Apartment holiday rentals in Playacar Beach

The apartment was clean, beautiful and exactly as pictured. We especially loved the large balcony, which offered a view of the pool, but was also very private. We enjoyed the restaurants across the street and felt very safe. We were travelling with two young kids and the two bedroom set-up worked well for us. I will say the second bedroom doesn’t have a ton of privacy (slatted door with no noise barrier), so while it was perfect for our toddler, I could see that it might be challenging for adults. Many reviews say the apartment is close to the beach and 5th avenue. At the time that we were there the “shuttle” to those places was out of service, so it was a ~25 min walk minimum. This wasn’t ideal to do everyday with two toddlers so I wish we would have known that in advance. Also, the “pool bar/restaurant” was never open during our stay - I did ask the host about it but didn’t end up getting an answer. Again, just some inconveniences that you would hope to avoid traveling with kids.

Great place right near the entrance to Playacar Phase 1. The main living area and kitchen space felt very roomy and spacious. A great place to spend time as a family. There are two very large balconies (pool view and street view) that make for a perfect place to relax. It's a small condo complex so we always had the pool to ourselves. Easy access to shopping, restaurants, and the Cozumel ferry. You need to pass by security each time you come and go from security, so it feels very safe but is slightly annoying.

Un lugar muy bonito, limpio, tranquilo, seguro, cómodo aunque un poco lejos del estacionamiento indicado por el anfitrión (4 min caminando). Las indicaciones fueron muy claras, el acceso fue muy sencillo. Hay un cuarto de huéspedes a un lado pero no se escucha ruido y los cuartos son completamente independientes. El personal de vigilancia fue muy amable y atento. La alberca muy amplia y cómoda, con agua tibia y baños y regadera. Un lugar al que nos gustaría volver

We enjoyed our stay very much. The neighborhood is really peaceful and quiet (far away from the chaos of downtown Playa del Carmen), green and lovely. Akab Condominio itself is very nicely done, with apartments surrounding a swimming pool and large trees. You feel as if in the middle of nature. The apartment itself is in front of a green area but not right in front of the swimming pool, which is better. I liked the way the apartment is decorated, it was spacious and clean; the shower was also really nice. A couple of pluses that this apartment offers is the washing machine and the huge jug of drinking water for us in the kitchen. Thanks for the personal attention. On the down side, it can be a bit noisy when children play in the swimming pool (thankfully we're not right in front of it). It would also be good to install a smoke detector. The apartments are set up in such a way that there's no window next to the stove, and the kitchen hood does not get all the vapor out if cooking a lot.

We would definitely stay here again. Having the pool ocean side was awesome. The condo itself was exactly as described as well. We had a few hiccups that required contacting the host, and they responded very quickly each time. Also, the location felt secure, as it requires entering through a gate. There is plenty to do within walking distance, and driving was easy to navigate as well. We are very happy with our choice.

This place felt right at home. It is very peaceful, clean, and accommodating. We really enjoyed our stay and wouldn’t hesitate to return.

El departamento está muy bien ubicado, limpio, es enorme, de todo nuestro gusto, cuenta con todo lo necesario para que la estadía sea cómoda y grata. La atención del personal del Resort, es de 10. estacionamiento cómodo, lugar seguro, facilitan toallas para la playa y piscina, hasta las 18:00 horas. Estuvimos realmente bien.

Nina’s place was perfect! It was a little walk to downtown and shops but the distance was nice. The neighborhood felt safe and peaceful. The pool was wonderful.

Beautiful, clean, and comfortable condo interior, furnishings, lobby, etc. Safe and secure gated parking with friendly guards. Ocean views from the private balcony. Kitchen had all nice appliances, cookware, dishes, etc, plus various coffee makers, incl a French Press. Bathroom and shower were modern and clean. Bed was big and comfortable, with a bunch of pillows and extra blankets if needed. Both TV's worked great, incl. streaming apps. The host, Jeffrey, and his local property manager, Cristian were both super friendly, helpful, and were active with communication. All questions were answered promptly and made our stay anxiety-free! One block walk to the beach. Within a few blocks of EVERYthing needed, ped mall with gift shops, upscale and mid-level restaurants of all types, pharmacies, currency exchange, and many convenience stores/bodegas. Big grocery store and Walmart were within 2miles. We would absolutely book Jeffrey's condo next time we come to Playa del Carmen!!

