Cottage holiday rentals in Pictou

Lovely home -- feel very lucky to have been able to stay here for a few nights because they often are fully booked over the summer. A large and beautiful home with a lovely sunroom + romantic pier a bit further downhill from the home, as well as so many different outdoor nooks. The hosts provide very clear instructions for things like kayaks, hot tub, and the inside fireplace. The hot tub definitely takes some time to get going (would recommend giving it 6-8 hours), but there was lots of kindling and logs to support us figuring it out. Would 100% recommend bring mosquito spray to make the outdoor experience more pleasant. Kitchen is bountiful with kitchen tools (pots, pans, knives, cutlery) to make cooking such a pleasant experience. If you kayak across the lake, there are also some hiking trails!!!

From the moment we arrived, we loved the property. The kitchen had everything you needed. There was lots of room for everyone to sit around, play games, eat and you always felt included. We didn't have to go far and we were on the ATV trails....and there were lots of them to enjoy. The bedrooms were spacious and the beds were very comfy. The overall feel of the place is cozy snd comfy. We are recommending this property to all our friends.

We had a great stay, gurvinder was very responsive to all our questions and requests throughout and the house was perfect for spending time together. definitely recommend and would stay again.

There were 10 of us and everyone loved the house, the location, the view and the amenities. The pictures didn't do it justice especially the bathrooms. Place was absolutely perfect. Cozy yet lots of room....definitely like to go again in the future.

This place is quiet, peaceful and has everything you need to be comfortable for your stay. It also has a grocery store just a couple minutes away which is a bonus in case you forget to bring something. Definitely worth a stay if you’re ever in Tatamagouche.

This place has charm out the wazoo. A beautiful spot with a lot of character. The hot tub was a nice bonus. Michael was super responsive and proactive when we lost power - leaving lanterns and a flashlight outside the door on our return. The beach is great, my wife couldn’t get enough of the seals sunning themselves on the rocks just off shore.

The home is tucked in amongst the trees away from all the noise of life, with a beautiful lake just a short walk away. If you are looking for a place to relax and get away from life’s craziness…this is the place. I booked a stay with Michael to spend time with all the girls to reconnect, relax and celebrate before my daughter’s upcoming wedding. There was plenty of space for all 10 of us. There is a large deck off the back of the main level with 2 large tables as well as a bbq that is covered for use in inclement weather. We were pleasantly surprised to find several games including washer toss, bean bag toss and connect four located in the garage for guests to use. There is also an additional refrigerator in the garage for the overflow of food/drinks for large parties staying. My daughter and a couple of her girls enjoyed relaxing in the hot tub before bed. The atmosphere is a large peaceful cabin in the woods where you can watch for wild life and spend time with all your friends.

Kathleen’s beautiful farmhouse is an incredible find. I will be telling everyone I know about this Airbnb. It was much larger than the pictures made it look, it was absolutely spotless, and the view was incredible. It was a perfect location that provided solitude while being close to so many great places, we didn’t have time to explore them all! AND the hosts are not only responsive, but were incredibly accommodating to my group. I can’t recommend them enough. This Airbnb checks all the boxes, I already want to go back!!

Great cottage, nothing lacking, close access to great, walkable, swimmable beach with entertaining seals and other wildlife. Friendly, helpful and accessible host.

We stayed here and it was a lovely cozy cottage with beautiful view and sunrises. Very clean and well stocked kitchen. Comfortable beds and extra bed lines for the colder night. Beach was nice but 100% bring your water shoes. Lots of thing to do around the cottage on rainy days. We got a lovely email from the host with all kinds of ideas and places to go in town. We the perfect end to our summer

This was our first trip to PEI and we were unfamiliar with the area. We had a lovely stay in the beautiful cottage and had everything we needed, except shampoo. :-) It was a little removed from restaurants, shopping and grocery stores but forced us to venture out and explore! The cottage was lovely, and the beds were so comfortable!

This is the fourth year my friends and I have stayed at Steve's place. We love the location, with direct access to the beach. Steve has tons of amenities and it really is a relaxing weekend. Hope to continue the tradition!

Great place and great communication from host. Some issues came up during our stay (because of US) Moira was very professional and open to finding resolutions. Again the issues were on our end not Moira’s, want to be clear on that. Would definitely recommend

Mark & Rachel’s place is a gem! This is our 2nd trip to Sunnybank Jr and we are already trying to figure out our plans to stay again next year. Our only regret this year was the shorter stay - we should have made it for 3 nights (or more)! But we thoroughly enjoyed our 2 nights here. The upgrades since last year are a wonderful addition. Our family feels right at home here. The beds are cozy, there’s lots of seating in the kitchen, living room, and newly added sun room, it has everything we need to cook a nice family dinner. You can’t beat the views or the proximity to the ocean. A hop, skip and a jump down the stairs, you are on the ocean floor (or in the water, depending on the tide :)). Mark & Rachel are wonderful hosts. Thanks for another great stay!

We had a wonderful March Break stay at Taylor's beautiful vacation home on the Wallace River in Wentworth. The home is new, modern and very comfortable. We were a small group of 3 adults and 2 young children. Beds were all very comfortable and kitchen offered everything we needed to make our meals. We were able to use both indoor and outdoor fire places. The children loved looking for fossils along the riverbank and view was gorgeous. There were lots of toys and books for them as well. We would definitely stay here again on a ski vacation. Wentworth ski hill was only 10 minutes away. Perfect spot.

This was our second visit to Sophie’s and we found everything as enjoyable the second time around. A lovely, quiet, clean spot with a beautiful view. Thank you for sharing!

Quiet beautiful spot to take in the nature of PEI. Loved the beach at the end of the Lane. The lodge was perfect for what we needed very clean and the hosts were great.

Super laid back area, lots of room in the backyard if you were to travel with kids or pets! Super open concept and was super homey

Amazing views. Cozy cottage with everything you need. Seen lots of wildlife, seals, bald eagle and a nice deer came strolling by while I had my tea on the deck. Had a wonderful relaxing week. Host was very friendly. Would recommend.

We loved our time at this airbnb with the family! it was a beautiful view and the home was so cozy 😍 Our family enjoyed our stay and it was extremely well stocked. we especially enjoyed the baby swing they had for our 6 week old. Hosts are great, we highly reccomend!

We throughly enjoyed our time at this lovely farmhouse. Its was a perfect base of operations for my mom, sisters and I to visit our relatives, make memorable meals, and drink lots of tea and wine! Bedrooms were very well appointed with comfortable and clean linens. If we had any questions Marnie responded very quickly. I wouod defintely recommend this location to anyone looking for a relaxing retreat! Thank you!

We had an excellent getaway at Pompqet Cottages. Very beautiful scenery! Rochelle has everything you need at the cottage. Definitely will be coming back.
