Pet-friendly holiday rentals in Peaks Island

Our son, his girlfriend, my husband and I enjoyed staying at the cottage in late October 2024. The location was quite scenic as it overlooked Casco Bay, near Portland, ME. The host made suggestions that we followed (bringing firewood & blankets). The kitchen was equipped with utensils & coffeemakers. The neighborhood was quiet. We enjoyed walking in the local preserve along the water and took advantage of visiting the Portland Museum of Art and eating at The Honey Paw, an Asian fusion restaurant.

Enjoyed our stay very much! Lovely location on the water. Some white traffic noise but worth it watching the boats and wildlife! Comfy bed. We slept very well. Well-stocked kitchen. The location is perfect for lots of little day trips. Our only disappointment was the size of the smallest room. It’s very tiny. Great for a child but pretty tight for our adult son. Host was attentive. We will be back!

Perfect weekend retreat for a small family with a young one. Close to downtown, museum, and the firepit was so nice at night. 5 stars all around and will return in the future. Thanks Phillip!

Kevin's place worked really well for my two dogs and myself. There is a fenced in back yard. I liked the setup of the primary bedroom with the attached full bath and laundry. Comfortable bed! Very quiet neighborhood and very convenient to access other areas of Portland. I really appreciated the back deck setup. I need to find the comfy chair they have out back for my own home! Clean and usable kitchen. Nice stack of Maine materials and recommendations for local items to check out. Overall, a very pleasant stay, thank you!

We love Long Island and the view from Nona’s View was phenomenal! The house was clean and tidy and had everything we needed! Bridget was extremely responsive and we would go back for another visit in a heartbeat.

Had a short but lovely stay here. Awesome location and Kathleen was very responsive and gave us great recommendations. Only wish we had planned to stay longer!

House and location worked for our family who was in Portland for a graduation. Parking for 3 cars was handy. Beach super close as was Scratch Bakery (yum).

Really really loved our stay at your place! And the interior decor was to die for! Super walkable, easy 15-20 minute walk down to the old port strip (shops and restaurants) great scenic overlook, coffee shops, and additional restaurants within the surrounding blocks. Nancy was proactive and gave clear instructions for check in, the stay, and check out. Would stay again!

Great backyard with a pool, hot tub, fire pit and privacy with the woods.

We would 100% recommend Dina’s place to ANYONE (and we hope to be back)! The place is beautiful and would accommodate a small to large family. The pool and hot tub are incredibly nice and peaceful surrounded by trees. The furniture is incredibly comfortable and the kitchen great to use. Dina is also incredibly thoughtful and quick with her replies. We got a little turned around arriving at night (the GPS lead us up the road a bit), but we found it!

Gorgeous house, peaceful area, a great back deck with pool and hot tub! Jey was a great host, very helpful and quick response time. The house was very clean and put together. I would totally recommend staying at jeys house!!

Christina’s place is awesome! Cozy, centrally located on the island, and stocked with everything you need for a great stay. We were very comfortable! Loved the afternoon sun on the back deck and having a fire pit out front in the evening. A bonus that it’s dog friendly! Christina was very responsive and helpful. We hope to be back again!

this house was perfect for a girls weekend getaway!! spacious and beautiful, still super close to all the activities in portland, but wonderfully peaceful! it was too cold to use the pool but it looks great and I would love to book this house again later in there summer to be able to use it! the beds were super comfortable and easy off street parking. thanks for a great stay!

Home is very expansive with room for multiple families to reside together. Lots of games and activities for all ages. Amazing location within minutes to airport and short drive to downtown

Central location, but was surprisingly very quiet and private. Kelsey is an excellent communicator and host.

Had an absolutely stellar stay in this beautiful home. Perfect for our small family of 3 and super comfortable. Fantastic location as it’s walkable to tom the great restaurants and shops in the immediate area, and about 20 minute nice stroll to downtown Portland. Would highly recommend this place and hope to visit again in the future.

We had such a great stay at Porches!! It was the perfect spot for a nice long weekend family getaway. We loved how close it was to the water and to town. We will be back again, I am sure!

Kerry was very sweet. And brought over an iron that saved my suit for a wedding. :) The home was very beautiful and on my list for future visits to Maine.

Liam's place was lovely, clean and neat. Great location. He checked in with us throughout our stay. He accommodated an early check and offered a late checkout to us.

The views were amazing and the place was perfect! They’ve thought of everything (beach chairs, extra linens, coffee) and the flowers and birds make the property even more lovely. I stayed with my daughter and there is privacy within the space. The beach is a five minute walk from the house. We will definitely stay again!

I can’t say enough about what a nicely appointed home in a beautiful setting this is. I came for peace and tranquility and it did not disappoint. I haven’t had such good sleep in over 2 years. Highly recommend and plan to return next year! Thank you all so much for sharing your lovely home.

The unit is in a great location for exploring Portland. Everything we wanted to do was within walking distance. The unit was clean and suited our needs really well. The bed was very comfortable.
