Waterfront holiday rentals in Pointe aux Canonniers

This is our first time we visited Mauritius and we are not really sure how the place is but since we landed, Erika is super quick to response and very helpful. She gave all the necessary information related to room, keys and parking. When we entered the flat, it’s was near and clean, and was exactly same as described in Airbnb. Throughout my 4 day stay, it’s was confortable and Erika always responded well whenever i asked anything to her. Apartment was very close to grand baie beach and all also close to supermarket. I fully recommend this apartment. Thank you Erika for this amazingly and comfortable experience.

We have been visiting Mauritius since 2000 and have always loved spending our holidays on the island. Over the years, we've stayed in a variety of accommodations, including 3-, 4-, and 5-star hotels, as well as private villas. This year was particularly special, as our kids, now young adults, thoroughly enjoyed all the activities—from boat trips and beaches to dining at restaurants and celebrating New Year’s Eve with the spectacular fireworks displays. We highly recommend this accommodation for its central location and the added bonus of a large pool. The host went above and beyond, even arranging car rentals and setting up a braai for us South Africans to enjoy. After years of searching for the perfect spot, we’ve found it and will continue to book this unit for years to come. Thank you for an unforgettable stay

The apartment is fantastic, it was at a great location. We visited several beaches but the one around the place is one of the most beautiful ones. The apartment is well equipped, we really felt like being at home. We got absolutely clear instructions in a timely manner. We had a really super stay here in Mauritius.

Absolutely loved staying at Antonio's apartment! The view of the ocean from the balcony is spectacular. The apartment is new and kept exceptionally clean. Loved cooking in the kitchen which was well stocked in utensils for all our cooking needs - this is a rare find as most self catering accommodation lacks all cooking essentials. The quality of kitchen utensils was exceptional for a holiday stay, which I personally enjoyed. Antonio is fast to respond to any questions. Also loved the local hospitality of Isabelle and Yanick. This apartment was definitely a home away from home in its comfortably!

The place is top... Geraldine helpful and provided us with all the information...Thank you... Unfortunately, the neighbor doesn't like children ( 2nd floor right) approached our children every day in French ..loud...aggressive and totally unfriendly With children who like to play by the pool and are also louder... that's not the right thing... since the neighbors all want to have their peace and quiet every day... too bad... too bad... since we really liked it at Geraldine's place...

we had an amazing time at Vincent's villa. location A+ and host A++, walking distance to shops and beach, quiet and peaceful. Vincent even helped me carry out luggage up and down the stairs. would love to return soon!

We had a wonderful stay at Florence's. it was beautiful and peaceful, and right by the beach. What a gem!

We were initially anxious as this was our first Airbnb, but staying here turned out to be the best decision. The villa felt like a true home away from home — clean, safe, and thoughtfully prepared. Laetitia and her family were warm, prompt, and welcoming. We were greeted with fresh fruits (our son loved them!) and they also hosted us for weekend drinks and conversation, which made our stay feel personal and memorable. The kitchen was so well equipped, we could cook daily meals easily, and thoughtful extras like food wrapping sheets helped us pack snacks for day trips. The villa had multiple layers of security, which gave us peace of mind as parents. It’s also very child-friendly, with plenty of toys and space. The location is great — peaceful, yet close to beaches and attractions like Grand Gaube, where we saw one of the most stunning sunrises. Thank you, Laetitia, for your kindness and hospitality. You made our first Airbnb stay truly special. We hope to host you in India someday!

The location is stunning and the accommodation extremely functional as well as comfortable so we spent much of our stay at the house and were able to relax totally. The place is within easy reach of restaurants, shops, beaches and other necessary amenities although it would have been limited without a hire car. Mathilde was great throughout, always there if we needed anything, extremely helpful but not at all intrusive. We had a late arrival and she facilitated a meal at the house and essential supplies for us which made the start of our holiday much easier than it could have been.

