Holiday rentals in Pollara

At the risk of replicating so many of the other wonderful reviews I must unequivocally say that Beatrice’s home was absolutely stellar. Every single aspect was superb: the design, location, conveniences/equipment/furnishings were all incomparable! BUT most importantly the care, attention, and genuine and authentic hospitality were the most remarkable. Beatrice and her mother could not have made us feel more like family and not simply renter-guests. We are only one day removed from the tender sea breeze embrace of Salina and already feeling the pull to return. I cannot imagine an Aeolian stay anywhere else as glorious as Appartmento Maria Teritza. If AirBnB gave lifetime achievement awards to hosts, Beatrice and her family should be at the very, very top of the list. So many heartfelt thanks from myself, Kirsten, and of course Dinky!

Lovely stay! We were two families of 4 and had a great time at l’Agave. The house is beautiful, great decor and comfortable with an amazing view from the roof terrace. Great location too just a short walk from the centre of Malfa, nice restaurants and to the beach. The hosts were always very responsive and helpful whenever we had questions. Two small minuses: the dishwasher was broken when we arrived and never fixed (they did try but the technician said a new dishwasher was needed), generally the appliances could do with a refresh. While the location is great, the beach is a steep walk down and made up of big stones which makes it unsuitable for very young children. Other beaches are easily accessible by car or bus (in summer) though.

This is a special place on a special island. We visited Salina, Vulcano and Filicudi during our stay, but Alicudi has a charm of its own. Rebecca met us at the port and we found the village shop had all we needed. The mule carried up our luggage, and we challenged ourselves on the famous stairs. They are tough, but the views are wonderful and you get to see village life as you pass each house on the way up. Our house had incredible views, and we loved the choice of shade or sun on the terraces. It was tranquil and private. The house was very well equipped and we cooked most evenings. We bough fish from Ugo at the port which was delicious, and enjoyed lemon granita at the cafe to help us up the hill. We also did some challenging hikes to watch the sunset, and reach the highest point on the island. It felt like we were in a faraway corner of the world - in the best way! We spent eleven nights in early July at Ornella's place. The place is well maintained and stylish with the island. The sea view terrace made our stay more pleasant. Ornella also provided us with several things in the house that were useful to us (e.g. containers for lunch on the beach). Check-in was easy, although Ornella couldn't be at home she made us welcome by a friend who was very kind and helpful. Recommended!

We had the most incredible 3-day stay at Kasimir’s Airbnb in Alicudi! It's a truly magical and remote place, deeply connected to nature and its surroundings. The house was even more beautiful in person than in the photos - thoughtfully designed with simple, authentic, and aesthetically stunning furniture. The walk to the sea is a good hike, so we spent most of our time enjoying at the house. It was the perfect escape. We’d come back every year if we could! All in all, a 10/10 experience. Kasimir was super responsive and extremely helpful in coordinating our ferry arrival and all the logistics. Thank you so much, Kasimir!

Mrs. Antonella was very kind, it perfectly respects the pictures. It is very nice and super clean, we will definitely be back because we had a great time!!

Mr. Stefano was immediately very helpful and gave us excellent advice on how to best experience the island. He has been of great help to us on several occasions. As for the accommodation, it has everything you need to fully enjoy your stay and even more! We found it very clean and to our liking, to date certainly one of the best we have stayed in. The icing on the cake was waking up with that view of the Aeolian Islands: priceless!

Marco welcomed us in a very friendly way, although we arrived much too early. He explained a lot, answered all questions and was always available during our stay. The house is a dream, we felt comfortable and cooked every evening - the kitchen is very well equipped and the food was delicious. The terrace promises wonderful afternoons for fun and beautiful evenings together. View of the spitting Stromboli included. The hidden path leads to the center in 5 minutes. It's 20 minutes to the beach - a nice walk. Of course it goes up on the way back, it's Salina and not Holland. Just enjoy the moment. And if necessary, a quick cooling under the great outdoor shower ;-) Thank you Marco for your kindness and for your house!