Excelente anfitrion, siempre pendiente

Apartamento coincide con la descripción, un lugar tranquilo con mucha naturaleza, estaba ordenado y el anfitrión Andras siempre estuvo muy pendiente y dió instrucciones claras. Lo único negativo que una de las bicicletas no funcionaba y las distancias para caminar a la salida de playacar son de aproximadamente 15 minutos. De resto todo positivo, hay un Oxxo 24 horas a 5 minutos y también cuenta con la tarjeta de club de playa.

Great and beautiful space. We were gone around and about most of the time but the bed and pillows are so comfortable! That was a big plus for us to sleep. Hot water and good pressure! The air needs to be adjusted, it doesn’t push enough fresh air. Coffee pods and the very organized loft with everything you need is really awesome. 😎

We loved our stay at Rachel's Beautiful Condo! As the pictures shows, her space is wonderful in so many ways! It is beautifully decorated, clean, spacious and comfortable, and she is a kind, responsive and fantastic host! We would not hesitate to stay here again. The pool at the Elements is fantastic, the food at the ocean grill is great and so convenient, there is an awesome yoga center just across the street, and the ocean views are great. We really enjoyed our stay there - 5 stars!!!

¡Un departamento hermoso y con todas las comodidades! La ubicación es perfecta, cerca de la playa, la 5ta Avenida, la terminal de micros (ADO) y transporte. El departamento es moderno y re completo, podés cocinar sin drama, ideal para descansar y disfrutar de la pileta en la terraza. La seguridad es excelente, 24 horas. La anfitriona fue muy amable y atenta. ¡Lo re recomiendo! Pasé 15 días increíbles.

The place is just as described, very nice and clean. Dan & Mariana were very responsive, making sure we had what we needed and were super flexible with checking in and out. 5/5 stars, I would absolutely book again!

El apartamento olia muy rico durante nuestra estadia, el lugar esta muy bien ubicado y es muy facil llegar al mismo, lugar muy comodo para quedarse algunos dias. Muy recomendado

Maria is a wonderful host and her condo is very comfortable and clean. The bakery across the street was delicious and we also enjoyed the Italian restaurant. Otherwise we walked about 15 min to the tourist area which had so many choices for food! We also walked to Sams Club (taxi back) for food cooked at the Air bnb. The kitchen was well stocked for cooking. The pool was very nice and lying in a hammock in the pool heavenly! Highly recommend!

Tanto el alojamiento como el huésped estuvieron a la altura de nuestras expectativas. Único punto a tener en cuenta es que hay un complejo en construcción justo frente al alojamiento y hay ruido toda la mañana y tarde. También el acceso a playas públicas es algo lejano. El Resto impecable. Sin dudas lo recomiendo 100% El huésped siempre fue a amable y contestó rápidamente todas nuestras inquietudes.

Muy buena ubicación! el lugar muy agradable y comodo, buen servicio al cliente por parte de la recepción, perfecto si buscas algo cerca de la quinta avenida y el ferry a Cozumel pero en una zona tranquila, cerca de restaurantes. la azotea tiene una bonita vista.

es la segunda vez en este complejo (AWA) y la verdad siempre nos la pasamos genial, angelica siempre estuvo al pendiente, el departamento todo OK.

As a solo female traveller; I felt comfortable & safe here! The host communicated well and clear. The bed was comfortable. There were extra beach and bathroom towels. Water pressure in shower was decent and felt clean. The fridge had 4 water bottles when you first entered. Wifi was great (working remotely) Pool upstairs was cool except it wasn’t cold in temperature, didn’t enjoy it since it was hot. Gym amenities were good! My favorite thing was the location, PRIME to be far enough and close enough to the fun. Market downstairs was accessible! The AC has an odd leak of water so dont charge your devices on when its also on. I would stay here again. (Theres a lot of construction so you need to pass it + the workers but not a big deal) plenty of taxis nearby if needed.

Jorge was very responsive and the the apartment was clean and as described. The amenities of the properly were quite nice and it felt like we were staying at a mini resort which was great for pictures. The host provided great instructions and we felt safe and comfortable. The only external issue outside the host’s control was using Uber and In-Drive. The taxis are very expensive but the security will hassle your uber drivers and even bar them from coming to pick you up. We were on the way to the airport and the security refused to let our driver gain access to pick us up. It was ridiculous, but not the host’s fault.
