest of Valetta and other places we wanted to visit around the islands.

We stayed at Duncan's place for nearly 3 months. Felt very much at home. The location was ideal and very peaceful. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the house and in Gozo. Would thoroughly recommend.

We had a wonderful stay at Fifty-four Zero - the house is really unique and the view from the pool is breathtaking. Anton was proactive before and during our stay and very responsive when we had questions. Recommend hiring a car to get to restaurants and places of interest.

A group of 11 of use stayed here. The property was amazing! Great for a hen party! Stunning views of the beach and the pool was lush! The communal space is very big and great for a large group both inside the property and out. The pool is a lovely temperature. The bedrooms had comfy beds and fitted everyone well. There were cockroaches sighted downstairs the first night, but they were everywhere is Malta so not a fault of the accomidation. We got taxis everywhere with bolt or Uber which were very reasonable. There is a local beach area you can walk down to which is really nice and peaceful!

What an amazing property! Super big with amazing bedrooms, communal spaces and pool area as well as many balconies! The location is amazing - just a short walk to Nadur centre (which has lots of shops and restaurants and is beautiful) and also opposite a bus stop to the beach - we also walked. The home was so clean and the hosts were attentive and welcoming. I’d reccomend to anyone and we already plan to come back! Thanks for an amazing stay :)

A truly fantastic home and an equally fantastic host in Anton! We, a family of 8, made up of children, parents and grandparents, have just had the most amazing stay in Anton’s beautiful home. The house is even better than the photos suggest, a real wow factor as you walk in. It comes nicely furnished with very comfortable beds and furniture, and the house is equipped extremely well with everything you could possibly need. Each room has its own character and charm, then you step outside into pool area and garden and the wow factor continues! We spent a lot of time here, it’s an amazing space and so private. The location in Xaghra is ideal with a few minutes stroll to the village square, a little gem filled with enough varied cafés, bars and small restaurants to keep all tastes satisfied. I must say Al Sale stood out. Then there’s Anton, who greeted and took time to show us around explaining how everything works. He’s the best host I’ve encountered, a friendly, kind and funny gentleman.

Lovely place, the location was very good, perfect little and private pool yard. Isa and Jean Paul was very easy and nice to communicate with. The place is located close to a bustop making it very easy to get around Malta

Pauline and Mario were very helpful on our stay. The house had everything that was needed and was ideally located in the middle of the island. Check in was easy and Pauline helped arrange both the transfers and hire cars. Would definitely return in the future!

We had a lovely stay at Janina and Simon's place. The apartment is superb, very well equipped. The environment is quiet and the area is really nice. Janina and Simon are very responsive and messages are always very friendly. We are delighted with our stay. We would recommend it without hesitation.

Beautiful place to stay! we are so grateful with hot indoor pool because it was windy & cold days when we stayed here so unable to enjoy the outdoor pool with the breahtaking view of surrounding Gozo. kids love the Cinema! highly recommended it
