If you come from the North, make sure to stop in for a take out supper at Off-The-Hook Seafood place at the Dunkirk Pier before the last 5 miles to Wisteria Cottage.

we had a wonderful time, the place was amazing, so roomie and comfortably, so much to offer at the house, then a couple minute walk to the beach, the littles had a blast, can't wait to go again

The home is so beautiful, I took pictures because I really want to build a home and it’s what I’m going to base it off of!!! Kathlene was so helpful. Anything we needed she was right on it.!! we will plan on coming again in the future! You will not be disappointed in this location or the home itself!!

The house was beautiful and very clean. it was a very short distance to the beach and great restaurants which is what we were looking for.

The host was very responsive. We accidently locked ourselves out and he was quick to come help us out. The place was peaceful and we had a nice time.

Absolutely loved our stay at this Airbnb! From the moment we arrived, the host made us feel incredibly welcome. The space was impeccably clean, beautifully decorated, and had all the amenities we needed for a comfortable stay. The location was perfect—close to the water. We especially enjoyed our morning walks around the area and looking at all the homes and our dog especially loved running on the small beach area. Beach is Dog friendly till 10am and after 5pm. Every detail was taken care of, making our stay truly memorable. Highly recommend this place for anyone looking for a wonderful getaway! WOW! That’s what we said when we opened the front door. The view of the lake was awesome and Barbara’s house was perfect for the 4 of us celebrating our 70th birthdays. We have stayed in many Airbnb’s before but this house had every amenity you could ask for. It is tastefully decorated and well stocked including paper products, shampoos, spices, etc. The beds were very comfortable and the view of the morning sunrise from the master bedroom was absolutely breathtaking! We visited the National Comedy Museum in Jamestown and walked the beautiful grounds of the Chautauqua Institute ! Barbara was the perfect hostess and even offered to mail the clothes we left in the dryer back to us. As one ages, we tend to remember the “moments” and forget the “things”🥴. Thank you, Barbara, for transforming your shack into a spectacular cottage and sharing it with us.

This place was everything we had hoped it would be , it was so clean and beautiful. We made alot of beautiful memories that we will treasure for a lifetime. The host was very responsive and helpful.. I would come back again and I will be telling everyone about this place

This was a fabulous choice for a weekend wine getaway with girlfriends! The description of the place was spot on! I have been coming to the area for 15 years and always wanted to stay at this place because it looks so unique from the outside. It did not disappoint, and the hostess was spectacular in term of communication. We will be back!

The cottage is in a perfect location for family to enjoy all the activities at Edinboro lake over the 4th July. Loved the smokeless fire pit. Great front porch to gather on. Would recommend this as a great family vacation destination.

We were 15 people gathered for two nights for our wedding Bachelorette and Bachelor party. We had so much fun, great lake atmosphere, quiet, a lot of birds and animals around. Highly recommend for any events.

We had a wonderful stay at this beautiful lakefront home! The views of Lake Erie were absolutely stunning—sunsets from the porch were a highlight of our trip. The house was spotless, thoughtfully furnished, and had everything we needed for a relaxing getaway. There was plenty of space for our group of six adults and one child, and we especially appreciated the cozy common areas where we could all gather. Janelle was a responsive and gracious host, making check-in and communication seamless. We would absolutely love to return—this home is a true gem in Erie!

We had an amazing stay for the weekend. This was the most accommodating Airbnb we’ve ever stayed at. Everything we needed was available. Rebecca personalized our stay for a soccer weekend and it was so thoughtful. It was a short walk to the lake and the private lake front was so peaceful. The cottage had a lot of space and was very clean. The amenities available at the cottage were great. We wish our stay could have been longer. If we are ever back in the area we would 100% choose to stay at the Little Shovel again. Thank you for a great weekend!

This was our 2nd stay with Brian, we liked it so much. A couple retired hippies who love to fish. There's a great dock and places for your boat, but we chose sitting in the Adirondack chairs at the end of the dock, casting in the sun with a cold brew. Caught bluegill, perch & one bass from those chairs. Tossed em back but we could have shared a nice meal. Saw a muskie ascend (maybe...it was huge!). We saw Eagles, mockingbirds The cottage is well kept, perfectly appointed and original. Actual 2x4 beams, heavy pine doors. Great new flooring, cozy and perfect for 2 with fine linens on the bed and spotless. I love Chautauqua Lake. I needed to get away from the news real life and I thanked my bf profusely for bringing me. Brian's place faces full east and starting your day with this sunrise 🌅 is pure magic. We will be back!

The photos of this beautiful cottage are 100% accurate...except for the sunset. The sunsets are even better in person!! The cottage is very new and clean, and was a wonderful place to rest in the evening. It was a little cooler during our visit, so we enjoyed watching the sun come down over the lake and then relax in front of the living room fireplace. While there are a few other cottages nearby, it still felt very secluded and peaceful. We definitely recommend the cottage and would absolutely stay again the next time we visit Erie.

This place was just perfect! Super clean, comfy and updated. The location was great with easy access to local activities. The host was great and we enjoyed the check-in treats. We especially appreciated the amenities- the kitchen was fully stocked and there were plenty of towels, pillows and blankets.
