Pet-friendly holiday rentals in Porter County

We came to visit Indiana Dunes NP with two little kids and three adults. The house was a great fit for us. The kitchen had everything we needed for cooking meals. The house is in a great location for accessing the park and there are trails just down the road. Lori was very responsive.

Tiffany and John were great host! The house perfectly matched the description and was the perfect spot for a short weekend trip. The house was very homey and had everything you could need. The big yard was a huge plus as we had our dog with us! Tiffany and John were very responsive and very accommodating throughout our stay especially when we had to add another person to our reservation half way through our stay. I would definitely recommend staying here as it definitely feels like a second home!

We had a wonderful time at the Porter house! It was as-expected and it had everything we needed. Proximity to the beach was amazing and the backyard forest was so magical. It felt very secluded but still close to everything. Would recommend.

Probably the best place we've stayed. Clean, organized, and exactly as described. The attention to small details makes you feel at home. Will book again if we go back!

This home is a lot bigger than it looks. The beds are comfy, the deck is very nice, fire pit was handy and the separate finished basement was a plus. Thank you for hosting us! I will come back if needed!

Donald’s place was great. Nice setting, peaceful and great amenities. Prompt communication to answer questions and very accommodating. Would recommend this place to relax and enjoy nature.

Very nice little cabin, quiet & peaceful I enjoyed my stay. The water does smell like sulfur so anyone who is sensitive to smells might need to be aware.

We absolutely love staying here, it is our go to staycation home. Lisa is always available if we need anything. This was our second stay and we plan to come yearly. Our kiddos love the pool and love how close stores and Dairy Queen of course are in walking distance :)

Basilio escorted us right to the lot and gave us the information we needed. The space was a perfect stay for two adults and three preteens. We enjoyed the fire pit and provided wood, which was a nice amenity. They also provided ample lawn furniture, so we didn’t even need to get our bag chairs out of the car. The camper was clean and put together, everything matched the description - however I would plan to bring more cooking basics (think, pots/pans, baking sheets) if you plan to cook inside. We utilized the microwave which also works as an air fryer, and the fire pit to cook, so it did not affect the quality of our stay. There were extra blankets & pillows, and towels provided. Along with trash bags & toilet paper. Campground is peaceful and quiet, and there are restaurants/grocery stores within 10-15 minute drive. The location near to the Indiana National Dunes was convenient, as well. Overall, I would recommend a stay here to any family looking for a laid back vacation.

The location was so peaceful and close to everything (10 mins from the dunes). The house was comfy and had everything you could possibly need. Melissa thought of everything! The pool.. OMG the best! The heater made the water PERFECT! Made it even more special that we could bring our dogs. The fully fenced yard was perfect. Will definitely be coming back.

A perfect place to make our home away from home while attending a family wedding. So much easier than staying in a hotel with a multi-family trip involving small children. We were able to meet everyone's needs and were near to grocery, resteraurants, parks entertainment and family. Thank you Kyle for being an excellent host to our family!

Andrew's communication was so timely, and he was incredibly proactive and kind. If I had any questions or confusion he answered very respectfully and had a solution-focused mentality. Of course, as a dog lover, I loved all the dog decor! I took my dogs out in both the front and back yards, and they loved smelling around. There was a thermostat that was easy to use, and the appliances that we used (coffee pot, microwave, stovetop, dishwasher) all worked as well. The house was super clean. Light blocking curtains in the bedrooms made toddler daytime naps easier! The neighbor across the street was nice & has a cute GS in a fenced yard. :) Neighborhood felt really safe & private, with kids playing and people on walks. Location is amazing for visiting the National & State Parks, only 5-7 min to drive to the Visitor Center.

We had a very pleasant stay! The home is just a few short blocks from the Wells Street Beach near the Indiana Dunes National Park. The home was modern and clean, with plenty of amenities. Our host was very responsive and helpful. The location is also just a few miles from the Portage South Shore rail station, allowing for an easy trip into Chicago. If you're looking for a relaxing stay near the Indiana Dunes, don't hesitate to stay here!

Nice studio and quiet town. There is a great library and the people who work there are very helpful. Valparaiso is 15 minutes away, and lots to do there. You cannot go wrong with Tom and Becky!

We had an awesome last minute stay with Robert. His family and dogs were extremely friendly. We utilized the pond and fishing poles and had a blast, Mike the dog is an avid fisher pup and came to sit with us while we fished. It’s a very quiet and peaceful area. We forgot a few things and Robert was more than happy to assist us and was extremely quick with responses and communication. We would love to come back and stay again. I highly highly recommend this spot. It looks just like the photos and the fire pit was a relaxing way to calm down at the end of the night. Thanks Robert! :-)

I have stayed at several Airbnb’s in Valparaiso and this location was great! I didn’t need to use my car as everything was close and accessible. The home itself was comfortable and well appointed. Will be staying again!

Absolutely magical place. Truly isolated in the midst of a small meadow (no close neighbors), the cabin is also excellently appointed with everything you could possibly need, high quality kitchen and bathroom fittings, and lots of little quirky touches. Full length windows surround the living space, with stunning views that I could gaze at all day. Ryan was friendly, helpful and quick to respond. Can’t think of a single thing that needed improvement. We had a fabulous time and are already dreaming of the next time we can come back!

Anna’s place was just what we needed for our weekend in Portage. Spacious and clean - a great find! Anna was also very responsive and proactive about communication. Would highly recommend this as a place to stay!
