Relax in this 2-story house away from the hustle and bustle and 40 meters from the national park. 5 minutes from the center and the beach. On the 1st floor is the kitchen and a spectacular open room with armchair and hammock for a relaxing reading or massage. On the 2nd is the room with a fabulous balcony where you will see the spider monkeys and other animals like exotic birds. It sleeps great with the sounds of the jungle. We are neighbors of Casa Jaguar, you can read the good reviews of the place.

Julio, the owner, is a flawless person. She was in charge of organizing everything since our arrival at the port of la Pavona. When we arrived in Tortuguero, she was already waiting for us and she accompanied us to the room. Everything was very clean and the beds were very good. We took 2 excursions with it and were excellent. Night and canoe tour. Julio knows a lot. We were 3 veterinarians and we still learned a lot from him. 100% recommended. We repeat for sure.

Relax Between San Jose, Tortuguerro, And Limon

If you are expecting a 5 star hotel do not go here. If you are expecting an experience, amazing food, no AC, cold showers, no iron or hair dryer and an amazing rural farm experience that you will never forget then this is the place to go. Extremely good, honest, hard working people. They feed you almost everything they grow or raise and give you the same food they eat or feed their kids. Mary Luz is an amazing person and a great cook. Plenty of other options available in the area to get a farm experience but if you also want a foodie experience then this place is it. As everyone has said rough roads but we had a good suv and got there in 20 minutes after we turned off highway 32. For some people it may take 45 minutes. Expect to get woken up with birds and roosters making a racket around 5:30 am.

100% Recommended! A simple but very cozy little house, better than what you see in the photos. With lovely decor and all impeccably clean. It has a fully equipped kitchen, living room, two bedrooms and a spacious bathroom, offering everything you need for a comfortable stay. The best is the natural environment, large green area around ideal to relax and enjoy the tranquility. Just 5 minutes away is the village, with several shops, and 15 minutes away you can visit beautiful pozas on the San Jose River. In addition, its location is excellent, as it is less than an hour and a half from San Jose, with very easy access. The host was very nice and always responded quickly, which is key to a good experience. All in all, a perfect option to connect with nature without going too far from comfort.
