El lugar es increíble y lo complementa el excelente servicio y hospitalidad. Recomiendo mucho La Casa del Viajero, realmente me sorprendió mucho lo atentos que son Santiago y Gina. Una estancia excelente, el lugar es muy limpio y de verdad el servicio es lo mejor.

Great place, in beautiful historic district walking distance to the plaza. Very quiet and comfortable rooms. Reception staff were incredibly kind and responsive and gave great local recommendations and a map of the city!

Great location, charming and helpful staff, beautiful garden, good food, welcoming dining/lounge area with a fireplace, games and books. There was also plenty of hot water (not a certainty in Ecuador) and towels. Staff arranged a taxi for me to Quito airport ($50) for an easy transfer. They also directed me to the public health department for a pre-travel Covid test.

Just book it! Diego’s place was perfect for my solo trip! The staff is incredible and Diego communicates extremely well. I cannot recommend it enough! I was a female solo traveler and I had zero issues. They made me feel like at home. Great breakfast, clean peaceful place to sleep, it has a small place to prep food, the staff omg they were awesome! Super easy to get to from the airport via public transportation as the metro is 3 min away walking. I am sad to leave and will stay here again if coming back! Highly highly recommend!

Book it! An amazing, beautiful, and truly unique place to stay. Literally sleeping in a hand dug cave. It took the original owner 20 years to chisel it out of the hilltop, and another 10 years to turn it into a hotel. Breakfast was included. We booked horseback riding for four people (they have 5 horses) for an hour it was a reasonable $72 total. The guide led us around the beautiful farm that the property is on. They also offer guided walking tours and a free tour of the hotel. We did the wine & cheese pairing ($8/person) which was fun to connect with the host and other guests. 2 glasses of wine +cheese, one of which they aged in the cave. We bought dinner at the hotel's restaurant. The road in is a bit exciting, managed to make it up in a van but had to try twice in two steep spots to actually make it up. We stayed one night before flying out of Quito which worked well as it's only 15 minutes once on the highway. Do it!

We loved our stay at Hotel Vieja Cuba. The staff is exceptionally kind and helpful and our room was beautiful.

This place is an outstanding bargain and certainly deserves more attention from Airbnb users. The rooms are extremely clean and comfortable. The public spaces are spacious and inviting. The hotel is well situated and maintains a beautiful garden area that all of the rooms face. The dining area is very welcoming and the food is quite good and reasonably priced. Sitting around the fireplace in the cool of the evening is a wonderful way to relax, unwind and to meet others. The highlight, however, of our stay was the kind and gracious staff who manage the place so well as a team. The ownership grants employees a 15% profit-sharing plan along with 10% of the gross receipts and a 100% match on education expenses for employees and family members. So staying here also contributes to supporting a socially responsible business and its employees. This is certainly reflected in the excellent service afforded to all guests.
