Welcome to our “bakhuisje”: a national monument from +- 1700. The house is cozy and comfortable; living downstairs, bed is upstairs on the mezzanine. It has a cozy electric fireplace and a comfy couch. The bathroom has everything needed. Kitchenette (without cooking) with small fridge + coffee/tea and a beautiful view (vegetable garden, greenhouse, fruit trees). Of course WiFi and a workplace. Beautiful surroundings for walking/cycling and a small sandy beach in the river at 2 minutes walking.

On our property is‘ the Terpschuur ’which we have transformed into a beautiful cottage, where we ourselves during the renovation of the farm for more than two years, they enjoyed living in. ‘ De Terpschuur’ is a 4 person cottage with shower, toilet, kitchen and 2 bedrooms. "de Hoogt" is also a "Peace Point" for cyclists and hikers.

Monumental farmhouse Het Vinkenest in Oud-Alblas, located directly on the water "De Alblas". The mills of Kinderdijk are a few kilometers away and are of course a must to go to. The old town of Dordrecht can be reached by car within 10 minutes, and with 20 minutes you are in Rotterdam. Recently there is also an 8-person boat for rent as an addition. This is the ideal location for a great family weekend and not suitable for groups under 25 years.

Wonderful stay. I was welcomed and shown around openly and hospitably. The spacious is, as also described, small but nice. It is very cozy, privacy in the cottage and piece to sit outside. Fully equipped, cookware, basic necessities for both kitchen and bathroom. Everything is nice and clean. For breakfast I received 2 delicious fresh eggs from the chickens that roam around. All in all, well cared for, neat and nice.

The area is super quiet. You can take great walks directly from the garden. Frank always responded immediately to questions and answered everything very nicely. We lacked nothing!
