Kid-friendly holiday rentals in Putnam County

Great place to stay for a relaxing weekend in the Hudson valley. Was extremely close to plenty of restaurants and things to see. I would definitely stay here again if I was coming back to the area.

Spotlessly clean, well-equipped and conveniently located. Walkable to everything in town and a couple blocks from a free bus that takes you to the trailhead or the train station / ferry dock. Layout is funky with the bathroom on the first floor and the bedrooms upstairs, but no big deal. The host gave great instructions on how to operate the quirky front door lock and left helpful signs around the house. Air conditioning from the 2 minisplits (one upstairs and one downstairs) was super effective (the window unit ACs shown in the photos are no longer in place). The house is right up against a street that cars speed down, but with the bedrooms in the rear it's barely noticeable. Huge yard and sitting area that I didn't make enough use of. Be aware there is a short list of chores at check-out (typical stuff like stripping beds, taking out garbage and starting the dishwasher). Would not hesitate to stay here again!

Mahmoud was a wonderful host. Very responsive, pleasant, and helpful. His home and the views were spectacular, and the koi pond was beautiful. It’s a great location to stay while visiting West Point, as it’s a quick drive across the Bear Mountain Bridge. Our large group felt comfortable and welcomed. One of the bedroom descriptions could have been listed a little clearer because you need to pass through the master bedroom to get to it. Luckily our family was ok with that. We would stay again.

My family of 8 adults needed a place to stay near a wedding at Glynwood. This wonderful spot was minutes away from the farm and town. The number of bedrooms and bathrooms gave everyone the privacy desired while the well equipped kitchen and living rooms had plenty of space for gathering. The house and land are beautiful, including the trail. Paula was easy to communicate with and my whole family felt comfortable and happy with the spot. Highly recommend!

This was by far one of the most wonderful Airbnb experiences we’ve ever had. We, along with our guests, were impressed by all the thoughtful decor touches in the in the home, the clean space, and the stocked pantry. Plenty of cookware, coffee, tea, etc. if you want to cook in the home. Otherwise it’s just a three minute walk from Main Street and all the wonderful eateries Beacon has to offer. Tatiana was very responsive and welcoming!

After using Airbnb for years now no other place was a perfect 10. The lake house was simply great. Not only the physical status but the follow up and generosity of the hosts where beyond. We didn’t want to leave.

Rosemary was very nice, and the space was clean and had a lovely view. It's hard to tell from photos, but it's a large, bright studio apartment, with center stairs going up to the guest-dedicated full bath, which is directly off the host's kitchen. The bedroom area is not separate from the rest of the living space, however, if you were hoping for a dedicated bedroom.

This place has everything we were looking for - pool, hot tub, and a yard for our dogs. This is the second time we stayed here, and it was perfect once again!

It's the perfect get away, large, clean and warm atmosphere, makes you feel like home.

We visited Erin’s place for an overnight stay with our toddler and had a wonderful experience! The space was so cozy and had everything we needed – Erin even left us coffee (& cream!) and set up a travel crib for our daughter before we arrived. The home is tucked away on a quiet side street but is seconds away from all the great shops & dining Main Street has to offer, so you get the best of both worlds. Erin was super friendly and communicative throughout the whole process and made check-in a breeze. We would happily stay here again next time we’re in Beacon!

Andrea is a super warm and responsive host. The apartment is beautiful and quiet but also very close to Main Street and everywhere you want to walk to in Beacon. Highly recommend!

Lovely stay in the peaceful town of Cold Spring. Location is great. Apartment was a bit cold, but that’s to be expected and the provided space heaters worked well. Will definitely stay again when in the area!

The list of rules on the place before visiting felt overwhelming and chances of remembering all was almost 0 but having the notes on the doors, floors and the handbook made it easy and made more sense. Had a great time no hiccups at all.

Will was pleasant, easy to reach for quick fixes and very communicative! He answered any questions we had and was incredibly helpful with locating the apartment as the map location was a little off. The apartment was beautiful, well decorated and clean! We stayed for 16 days and had little to no issues. I am confident anyone else would find this place to be worth the price!

We didn't realize when it said 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom it was actually 2 apartments side by side. It made it very nice to have a little bit of extra space since we went with family. If it was a single family with children it might be a little more difficult. We enjoyed having one apartment and my mother-in-law and sister-in-law had their own. The host was very easy to contact and messaged back right away. We had one small issue and it was fixed immediately. We really enjoyed our stay.
