Bed and breakfast holiday rentals in Penobscot County

This was the third time for my family to live here. I look here like my another home in USA,because my son lived Dover for four years . Although i don’t know can i have a chance to come back again in the future,i never forget this place and Mark &Tina.

Beautiful house from the 1800's with lovely common sitting area with big windows. Mark and Tina have a great eye for detail and take very good care of their home. Delicious breakfasts were served in communal room looking out to the back gardens. I'd recommend their B&B to anyone for an experience of comfort and being well taken care of.

We were very comfortable at Mark & Tina’s B&B. It was spotlessly clean and had all we needed for a peaceful four day rest. There was a heatwave during our visit, so we were happy to return to our cool & cozy room after each attempt to be adventurous.

We very much enjoyed our stay and could see the prominence it must have in spring and summer!!

Mark and Tina were wonderful host. My Son and I stayed for 3 nights and had delicious breakfast made for us every morning. The room was so cozy. The electric wood burning stove was great for the cold nights we stayed, beautiful furnishings and the room was so clean and spacious. We had a great time. I would definitely recommend the Brewster Inn to other guest who love staying in a unique old fashioned bed and breakfast. Beautiful and a little piece of history that is worth the stay.

Prepare for a lovely stay in a well maintained old mansion! The garden is beautiful along with a great breakfast.

Thanks so much to Mark and Melanie for being outstanding hosts that took extraordinary good care of us during our three night stay. The coffee room was a pleasant surprise as we had been traveling on our Harley Davidson for several days. Other places we stayed just didn't have the quality the Gather Inn had. What can I say about the breakfasts. I felt like a child on Christmas morning that got all the presents on my list. Breakfast was TOP NOTCH and there was a variety each day. The newly installed climate control systems in each room resulted in 3 wonderful night's sleep. The house is amazing and has an incredible wrap around front porch in a beautiful small town in the middle of one of the most amazing states. Within a short walk, there are a couple of restaurants and a really nice bar with a legendary bartender named Tom which are all a must stop. If you're lucky like we were, you'll get to meet thru-hikers from the legendary Appalachian Trail. THANK YOU SO MUCH!

Great Bed and Breakfast! The morning breakfast was the best. The rooms and furnishings were beautiful. We felt right at home.

We chose The Gather Inn because the space fit our needs and it looked so homey and welcoming. It did not disappoint. The bathrooms are small, but provided all that is really needed. The beds were comfortable, in-room AC easy to control, lighting was plentiful and warm. Extra blankets were available along with great towels! Tracy makes a wonderful breakfast and is very friendly and accommodating with guests. Melanie was not on the property, but she was quick to respond to any of our questions. There is plenty of parking. We were in Millinocket to pick up our son after completing the Appalachian Trail. We found that the Gather Inn did not provide many options for a hiker to hang gear to dry which was essential before packing it up for the trip home. If we had more time, we would have stayed longer and would recommend the Gather Inn to others. It is a wonderful gem of a Bed & Breakfast. Thank you, Melanie (and Tracy).

Excellent place to relax, grab a hot shower, and have a good nights rest after a trip in Katahdin! Super flexible host and everything was just as described. Host even went above and beyond by packing breakfast to go for an early checkout!

Gather Inn was in a perfect spot to walk around Millinocket, and made getting to Baxter State Park very easy. All conveniences were up to date, and having a heat pump just for our room made it easy to have the right temperature. And breakfast was FANTASTIC. Honestly might have been worth it just for that!

We spent a wonderful weekend in Millinocket for the marathon. The B&B was lovely and super convenient to downtown. It was nice to socialize with other runners staying there, and the access to snacks and coffee was much appreciated on race weekend. We look forward to coming back next year!
