Holiday rentals with lake access in Penobscot County

Great location. Woke up to the sounds of birds. very responsive. I would have given it a 5 star all the way, David was amazing and responded in a very timely manner. But, the turn over service could have been much better. The previous guest left a wine bottle in the automatic fridge ice dispenser and it was unfounded until my family found a large peice of glass in their drink, serious hazard to drink glass. Should have been spotted by the turn over service but, who would check the ice maker for a bottle a wine? I understand that. Very uncommon and unfortunate for us. David responded in a very fast manner and gave us options to accommodate the situation. I would have left a 5 star if this was the only thing but everything was so unorganized in the kitchen, they had everything but nothing made sense to why it was there. Sink didn't drain. There were also stains on the sheets and a pizza box left by the fridge that wasn't ours. Little things but the turn over service was a let down.

Abigail’s place is perfect. Cozy, serene, and beautiful. You feel immediately at home when you walk in, the view from the windows is incredible. We enjoyed sitting out on the covered porch, looking out at the water, and watching for wildlife. The rooms were pristine and the pillows were beyond comfy. The addition across the kitchen was the ultimate place to lounge and relax - kid friendly too with day beds. We had a great experience and I can’t recommend this place enough. Our host left a couple of personalized touches which made the trip feel that much more special. Thank you Abigail for a great experience!

James’ place was absolutely amazing! The views of the lake are stunning and he graciously accepts dogs in his home. We had access to the canoe and kayaks and fire pit, which could easily be enough for a stay in the house. The house was clean and in a private area. I would recommend this lake house to anyone looking for a quiet retreat. If I were to stay here again, the only thing I would do is probably bring my own pans to cook with.

Took a family trip to Acadia and this was a great place to stay. The house was very comfortable and enjoyed the on-site hiking trails and sitting down at the lake and having a wine. Appreciate the quick response from the owner when I had a question. Great getaway!!! Thank you for a memorable stay!

Kevin and Cathy's place is spotlessly clean and in a pristine and serene setting. Great location on the lake with views of sunsets and sunrises. The kitchen and baths appear to be renovated and are in spotless condition with lots of supplies. We really didn't need a thing. There was never a need to reach out because instructions and pre-checkin in communications had already answered everything. We didn't use any of the many kayaks (a bit too chilly) but we did enjoy the firepit. We like the layout, with bedrooms on the top floor and living space downstairs - adults could sleep in while kids were free to have breakfast and play downstairs. I can't think of anything to add or change about this lodging. It was a wonderful visit.

Kings cottage was the perfect place to unplug and recharge! It was so peaceful and quiet!! The sunsets were unreal and the wild life was awesome to see!! Befriended a few loons and bald eagles!!! 10/10 would recommend!!! I would absolutely revisit!!!! Ryan and his family were attentive hosts, very polite and thoughtful!!! Made this vacation such a breeze!! Cannot thank them enough!!! -this place is a hidden gem!!!-

Absolutely wonderful house! Everything was exactly what was pictured. There were extra amenities like cooking spices and fresh fire wood. We also loved the proximity to downtown. The hosts were friendly and responsive. We look forward to rent again in the future!

It was an amazing beach home, great for families and had everything we needed plus more. Carrie always gave a response quickly and with clear instruction!

Had a great weekend staying at Naomi’s Airbnb while visiting Acadia! The apartment has a very modern finish to it and has all the amenities you might need while spending a cozy weekend in nature. The drive to Acadia is close to an hour but the location of the property is quite peaceful and right next to a lake.

Very clean and easy to get in and out! Being from Sebec and knowing what those units used to look like, I was pleasantly surprised! Awesome place to stay.

We loved our week long stay! The cabin is awesome and location is perfect. We spent time at Bar Harbor and Acadia. The lake is beautiful and so peaceful. John and Maria were great.

Emery and Cindy were wonderful hosts and very welcoming. I stayed at their place for a work trip during July and my husband and son stayed with me. They were very friendly and it felt more like we were visiting family. When I wasn’t working I got to enjoy the peaceful surroundings and the lake. I watched a few sunsets on the dock. Bed was comfy and bathroom was very clean. Would definitely stay here again!

We didn't actually get to stay at Angel's place because our plans changed. She offered to change the dates of our stay or refund us 100% even though our plans changed at the last minute. Angel was great to communicate with. She was very understanding and helpful towards our situation. She made a stressful situation less stressful. If we're ever in the Lincoln area again, we will not hesitate to seek out Angel's place and to enjoy the water right outside her backyard with our dogs! Thank you Angel for being kind!!

Out of the way, peaceful and stocked with pretty much anything you could need in case you forget something. Clean and comfortable and the host is friendly and makes sure you know everything you need to about the cottage and the area around it.

We absolutely loved our stay! Kevin and Michelle were excellent hosts exceptionally friendly, responsive, and helpful. Although gps was undependable, they gave excellent driving directions from an easily found spot with dependable gps coverage. Kevin and Michelle truly have a slice of paradise. Their cabin was beautiful, comfortable, and well maintained. Yards surrounding cabin were so tastefully landscaped with beautiful flowers everywhere. Just imagine a spot in the mountains with snow on mountain tops, a nice sandy beach, free kayaks and canoes, big lake with fish, loons and all kinds of wildlife. Follow this with a spectacular sunset and you have Windy Point!

My family of three had a great time at this camp. It’s a lovely remote getaway and nice spot for swimming, BBQing, camp fires and has a beautiful view of Borestone Mountain.

A little slice of heaven! The Nest was everything we hoped for and more. The sunsets over the crystal-clear lake were stunning, but what really struck us was how long the colors linger in the sky up here, creating the most peaceful and relaxing mood to close out each day. The cabin itself was cozy, thoughtfully designed, and the perfect size for our getaway. We left feeling refreshed and grateful, already looking forward to a return visit.

Janice's place was a beautiful getaway. Very clean and comfortable. We really enjoyed the view and our stay there. Janice was a great hostess and gave us all the information we needed and more. Would definitely stay there again when visiting family in the area.

This cabin is the perfect location for a peaceful retreat. When we showed up, we were amazed at how quiet and serene the atmosphere was. The pictures from the listing are what drew us in but even they don’t hold up to seeing it in person. We had a great night out by the fire pit and the Traeger was easy to use for grilling up food. The cabin is very clean and updated. The nights were clear while we were there, and it is amazing how many stars are up in the sky when you’re away from the lights of big cities. If you are looking for a quiet place to get away, look no further. This cabin is perfect for a couple looking to escape and enjoy the peace of nature surrounding them.

This was our second stay at Brian's place, and it was just as beautiful and peaceful as we remembered. The serene atmosphere and stunning views made it the perfect getaway. Brian was a fantastic host, and we truly felt at home. We will definitely be back!