Jollys Rock’s pavillion is one of a kind! We stayed there for three nights (4 days) and the peace that we had the chance to appreciate is just one of a kind! The place is clean and free from any disturbance from the outside world. Safe place for kids and family if you need a break; we mean a true break from the everyday life, this is the place to be. Strongly recommended and we will surely be back again!

We had a glorious stay in Naila’s beautiful bungalow. The most striking thing about this property is, of course, the stunning view - it’s right on the beach as shown in the pictures. It’s also on an ideal position on the beach - towards the end - nice and peaceful without the throngs of people and hive of activity that the beach attracts in the busier periods, yet close enough to it if you want to take in some water sports or hangout at the bars and restaurants. I cherished my mornings sitting at the edge of the garden watching the waves and sipping my coffee. The bungalow was very clean, the fixtures etc seemed quite new, and everything was tastefully finished. Air-conditioning etc worked well. There are shops and a nice pizza place nearby. Highly recommend.

We had a wonderful time here. Julien’s communication was perfect, he couldn’t have been more helpful with information about the house and any questions we had whilst we were there. The beach by the house was lovely for walking and watching the sunset then we used the house as a base to visit the beaches further up the coast which were only about 25mins drive. Recommended 👍

We had an amazing stay at Jean’s villa in Mauritius! The house is stunning – modern, spacious, and incredibly welcoming, offering everything needed for a truly relaxing vacation. Jean was a fantastic host, always attentive and ready to assist with anything we needed. Very nice, well-equipped villa with a prime location and beautiful views of the bay. We had a lovely stay, the staff are very smiling and helpful. I recommend it without hesitating!! PS: be careful when leaving the residence with the car, the visibility is not great.

Great location. We loved the privacy of the place, with the beach in front of the garden. The area is not touristic, which we liked (we had a rental car). Geraldine is a nice host, we had good contact.

An outstanding place and host, with every comfort, to make your self catered vacation seamless. Kayak, swim, snorkel, make your own meals, etc. Recommended indeed.

it was a fantastic stay of 5 days with family... Jenny and Vincent were very responsive and helpful... the only thing I would mention, being an Indian, we were feeling need of a foster or jet spray in the WC... :-)

The apartment was really clean and very big, with 2 bedrooms, one big livingroom, fully equipped kitchen, bathroom, and a nice terrace. Rizwaan welcomed us, and he was very helpful and friendly, he explained everything we needed to know about the surroundings. The location was AMAZING, just between Trou aux Biches (5 minutes walk) and Mont Choisy. Both beaches are very beautiful. You can park your car inside the courtyard which is helpful. The Wi-Fi is fast, the kitchen big and fully equipped, and everything was perfect! Rizwaan is a really great host!

We spent a few days in this home with my wife and two kids. The place met our expectations: it was very clean and in a good location, we could go to the beach on foot and paddles were available. There is a supermarket 2 minutes away by car and it is a good location to radiate on the northern half of the island. We were very nice by Marianne, the partner of Hervé Emmanuel who gave us lots of ideas for activities to do also with the children.

A fantastic place for a great holiday. Immaculate, extremely well equipped, stunning decoration, extremely tasteful furniture & fittings, everything you need and more. I can personally recommend Romain’s place to anyone. This was our fourth visit to Mauritius , and was the best ever. We will definitely be back in the future. Romain went out of his way to arrange my wife’s 60th birthday celebrations. On our arrival we were surprised with Champagne , and he even arranged a birthday cake the night of the celebration. We stayed at this apartment for nearly four weeks and had a wonderful experience. The space was clean, well-equipped, and exactly as described. It felt like a home away from home, with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The neighborhood was peaceful and conveniently located, with shops and cafes within easy reach. Would absolutely recommend for both short and long stays.

We’re a family of five and have kids between 2yrs and 7 yrs. It was the perfect place to stay at, Sarah and Rebecca were very friendly and helpful. We can 100% recommend this Airbnb if you’re looking for a peaceful and quiet place to stay. It’s very modern and has all the things you need. We recommend getting a rental car during the stay here. I’d love to come back if we’re ever planning on staying in grand baie again!
