Secluded Beach Home Perfect for Family Getaway

DanielaRating, 5 stars1 month ago
The place was wonderful. It was so serene since we had the whole thing to ourselves. Although the house needed a few renovations, it was super cozy and the wind came through and through from morning til afternoon. It was also chilly at night and surprisingly there were no mosquitoes. The beds and linens were neat and tidy, and the comfort rooms were clean as well. Vei and Ate Elen were very accommodating. We had alot of questions and they both were very responsive. Since the place was remote and there were no nearby restaurants, Ate Elen cooked all our food, and everything was divine! We just sent a menu request in advance and she took care of all the rest. She always made sure we were comfortable. She and her husband even booked the boat ride from Balatero for us and helped us set up a bonfire during our last night. We loved how we were welcomed with fresh buko juice. Just the ideal drink to quench our thirst on a hot summer day. We will definitely come back!

Maculbo Art House

We had a great stay, which we extended twice and were very sad to leave. The place and surrounding nature are very peaceful and inspiring, and the family was a great help throughout our entire stay. Big hug and thank you to Claudette and Kuya Abel! We loved waking up to all the different birdsongs, and learning about the mangroves along the river. The property had some creative quirks to it, we enjoyed admiring the design, natural materials, and the wonderful artwork created by the host. We wouldn't have changed a thing, and hope to return one day. PS we miss the cats and dogs! ๐Ÿ•

Airconditioned Rental Unit Mamburao

NikolaRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
I booked a week for my wife to stay during her work trip. The home was neat and clean. Hosts were helpful and responsive ๐Ÿ˜Š. Any requests we had - we got a response in a matter of minutes. And the hospitality was on another level! Nanay and Tatay have a working tricycle, which they can use to take you to your desired destination within Mamburao. The night before the day of checking-out, Nanay prepared delicious food for my wife and her along Tatay invited her to have a nice dinner. Not only that, but they woke up earlier than 4AM on the next day to make sure my wife is safe and that she gets on her van. Tatay carried my wife's bags and they both gave instructions to her and wished her a safe travel. They stayed beside the van until it drove off to make sure everything is okay. In this home, you aren't treated like a guest. You are treated like family โค๏ธ. If my wife ever had to stay in Mamburao, I wouldn't think twice before booking this wonderful home full of wonderful people!

Deserted Island House

JoeyRating, 5 stars3 months ago
Michael and his wife have a wonderful "Deserted Island" . They are some of the most friendly hosts I've ever had with Airbnb. They were happy to share meals, show us around the island, and we easily formed a friendship! The property is quiet and very beautiful, surrounded by palm trees on 3 sides, and the beach on the other. Michael offers kayaks and badminton rackets and there's several great beaches for swimming nearby. The 2 bedrooms are very nicely put together, with high-quality furnishings and linens. The outdoor (but well covered) bathrooms are just stunning and a joy to use. Do note that the 2 rooms are quite private but the kitchen area is in a more shared area. Kitchen is very well equipped! As a digital nomad, I particularly enjoyed that the property is well covered by Starlink. This part of Mindoro is very remote. We made it with a regular car, but to properly explore I'd highly recommend a 4x4. Come prepared with groceries as there's not much around. Overall, 10/10

Iโ€™ll keep this short and sweet :) Michael and his wife are lovely, they have an incredibly beautiful home, sweet dogs, and a gorgeous bathroom. That being said, my friend and I came from the ferry via roro. We had big bikes. I asked Michael if his place was accessible via motorcycle and he said yes. I think it was a little irresponsible of him to let us ride in the dark and rain being obviously unfamiliar with the area. Howeverโ€ฆ Michael took full responsibility and made sure we were set on our way the next day. He even rode my friends bike for her and had someone else ride mine. All in all, a lovely stay but definitely would recommend to either wait for the road to be finished OR have Michael pick you up from the port ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘Œ Michael I forgive you ๐Ÿ˜Œ Marie I think will need more work hahaha

Beachhouse Udalo

JuditRating, 5 stars21 months ago
The property is gorgeous and a great place to relax! This cottage has the best view and balcony of the four cottages because it's closest to the beach. We appreciated the extra room with the small fridge this cottage has to offer. The only downside is the bathroom, which is rather small. I know it's common for Asian bathrooms to have the shower head pointing right at the toilet, but it's still a bit annoying. Ate Chanda is a great host on the property and very kind and helpful! The location is beautiful, with very few people on the beach. There are a lot of sea urchins right outside the property, so bringing aqua shoes is useful. To the left of the property there are no sea urchins and there is a beautiful location for swimming and snorkeling a ten minute walk away. Going to Puerto Galera is tricky and the boat drivers charged a large fee to take us there, so beware that this place is remoter than it might seem on the map. Overall, we loved our stay here and would love to return!

Jungle Beach Cabin Homestay

FlorisRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
From the start till the end, this Airbnb was perfect. Gerlyn and Marty really are the best hosts one could ever wish for. Gerlyn cooked us the best meals: whether it was blue Marlin with home grown pumpkin, pasta fettucini or adobo chicken: every dish was very tasty! ๐Ÿ˜ƒ Marty is the friendliest guy you will ever find and provides you with all the info you need. And their kid is the happiest boy you will ever meet :) We did a hike trough some Mangyan villages and visited a beautiful secluded waterfall, but mostly hung around and walked to the beach every day. Marty helped us arrange the pickup from the port with a boat and he personally escorted us in his 4x4 when we left. The cabin itself has the best Jungle/Ocean View you can wish for. But if you get tired of it you can also watch the sunset with a beer in the Jacuzzi next to their own bar ๐Ÿ˜…. We saw some monkeys and there is a nearby turtle sanctuary! You can make your own coffee, pancakes, eggs etc inside the Cabin. We loved it โ™ฅ๏ธ
