House holiday rentals in Peso da Régua

Lisbon was nice, but our vacation started here. Having this beautiful home and a car, we explored the region and had a great time. Owners recommendations led to our favorites experiences on the trip. Can't recommend enough. The pics don't do it justice either, and the pics are amazing.

This is a very special place with beauty everywhere you look including the architecture of the house utilising the natural materials of the region to blend into the landscape. Francisca cooked us a delicious three course meal including wine, delivered on a tray on our first night what a treat ! On Francisca’s recommendation we had a very authentic wine and food tour with Bambuti Tours we were overwhelmed with Portugal hospitality for the day and Viewed some amazing scenery, a great way to explore the valley. Casa Do Largo is situated in some of the most beautiful scenery in the valley and we enjoyed a whole day there , with a walk to the beautiful river first then a day enjoying the pool and the most comfortable home. This has been our favourite spot in Portugal and we would highly recommended you book it for at least 3 nights.

It felt like home when we returned after 6 six years. The place of Laurence & Jorge is in line with the pictures and the view is amazing. The house has everything you need, we really loved the mattresses and the pillows. The house is surrounded by a large garden, and we liked the privacy and the fruit trees in the garden. Getting into the house is easy and communication is perfect. We will definitely return again! We recommend to do some groceries before you arrive, the nearest supermarket is a 15 min drive away. This was one of the most breathtaking views I’ve ever had at an Airbnb. The scenery was stunning, and the setting felt wonderfully secluded yet still just 15 minutes from the nearest supermarket (via a charming, winding road). The house was very comfortable and included a lovely pool — a perfect spot to unwind and take in the beauty around. Highly recommended for a peaceful getaway.

The stay went incredibly well. We had high expectations, but he managed to exceed them. The house is very well located and the decoration is wonderful! I think João and Debora are amazing hosts, they left nothing to chance and were always available to help. For sure, repeating it!

This was a wonderful stay that offers you the best of both worlds. A quaint, peaceful rural home yet driveable to bigger tourist areas. Jose was such a welcoming host and we appreciated our arrival treats and his graciousness even with our late arrival. The history to the home is unique and adds another layer of warmth to the stay. The home was clean and the beds comfy. The shower had good pressure and a good supply of hot water. It has a functional kitchen as well as a grill outside that we made good use of. The pool was absolutely lovely after a long day of touring. We enjoyed evening games of euchre in the loft area but note that even if you aren’t tall, remember to duck as there’s a low beam. We highly recommend this stay and would return without hesitation!

We so enjoyed our stay! The house is amazing. Historic and cozy charm with modern amenities. We had so much fun with the soccer field, the pool, the pool table, hammock, and exploring the grounds. We picked lemons off the tree and made lemonade and a lemon dessert! We soo enjoyed meals at the big outdoor tables- wonderful to accommodate our large group of 7. The daily delivery of fresh bread is a treat!! We enjoyed walking into town and visiting the butcher, bakery, fish market and such. It’s a 25-minute walk through lovely hills, though there is not a sidewalk and the traffic was difficult to navigate at times, but we also drove to town. Sitting outside with morning coffee overlooking the valley was one of my favorite parts! My daughter and fiancé stayed in the detached cottage and found it to be so cozy and comfortable. Lastly, Isabel was very accommodating with some last minute changes, which I really appreciated. Thank you for a lovely stay!

We've had an amazing 4 days here. It's just a perfect location and we felt at home here. The pool, the view, the garden with grill - everything was just perfect. The only 'negative' things, if you can call them negative, is that the bathroom is on a different floor than the bedrooms, and that the parking is a bit tight for a large car. We can fully recommend this place to anyone looking for a private getaway in a beautiful location.

The property was beautiful. We arrived early and they rushed to clean everything. We were offered the property with the jacuzzi, and there were all the necessary amenities for our baby: high chair, toys, bed… the jacuzzi in front of the large windows was an unforgettable experience. Central location for exploring the Douro. All our needs were met, we were offered port and local fruits. It is obvious that these people care about the well-being of their guests, we recommend it without hesitation.

The view here is incomparable! The views over the Duoro River are amazing. It’s so close to wineries and winery tours too. There’s a supermarket close by with all you’ll need. It was hot the day we arrived and the pool overlooking the valley was pristine and oh so refreshing! Our host did a great job of communicating and made us feel right at home. I could have stayed here a lot longer!

Beautiful house in a sleepy village, perfect for chilling and as a base for exploring the region.

Olivier was a wonderful host, very helpful with recommendations of all sorts (food, trips, events, wine,..) and they even brought me fresh tea (herbs and fruits) from their garden for me to brew! The house itself was spotless, beautifully designed and simply great to be at.

It is a lovely stay over in a village away from crowds, shops and restaurants. Wonderful to have parking at the house and friendly reception. Nice garden. Close to the highway but tricky to find even with Manual's video and google maps. We enjoyed the stay and definitely recommend!

The accommodation is located in a quiet village in the middle of the upper Douro vineyard and surrounded by vineyards. The only service available in the village is a small association under the Parish Council, which operates part-time (which also harms the privacy of the pool). Despite this there is sales of walking bread. The nearest large commercial areas are in Régua, about 15 minutes away by car. The Hosts were very friendly and provided all the necessary clarifications. Accommodation is great for a family break.

This is the second year we have visited this place. There is something magical about it and, especially for those who work in the city, it is the perfect place to disconnect. It gives us health and makes us dream. I highlight once again the pool and the view. Waking up with a view of the valley is sensational. The house has all the conveniences and is very well equipped. The space is clean and very welcoming. I hope to come back next year.

Amazing location with incredible views. Beautiful property with great interior design and well chosen artwork, sympathetic to the original school. Thanks to Tania and Carla for the care and attention and for the outstanding breakfast each day. And for doing a shop for us on the first day before our arrival. We would definitely recommend the chef at home meal. Great food and service by the guys with traditional Portuguese dishes on offer. Fantastic stay; we didn’t want to leave….ever! Outstanding! Mario and Cila’s home was one of the most beautiful I have stayed out. The house was an old olive oil mill, converted into a modern paradise. They thoughtfully incorporated the property’s history into the renovation. The home is beautiful but the grounds are next level! There is a running stream running along side and under the house with lush grounds and a wonderful pool. There is also a walking path to a little park with a waterfall! Super peaceful property. If you are looking for a getaway, look no further! Mario and Cila are super kind, gracious hosts! They welcomed us themselves and proactively provided tips and recommendations. Super appreciative of their hospitality.

This place was perfect for what we needed. So much so that we added an extra night. The direct view from the terrace is worth the trip (Douro Valley). In addition, José gave us a nice wine tasting suggestion (5 minutes from the accommodation) where the advice and wines were perfect. We would recommend this listing without hesitation

I always stay here, the first time was in 2020 and everytime i go to Vila Real this is where i stay.

Pedro was a great host ! Super responsive and helpful . The place was beautiful , the view was incredible . A little piece of paradise ! The apartment was super cozy and perfect for what we needed. It Was ready for our toddler with a crib , high chair and books. Beyond expectations !
