From the window of the upper floor of the renovated barn, which is located next to our farm, you have a view of the Cabauwse mill, and if you are lucky the stork will be brooding across the street. This beautiful cottage used to be a 100-year-old wagon barn, of which old beams have remained in sight as much as possible. The cottage is in the yard of our 400-year-old monumental stool farmhouse, where we live with our sheep, chickens and dog. The cottage features a private outdoor seating area. Opposite the farm are the floodplains of the river Lek with the many nice little beaches. And a stone's throw away is the cozy silver town of Schoonhoven.

We had a wonderful stay. The accommodation was clean and tidy and had everything we needed for a short stay. The views and the local area are simply stunning, and it was fun waking up to see the dairy cows each morning. Hosts were very fast at responding to queries and gave us loads of local information whilst we were there. We used as a base to visit the tulip fields as well as Gouda. Thanks for a great stay, would stay again if visiting the local area.

Lovely place to stay! Check-in went smoothly and it was nice that I could arrive later in the evening. Everything was well taken care of. The place itself was sparkling clean and radiated tranquility — exactly as in the pictures. You'll notice that everything has been thought of with care. The host was very friendly and helpful which made it extra nice. Truly a place where you feel right at ease. Delightful waterfront with stunning harbour views and historic buildings! Highly recommend!
