Look out at the pristine City Hall with the Statue of Liberty and a bronze sculpture marking the city where Honest Abe visited just before announcing his run for Presidency. The original bricks and hardwood in this unique 170-year-old home have stood the test of time. Take a an elevator (or stairs) to the 2nd floor. Located in the heart of historic downtown Leavenworth, the First City of Kansas. Within a few blocks are several coffee shops, bakeries, boutiques, and bars. Located only 10 miles from the award-winning tourist town of Weston, which has many breweries, wineries, and hiking trails. You won't find this anywhere else! Original wide hardwood floors that were laid 165 years ago and the original brick walls that have stood the test of time. A view from nine windows that overlook our pristine city hall with the statue of liberty and statue of Abraham Lincoln. (Lincoln announced his run for presidency right there in Leavenworth!) And to think, he most likely walked across the street and came in our building as it was a saloon at the time! You will enter our loft from the street by keypad and there is a small room leading to our new elevator (big steel door) to take you to the 2nd floor. Directions for the elevator are on the wall. Very easy, just always close the white accordian door to elevator in case your party calls it from another floor. Your party is the only people who have access to this elevator. Check in is between 4 and 7pm. Please drop us a text if it is not in that time frame. Check out is 11am. Again, please drop us a text if you need more time! Ride a custom elevator to the open yet cozy space above the host's candle and gift boutique. The flat is a great base to explore KC, Fort Leavenworth, the county seat, and quaint Weston, MO. Shops, restaurants, coffeehouses, and bars are steps away. There is a large parking lot behind the building on 5th street. 65" tv, but we do not have cable. There is a dvd player, and you are welcome to hook your phone to the tv to watch your prime video, hulu, etc. That is what we do, and use the data from our phone or computer to display on the tv screen!

Beautiful 1200 sq ft pets free w/ Big fenced yard

This brand new recently remodeled 1200 square foot space has it all. Open space concept with living room, bar, treadmill , foosball table, newly enlarged bedroom, and beautiful huge bathroom. Own entrance with spacious patio with view of backyard forest. All pets are welcomed at no extra cost. They love the big fenced backyard to run and play. We do have dogs of our own and they interact with our guests pets, if you would like. This space is 15 minutes away from downtown KCMO. No cleaning fee

Great place, very friendly and responsive hosts. Hard to believe it's so close to "old" Parkville / KC since it has a very rural feel to it. Really enjoyed having Jed, Django, and the chickens (we nicknamed the all black rooster Elvis) roaming around. Grandkids loved the place, especially playing in the creek. There's a HyVee and a Price Chopper a few minutes drive away on Tom Watson for groceries and snacks. We'll definitely book again when we're in the area. In response to a couple of other review comments, once you turn in on the blacktop driveway off County FF / NW River Road, go straight onto the gravel drive that leads into the woods. Google maps doesn't show the whole driveway.

Park House on Main was perfect! My husband and I wanted a walkable, quiet weekend in KC. The location of this place was ideal as it allowed us to walk everywhere; to the farmers market and park, to Prima for dinner, and to other local coffee shops and boutiques. The room we booked felt like a hotel room - equipped with clean linens, a small coffee pot and typical amenities. The train downtown was not a problem as the host supplied effective earplugs. We loved our stay!

The room was exactly as described. it was spotless clean and very cute. The bed was very comfy. The host was very friendly and responsive, the best host we've had so far. The town is very quaint and cute. We loved that everything was walkable. The cattle company below serves the best burgers we've ever had. There are stairs and trains, but neither were a problem. The host provided ear plugs, but we didn't need them. We never heard a train after we went to bed. We would definitely stay with this host again.

Loved Savannah’s place. It was clean and comfortable. We would stay there again. Here are a couple things: This is a duplex. We did not hear the neighbors. The space was surprisingly quiet. The shower head is very low. There is a handheld attachment for anyone over 5’6”. My only real complaint is that there isn’t a comfortable place to eat. Two stools are next to a large cabinet with a wooden top. There is no space for your legs or more than two people. That said, Savannah’s place is lovely and I would recommend it.
