Better than what we thought! Is a great place to have a relaxing weekend.

We arrived and in felt like home. My daughter's loved the special cake that Marta left for us upon arrival. The house is well equipped with everything you need and more. The bathtub was a favorite, and the balcony was a wonderful place to relax and people watch. The beach is only steps away, along with places to grab a snack. We used the bikes for a fun ride and my daughter loved the game room area to read and do crafts. Something for everyone in a picture perfect location. The entire home was impeccable. Thank you Marta for your warm hospitality and attention to detail.

Spacious, comfortable house with beautiful outdoor space, very pleasant shaded terrace. Good location for visiting Porto and the Douro Valley. "Méandro" restaurant next door, cheap, excellent with splendid views of the Douro. Graça and her husband are welcoming and responsive. The only downside is the presence of barking dogs++ (kennel?). Graça has nothing to do with it, but noise nuisance to report.

We had a great time with the family at Joao's home. Joao is a very friendly and attentive host. We all really enjoyed the lush garden with its lemon trees and orange trees, while being flowered in every nook and cranny. We all felt a real disconnection when staying at Joao's place. The bedding is excellent and the house has a soul with its decoration and childhood smells. A beautiful beach is 8 min from the house by car and all amenities are 5 mins away. Finally, as you can see, a family stay that we will have a great memory of.

David was very welcoming and helpful! Very clean place that has everything you need. It was super comfortable and we had a lot of space.

the accommodation is very well furnished, everything is well thought out, Netflix, bread in the morning, kitchen essentials, and jacuzzi very appreciated after a day of hiking. Beautiful pool with deckchairs for relaxing. i would go back again

Eduardo’s place was the same as described. The pool and deck has been upgraded and it was very beautiful to swim and lounge around the Infiniti pool enjoying the amazing view of the community and hills/valley. The workmanship on this house is amazing - the community felt safe and people were very friendly. Would recommend

Paulo's place is probably the best location in the city. Close and easy access to the main places of note, even with the short climbs up from the main street. It's out of the way enough to feel quiet without being too removed. Lots of space, with high ceilings and big rooms. The best part overall is the terrace with it's stellar views over the city. We spent nearly every moment we were in the house out there, even when it was raining. It's covered, so it felt quite peaceful and protected. Highly recommend.

This place met our every expectation! From plenty of towels to an amazing (powerful) hairdryer! Large bedrooms. Spacious areas throughout! The pool was amazing. They even have a Lilly pond for frogs!! The place was quiet and peaceful! The house itself had an area for kids, and an area to cook/grill and eat outside and even a hammock!! No other homes are around you and it feels like your own! I also want to mention the mattresses. I am a stickler for mattresses and this place had two very nice thick ones (rare in air bnbs). I want to come back again just to stay here lol. Highly recommend!!

We spent a wonderful weekend in this house with friends and family. The house is very beautiful, clean, well-equipped and very cozy. All rooms were prepared with great affection and attention to detail. The outdoor area was the high point: perfect for gathering everyone, relaxing and enjoying good moments having barbecue and having fun in the pool. Mrs. Adelaide was extremely attentive and helpful ensured that everything was perfect for our stay. We definitely recommend!

We had a great stay in extremely comfortable surroundings. Clean, spacious, well equipped. Fabulous swimming pool! Exiting the property a bit hazardous by car. The property is on a very busy main road and is a lorry route, you need two people to exit, one in the street as traffic flies by! A mirror situated so that you can see what is coming would be extremely helpful. The road is noisy but did not penetrate the house too much. Most shops, restaurants, etc are a short drive away. There is nowhere close enough on foot. Beds are comfortable but bed linen and towels are a little old and tired, they could do with replacing. Contacting the host during the week was problematical. Phone rings 3 times then changes to engaged tone. On one occasion all the electricity cut out, fortunately we were able to find the trip switches. We were aware that in an emergency we could not make immediate contact, a bit worrying. A minor point but as a party of 7, two sets of keys would have been helpful.

Beautiful location, right next to the river and the mill. Bruno was a communicative and helpful host. It's very small, as it says in the description, but for 2 nights was ok.

The view is amazing and the place is very peaceful. Bring some supplies with you as the nearest supermarket is 15m away (by car) and enjoy the nature. Everything was as announced, clean and with everything needed to cook.

This beautifully updated traditional stone house exceeded our expectations in pretty much every way! It is quaint but with everything we needed for our 3-night stay, including good heat (which we used due to the chilly weather). We gave all 5s except one 4 because the house is right next to the road. The 18" thick walls in the house keep the noise to a minimum and the road is not busy at all, so no big deal. The host prepared a super-helpful booklet of nearby sights and restaurants that we referred to regularly (in both Portuguese and English). We can't recommend this place highly enough!

Really great place to stay at, the people there are really welcoming :)

If I had to find a downside to this stay, it would be the mosquitoes. The rest was all great. The host was super friendly, attentive and recommended many places. The house, in addition to being beautiful and very clean, was also full of things at our disposal. We have been to many accommodations and several different countries, and we have never seen anything as complete and welcoming as this place. I recommend it 100%, the price is a bit expensive but when we arrived I understood that it was totally worth it. our dog also liked it a lot :)

Absolutely lovely! The apartment, patio, pool, and gardens felt like a little slice of paradise. The housekeeper, Rosie, went above and beyond to make us feel at home. She brought out toys for our daughter and invited us to have fruits from the garden. Thank you, Rosie!

Everything was perfect even the small details. We felt like we were in a 5 star hotel. The inside and outside of the property were really well maintained and the swimming pool was an added bonus in a hot sun weather’sday! Thank you Joao for your hospitality and for being so helpful and friendly. We hope to visit again next year and definitely recommend 100%

We had a great stay with our 2 children aged 7 and 10. Luís’s place was very clean, pool and outside space even better than the photos. Location is great as it’s the last plot so not overlooked and lots of greenery around. New bikes were a nice touch as well - kids enjoyed cycling to the supermarket to get food. We spent a day by the pool, drove to the beach to surf and spent an afternoon / evening in Aveiro which was lovely. Luís was responsive and a great host.

Great place to stay. Plenty of space and perfectly maintained. Even more beautiful than in the photos. Sergio was a very good host and keeps everything super well together with his brother. It was great for our 4-year-old daughter. Nice playground. I'd go back in a minute.

It was an amazing stay. We stayed in this house because of its proximity to the Agroquinta de São Gens (we had an event there), and it is literally on the edge. The house is close to the center of Ourém. Very quiet place, with an incredible view. The pool is a great way to cool off. I recommend it.
